Every time you pray the Lord’s Prayer you are praying for the regathering of the Jewish exiles from all the countries of the world. The first line implores our heavenly Father to “hallow” or “sanctify” His name. There is only one Bible passage that explains how this can be done.
It has long been understood from the Scriptures that Christian support for Jewish Aliyah (immigration to Israel) is expected, but in the opinion of esteemed theologian Dr Fred Wright, it is absolutely fundamental.
Dr Wright points out that there is only one portion of Scripture that explains how the Lord’s name may be sanctified, and it is found in a passage from Ezekiel chapter 36 (beginning at verse 16) that, in the Hebrew Bible, is headed Kidush ha Shem (The Sanctification of God’s Holy Name).
Jewish exile is a consequence of their rebellion against God whose holy name is constantly profaned while they remain in foreign lands, “for it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land’.” (v20)
So it is out of concern for his holy name, which they have profaned (a word used five times in this short passage) by their exile, that the Lord will bring them back (vv24-26). Israel Today 11-3-19
My book, Speak To the Dirt! explains in detail that Israel’s exile was judgement that contradicted God’s promise to the land and people of Israel. Only their return to the land will hallow or sanctify His name according to Ezekiel. The nations shall know His name at that time. Also remember that His name is not “LORD” but is Yehovah!
And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am Yehovah,” says the Lord Yehovah, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Ezekiel 36:23-24
As Israel celebrates Aliyah Day, 2019 figures point to a peak year – According to official statistics, 28,629 olim arrived in Israel between January and October 2019. Only a decade ago, the number of olim for roughly the same period stood at 17,179. Israel Hayom
Personal note: We are back from New England after seven meetings and wonderful fellowship and hospitality. Thank you Jim & Donna Weeden and Henry & Sherry Snyder (& Ava) for your kindness and love. Thanks also to all who prayed for us. The Holy Spirit confirmed the message in every heart. In just three weeks Doreen and I (and Patrick Kennedy) will be in Kenya with Michael Masambu’s 3,000 future leaders of Kenya and also 200 pastors in separate meetings. Please continue to pray for us.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain in this rainy season.

2020 Zionist Story – Kissing the Ground!
4 12 2020The mother descending from the plane “kisses the ground and carries a baby named Yerushalayim, and another baby named Esther. Esther and Yerushalayim, come to Jerusalem – this is the essence of the Jewish story, this is the essence of the Zionist story,” – Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomes Ethiopian Jews to Israel as newest Israeli citizens. Israel Today
Operation Tsur Israel: First 316 Ethiopian Jews Arrive Home – By February 2021, over 2,000 members of the Falash Mura are expected in Israel. Defense Minister Benny Gantz stated that “we are realizing the Zionist vision in its purest sense – Kibbutz Galuyot [the reconvening of the diaspora]. You, who stand at the gates of this country, carry on your backs a wonderful tradition of thousands of years,”
Kissing the ground, hundreds of Ethiopian immigrants welcomed to Israel – Ethiopia-born Absorption Minister Pnina Tamano-Shato arrives with flight, greeted with fanfare at airport, as plan to bring 2,000 kicks off, with thousands more still waiting. Waving Israeli flags as they came down the steps of the aircraft, over 300 members of Ethiopia’s Jewish community arrived in Israel on Thursday in a special airlift from Gondar. These Ethiopian Israelis believe they are from the tribe of Dan. Also, there are immigrants from India from the lost tribe of Mannaseh, and immigrants from Nigeria who believe they are descendants of Ephraim.
God is certainly regathering His people from the far corners of the world. Hallelujah! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain in Israel.

(Why do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the explanation in my book: The Hebrew God Who Has No Name.) and here is a link to a great visual from my friend Keith Johnson.
