Hanukkah Saved Christmas

Christmas evening is the first night of Hanukkah this year, thus the cute pic. A major military victory was won by the Jewish Maccabees over the Greek occupiers 160 years before Yeshua came as a baby. That victory is still celebrated today as Hanukkah the Festival of Lights. It is also called the Feast of Dedication because the temple was rededicated after the Greeks had blasphemed the Temple Mount.

When the Israelites Revolted Against the Ancient Greeks –  “The Greek king, Antiochus IV, decided to ban the Jewish religion. He outlawed Jewish religious practices, such as the observance of the Sabbath or offering sacrifices at the temple in Jerusalem. Even owning a copy of the Jewish Scriptures ran the risk of the death penalty. Beyond this, Antiochus even made a point of desecrating the temple. He sacrificed a pig, which was a religiously unclean animal to the Jews, on the altar at the temple and set up an idol of Zeus on the holy Temple Mount. This was highly offensive to the Jews, since the temple was sacred to their god Yahweh, or Jehovah.”

If the Jews had not saved the temple Yeshua could not have fulfilled Micah’s prophecy of the Messiah. He was in the temple for His circumcision on the eighth day, His dedication at 40 days, and again when He was twelve. Of course He was there many other times through His life and ministry. That is how Hanukkah saved Christmas.

“Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says Yehovah of hosts.  Malachi 3:1

“Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.” John 10:22

One more important point connects the Festival of Lights with Jesus, the Light of the World. The miracle supply of oil for the temple menorah points to lighting the candles just as Jesus became the Light. He then shares His light with all who receive Him and follow Him.

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”John 8:12

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”  Matthew 5:14

Simeon of Jerusalem

I have not gone up to the Temple as often since I have gotten older, but today I just had to go. There was a sound inside of me as clear as a shofar calling to worship. Even though it was shoulder to shoulder because of children’s dedication day, the Holy Spirit compelled me to go today.

I am trembling with joy and can hardly see through my tears to write down what happened. For so long I have waited to see the Messiah as we all have, but God had spoken so clearly that I would live to see Messiah myself. It was really exciting for me as a young man when He spoke that promise to me. I believed Him with all my heart.

But I must admit I sometimes doubted that promise I heard from Yehovah many years ago, especially with my advancing age, but I could not give up on it. It was so clear. He spoke to my heart that I would live to see the promised Messiah of Israel with my own eyes! After nearly four thousand years it was nearly impossible to believe that one of such minor value as me would have such an extraordinary privilege.

There had to be several hundred dedications there today, but when I came up it was like the Red Sea parted and the Holy Spirit led me right to one particular mother holding her child. They were not different from the others; I just knew they were the ones I was supposed to see. She did not know me, but somehow trusted me to hold Him in my arms.

As soon as I did, my heart was on fire. It was from the inside, but even my body was shaking as I realized instantly that we had all been wrong expecting the Messiah to be a grown man, a conquering King. This child was the Messiah! My head was spinning, but my heart was sure. This little one is the Promise! My theology fell away. It doesn’t matter how to explain it. I know.

Immediately, words came out of my mouth like I was Elijah, or Isaiah, or Zechariah. I have never known anything like I know this. I had to write this down, now, before I forget a single word. I spoke the words, but the Ruach HaKodesh, the Spirit of the Holy One, was revealing everything to me as I declared the truth! This is what I said to her and her husband, but especially to her.

“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace (shalom), according to Your word; ​​For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:29-32

I really am ready to die now in perfect shalom. God kept His word to me! Yehovah’s salvation has come in human form! I saw Him! I don’t understand how, but He is the Messiah. He is going to be seen somehow by the whole world, not only Israel. How can it happen? I don’t know; but He will be revealed as Savior to everyone in the world and yet will glorify Israel more than ever. I stopped speaking for a moment as we sort of took it all in. The father, Joseph, and his wife, Mary, were as astounded as I was at the words I had spoken.

Then I felt led to speak a blessing over them and Mary specifically. Yet, it turned out to be more than a blessing, it was a prophecy. I am not sure I understand. But it was clearly supernatural, and I don’t question it. The Spirt seemed to indicate that unlike most nations that rise and fall and then disappear, Israel is soon to fall but will then rise again later! We were all so amazed! Also, the Child will be a sign that will create strong opposition that will personally bring pain to Mary. It is a mystery to me, but I know what I heard. There was a third effect as well. The coming revelation of this Child will expose the secret thoughts of people’s hearts! The Messiah will break through everyone’s hard heart so that nothing will be hidden from Yehovah. Here are the exact words He gave me.

“Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2:34-35

I don’t know if anyone will ever read this, but I just had to get it recorded for a testimony to the truth I saw and heard today. The Messiah has come!

Happy THANKS giving!

Who do you thank this week? Thanksgiving is about thanking God for His goodness. Here is a suggestion for your family meal. Read Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Proclamation during the civil war, and then take turns thanking God for all He has done for you personally.

Washington DC, October 3, 1863 – Proclamation By the President of the United States of America.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.

In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.

WHO is at the Top of Jacob’s Ladder?

There is a Person at the top of Jacob’s ladder who makes all the difference today in the Middle East and the world. Jacob’s dream is about 2025. This dream was a stand alone monumental declaration to Jacob and his descendants. This is not the time he wrestled with the angel. This dream was a unique visitation for one profound purpose. Yehovah confirmed and extended His promise given to Abraham and Isaac.

“As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. At the top of the stairway stood YEHOVAH, and he said, “I am Yehovah, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions—to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”  Genesis 28:12-15

Yehovah God was at the top of the stairs! He confirmed the promise in seven parts.

  1. The GROUND BELONGS to YOU!
  2. You will have multitudes of descendants in all directions.
  3. ALL the families of the earth blessed through you!
  4. I am with you.
  5. I will protect you.
  6. I will bring you back to THIS LAND.
  7. I will give you EVERYTHING I have PROMISED you.

We are living in the precise fulfillment of His promise as we rejoice in the restoration of Israel to their land, piece by piece, winning it city by city just as in Joshua’s day. This applies to Gaza, Judea and Samaria (West Bank), and to portions of Lebanon and Syria. Once again we see the faithfulness of God. His words are true because He is Truth! His words and character agree. Hallelujah!

Will Israel Annex West Bank?

(Greetings from my ministry trip in Sandpoint, Idaho – speaking Friday 7pm at River of Life and Sunday 10am at New Life Church)

Judea and Samaria, also called West Bank, may soon be added to Israel sovreignty. The election of Donald Trump has completely upended the status quo in Israel. A new day is dawning. Look for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords soon after January 20. Of course we know the Bible has clearly included Judea and Samaria in Israel since ancient times. They were part of the original allotment of the tribes of Israel under Joshua. (See Joshua Chapters 13-20.)

“These are the areas which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as an inheritance to them. Their inheritance was by lot, as Yehovah had commanded by the hand of Moses,”  Joshua 14:1-2

Already, strong statements have been made since the election of Trump, by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mike Huckabee. Mike is Trump’s pick as our new U.S. Ambassador to Israel. These are exciting days indeed!

Huckabee: Annexing Judea and Samaria ‘of course’ a possibility – Former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee, who boasts an impressive record of Israel support, called his appointment as an “extraordinary opportunity.” “Mike Huckabee, whom US President-elect Donald Trump nominated on Tuesday to ambassador to the Jewish state, told Israel’s Army Radio in his first interview since the announcement that “of course” the annexation of Judea and Samaria is a possibility under a second Trump White House.”

Netanyahu: ‘Annexation when Trump returns’ – The Prime Minister said recently in closed talks that after Trump’s entry into the White House, the issue of sovereignty over the Judea and Samaria areas should be revisited. His remarks join those of the remarks of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich who said yesterday that “2025 will, God willing, be the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Smotrich also said that “the only way to remove this threat from the agenda is to apply Israeli sovereignty to the settlements in Judea and Samaria. This is our answer to Sinwar, may his name and memory be erased, and to all the Nazis along the axis from Iran, Hezbollah, Yemen to what remains of Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the terrorists in Judea and Samaria,” said Smotrich.”

We have so much to thank God for and we still have much to pray for in the next two months of transition. This is a historic opportunity for a new beginning of genuine peace in the Middle East. Thank you Jesus!

Amos 1:6 Sinwar Is Dead

On the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Yahya Sinwar, Head of Hamas, was eliminated. We pray that Hamas will surrender now and release the 101 hostages, including four American citizens. Remember Yehovah revealed to Amos that He would not turn away His punishment or judgment of Gaza because this was their fourth transgression against Israel.

If Israel stops fighting before eliminating Hamas, Israel loses and Hamas wins. The Hamas Charter calls for the total annihilation of the Jews, not land for peace. They don’t care how many civilians are killed, except for world sympathy. Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu need our prayers for the courage to finish this war. I have shared this text several times since Oct 7, but let me emphasize one more time. This is God’s judgement of the wickedness of Hamas. Yehovah will not turn it away this time. This literally is the fourth Gaza war.

Thus says Yehovah: ​​“For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, ​​I will not turn away its punishment, ​​Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. ​​But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.  Amos 1:6-7

Gaza Hamas Attacks Israel Wars:

2008 – Operation Cast Lead

2012 – Operation Pillar of Defense

2014 – Operation Protective Edge

2023 – Operation Swords of Iron So, this is the 4th Gaza war. Pray it ends with total Hamas surrender!

The Fall Feasts began with Trumpets/Rosh HaShanah with Iran attacking Israel with 201 ballistic missiles and the miracle of God’s protection that no Israelis were killed. On Yom Kippur, Israel’s holiest day,  Hezbollah terrorists fired 320 missiles from Lebanon, yet with few injuries. A great miracle involved a direct hit on a retirement home that included Holocaust survivors. No one was injured!

Yom Kippur Miracle: Drone strikes old-age home; no injuries – Israeli President Isaac Herzog highlighted a particularly concerning target of the attack. “Hezbollah’s latest targets were elderly Jews and Holocaust survivors in a retirement home,”

You may notice a pattern here with the Feast days. We still await Israel’s serious and surprising counter attack on Iran. Tabernacles runs to October 24th. Will it be during or after this Feast? Pray for wisdom and courage for Netanyahu and his advisors. Pray that his top advisor will be Yehovah God.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  Romans 8:31-35

The Party of Allah

Hezbollah literally translated is “party of Allah.” Make no mistake. Israel is in the middle of a cosmic clash between the living God Yehovah and the pagan idol usurper. I usually don’t use the name of that god, but you need to know the difference.

“And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.”  Exodus 23:13

“You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”  Exodus 23:32-33

The god of Islam is not the same as Yehovah. Their god is not a father and has no son according to the Koran. The Jesus (Isa) of the Koran did not die or raise from the dead. That is a denial of the only blood sacrifice of Jesus that paid for our salvation and fulfilled all the promises of the Promised ONE! Do not miss the importance of using the name of Yehovah (Jehovah or Yahweh). It is His name. Use of the generic “god” dilutes the distinction. Say His name!

“Not unto us,O Yehovah, not unto us, ​​but to Your name give glory​Why should the Gentiles say, ​​“So where is their God?” ​​But our God is in heaven; ​​He does whatever He pleases. ​​Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. ​​They have mouths, but they do not speak; ​​Eyes they have, but they do not see; ​​They have ears, but they do not hear; ​Noses they have, but they do not smell; ​​They have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat. ​​Those who make them are like them;​​So is everyone who trusts in them. ​​O Israel, trust in Yehovah;”  Psalm 115:1-9

“Who is the liar but he who denies that Yeshua is the Messiah? This is the Anti-messiah, he who denies the Father and the Son.”  1 John 2:22 HNV

We serve the living God Yehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the God of Israel, the One true God the Father. We worship Yeshua, Jesus the Son of Yehovah! Hallelujah!

Beepers, Walkie Talkies, and the Bible

Over 5,000 Hezbollah casualties hit with pinpoint precision by the unprecedented surprise attack. Virtually every single one was a terrorist. Some are comparing it to the preemptive Six Day War wipeout of Egypt and Syria’s air force. Please remember one clear background fact. Hezbollah has fired over 8,000 rockets into Israel since the October 7th massacre eleven months ago, which included dozens of rapes of Israeli wives and daughters. War in Lebanon is on the brink.

Does this relate at all to the Bible? Is it connected to prophecy? Israel Today linked the pagers to the rape of Dinah in Genesis 34.

“Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.”  Genesis 34

After the Hivite man had defiled Dinah, Jacob’s sons agreed to peace with the Hivites if they would circumcize all their males to which it was agreed. Then on the third day, while they were still in pain, Simeon and Levi killed every male and took a spoil. This may be the pattern that Israel is pursuing today.

Today, as I write, it is the third day since the pager attack. If not today, then soon Israel will enter Lebanon to enforce UN Resolution 1701 which ended the 2006 Lebanon War. It was agreed for a buffer zone of 10-20 miles from Israel’s border north to the Litani River in Lebanon and the complete disarmament of Hezbollah. This never happened and Hezbollah uses that buffer zone to fire rockets and even to prepare the same kind of invasion that Hamas did from Gaza. Israel simply cannot allow it and must at least push them back to the River.

Now it came to pass on the third day, when they were in pain, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword and came boldly upon the city and killed all the males. And they killed Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah from Shechem’s house, and went out. The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and plundered the city, because their sister had been defiled.”  Genesis 34

Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am Yehovah their God.”  Ezekiel 28:25-26

A few points to remember from Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram channel:

🔸 Hezbollah is an Iranian-proxy terrorist organization.

🔸 Like Hamas, Hezbollah also has genocidal intentions to annihilate Israel, which they have made repeatedly clear and have sought to act out on those intentions.

🔸 Hezbollah joined Hamas on Oct 8th and has since fired over 8,500 rockets at Israel, with daily attacks.

🔸 43 people in Israel have been murdered in the Hezbollah attacks, including 12 children in the Majdal Shams massacre.

🔸 Over 80,000 Israelis have also been displaced from the north of the country, as a result of ongoing Hezbollah fire.

🔹 Accordingly, Israel is fully entitled under international law, including but not limited to Art. 51 of the UN Charter, to exercise its right to self-defense.

🔹 If the pager attack today was indeed carried out by Israel (albeit that has not been confirmed and no proof provided), this response was carried out fully in accordance with international law, including principles of proportionality.

After generations of terror, Hezbollah finally suffered a reckoning – Thousands of terrorists were hit in the single greatest targeted attack on an Islamic terror group.

“They are panicking. They can’t stop talking about it!” – Israel surveys Western and especially Arab media reactions to the stunning pager attacks on Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Israel offers to end war, let Sinwar leave if all hostages freed at once, Gaza disarmed – Proposal, discussed in Washington recently, also stipulates new regime for Strip; hostages’ relatives hail plan, but Hamas official swiftly rejects it as ‘ridiculous’

More than ever we need to pray for wisdom and courage for Israel’s leaders and that they will listen to Yehovah God for direction.

Last Days: Good or Bad?

Yes, both! As we approach the Second Coming of our Messiah Jesus, many wonder if life will get better or worse. The answer is yes. The future for the wicked is bleak and hopeless. However, it is different for those who have made peace through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. We too will go through tough times, but He will be with us and give us supernatural peace.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Some translations say “peace that passes understanding.” I call it peace that doesn’t make sense. We had a house fire back in 2001 and stood watching 40 foot flames from the roof. Yet, Doreen looked at me and said: “I’m sure glad I wore my comfortable shoes.” My comment was: “l sure didn’t see that coming.” We had real supernatural peace. We certainly could not have faked in that circumstance. No, we actually experienced peace from God above. It was tangible. We needed Him and He was there with us. Habakkuk described the same reaction in the worst of times:

“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in Yehovah! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Yehovah is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”  Habakkuk 3:17-19 NLT

Elections in the U.S, war in Israel and Europe, economic collapse, WWIII? or maybe a season of peace and prosperity? As the song says: We don’t know what the future holds, but we know Who hold the future.” Do not lose hope. Stand in faith! God is faithful!

“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”  Romans 3:3-4

Good Kings and Bad Kings Matter

The next two months are critical for Western civilization which is founded on Judeo Christian precepts. The elections in America and the war in Israel sober us regarding national leadership. If we learn anything from the Bible, the courage and steadfastness of the king makes all the difference. Sadly most kings were selfish and rebelled from God’s ways. I often ask who was the first king of Israel? Most will say King Saul, but they would be wrong. God was King long before Israel demanded a human king “like the other nations.” So, God gave them Saul who only served himself, like the kings of other nations. Yet, Yehovah God in His mercy rejected Saul as king and raised up King David. 

“But now your kingdom shall not continue. Yehovah has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and Yehovah has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what Yehovah commanded you.”  1 Samuel 13:14

Later on, after numerous bad kings, God raise up another good king. King Josiah was only eight years old when he became king, but God specifically described his character and steadfastness.

“Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. …..And he did what was right in the sight of Yehovah, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.”  2 Kings 22:1-2

Now, in 2024, the future of the West may be decided. We must hear from God when we vote, and when we pray. How should we pray? Pray that our leaders will be chosen by God. Pray that they will have humility and wisdom and that they will hear the Holy Spirit in every decision. God will guide them if they listen and do not turn to the right hand or the left. Pray they follow the path blazed by Jesus our Messiah. Pray that they love God and set Him as the foundation of their government. Pray that they will do what is right in the sight of Yehovah and His Son, Yeshua. 

“And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”  Luke 24:27

How wonderful it would have been to have walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus when He opened all of history to those disciples. There has never been a greater teaching before or since. Pray that our leaders will find salvation and the fulness of the Holy Spirit. Pray that they will walk with Jesus, listen well, turn not to the right or left, and that they will do what is right in the sight of Yehovah!

No apartheidHappy Gaza rescue this week of a Bedouin Muslim Israeli citizen. Notice the picture of him with his religious leader and brother, and the religious Jewish doctor celebrating the rescue by Israeli commandos from multiple faiths. This puts the lie to the propaganda media accusation that Israel is apartheid. Here are his own words: “This is thanks to our army, they are doing holy work, risking their lives.” – Israeli Bedouin hostage Farhan Alkadi speaking with President Isaac Herzog following his rescue yesterday. An Arab Muslim praising what Israeli soldiers are doing in Gaza, and calling the IDF “our army.” This is a reality you won’t see portrayed by the deceitful mainstream international media. Israel Today. Indeed, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Contrast that Israeli diversity with the true apartheid in Iran, where the Ayatollah insists on division within Islam itself. Iran is Shia and most other Muslims are Sunni. I have often stated that if Iran had one nuclear bomb they would use it on Saudi Arabia, who are Sunni.

“Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei: Forget all the Arab and Islamic issues. Forget America, Israel and the whole world. They all mean nothing to us and do not concern us at all. Our first and last battle is with the followers of Yazid bin Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan. That is, our battle is with the Sunni Muslims until the Day of Judgment.” Amir Tsarfati

This dispute traces all the way back to the death of Muhammed and who should be his successor. It is important to understand that Satan is divided even against himself. He rules by fear and domination, but certainly not from unity. Our best prayer against him is that God would deal with our enemies as he did with the Midianites. (See Psalm 83) The best victory is when our enemies turn on each other and destroy one another. God did that with Gideon and also with Jehoshaphat.

And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says Yehovah to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (v.15) “Now when they began to sing and to praise, Yehovah set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.”  2 Chronicles 20:15, 22-24

We would do well to remember that the battle belongs to the Lord God!

600 from North America!

Aliyah 2024

Wars and rumors of wars and 600 N. Americans decided it is time to move to Israel. If you have not read Jeremiah 31 lately, now is the time. God is moving on His people, Jesus is calling, and the Holy Spirit is drawing them home from all the countries where they were scattered. Immigrating to Israel is called “aliyah” which means going up. It was the word used calling Israel to go up to Jerusalem three times a year for the Feasts of Yehovah. Notice the ending is “Yah” which is short for Yehovah. In reality they were going up… to God! So it is for 2,000 Jews making aliyah to Israel this summer. Praise the Lord!

Hundreds of North Americans make aliyah in a week – Over the course of the week (August 20-28), 600 newcomers will make Israel their new home, on 14 group Aliyah flights, offered by Nefesh B’Nefesh. This latest wave of immigrants is part of a larger movement that has seen 2,000 Olim, ranging in age from just 2 months old to 97 years old, embark on their journey to Israel this summer. The new citizens hail from a diverse array of states and provinces across the US and Canada, including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Ontario.

Despite conflict, scores of Jews move to Israel – Despite the ongoing war and lack of safety, a new wave of Jews from the US and France choose to make aliyah, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the State of Israel.

Lies and blood libel against Israel and the Jews cannot stop the flow of returning Jews. The world is blind, but Yehovah God is keeping His word! I liken it to salmon returning to their spawning grounds. Something supernatural happens in the Jewish heart. God calls and they must respond. Jeremiah calls it the new covenant written on their hearts. We should pray in agreement with the Holy Spirit unction in every heart. You really should read all of Jeremiah 31, but here are a few verses.

“Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and the one who labors with child, together; a great throng shall return there.” v.8

“Hear the word of Yehovah, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’” v.10

“Behold, the days are coming, says Yehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says Yehovah. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yehovah: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”  v.31-33

Not Iran’s Prophetic Time

Media is anticipating a major war with Israel and Iran but I am not convinced. Events are more accurately viewed by Scripture and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. There may be a war, but Iran must lose because it is not her prophetic time. I speak this with conviction from Bible prophecy. My beloved mentor, Earl Waterman, often said: : I’m not a prophet or a prophet’s son, but I’ll do the prophesying till the prophet comes.” Having been a pastor/shepherd most of my life, the Lord Jesus has moved my assignment to speak about God’s faithfulness to Israel. I identify with Brother Earl and also with Amos.

But Amos replied, “I’m not a professional prophet, and I was never trained to be one. I’m just a shepherd, and I take care of sycamore-fig trees. But Yehovah called me away from my flock and told me, ‘Go and prophesy to my people in Israel.’”  Amos 7:14-15 NLT

Iran is destined to collapse in the near future. Since I discovered the juxtaposition of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38; it has been clear that Iran must diminish for a time. Israel must come into an extraordinary peace before the Gog and Magog War of Ezekiel 38. There are two compelling Biblical reasons for this.

#1 – Both prophecies name specific countries around Israel. But, none of those named in Psalm 83 are repeated in Ezekiel 38. Why? I believe the Abraham Accords will continue to expand creating real peace with all of Israel’s immediate Arab neighbors. (See Isaiah 19.) Therefore, the timing issue requires a substantial period of peace before Gog and Magog. Also, Ezekiel 38 is clear (several times) that the invasion occurs when Israel has taken down the walls which now dot the landscape, especially around Jerusalem, and they are dwelling without gates in “a land of unwalled villages.”

#2 – Iran/Persia is not named in Psalm 83, but is a major player with Turkey in Ezekiel. Therefore, Iran must diminish or collapse in the present. It is simply not their time yet. They will not expand at this time, but their time will come later. I have been predicting the diminishing of Iran for several years. It is now becoming evident.

Experts are now suggesting major faults in many areas of the Iranian regime. It may fall the same way the Soviet Union fell in the 90’s. The Ayatollah is reportedly near death and the government is very shaky. The economy is collapsing. Israel is poised to eliminate the nuclear threat as soon as necessary. In addition, there are more than five distinct minorities in Iran that are plotting a coup against the Ayatollah. Only about half of Iran’s population is Persian. The rest are various ethnic minorities such as Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Azeris, and others. For more on this watch a two minute interview with Dr. Mordechai Kedar, a Mideast expert from Bar-Ilan University in Israel. It starts at about 5:40 into the video.

As the Arab nations make peace there are still terrorist groups that must also disappear including Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza, the Houtis in Yemen, and Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. These will fall from within according to the prayer of Psalm 83.

Deal with them as with Midian, Psalm 83:9

Gideon’s victory over the Midianites was because Yehovah caused a terror to sweep over them and they killed each other in the confusion. That is the prayer of Psalm 83 for today’s enemies of Israel. Let it be done according to God’s word!

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before Yehovah our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:6-7 NLT

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Yehovah himself watches over you! Yehovah stands beside you as your protective shade. Psalm 121:3-5 NLT

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray that the leaders will hear and obey the voice of Yehovah God.. Also, pray for the salvation of Jew and Arabs alike.

Delivered From the Violent Man

The Middle East is on fire! Exactly 300 days ago the head of Hamas was thanking his pagan god for the massacre that day from Gaza into Israel. Today is his funeral in Iran! Earthshaking events are now almost daily. Political, military, and even physical earthquakes have roiled the region. Assassinations and funerals are followed by loud threats of revenge. Israel recently had major success taking out enemy leaders including the #1 of Hamas, #3 of Hamas, #2 of Hezbollah, and several lower commanders. The actions were in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen. Israel has moved from defense to offense. Major revenge attacks are expected that could lead to a wider war to the north. Even here in America there is a sense of growing threats of terrorism because of our open border and impotent administration. So, where shall we stand? Should we submit to fear and terror; or should we turn upwards and call upon our Deliverer?

“​​For who is God, except Yehovah? ​And who is a rock, except our God? ​​It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. ​​He makes my feet like the feet of deer and sets me on my high places. ​​He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. ​​You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; your right hand has held me up. ​​Your gentleness has made me great. ​​You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip. ​​I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.”  Psalm 18:31-37

The nations always pressure Israel to restrain, hold back, cease fire, and compromise. However, we are at a turning point. Israel is rising to push back the aggressors whose aim is the genocide of the Jewish people and nation. We must fervently pray for victory and wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Our loyalty is not to man but to the God whose unconditional promises will be fulfilled.

“Yehovah lives! ​​Blessed be my Rock! ​​Let the God of my salvation be exalted. ​​It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me; ​​He delivers me from my enemies. ​​You also lift me up above those who rise against me; ​​You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore, I will give thanks to You, O Yehovah, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name.”  Psalm 18:46-49

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Pray for Messiah Yeshua to protect His people. Pray for hearts turning to call on the living God for His salvation. Jesus is coming!

Hamas Coming or Jesus Coming?

Yesterday saw another Hamas riot in DC during Netanyahu’s speech to Congress. One demonstrator protestor rioter was seen holding a sign saying: “Final Solution.” Others were screaming Allahu Akbar, which is the cry of suicide bombers just before they detonate. (By the way, it means: “Allah is the Greatest” not God is Great. It refers specifically to the god of Islam claiming to be greater than Yehovah.) But perhaps the most chilling declaration was spray painted on a statue of George Washington: “Hamas is Comin” (See photo: He ran out of space reminding me of the old “plan ahead” joke.)

HAMAS-IS-COMING

Yet, they really do believe that the Hamas version of Islam is coming to America, to DC. Yes, it is the same spirit of Isis, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, and over 50 more designated terror groups. When I say “same spirit” I mean it literally. It is a demonic spirit or principality associated with radical jihadi Islam, but it comes straight from hell.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”  Ephesians 6:12

It is true that Jesus died for Muslims, but they become ex-Muslim when they accept that Jesus is the Son of Yehovah God and that He died as the blood sacrifice for our sins. It is considered the highest blasphemy in Islam, and they are executed under Sharia law for converting. So which is it? Is Hamas coming or is Jesus coming?

The greatest hope of true Messianic believers is His Second Coming. After the resurrection, Jesus (Yeshua) ascended into heaven and promised He would return. It makes perfect sense that Satan would co-opt that hope while broadcasting his scheme to defeat Yehovah. But he will fail again because Yehovah God is truly the Greatest! There may be terror attacks in America but if we stay true to Jesus, He will ultimately prevail.

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,”  Titus 2:11-13

Is vandalism free speech? No, it is lawlessness. The problem is that we are not enforcing laws. There is such a thing as civil disobedience in protest, while accepting the consequences if laws are broken. The problem with protests today is that it’s easy to join because their are no consequences. If laws were enforced there would be far smaller crowds protesting. Many join for the fun or self importance feeling, but are not willing to pay a real price. We are living through turbulent times, but Jesus is on the Throne and God is in control!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for Israel, for Netanyahu, safety and victory for the troops, and salvation for both sides.

BEFORE Deliverance is Belief

BEFORE Moses could lead his people out of Egyptian slavery, they were required to believe. Before the ten plagues, the Israelites had to believe God through Moses. Belief comes first. Yet, God was willing to confirm His Divine plan of deliverance with personal signs. Exodus 4 is an overlooked part of the Exodus account. Before the famous plagues, Israel had to believe. Yehovah gave them two signs to confirm that He was with Moses.

First, He changed the rod of Moses into a snake and back again. This hearkened back to the Garden showing authority over the serpent, Satan. It also specifically applied to the Pharaohs’ snake god worn on his headdress. God revealed He had authority over Egypt’s gods. Yehovah revealed Himself as El Shaddai.

Second, God also turned Moses’ hand to leprosy and then healed it. This sign indicated that Yehovah would heal and protect His people even through suffering. He revealed Himself as Yehovah Rafah, “I am Yehovah who heals you.”

“Then Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel. And Aaron spoke all the words which Yehovah had spoken to Moses. Then he did the signs in the sight of the people.”  Exodus 4:29-30

Notice that this gathering of the elders of Israel was before Moses went to Pharaoh. God was merciful to give these signs to His own, before the ten plagues even started. The people had to be on board before their deliverance. They had to believe first. This is still true today for our salvation and deliverance from sin. We are required to believe.

“So the people believed; and when they heard that Yehovah had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.”  Exodus 4:31

So we also humble our selves and worship our Savior and Messiah Jesus. He is Yehovah ben Yeshua!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and total victory in Gaza. Pray that the people will believe in God for their deliverance first.

Three Circles

I see three circles drawn around Israel. The inner circle comprises the countries that geographically touch Israel named in Psalm 83. The next larger circle is the countries listed in Ezekiel 38. The third and largest circle represents all the rest of the world. In Yehovah God’s view, Israel is the center of the world, the apple of His eye. We are now seeing the final prophesied battles. Specific countries are named in Psalm 83 & Ezekiel 38. Yet, they are two different lists with no overlapping. The Ps. 83 War is almost complete, ending in a time of extraordinary peace described in Ezek. 38.

In Matthew 25, Jesus reveals the standard of national judgement for the remaining countries. Each country will finally be judged by its alignment either for or against Israel. I believe they are the “sheep and goat” nations to which Jesus referred in Matthew 25.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’”  Matthew 25:31-36

The familiar end of this passage explains that “they” are judged on how they treated the least of His brothers. I know this is usually applied to individuals and whether or not they help the poor or visit prisoners, but the context is clear. Jesus is judging entire nations by this standard. While not ruling out the popular interpretation, we must at least allow the literal contextual reading. There will be sheep and goat nations! I pray, as a US citizen, that our nation will stand with Israel and be blessed to find our nation as a sheep nation on His right hand on judgment day. It is an absolutely basic premise throughout the Scriptures found clearly stated here:

“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”  Genesis 12:2-3

This “boomerang principle” cannot be cancelled. It is God’s unbroken promise since Genesis. He is the God who cannot lie. His word is true. All others are liars. Yehovah God is faithful. We can only choose blessing or curse. And as for me and my house, we will serve Yehovah and His Son Yeshua, the Lamb of God and Messiah, who takes away the sins of the world.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, wisdom for the leaders, protection of the troops and salvation for both Jews and Arabs, as well as all who call on His name!

Give Isis a State?

Why not give Isis a state? They have the same ideology of Hamas. Several countries (Spain, Ireland, and Norway) announced unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Eighty per cent of Palestinians support Hamas. At no time did Isis murder, rape, and behead 1,200 civilians in a single day. Yet, Palestinians who celebrated the October 7th massacre are rewarded with a state. There is no history of a state called Palestine. They are simply Arabs from surrounding countries to Israel. All the residents of the land were called Palestinians in the 20th Century. Look closely at the poster attached to this blog post. This was a Jewish Zionist poster calling to free “Palestine” from British rule. Even Jews used the term which had been applied by the Romans in 135 AD in order to wipe out the name of Israel, which has been Satan’s goal in every generation.

“They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”  Psalm 83:4

Add to this the fact the nations are honoring the death of the President of Iran who was known as the “butcher of Tehran.” Iran is the most evil terror sponsor among all the nations. Even the U.S. stood in remembrance. We are living in an upside down world. Would America have stood for a moment of silence for Hitler or Stalin? The message is that terrorism works!

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”  Isaiah 5:20

“In transgressing and lying against Yehovah, and departing from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. ​​Justice is turned back, and  righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. ​​So truth fails, ​​and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.​ ​​Then Yehovah saw it, and it displeased Him ​that there was no justice.”  Isaiah 59:13-15

In spite of the goat nations of the world agreeing to wipe out Israel, Yehovah God’s eternal promise will prevail. His word is truth! Truth is a person, Jesus, our Messiah. Pray for the blinders to fall off and the truth be revealed.

Israel – Abandoned and Demonized

Today I must share this poem written just this week by my dear friend Michael Masambu of Kenya. He and his sweet wife Mama Sera were with us on our Israel tour nine months ago, only three weeks before the October 7 massacre of 1,200 + Israeli citizens. It was the worst one day loss of lives since the Holocaust. Michael was moved as we all were by the great tragedy and we choose to stand with Israel to eliminate Hamas. Hamas is the exact same spirit as Isis. We pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu and all the leaders of Israel. In the end it will be Yehovah God and His Messiah Yeshua who will win the day. He keeps His word to a thousand generations!

The Ironic Passover of 2024

3,470 years ago Satan tried to exterminate Israel using the Pharaoh of Egypt. Countless attempts have followed throughout history peaking with Hitler. He succeeded in killing six million Jews. Yet, three years later, modern Israel was born. The miracle of Yehovah’s preservation of His people is undeniable.

How ironic that the same demonic spirit is still at it. From the October 7th massacre, it has only become worse. Antisemitism is spreading over the earth faster than a pandemic. In our modern days of “enlightenment and reason” how ironic that ignorance reigns again. But God is still in control; and He will yet again preserve Israel in this day! It is fitting that we observe Passover during this present war and pandemonium. Now more than ever, we need the Lamb of God.

Passover centers around the sacrifice of a lamb on that long ago night in Egypt. But over three millennia later it is still observed by Jews and many Christians. The Passover lamb was the prophetic picture of the ultimate sacrifice of the Messiah Son of God, whose blood paid the price for our sins. Yeshua is the Lamb that God provided for our sins, just as he did for Abraham and Isaac.

And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.  Genesis 22:8

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  John 1:28

The Temple sacrifices of Israel only covered over their sin for another year. But, the death of God’s Son completely removed, took away our sins, if we believe Him. He is the Messiah, the Promised One!

The devil is still trying to kill the Jews, but he will fail again. Yehovah fights for Israel. The miraculous shooting down of 110 ballistic missiles from Iran is the latest example. There will be no “two-state solution.”

Miracle of Miracles – The greatest miracle of our times, on par, perhaps, with that of the Six-Day War, occurred last Saturday night (April 14). More than 360 missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles were dispatched by Iran to Israel.”

Notice the  picture (above) of the IDF soldier holding matzah bread. Three points about the bread reveal Jesus. It is striped and pierced; as was Jesus. But most importantly, it is unleavened. Jesus was “unleavened” by sin. He was sinless. That is why He qualified to die in our place. Thank you Father God and thank you Jesus, our Messiah!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray that “next year in Jerusalem,” there will be peace!

Linking Israel’s Prophetic Events & Iran

Connect the Dots = Mystery Solved – Iran is about to be attacked by Israel after Iran’s bombardment of Israel last Saturday night. Can we know what happens next? Yes, if we connect the dots, we can see the relationship between different pieces of information. Iran will have a major defeat leading to a time of peace. Israel prophecy is clarified by understanding the Biblical events timeline. I think of it as connecting the dots. Instead of seeing unrelated events we begin to recognize a pattern unfolding that links the events to each other.

There are three modern day Israel events that reveal the pattern. They are the Holocaust, the Arab invasions of Israel’s new state, and then the intrusion of Iran into the mix. I am not prophesying; I am laying out simple prophetic Scriptures. If it is just from me it is subjective, but if it is revealed in the Bible we can take it to the bank. Each of the three events above are predicted in Scripture.

  1. The Holocaust is described in Psalm 102:1-12. Then comes the glorious promise of the time to favor Zion, the set time, in verse 13. This prophecy was historically fulfilled right after the Holocaust in 1948. “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.”
  2. The Arab Invasion is described in Psalm 83 and began the very next day after Israel declared their independence. Those countries continued warring against Israel for decades. But now we have seen peace treaties and the Abraham Accords that have ended the Psalm 83 War. However, it is not quite over because the terror proxies of Iran are still attacking. Iran has even attacked Israel directly. All of these have the same goal: the wiping out of Israel forever. Their argument is with Yehovah God Himself, and He has the final word. The prayer of Psalm 83 is that the enemies would fight each other as the Midianites did in Gideon’s day, which we have seen in the present. Keep praying that prayer.
  3. The Iranian Intrusion is an event out of timing with prophecy. Iran is part of the Ezekiel 38 Gog and Magog invasion. But there is a critical prophetic key to unlock the timing. Simply compare the nations listed in Psalm 83 with the nations listed in Ezekiel 38. They are two completely different lists. The first are the ones who now border Israel. The Ezekiel nations will be on the border of Israel after the end of the Psalm 83 War. But, the problem is that Iran is acting now, out of timing. Therefore, I conclude that they will have to be diminished or disabled in a very serious way. That is why I expect Israel to administer a major blow in the near future, so bad that Iran will not recover for a decade or more. A simple reading of Ezekiel 38:1-14 will reveal that the condition of Israel at the time of that invasion is one of extraordinary peace, certainly not true now, or in the first 75 years of Israel’s restoration. Look for the major setback of Iran followed by a flood of nations joining the Abraham Accords including Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and many more.

Gog and Magog? Not! Here are the seven phrases in Ezekiel 38 regarding Israel’s status before the Gog and Magog invasion. This is why I believe all the talk about that Gog invasion being imminent is mistaken. I was in Israel just last September and saw the 25 foot walls in many places. They will be removed when real peace comes and after that time of peace with their neighbors, then comes the Ezekiel 38 Invasion.

“they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.” v. 8

Gog and Magog say: “I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates” v. 11

“when My people Israel dwell safely” v. 14

Please pray for the daily threats, developments and decisions right now. This is a critical point in history. God knows the end from the beginning and He has it all under control. His will is being done. Messiah Yeshua is with us and will never leave us or forsake us. 

“Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep… Yehovah shall preserve you from all evil; ​​He shall preserve your soul. Yehovah shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.”  Psalm 121: 4, 7-8

Let My People Go!

Let my people

“Bring Them Home” is the WRONG SLOGAN concerning Hamas hostages. It implies that the decision is in the hands of Israel. It is not.  Where are the ultimatums to Hamas? In World War II it was: unconditional surrender or else! The only way to end a war is by absolute victory.

Remember that God is involved in the equation, as he was in the Exodus from Egypt. Yehovah’s demand from Pharaoh included consequences. Israel and the West should demand Hamas surrender and release all hostages. If Hamas surrendered it would be over instantly: no more deaths, hostages freed, and all civilians safe. Instead we see these insufferable delays and fake “negotiations.” Need I remind you of Amos 1:6-7 where God Himself says He will not turn away Gaza’s punishment after the fourth war, which is this one. (See my earlier post.)

Let our people go: Kibbutz Nir Oz holds ’empty seder’ demanding hostage deal – Passover, which commemorates the liberation of Jewish slaves from Ancient Egypt, traditionally marks the arrival of spring and a time of renewal in Israel. Over six months into the war, this year the holiday takes on a particularly poignant and desperate tone. A little over a week away, the first night of the week-long festival coincides with 199 days since the October 7 massacre. Kibbutz Nir Oz, lying on the Gaza border, was one of the hardest hit communities on that black Saturday when one-quarter of its residents were murdered or abducted.

U.S. officials fear most of hostages in Gaza could be dead – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed the deaths of 34 hostages still held by Hamas, citing intelligence gathered by troops operating in Gaza. U.S. officials have voiced concerns that the majority of hostages held by Hamas might have have been killed, raising alarm bells over the ongoing negotiations for their release. According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, sourced from U.S. officials, there are growing fears that most of the Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity may already be dead.

We have passed six months of war; and now, astonishingly, the Biden Administration is demanding that Israel stop. Biden says don’t go into Rafah, the final stronghold of Hamas. That would mean the victory of Hamas who live to fight another day, to massacre another day. Israel cannot and will not allow that. They will defy Biden if necessary, but Israel’s very existence is on the line. Right now the terrorist jihadis are salivating over their pending great victory. Remember that Israel is just the little Satan, but the U.S. is the big Satan. “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.”

The only answer is total victory for Israel and our shared Judeo/Christian values, our Bible promises! Don’t give up. Keep watching and praying.

Netanyahu: No force on Earth can stop us from defeating Hamas – PM meets new IDF recruits, says Israel will destroy the last Hamas battalions in Rafah regardless of any international pressure not to do so.

“What then shall we say to these things? If Godis for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  Romans 8:31-35

Paul was declaring victory for all Jew and Christian believers in the eternal promises of the covenant keeping God. Jesus, our Messiah, died and rose from the dead and makes intercession for us at the right hand of God. Nothing can separate us from His love. Hold fast your confession of faith!

The Audacity of Senator Schumer!

The leader of the United States Senate has called for the overthrow of the government of Israel, our closest Middle East ally. He also insists on giving the terrorists their own independent state. This is the very meaning of audacity from Merriam-Webster: “bold or arrogant disregard of normal restraints” Senator Schumer has defied the longstanding position of both our government and the American people, who overwhelmingly support Israel. He did this today from the floor of the US Senate.

Chuck Schumer calls for new elections in Israel, says Netanyahu ‘has to go’ – Senate Majority Leader gives major address from the Senate floor on ‘a pathway to peace and achieving a two-state solution,’ attacks Israeli government and calls for new elections. Schumer called for the holding of new elections in Israel, saying that “Netanyahu has lost his way.” He further called the Israeli Prime Minister an “obstacle to peace.”

The US goal should be the overthrow of Hamas, not Israel! What most Americans don’t get is that the Palestinians demand a stated free of all Jews, totally apartheid. The majority even go further and say NO ISRAEL! What Schumer ignores is that 75% of Israeli’s oppose a new Arab state. Remember this battle is not flesh and blood but a spiritual battle between Yehovah God’s revealed plan and the forces of supernatural principalities and powers.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”  Ephesians 6:10-12

“Holy” Ramadan

The world is aghast that Israel would continue fighting in Gaza during Ramadan, the month-long Islamic holiday. Yet, the Oct 7 invasion and massacre of Israeli civilians was intentionally on a Jewish holy day, Simchat Torah, the conclusion of the Feast of Tabernacles. Also, the 1973 Arab/Israeli War was an Arab surprise attack on the most holy day in Judaism, Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. So please, don’t fall for the “holy day is off limits” ploy from Hamas.

“Late March will see the beginning of the month of Ramadan, which, in addition to being a month of fasting and piety, is also associated with jihad and martyrdom. According to Muslim tradition, during Ramadan Allah grants the Muslims glorious victories, as exemplified by the fact that the great battles of Islam, such as the Battle of Badr in 624, the conquest of Mecca in 630, the conquest of Andalusia in 711, the battle of Ein Jalut in 1260, and the October 6, 1973 “War of Ramadan” fought by Egypt against Israel, as well as other victories – all occurred during Ramadan. Laylat Al-Qadr, one of the last nights of Ramadan, has been marked over the years by many terrorist attacks.”  Memri.org

If Israel stops fighting before eliminating Hamas, Israel loses and Hamas wins. The Hamas Charter calls for the total annihilation of the Jews, not land for peace. They don’t care how many civilians are killed, except for world sympathy. Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu need our prayers for the courage to finish this war. I have shared this text several times since Oct 7, but let me emphasize one more time. This is God’s judgement of the wickedness of Hamas. Yehovah will not turn it away this time. This literally is the fourth Gaza war.

Thus says Yehovah: ​​“For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, ​​I will not turn away its punishment, ​​Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. ​​But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.  Amos 1:6-7

Gaza wars:

2008 – Operation Cast Lead.

2012 – Operation Pillar of Defense.

2014 – Operation Protective Edge.

2023 Operation Swords of Iron. So, this is the fourth Gaza war.

Yehovah God will not turn away their punishment this time! Please pray that Israel will stand strong against the ungodly pressure from the nations. This war will end with victory for Israel, not because they are righteous, but because they are chosen. The land is God’s gift to Israel from the River of Egypt (the Nile) to the great River Euphrates (in northern Syria).

On the same day Yehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.” Genesis 15:18

‘October 7, part two’: Iran plans for terror during Ramadan, Israel charges – Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday warned that Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas are trying to use Ramadan to inflame the region so as to achieve another October 7 disaster against Israel.

SIN-WAR!

Gaza’s Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, is the key to understanding the Gaza war. Here is my summary. He was convicted of murder in 1988 and was serving four life sentences in Israeli prison. Sinwar, now 61, was released in 2011 in a prisoner deal where Israel released 1,026 terrorists for ONE Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. This shows two things. Israel values human life; and that exchanging terrorist murders for hostages will come back to bite you. The title “Sin-war!” indicates the evil sin of the October 7 massacre that provoke the Gaza war using a play on words with the perpetrator, Yahya Sinwar.

Yahya Sinwar: the man who may hold key to release of Gaza hostages – Man described by Israel as architect of the 7 October attacks is now perhaps the most powerful figure in Hamas. Israeli officials have described him as the architect of the 7 October attacks, which killed 1,200, mostly civilians, and so “a dead man walking”.

Yahya Sinwar, Hamas leader – He was convicted for the murder of Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel and was sentenced to four life sentences in prison.

Gaza’s humanitarian crisis: Yahya Sinwar sets up a trap for Israel – Hamas’s leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, is betting on international authorities forcefully stopping the IDF’s invasion of Gaza in its tracks.

Hamas: ‘The Israelis are right where we want them’ – Hamas leader in Gaza sending optimistic messages to terror group’s fighters on the ground.

Israel estimates: Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar hiding in Gaza – In Israel’s estimation, Hamas leader Yahya SInwar still hiding in tunnels beneath Khan Yunis, but killing him risks lives of ‘human shields’ hostages.

When Yehovah allows enemies to come against His people it is usually because of sin in the camp. The only course for us is repentance. God protects us when we follow Him. When we pray for Israel we need also pray for ourselves and our nation. This is needed for the whole world.

“Then they cried out to Yehovah, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken Yehovah and served the Baals and Ashtoreths; but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies, and we will serve You.’”  1 Samuel 12:10

“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, ​​For in You do I trust; ​​Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, ​​For I lift up my soul to You. ​​Deliver me, O Yehovah, from my enemies; ​​In You I take shelter. ​​Teach me to do Your will, ​​For You are my God; ​​Your Spirit is good. ​​Lead me in the land of uprightness. ​​​REVIVE ME, O Yehovah, for Your name’s sake! ​​For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. ​​In Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; ​​For I am Your servant.”  Psalm 143:8-12

Revival means we have passed out and need CPR to revive us! That is our condition without Jesus. REVIVE ME, and REVIVE ISRAEL! That is our prayer today.

Massacre 1,200 = Get a State

What do you get when you massacre over a thousand people? A country! Perverse political pronouncements that defy reason are regularly coming out of the White House against Israel now. The most audacious yet is the Biden plan to reward Hamas and all Palestinian terrorists with a Palestinian state. This was never achieved through many peace negotiations, but Biden proposes a state be unilaterally recognized by the United States to “solve” the Gaza war which was started after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust! First, let’s review the history of “peace” deals.

The reason was ALWAYS their refusal to acknowledge the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state.

This proves once again that our battle is not human but spiritual wickedness in demonic realms. The plan to recognize this imaginary “state” is to do it within weeks. I am calling for a serious prayer attack against these demonic principalities until the idea of statehood is dropped. Yehovah God has a far superior “unilateral” plan. The whole land of Israel has been awarded to Israel by the decree of the living God!

After I sent out this post a clear statement was issued by Prime Minister Netanyahu:

Netanyahu in message to US: We reject international dictates on Palestinian state – “My position is summed up in the following two sentences: 1. Israel rejects outright international dictates regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians. Such a settlement will only be achieved through direct negotiations between the parties, without preconditions,” he added. “2. Israel will continue to oppose the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Such recognition following the October 7 massacre would give a huge unprecedented reward to terrorism and prevent any future peace settlement,” said the Prime Minister.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, protection for the troops, wisdom for the leaders, and for rain.

The Miracle Helmet

You don’t often see a modern miracle signed by the Messiah. Here is a great story of a soldier’s life saved by his helmet. Israel National News reported this miracle that happened today (Thursday 2-8-24) in Israel. A green circle shows where the bullet hit the helmet.  Click the link for the story.

Miracle in Samaria: Reservist shot in helmet survives attempted attack – An IDF reservist was shot in the helmet by a terrorist this morning. He escaped unharmed, and his comrades killed the attacker.

But there is more that is not mentioned in the article. If you look closely at the picture you can see a rectangular patch to the right of the green circle. It shows a crown and a Hebrew word. Do you know what the word is? It is “Messiah.” Wow! Talk about spelling it out for sceptics. The Messiah thought it would be fun to sign His miracle for the young soldier. Hallelujah!

Did this soldier have extra protection because he believed in the Messiah? I think we can go with that. There is a difference between rote religion and actual belief in God and His Messiah. Christian Zionists believe the Messiah is Yeshua, Jesus. I am not saying the soldier believed in Jesus, but he probably believes in the Messiah of Israel, who happens to be one and the same. Oh, how I pray for the final link to be made for Israelis. This Gaza war has softened the hearts of Jews and Arabs alike to call on the living God Yehovah. We pray that He will answer them with the revelation of our Savior and Messiah!

“For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.”  Isaiah 59:17

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;”  Ephesians 6:17

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua ha Mashiach), who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us”  Titus 2:11-14a

Expect to hear more and more testimonials to miracles of deliverance and salvation in the midst of this Gaza war. Even though the enemies of God are crazed with the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people, they will fail. Yehovah God is faithful, and He will deliver. Not only will Israel prosper, but many will come to the knowledge of the Messiah Yeshua. Pray for them! Satan loses; God wins!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, wisdom for the leaders, protection for the troops, and salvation for all who call on His name. Also, thank Him for the snow and rain that waters His land.

The 2005 Gaza Experiment Failure

Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005. No Jews and no Israeli military have lived there for 18 years! Hamas ruled Gaza, not to provide for Gazans, but to stage war against Israel. The Israeli withdrawal was a colossal failure. This means the Oslo Accords were a failure and the “two-state solution” was a failure. None of it works because the Palestinians don’t want a state along side Israel and they don’t want peace. They want Israel gone. They want the Jews gone. And when I say gone, I mean dead. They groom their children for death and war. This is an ancient demonic hatred of the Jews because Yehovah God Himself gave them the land over 3,000 years ago. I would like to quote from an excellent commentary by Ryan Jones, in Israel Today. You would be wise to read the entire article.

“Those who pushed withdrawal from Gaza promised that doing so would increase security, lower civilian and military casualties, and reduce international pressure on Israel. In every one of those cases they were wrong.”

  1. “By leaving Gaza, Israel created a power vacuum that was quickly filled by Hamas, resulting in the largest terrorist military base in the world sitting right on Israel’s southern border.”

  2. “Since 2005, that terrorist haven has launched thousands of rockets at Israel, killing and wounding many people, and necessitating a series of Gaza wars that have claimed the lives of hundreds of soldiers.” (not to mention 1,200 mostly civilians on October 7th)

  3. “Despite handing over a Jew-free Gaza Strip to the Palestinians, Israel has arguably come under increased international pressure in regards to the coastal enclave. The world still holds Israel responsible for the wellbeing of the people living there.”

“When there were Jewish settlements in Gaza, they suffered periodic terrorist attacks. Sometimes terrible attacks with many casualties. And the nation had its recourses stretched by the need to maintain a military presence in Gaza to protect these “settlers” as best as possible. But these problems only increased by leaving Gaza. And, of course, have now culminated in the mass atrocities of October 7, sparking Israel’s largest full-scale war since the invasion of Lebanon in the early 1980s.”  Israel Today

Remember God’s instructions to Joshua when they entered the land. He was instructed to remove the wicked inhabitants. Their wickedness caused the forfeiture of their land. “The Canaanites were in no way an innocent people as they stood before God and Israel. Were the Canaanites a peaceful, righteous, upright people? That is hardly the case. They practiced such things as child sacrifice, incest, adultery, temple prostitution, and various other horrible acts. When we read about God’s justice going forth against the Canaanites, it was because they had rejected God and his law. It was a willful rejection, a purposeful rejection.” Dr. John Currid

“But you shall utterly destroy them: the Hittite and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, just as Yehovah your God has commanded you, lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against Yehovah your God.”  Deuteronomy 20:17-18

“Do not think in your heart, after Yehovah your God has cast them out before you, saying, ‘Because of my righteousness Yehovah has brought me in to possess this land’; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that Yehovah is driving them out from before you. It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations that Yehovah your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which Yehovah swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”  Deuteronomy 9:4-5

God is faithful to keep His promises. He gave Israel the land because of His original promise to Abraham and He will keep them in the land today because of that same promise! It is not because Israel was faithful, but because God is faithful. He even provided salvation from our sins through Jesus, the Lamb of God. Mercy was available even for the Canaanites but they refused Him and chose their wicked ways. Let us all humble ourselves before God and receive His grace and mercy through Jesus, our Messiah.

24 IDF Soldiers Die in One Day

A tragic incident yesterday in Gaza led to 21 killed in a building collapse; while three others died in battle. It is a sad reminder to keep praying for the troops. Far away in America politics captures the headlines, but the war in Gaza goes on. God has promised to defend Israel from her enemies; but still we need to stand in the gap and pray. The enemy is relentless; but Yehovah is faithful.

24 IDF soldiers killed in deadliest day since start of Gaza combat – Twenty-one troops died in a building collapse, three others in battle. Around 4 p.m. terrorists fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a tank securing the forces. At the same time, two two-story buildings collapsed as a result of an explosion while most of the troops were inside or near them. The blast was apparently caused by explosives planted by the Israeli forces, intended to destroy the buildings in a controlled event.

One report explained that the two buildings would normally have been destroyed from the air. But Israel is conserving it missiles in case they are needed in Lebanon. We need to pray that Senator Schumer will release the funds that have already been voted for Israeli armament resupply from the U.S.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. ​​I will say of Yehovah, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; ​​My God, in Him I will trust.’ ​​Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. ​​He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; ​​​​His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:1-4

His truth shall be your shield! This is our promise from God. The demonic enemy is determined to “steal, kill, and destroy,” but God is faithful to keep us in His hand. We may lose a battle, but God wins the war according to His truth. This applies to Israel and nations, but He also gives that promise to us as individual believers.

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for Yehovah your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

Where Are the Bodies?

Israel is standing trial today for genocide in the International Court of Justice in the Netherlands. Hamas claims Israel has killed 20,000 Gazan civilians. The irony is breathtaking. The stated written goal of Hamas in their Charter is exactly the genocide of all Jews worldwide.

Where Are the Bodies? If you have been following Israel and Gaza, you know that Hamas is adept at producing many videos claiming various “crimes” of Israel. most of which were proven false. They like to stage videos, so much so that it is referred to as “Pallywood,” a play on Palestinian Hollywood. Several times they show a video of a “martyr” who gets off the stretcher and walks away or moves under the sheet. Now, add to that, the October 7th terrorists who wore GoPro cameras actually filming their own war crimes. If they have videos of everything that moves, where are the videos of 20,000 “innocent civilians” murdered by Israel? Where are the bodies? Don’t you think they would publicize such a massive genocide? Have innocent civilians died? Of course, but not as claimed. Israel is the most moral army in history. They actually announce the specific target, even the single building, so civilians have time to escape. The IDF does this with leaflets, cell phone calls, and media.

The irony is breathtaking. The stated written goal of Hamas in their Charter is exactly the genocide of all Jews worldwide. South Africa is making the charges on behalf of Hamas, which is also bitterly ironic, given their apartheid past. Hamas did indeed succeed in their October 7th genocide of 1,200 civilians in Israel. Their leaders have openly stated that it was just the first attack of many: “over and over again” until Israel is gone. Their evil is so shockingly deep that normal people just can’t believe they really mean it. However, it is not the first time we have seen such depraved commitment to pure evil. The Nazis come to mind, as well as Rwanda, and even currently in the slaughter of Nigerian Christians by Muslim jihadists. But the Biblical example is the best definition of this “beyond the pale” EVIL.

“Then Yehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”  Genesis 6:5

Notice the superlatives in this one verse. You could call it exponential evil. When the Holy Spirit inspires a description with such repetitive emphasis we should pay sober attention.

  1. Wickedness of man.
  2. Was great.
  3. Every intent.
  4. Was only evil.
  5. CONTINUALLY!

This is the proper description of the demonic spirit of Hamas. How can nations and yes, even college students in America, be so deceived? We are in a new season of prophetic timing and fulfillment. There will be ups and downs but we are in for rough times ahead.

“See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.”  Hebrews 12:25-29

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  Jesus, in John16:33

Pray for Jerusalem peace and abundant rain and snow for the land.

Hamas: Operation Al-Aqsa Flood

“Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” is what Hamas called their massacre of 1,200 Israeli civilians on October 7th. We are truly living in Biblical history in real time. It was the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust of World War II. You may not know that the lie of “defending Al-Aqsa” mosque on the Temple Mount actually was first used in the 1920s, leading to the massacre of 67 Jews in Hebron in 1929. Yet, the Al Aqsa mosque still stands even though it is completely under Israeli sovreignty since 1967. If Israel wanted to destroy it, they could. Notice the prophetic match of this verse:

“So shall they fear the name of Yehovah from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of Yehovah will lift up a standard against him.”  Isaiah 59:19

Do you think it is a coincidence that Hamas copied that terminology? Satan has no creative ability, he can only copy and pervert God’s plans. The good news is that God is always able to turn the evil around to Yehovah’s good purpose. Here is the classic example from Joseph in Egypt.

“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”  Genesis 50:20

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ​​Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; ​​though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah ​​There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. ​​God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; ​​God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. ​​The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; ​​He uttered His voice, the earth melted. Yehovah of hosts is with us; ​​The God of Jacob is our refuge.”  Psalm 46:1-7

Pray for hearts of Jews and Arabs alike to turn to the living God. Yehovah has the final say! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, wisdom for the leaders, and rain for the land!

War and Hanukkah

Dry Bones Hanukkah 2023

Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted the Bible when he said this is a time for war. The first three Gaza wars spared Hamas, but the fourth war triggered a divine prophecy in Amos 1:6 that Yehovah warned: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment.” Even as Israelis observe Hanukkah around the world, the troops are lighting the candles in Gaza. The October massacre was unspeakably evil, yet light shines in the darkness. This time Israel will eliminate the terror base that was Gaza. A new day is dawning for the innocent Gazans who are being liberated from the oppressive terror dictatorship.

Here is a partial quote from an excellent article by Charles Gardner in Israel Today.

Resisting the devil – How Hanukkah prepared the way for Israel’s Messiah. Rabbi Jonathan Cahn asks the question, “Who is the most famous person to attend the annual Festival of Hanukkah?” The answer, as too many perhaps don’t realize, is Yeshua. For in the Gospel of John, the apostle records: “Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.”  John 10:22-23

We are told there was conflict over his claims to be the Messiah, with some opponents even threatening to stone him. But his appearance there was significant.

The feast was inaugurated in 164 BC when the Maccabees finally defeated the much more powerful armies of the tyrannical Syrian-Greek emperor Antiochus Epiphanes IV who had tried to impose his pagan idolatry on the Jewish people. He had desecrated the Temple – even sacrificing a pig on the altar – but on December 25 that year (in the Gregorian calendar) God’s holy place was restored and cleansed, and it is said that the menorah burned miraculously for eight days despite having only enough oil for one.

So we remember that stunning military victory with a festival of light, symbolized by a special nine-branched candlestick, with a candle lit on each of eight days by the central Shammas (servant) candle. Jesus came both as the light of the world and as a Servant King, humbly becoming a man and God’s sacrificial Lamb.”  Israel Today

One week ago Hamas paraded the hostages in Gaza’s Palestine Square. Today the Square is conquered and under the control of Israeli forces. Many miracles are being reported already, with more to come. You may have heard about 200 Palestinian men in Gaza dreaming the same dream of Jesus the same night. Here is another great miracle of a young soldier attacked with a hand grenade that somehow got tangled in gear and flipped back at the attackers killing them all. The Israeli and his group only suffered minor injuries! Hallelujah!

Pray protection for the troops this Hanukkah, pray that many Israelis and Arabs will turn to the living God and His Messiah, pray for rain, and as always: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Mark Twain Israel Prophecy

The Gaza war casts a dark shadow over the land of Israel today, but we must insist that God views it differently. What does He see? How does today’s war move the arrow toward the promised purpose for the promised land? Consider the amazing prophecy about Mark Twain in the book of Deuteronomy.

“…so that the coming generation of your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, would say, when they see the plagues of that land and the sicknesses which Yehovah has laid on it: ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which Yehovah overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ All nations would say, ‘Why has Yehovah done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’”  Deuteronomy 29:22-24

Mark Twain (aka Samuel Clemens) visited Israel (then called Palestine) in September of 1867. The Hebrew meaning of the name “Samuel Clemens” is: “God has heard and has been merciful.” His remarkable description of the desolation of the land is recorded in his famous book, Innocents Abroad.

“Mark Twain, who visited the land of Israel in 1867 (referred to as Palestine at the time), described Israel as a “…desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds—a silent mournful expanse… We never saw a human being on the whole route… There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”  

“Half a century after Twain’s visit, the Balfour Declaration was issued in 1917. Fifty years later the Six Day War was won. And today, in 2017 – 50 years after that – Israel continues to flourish, moving in leaps and bounds away from Twain’s “sackcloth and ashes.”  Jerusalem Post

I conclude that Mark Twain’s visit in a Jubilee Year was the exact fulfillment of Deuteronomy 29. Seeing these events connected each 50 year cycle reveals the larger picture of Yehovah’s predetermined plan of restoration for Israel. He needed a witness to the whole world of the devastation so His miraculous healing of the land would shine in contrast. The glory of God can now be seen. Yes, there are terrible events such as the Gaza war along the path. But the greater glory is relentlessly unfolding as Yehovah keeps His word of the SET TIME of His favor and blessing. The Messiah Yeshua will only come in the restoration:

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.”  Acts 3:19-21

Pray for the peace and restoration of Jerusalem and abundant rains.

Never Again Uprooted

What part about “never again” do you not understand? This photo is quite interesting with Israeli troops in the foreground and the rainbow in the background. In the middle of the Gaza war there is the promise of peace and hope for a future because God is faithful to keep His word. What is the endgame for God? We know that Israel is set to completely eliminate the terror threat of Hamas. But what comes after? Yehovah God has the final say!

“I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,” says Yehovah your God.”  Amos 9:14-15 ESV

“Thus says Yehovah: “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest, Yehovah appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers. Again you shall plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant and shall enjoy the fruit.”  Jeremiah 31:2-5 ESV

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”  1 Thessalonians 5:24

This foundation of faithfulness supports all of God’s promises. It is not just words. It is His character. He is faithful! He not only says it, but He also will do it. Words are cheap, but our God keeps His word even to a thousand generations. Just read the rest of Jeremiah 31 (above). Israel will win this war and every future war because God made certain unconditional promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel which will absolutely be fulfilled to the last detail. Read His promises. Pray the Scriptures. All the demons of hell or Hamas cannot block even one single promise of the living God! Hallelujah!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray and thank Him for the present rains.

We Stand with Israel

Biblical Christians stand with Israel because we stand with God. He is performing a last days miracle right before our eyes. Satan means evil with the Hamas Gaza war, but God is using it to advance His plan for Israel. Even though the majority of Christian denominations believe God permanently rejected the Jews, they are wrong. The error of “replacement” theology has blinded many to the glorious restoration of Israel in our day.

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself ONE NEW MAN from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.”  Ephesians 2:14-18

ONE NEW MAN! Notice the flag logo attached to this article. The symbol on the left of a menorah, star of David, and a fish was found in a first century Israeli synagogue. This is a graphic picture of the  fundamental revelation of God’s ultimate plan for Israel and the world. The menorah represents the Jews and the fish was an early sign of Christians. The base of the menorah and the tail of the fish form the star of David. In the end it will not be Jews and Gentiles, because God is preparing a merger of the two. He calls it “one new man.”

Scripture is replete with verses about the miraculous return of the world wide scattered Jews to their own land. We have witnessed this as they got their land back, their Hebrew language back, their capital city Jerusalem back, as well as their people returning. In 1948 there were 600,000 Jews in Israel. Today there are 8,000,000, that is 8 million! The best part is that He is turning their hearts back to Him. They were shocked that the vaunted Israel Defense Forces (IDF) failed them on October 7th. They ultimately cannot save themselves, they need Yehovah God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.”  Ezekiel 36:24-28

GRAFTED IN! God did not create a new people when He opened the Gospel to the Gentiles. He took wild branches and grafted them into the tree of Israel. This “one new man” symbol is also called the “grafted in” symbol. Jesus is merging all of His followers into one people, Israel.

“And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.”  Romans 11:17-18

Pray for God’s purpose in the Gaza war. Pray for salvation for both Arabs and Jews. Pray for abundant rains in this rainy season. And pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Is God’s Wrath Good News?

A word about God’s wrath is quite timely with the Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians. We know that God is love and believers are to model His love. However, do you know there are some things God hates? It is a mistake to ignore His anger and hatred of evil. You know His opinion of idol worship, which included evil acts.

“You shall not worship Yehovah your God in that way; for every abomination to Yehovah which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.”   Deuteronomy 12:31

This sounds a lot like the abomination of Hamas on October 7. Hamas terrorists: We were told “whoever brings a hostage gets $10,000. and an apartment.” Jerusalem Post

So, how is the wrath of God good news? Consider this foundational concept found in Romans. Apostle Paul is clearly embracing the Gospel, also translated “good news” and “glad tidings.” Many fail, however, to connect the two aspects of this “good news.” It is certainly good news for salvation, although it is limited to those who believe. But Paul continues to explain the other half of the good news. God intends to ultimately deal with the problem of evil. It will end. Two things are revealed in this good news.

  1. “For in it (the Gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed.”
  2. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness”

Unfortunately, many translations insert a break between these two thoughts. Now read these in context and see if you get my point. This is not at all about human payback or revenge. It is about Divine judgement. In the end evil is defeated by God Himself. Finally, even death itself is defeated. Hallelujah!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,”  Romans 1:16-18

God has many ways to dispense His wrath. Sometimes He uses man or nations. They may be either righteous or not, but either way God punishes the wicked. We pray for Yehovah’s righteous judgement in the present Gaza war. We pray for God’s wisdom and direction for Israel’s leaders, and courage to obey His commands.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and rain in the exact timing of God’s purposes.

No More Strength to Weep

Gaza invaded Israel to execute and assassinate ordinary civilians. Their purpose was not military. They intentionally murdered, raped, and beheaded elderly, women, children, and even babies. You know the news, but do you have the Biblical context and parallels? Consider the story of David before he became king. 

“And when David and his men came to the city, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep.” 1 Samuel 30:3-4 ESV

I see a parallel between David and Bibi Netanyahu. Bibi’s detractors accuse him of being king, but I believe he is God’s man of this hour for Israel. Captives were taken and pursued in both cases. Already, there are those who blame Bibi for the evil invasion of Hamas from Gaza into Israel. My prayer is that Bibi will do what David did. Pray that Bibi Netanyahu is seeking counsel from the living God regarding Gaza and the captives. 

“And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in Yehovah his God. — And David inquired of Yehovah, “Shall I pursue after this band? Shall I overtake them?” He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue.”  1 Samuel 30:6 & 8 ESV

“For Gaza Shall Be Forsaken.” There is another parallel with ancient and modern Gaza. The Bible clearly says that Gaza will belong to Israel. Her judgement is prophesied in Zephaniah. Gaza today is a spiritual remnant of the Canaanite demonic principality. You need to understand that the word “Cherethites” literally means “executioners” or “assassins.” That demonic spirit clearly motivates the Hamas invaders today.

“Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! ​​The word of Yehovah is against you, ​​O Canaan, land of the Philistines: ​​“I will destroy you; ​​So there shall be no inhabitant.” ​​The seacoast shall be pastures, with shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. ​​The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed their flocks there; in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. ​​For Yehovah their God will intervene for them, and return their captives.”  Zephaniah 2:5-7

Zephaniah 2 starts with three mentions of the anger or wrath of God. I have often proposed a response to the New Age bumper sticker: “Visualize World Peace.” My alternative bumper sticker is: “Visualize the Wrath of God!” This is not a mean spirited or fleshly idea, but rather the real order of things. Before we will see true world peace, we will see the judgment of God against violence and evil. Israel will only know true peace when they recognize that Jesus (Yeshua Sar Shalom) is the real prince of peace. This is also true for the Arabs/Palestinians. We all need Jesus! Pray that this horrible Hamas massacre will turn the hearts of the people to Yehovah, God of Salvation and to His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah the Savior.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for rain, both natural rain and the rain of the Holy Spirit.

Today’s Gaza Attack in the Bible

Israel at war: At least 300 killed, dozens kidnapped, over 1,500 injured – Over 3,000 rockets fired towards Israel; Hamas kidnaps dozens of hostages in Be’eri and Ofakim. (Update Sunday: over 600 killed!)

This is a Saturday evening report, Eastern Time. You have probably heard of the terror invasion of Israel from Gaza, but there is a relevant Scripture that I want you to consider and pray over from the prophet Amos.

“Thus says Yehovah: 
​​“For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, ​​I will not turn away its punishment, because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. ​​But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.”  Amos 1:6-7
I see four distinct aspects in this prophecy.
1. “I will not turn away its punishment.” (after the fourth transgression.) There have been four Gaza wars since the ill-advised withdrawal of Israeli rule (for Peace!) in 2005. The above text may indicate that this new attack will involve the destruction of Gaza as a walled-off separate entity.
2. “took captive the whole captivity.” A unique feature today is the taking of many captive hostages (over a hundred?)
3. “But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza,” This speaks of the destruction of Hamas and possible re-introduction of Israeli rule, thus needing no wall.
4. “​​which shall devour its palaces.” This speaks not only of the defeat of Hamas rule, but specifically eliminating Hamas leaders. The only people in Gaza with palaces are the evil terrorist leaders.
You may recall that the very name “Hamas” chosen by the terrorists themselves, comes directly from the Hebrew language and the Hebrew Bible and is translated “violence”. It is an Arabic acronym forming the Hebrew and English word Hamas which means : VIOLENCE! as a means of invoking terror by simply saying their name. The Hebrew word hamas is found in such passages as this from the days of Noah:
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.”  Genesis 6:11-12
The heinous machine gun slaughter of civilians on the streets of Israel, including women and children, is the same demonic spirit of violence (hamas). There is nothing new; this is the battle of the ages. The ancient principalities are still trying to overthrow the Kingdom of God and His salvation for sinful man. But we have read the end of the Book and we win. Israel wins. Because Yehovah God and the Messiah Yeshua are alive to keep every promise. Not one promise of God will fail. Satan has been stripped of his authority. Jesus has all authority!
Therefore we pray that God will finish the work in Gaza. We have reached the “four war limit” prophesied by Amos over 2,700 ears ago. Let’s agree together that this will be the last war with Gaza!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for sweet abundant rains in Israel this year.

Having just returned from Israel with 35 happy travelers from six states, plus two from Kenya, I am excited to release the details of our next tour, June 17-27, 2024. Your life changes forever after witnessing with your own eyes the promises of God fulfilled in Jesus, the Messiah Yeshua as we walk His glorious land.

For as a young man marries a virgin, ​​So shall your sons marry you; ​​And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, ​​So shall your God rejoice over you. ​​I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; ​​They shall never hold their peace day or night. ​​You who make mention of Yehovah, do not keep silent, ​​And give Him no rest till He establishes ​​And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”  Isaiah 62:1-7

Back from Israel – Wow!

Israel Camel ride 9-23

Glory to God in the highest! The camel ride was a bonus. Seven camels, times two riders, times two trips. Everyone (28 chose to ride) of our group of 35 was able to ride a camel for about ten minutes. The experience at Genesis Land in the Judean desert was amazing. We had lunch with “Abraham” in his tent with his epic hospitality spiced with humor and information. And the meal was one of the best on our tour!

We were so blessed to be joined my Michael and Serah Masambu from Kenya. Twenty-nine were seeing the glorious land for the first time. Each day we experienced two or three spiritual highlights. It will take a while to process the deep moving of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. We will never be the same. Thank you Jesus!

One of the most exhilarating moments was the boat ride on the sea of Galilee. We sang and prayed and worshipped and celebrated connecting to our spiritual roots. I do not have words to express the glory of Yehovah revealed to us at every stop along the way. I can’t wait to return next June with another group.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “that it shall no more be said, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.”  Jeremiah 16:14-15

“Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.”  Jeremiah 32:37-41

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and seasonal rains. We saw the first shower of the rainy season!
