Why Not Fear?

3 11 2023

Fear-Quotes-30

Fear is actually a demonic spirit, a living thing. It is not simply being startled. The spirit of fear serves the devil by paralyzing people and driving them to run and hide, or worse to spread panic and unbelief to others. This is not from God. The media is a strong purveyor of this fear. You may know the saying: “If it bleeds, it leads.” Media needs sensational headlines (clickbait). Just as Gideon fought the Midianites in his day, we now must overcome the “Media-ites.”

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”  2 Timothy 1:6-7

So, overcoming fear requires functional faith in God. We are believers not only because of a Biblical worldview, but because we know that God is higher and more powerful than any fear. One of my favorite examples of this concept is revealed in the days of the prophet Elisha. (This is why we call our ministry, Elisha Vision.)

“And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do? ”So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Yehovah, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then Yehovah opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”  2 Kings 6:15-17

Two Keys are in these verses. First, remember that God always has more than the enemy. Second, God will open our eyes to see His glorious array of angel armies that are on our side. Therefore pray that He will open your eyes! The Holy Spirit gives us sight into God’s dimension. You don’t need to be blinded by fear. More are they that are with us. See the victory of Yehovah God’s deliverance through His Messiah Yeshua!

ISRAEL UPDATE – Today Hezbollah has backed down from their threats to join Hamas and the Gaza war. Yesterday the media was all about World War III. Today its: “Never mind.” God is restoring Israel and defeating the Hamas threat. Eventually, He will also eliminate the Hezbollah threat in His timing. Evidently that timing is not now. Praise God and the Heavenly Armies in Jesus’ name!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and physical rain, along with the rain of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 83 War, with a Twist

1 09 2020

Drybones cartoon,ElAl,UAE,peace, 2020,

For several years I expected a war to end the conflict described in Psalm 83 which started with the invasion against Israel in 1948 by the Arab Legion. The confederacy formed of modern Arab nations are exactly the nations listed in the Psalm by their ancient names.

However, it now appears that it may not end with a war, but with the recognition of Israel and peace between Jews and Arabs. That is quite a twist. This direction is provoked by the threat of Iran (which is Persian and not Arab) and their proxies against the Arab states. The recent agreement between Israel and the UAE  (United Arab Emirates) is a fresh indication. Other Arab states may soon join in the fun.

Gog and Magog? Do not look for Ezekiel 38 anytime soon. Israel must be living in such secure peace that they tear down all walls they have built as separation from the Arabs in recent years. Thus, the season of peace before the Gog and Magog war.

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. — You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’ Ezekiel 38:8 & 11

Notice the bolded words above which unequivocally describe conditions that simply do not exist today in Israel. Therefore, the next prophetic event is not war with Iran, but an extraordinary (and surprising) peace.

For several years I have said that Iran must diminish; and we are now seeing it happen. Expect more examples of this to come soon. Even Hezbollah and Hamas will fade, as hard as that is to imagine. This is God’s work, using Donald Trump and Bibi Netanyahu.

The recent explosion in Beirut exposed Hezbollah’s evil plots and is the beginning of the end of Hezbollah. They have been denied much of their support from Iran because of Iran’s financial collapse from the U.S. sanctions and other internal problems. Recently, with great bravado, the head of Hezbollah threatened to kill an Israeli soldier for each of his lost fighters. But the next day Israel bombed Damascus killing Hezbollah members, calling their bluff. They do not want a war right now in their time of weakness and turmoil in Lebanon.

Five Iranian-backed militia killed in Syria in alleged Israeli air strike Hizballah has threatened to kill an Israeli soldier for every fighter who loses his life in an IDF attack in Syria, but so far missed its aim in three attempts.

So, we watch and pray. Yehovah, God of angel armies, is not deterred by any geo-political events. God said the land is given to Israel, all of it. Nothing will prevent the exact fulfillment of His promise, in which He raised His hand in an oath.

Therefore thus says the Lord Yehovah: “I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. Ezekiel 36:7-8

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

The “Man in the Bunker”

2 09 2019

nasrallah-bibi

After attacking an Israeli position over the weekend, Hezbollah leader Nasrallah, bragged about Israeli casualties. However, Netanyahu announced their were none, “not even a scratch.” But, my favorite quote from Prime Minister Netanyahu was his firm declaration of Israel’s intent to take action against anything that threatened it.

In a short video, Netanyahu warned Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah that Israel had “operated with determination and responsibility. We protected the safety of our citizens and the lives of our soldiers. The man in the bunker in Beirut knows exactly why he’s in a bunker. Israel Hayom

Netanyahu was referring to the fact that Hezbollah’s leader does indeed live in a bunker for fear of his life over several years. Although he denies it, the fact is well documented:

LIFE IN THE BUNKERHezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has been living underground for almost five years now, in hideouts that are little known. A fugitive who fears for his life and is committed to his Iranian patrons, he stays deep inside the soil that he claims to have liberated from the Israelis. Nobody knows his whereabouts with the exception of a small group of bodyguards. Ynetnews

Dry Bones Nasrallah Hidey Hole

This is not surprising for Bible students. Yehovah God has that effect on His enemies. He has promised to defend Israel and one way is to put the terror and fear of Yehovah in their hearts and minds.

They shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of Yehovah and the glory of His majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily. Isaiah 2:19

There they are in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous. Psalm 14:5

Put them in fear, O Yehovah, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah Psalm 9:20

I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. Exodus 23:27

Hallelujah to the living God Yehovah and His Messiah Yeshua! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for latter rain.

Israel Attacks Hezbollah in Syria

20 01 2015

While You were Watching Football

Israel Attacks Hezbollah in Syria .

While America was watching football last Sunday, Israel hit two vehicles on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights in northern Israel. The implication could be grave for the Middle East. It could be the spark that detonates the Psalm 83 War. But there are four aspects to this event of particular interest.

1. First, Hezbollah claims they are not in the Golan Heights at all. Yet, one of their top commanders died, along with several members. You have heard little, if any, news of this attack on Western media because of football and the US President’s State of the Union speech calling for taxes on the rich to create more entitlement program giveaways.

2. Second, a very senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard General was also killed with several of his men. What were they doing on the Israeli border? Some reports suggest they were working on a missile launch site. A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside a strike on Hezbollah

3. Third, “An Israeli security official said on Tuesday that an alleged Israeli helicopter missile strike on the Syrian side of the Golan earlier this week that killed a top Iranian general was aimed at what was believed to be a caravan of low-ranking Hezbollah fighters.” Why would Israel say that? They are trying to defuse the inevitable response from Hezbollah and Iran.

4. Fourth, the plot thickens: Amid Rising Tensions, IDF Closes Roads Along Lebanon Border : “Tanks join Iron Dome batteries along Israel’s northern border, following airstrike which killed senior Hezbollah, Iranian commanders.” The threat is so serious that the IDF has closed roads, sent Iron Dome (defensive missile) batteries along with IDF tanks. Time to PRAY!

But do not fear, O My servant Jacob, and do not be dismayed, O Israel! For behold, I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity; Jacob shall return, have rest and be at ease; No one shall make him afraid. Jeremiah 46:27

Israeli Air Raid

Monday night Israel’s Air Force attacked a Hezbollah base in Lebanon on the Syrian border in two waves, killing a number of Hezbollah terrorists. The target was Syrian missiles smuggled over the border to Lebanon’s Bekka Valley.

Israel bombarded a Hezbollah stronghold on the Lebanon Syria border twice on Monday night, killing several Hezbollah operatives, Lebanese and other Arab media reported. Times of Israel

As usual, Israel neither confirmed or denied the reports. However, the facts are appearing in a wide variety of news outlets in the Middle East. It seems as though the world has been on “pause” during the Olympics from the American perspective. But, unfortunately, the contrary is the case. Ukraine is on fire. Venezuela is on fire. Syria is exploding, and Iran is steadily advancing toward nuclear weapons. Saudi Arabia is even trying to buy black market nukes from Pakistan to defend themselves from Iran. Egypt’s interim government resigned today clearing the way for General al-Sissi to win the coming Presidential election in a landslide.

Believers know that Yehovah God is in control and is actually arranging the stage for the Second Coming of His Son, Yeshua (Jesus). We do not fear. His promises are sure.

“Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure. Daniel 2:45

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. Romans 4:16

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
