Astounding Love

Hate Nazis, hate white supremacists, hate Jews, hate Muslims, hate alt-right, hate alt-left, hate Antifa, hate communists, hate police, hate media, and hate Trump. Exactly how many people from either side in Charlottesville last week were motivated by the love of Jesus? The number one attribute of Yehovah God is love. His love for the whole world is astounding. More hatred is directed at God than at any human being. Yet He loves us.

There is a new method for reaching Muslims for Jesus. A friend who has spent time on the ground in Europe among the refugees has shared an amazing fact. The best way to share Jesus is to use a smart phone. Find out their language and bring up 1 Corinthians 13 in their language. That type of love is unknown in their religion and personal experience. One man began reading and weeping as he said he had never heard of such love. He accepted Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God and was baptized. This is being repeated over and over. Praise God!

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. So, what do we see in the riots and terrorism? Is it love? Of course not, it is simply what the Bible calls the deeds of the flesh.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:19-25

In addition, we know that satan is adding fuel to the fire with his demonic minions and principalities. It is more important than ever that we do not go there. Don’t give your soul to the wars of men. Stand for righteousness. Stand for Jesus and His love. Be led by the Holy Spirit in everything you say and everything you do. Speak up, and stand up in the supernatural love of Yehovah.

What If they gave a RIOT and Nobody Came?

DIFFERENT DAYS

I have the solution to the regular riots that are “breaking out” in our cities, thanks to big money paying the demonstrators. Why not issue permits for legal demonstrations, and schedule the counter demonstrations on different days?

Does free speech and freedom of assembly guarantee freedom of counter demonstrators to harass, threaten, intimidate and block the permitted free assembly? Police should defend the demonstrators who have a legal permit and block the counter demonstrators who have no permit.

It seems so intuitively obvious that I am amazed that no one has been talking about this. The police should protect the right of peaceful assembly. Police should prohibit the counter demonstration from occurring at the same time and place. Protect one group one day and then protect the opposite group the next day. So simple.

The First Amendment states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”Library of Congress

It seems to me that peaceful assembly is being abridged by counter demonstrations that are violating the law. That is where the emphasis should be placed. That is the real responsibility of government and police.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.Romans 13:1-3

Not Fake News – NPR

This is hard to believe, but I am not making this up. It comes from National Public Radio News. The city of Boston and other cities think Islamophobia is such a problem that they are using tax payer money to put up posters around Boston to “educate” citizens how to handle Islamophobia.

The city of Boston is launching a poster campaign to fight Islamophobia by encouraging bystanders to intervene, in a nonconfrontational way, if they witness anti-Muslim harassment. Starting Monday, the city began installing 50 posters around the city with advice on what to do if you see Islamophobic behavior. The posters recommend sitting by a victim of harassment and talking with them about a neutral subject while ignoring the harasser.NPR

Have you ever seen posters helping to diffuse anti Jew hatred? A Jew is six times more likely to be attacked than a Muslim. That is an official FBI statistic over a ten-year period.

Even the term is bogus. It means “fear of Islam.” Christians have no fear of Islam. Even if they do succeed in killing us, we know we will be raised from the dead and live eternally with Jesus. We fear the living God. It is He who forgives and is abundant in mercy.

King Abdullah Demands ’67 Borders

Yesterday King Abdullah of Jordan upped the ante as a result of the recent Temple Mount riots. He met Monday with Palestinian Authority President Abbas in Ramallah (only 11 miles north of Jerusalem). They agreed on new demands of the US regarding the failed “two state” idea that gives the Palestinians a new state in Biblical Judea and Samaria which the world calls the “West Bank.”

They are demanding this state on the pre-1967 Six Day War borders. They also demand a complete freeze in Jews building homes including eastern Jerusalem. Every Palestinian offer always includes pre-conditions which are always a non-starter. Israel cannot cede negotiable points before even convening; because then Abbas simply demands more concessions.

My opinion is that Israel should only agree to the post-1967 borders. I wrote about it in two previous blogs with maps. Click on each title.

Tisha B’Av – Destruction of the Temples

Israel Police and Border Police are being deployed in large numbers in the Old City of Jerusalem to protect worshipers at the Western Wall for the fast of Tisha B’Av, which began tonight (Monday).

The fast, which takes place annually on the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av, commemorates the destruction of the two Holy Temples by the Babylonian and Roman empires in 586 BCE and 70 CE, respectively. Religious Jews read the Book of Lamentations written by the Prophet Jeremiah who lived through the First Temple destruction. INN

There are five major calamities that overtook the Jewish people that are remembered on the 9th of Av:

1 The Twelve Spies sent by Moses to observe the land of Canaan returned from their mission. Only two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, brought a positive report, while the others spoke disparagingly about the land. The majority report caused the Children of Israel to cry, panic and despair of ever entering the “Promised Land”. For this, they were punished by the God of Israel so that none of their generation would enter the land of Israel. (See Numbers 13-14)

2 The First Temple built by King Solomon, King over the Kingdom of Judah, destroyed by the Babylonians led by Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BCE, after a two-year siege the Israelites were sent into the Babylonian exile for 70 years.

3 The Second Temple built by Ezra and Nehemiah was destroyed by the Romans in August 70 CE, scattering the people of Judea and commencing the Jewish exile from the Holy Land.

4 The Romans subsequently crushed the final revolt by the Jewish people called the Bar Kokhba’s revolt. The Romans destroyed the city of Betar, killing over 500,000 Jewish civilians on August 4, 135 CE, the 9th of Av.

5 Following the Bar Kokhba revolt, Roman commander Turnus Rufus plowed under the entire site of the Temple in Jerusalem and the surrounding area, in 135 CE.

Other calamities associated with Tisha B’Av: dates given according to the Gregorian Calendar
• The First Crusade officially commenced on August 15, 1096, killing 10,000 Jews in its first month and destroying Jewish communities in France and the Rhineland.
• The Jews were expelled from England on July 18, 1290.
• The Jews were expelled from France on July 22, 1306 .
• The Jews were expelled from Spain on July 31, 1492.
• Germany entered World War I on August 1–2, 1914, which caused massive upheaval in European Jewry and whose aftermath led to the Holocaust.
• On August 2, 1941, SS commander Heinrich Himmler formally received approval from the Nazi Party for “The Final Solution.” As a result, the Holocaust began during which almost one-third of the world’s Jewish population six million men, women, and children, perished.
• On July 23, 1942, began the mass deportation of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka.
• Most religious communities use Tisha B’Av to mourn the 6,000,000 Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

On the 10th of Av the following events took place:
• AMIA bombing of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, killing 85 and injuring 300 on 18 July 1994.
• The Israeli disengagement from Gaza, initially scheduled to start on the the 9th Av was delayed a day to start instead on the 10th Av, 15 August 2005, expelling 8000 Jews who lived in Gush Katif. (The above list is from: July 30, 2017 by TRUMPET-ER)

MURDEROUS PALESTINIAN MATH: Palestinian terrorist, Omar al-Abed murdered three Jews on Friday night 21 July 2017. This means he will almost certainly be sentenced to more than 30 years in prison. According to the Palestinian Authority compensation law, this entitles him to $3,364 each month, four times what the average Palestinian earns. That’s $40,368 a year, or $1,211,040 for 30 years. Imagine there was a government-sponsored program in America that paid you a million bucks every time you murdered members of another ethnic group. In 2016, 11% of the PA’s budget – $500 million – came from the USA. (Tablet) Pray that Palestinian aid allocations from the USA and Europe will be drastically cut until this abominable practice is ended.

NETANYAHU SAYS KILLER OF THREE FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD BE EXECUTED: PM Netanyahu this week paid a visit to the Salomon family who lost three family members in a brutal terrorist attack on Friday 21 July 2017, in their home in Halamish and told them he believed the killer deserves to be executed. “It is time to implement the death penalty for terrorists,” Netanyahu said to the family. “It is already in the law-book, requiring a unanimous decision by the judges. My position as prime minister is that in this case, with such a loathsome killer, he needs to be executed. Simple. So that he doesn’t smile anymore.” Netanyahu was referring to the testimony of Tova Salomon who said the terrorist Omar al-Abed smiled before he started stabbing her and family members.(J.Post)

Metal Detectors and World War III

Muslims are literally threatening to blow up the Middle East over metal detectors at the Temple Mount. It started when three terrorists smuggled a sub-machine gun and other weapons onto the Temple Mount. The next day they retrieved them and proceeded to murder two Israeli policemen. The terrorists were killed in the ensuing gun battle with other Israeli police. After all this Israel installed metal detectors to prevent future arms entering the Holy mountain site.

Muslims rioted, demanding the return to the “status quo” before metal detectors. What is missed here is that the metal detectors did not change the status quo. Smuggling arms onto the site was the change. Israel simply wanted to add a layer of security. You cannot enter a mall in Israel without going through a metal detector. This is also true, of course, at the airport, concerts and even the Western Wall plaza. Furthermore, this is especially true at the most revered site in Islam, Mecca.

SAUDIS MAKE MECCA PILGRIMS WEAR ELECTRONIC BRACELETS: In Mecca, Saudi Arabia, there are 5,000 closed-circuit television cameras overseen by a British company, G4S. As a security measure, an electronic bracelet is attached to each of the millions of pilgrims throughout their entire stay in the kingdom, allowing the authorities to monitor them. (Ynet) There are metal detectors also at the Vatican, at Jerusalem’s Western Wall, Westminster and hundreds of other vulnerable sites across the globe. Only Israel is singled out as not being able to protect itself against terrorist murders with preventative security devices. Palestinian leaders in every walk of life continue to condone, teach, honor and promote violence against the Jewish State and then bitterly protest when Israel takes up self-defense measures. Meanwhile, one response to the metal detectors in Jerusalem was a terrorist attack in central Israel. A 19-year-old Muslim man murdered three Jews at their Friday night family Shabbat meal. He did it to “defend Al Aksa” (a Muslim name for the Temple Mount). He survived and now qualifies for a $3,000 monthly “martyrs” payment from the Palestinian Authority. That PA fund pays out 300 million dollars annually to terrorists in Israeli prisons and their families. Support the Taylor Force Act in Congress.

The monthly salary of approximately $3,000 that the Palestinian Authority will pay to terrorist Omar al-Abed could be a powerful spur to a pending US legislative bill that would slash aid to the PA over its “martyr payments” policy, a leading Middle East expert told The Algemeiner on Tuesday.

“This is definitely going to put wind in the sails of the Taylor Force Act,” said Jonathan Schanzer, an expert on Palestinian politics at the Washington, DC-based Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD) think tank.

Named in memory of former US Army officer Taylor Force, who was murdered in a Palestinian terrorist attack in Tel Aviv in March 2016, the act, if passed, will place severe restrictions on American aid money to the PA until it ends both incitement to terrorism and the “martyr payments” policy. prophecynewswatch

Pakistani council orders “revenge rape” of 16-year-old girl ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – Pakistani police have arrested 25 members of an informal village council accused of ordering the rape of a 16-year-old girl as revenge for her brother’s alleged sexual assault of another girl.

‘Annihilate Jews, liberate Al-Aqsa from their filth’

My shocking title quote is consistent with the Friday preachers and imams at Al Aksa mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. However, this imam is an American preacher at a mosque in northern California. His name is Ammar Shahin aka Shaykh Ammar Shaheen. The link on the picture connects him to faculty/staff of Islamic University of Minnesota. This is from his sermon from last week at his Islamic Center in Davis, California:

In it he cited a hadith, according to which the Muslims would fight the Jews on Judgment Day, and prayed to Allah to “liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the filth of the Jews” and to “annihilate them down to the very last one,” not sparing any of them. “Oh Allah, make this happen by our hands. Let us play a part in this,” he prayed in the sermon, which was posted on the Davis Masjid YouTube channel. His sermon is in the context of a new level of terrorism in Israel that started with three terrorists smuggling weapons onto the Temple Mount (including a sub machine gun) which were used to murder two Israeli policemen who were standing guard at a Muslim entrance to the Mount. Those murdered were actually Druse men, not Jews. Other police chased the three terrorists back onto the Temple Mount where they were all three killed in a firefight. As a result, Israel closed all access for two days to search for any additional weapons. The last time access was closed was in 1969. It was re-opened in 48 hours. New metal detectors were installed which Muslims used as a pretext to start daily riots in which several Palestinians and Israelis died.

This past Friday a terrorist climbed a wall into an Israeli village in the West Bank and murdered three family members celebrating the birth of a new grandchild over Shabbat dinner. The terrorist’s father said he had to do it because of the metal detectors. His mother said she was proud of him.

Pence: Embassy Move Not If, but When

Five to seven thousand Christians met in Washington this week at the Christians United for Israel Summit, led by Pastor John Hagee of San Antonio, Texas. Our Vice President was the keynote speaker. Doreen and I have been members for several years and have attended three previous summits. This year we missed it because of our trip to Israel. But the impact of a Christian Zionist group of over three million members is considerable.

Lines are being drawn all over the political and religious landscape. Even Senator Chuck Schumer, the Senate opposition leader has declared that anti-Zionism is the new anti-Semitism.

As the Senator said in the above short video, this is not a Republican or Democrat issue. Here is the Israel Pledge as offered by CUFI:

We believe that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel, and that the modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of this historic right.

We maintain that there is no excuse for acts of terrorism against Israel and that Israel has the same right as every other nation to defend her citizens from such violent attacks.

We pledge to stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel and to speak out on their behalf whenever and wherever necessary until the attacks stop and they are finally living in peace and security with their neighbors.

Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves. Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it. What We Are Up Against

What are we facing from the global terrorist threat? It is more than an ideology. We are face to face with demonic evil. Israel has been dealing with it for decades. Here is an example from just last week (July 6,2017). Official Palestinian Authority TV praised a man responsible for murdering 22 school children and four adult hostages in a 1974 terrorist attack in Israel. They make monuments and name streets after these so-called “martyrs” and “freedom fighters”. This video is not from 1974, it is from last week!

Isaiah saw this evil in Jerusalem before the Babylonian captivity. It is not unique to the Palestinians or the Jews of Isaiah’s day. It is the un-redeemed nature of sinful man under the influence of Satan, the devil, who comes only to “steal, kill and destroy” (in the words of Jesus in John 10:10). Yet, even as Isaiah describes the evil murderous heart of sin, he begins with God’s ability to save us.

Listen! Yehovah’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. Your hands are the hands of murderers, and your fingers are filthy with sin. Your lips are full of lies, and your mouth spews corruption. No one cares about being fair and honest. The people’s lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin. They hatch deadly snakes and weave spiders’ webs. Whoever falls into their webs will die, and there’s danger even in getting near them. Their webs can’t be made into clothing, and nothing they do is productive. All their activity is filled with sin, and violence is their trademark. Their feet run to do evil, and they rush to commit murder. They think only about sinning. Misery and destruction always follow them. Talking Trees

One highlight of our recent trip to Jerusalem was a 30 minute conversation with my favorite Israeli cartoonist, Yaachov Kirschen and his wife, Sali. She is also known as the LSW, long-suffering wife. It was a delightful conversation where we discussed how much we have in common in our Zionism. He as an Israeli returned to the Land and me as a voice of Christian Zionists.

A main topic of our talk was his book: Trees: The Green Testament.

“TREES, the Green Testament” draws a cartoon explanation of the basic world view of Judeo Christian civilization and celebrates our shared fundamental belief system. It is the Bible, Zionism, and world history, from the viewpoint of the TREES of the land of Israel! From the Garden of Eden to the End Time promise of mankind beating his swords into plowshares. From the Burning Bush on Mount Sinai to the planting of thousands of trees in the modern, reborn State of Israel.”

The best part of our 50th Anniversary trip was being submerged in the city and its people, celebrating Jerusalem’s 50th Anniversary of its Liberation during the Six Day War. In the end it is not about politics, it is about the faithful God of Israel restoring the Jewish people to their land, their language, their city and their God. His faithful promises of restoration are being precisely fulfilled to the tiniest detail. More to come of what we heard from the Holy Spirit on this great experience. We are forever thankful to our daughters and their families and many friends for the love and sacrifice that enabled our priceless three weeks in Jerusalem!

Romancing Jerusalem

There are those who warn about a romanticized view of Jerusalem, yet, it is possible to face the real threats of our day and still have a palpable love for this eternal capital.

Doreen and I have been here for almost three weeks celebrating our 50th anniversary, along with Jerusalem’s 50th. We love this city of God. We were wed one day after the Six Day War in 1967. We have been exceptionally blessed and are the first to admit it is far more than we deserve. Yet, we have tried to live with a measure of humility while setting an example of relational love. This is most obvious in a loving marriage, but it also available in all of our relationships.

The Kingdom of God is relational. This world keeps trying to make it religious and political. But Jesus warned quite sternly:

Then He charged them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” Mark 8:15 NKJV

As they were crossing the lake, Jesus warned them, “Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod.” Mark 8:15 NLT

The religious spirit is SELF-righteousness. The political spirit is SELF-interest. We certainly must beware of both.

Doreen and I have been living a dream of a marriage. Sometimes we are tempted to feel guilty for this blessing. Yet, we have learned one thing that may be an encouragement to those who have not been blessed with 50 years. We live each day and each year as if it was our last. We have always had a sense of the imminence of the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua. But also, we have always been thankful for every single blessing in the present tense. From that we have reaped wonderful memories.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Romans 1:20:21

Treasure your memories. This is our exhortation to those who feel you were slighted when God was blessing others. You have great memories of your own. Treasure them. Your memories may not be 50 years, but whatever the length, they are real. Remember them. Be thankful for them. If you have had a wonderful spouse, even for a short time, be thankful.

For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which especially includes you. 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

Jerusalem Liberated 50 Years Ago

Doreen and I are presently in Jerusalem celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with the entire nation of Israel. (Well, maybe they are not all aware of ours, but we sure are rejoicing in theirs.)

Ten years ago, Doreen and I were here for our 40th. Here is an updated description of what it is like to visit Yehovah God’s holy city.

“Going up to Jerusalem” pulsates every fiber of your being.

I have always felt that a visit to Israel is like a salmon returning to it spawning grounds. The Bible clearly declares that “this one and that one were born in her”. You really feel like you were born there:

“HIS foundation is in the holy mountains. Yehovah loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God! Selah

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those who know Me; Behold, O Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia: ‘This one was born there.'” And of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her; And the Most High Himself shall establish her.” Yehovah will record, when He registers the peoples: “This one was born there.” Selah

Both the singers and the players on instruments say, “All my springs are in you.” Psalm 87

You are literally returning “to the rock from which you were hewn:”

“LISTEN to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek Yehovah: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.” For Yehovah will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yehovah; joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:1-3

ALL THREE DIMENSIONS of your humanness – spirit, soul and body vibrate with the pulse of His Life while you are in His Land!

BODY: All five senses are engaged. You see with your own eyes the stones that will cry out if His people won’t praise Him. You see the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked on the water. You see the land that Abraham walked 4,000 years ago! I cannot begin to list the sights that follow one rushing after the other. You hear the wind and waves and sparrows and voices from every tongue with your own ears. You smell exotic aromas of food and spices and perfumes and people like you have never noticed before. You taste the salt air of the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean and the sweat of Masada and close contact in the open market! And did I mention the food? Real bread? Black olives like you have never tasted? Falafel and shwarma sandwiches and spices you may not recognize? Then you touch the Western Wall in prayer and praise and worship. You pick up a stone on the shore of Galilee that Peter may have thrown in the water while listening to Jesus teach. Yes, the senses are assaulted in Israel beyond words.

SOUL: The soul of man is who you are, your personality. It is what makes you, you! It is made up of mind, will and emotion. This dimension too, is overwhelmed in Israel. The guide will share so much thrilling factual history that your mind can scarcely process it. Only take notes of the most pertinent facts or your brain will blow a fuse. Your own memory will spring into overdrive as every Bible story you ever heard comes alive! Your emotions may at times feel like you will explode with tears and joy and understanding. Don’t worry, it is a good thing. (Although, they do have a wing in a Jerusalem hospital for those diagnosed with “the Jerusalem Syndrome.” If you think you are Jesus, or one of the two witnesses, or Moses; you may want to delay your visit to Israel until after your deliverance.) Regarding your will, if you ever had any doubts, they will be blasted into the stratosphere in light of the living evidence surrounding you at every site. In Israel, your choice to follow the Lord is loudly confirmed with humility and great joy.

SPIRIT: Remember when Saul was among the prophets and he could prophesy? That is how it is in the Land of God. You will be hearing so much in your spirit that you will hardly contain yourself and will certainly have to share what you are hearing with those around you. It is that way every time I go. Even familiar old verses come alive with new insight. Your worship seems sweeter, the quiet seems quieter. In praise you may hear the angel’s voices joining in with yours. You are exhausted and yet do not want to sleep at all for fear you will miss something. Your spirit is edified and you wonder why temptation was so tempting. You are truly on a mountaintop of the glory of Yehovah. On the other hand you will also discern (with greater clarity than ever) various other spirits around there that are not of God. I like to say, not entirely in jest, that Jerusalem is where all the demons go for their annual two-week vacations.

It is quite true that Jerusalem is the focal point of the whole earth. God placed His love on her and all the demons of hell are opposed. Jerusalem is not the target, it is the prize. We are at the end of the age. The lines are drawn. All the nations will gather to take the prize but all who try to lift Jerusalem will hurt themselves according to Zechariah.

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” Zechariah 12:3

What God Did Not Do

John 3:16 is arguably the most famous verse in the New Testament. But why don’t we hear about the next verse? Both reveal God’s desire to save us (and the whole world) from our self-willed selves, from the devil, and from hell. His love is the amazing root of His grace, yet we overlook the profound statement in verse 17.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17

If the doctor diagnoses you with terminal cancer, is he condemning you to death or is the cancer responsible? Likewise, when God offers His Son to die in our place, He is not condemning us to hell. The cancer of our own sin and rebellion condemn us. Jesus came to save us, to give us life. He is the Messiah, the Lamb of God, sent to bear our sin that we could live. He is not the cancer, He is the cure!

In my recent book, Blessing Israel, I made a similar declaration about Israel. Yehovah God did not choose Israel as a means of rejecting the rest of the world, but as His means of saving the Gentiles. From the beginning, His promise has been that those who bless Israel will be blessed. That salvation offer was first spoken in Genesis.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

All the families of the earth! But the nations rejected God and His promised Messiah, and therefore rejected Israel. They became jealous of God’s chosen ones and began a long history of trying to kill the chosen people. Yet, the very reason they were chosen was to bless the nations. How ironic that this was misunderstood and rejected.

Now in this last generation, Yehovah God is restoring Israel to favor and great blessing. Once again Gentile nations have a choice to embrace God’s blessing or reject Him again. It is the dividing of the sheep and goat nations.

All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:32

Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the nations. One cannot accept Jesus and reject Israel or accept Israel and reject Yeshua. The merger has begun.

Trump Buys Lie, Signs Waiver

Claiming it will help “the peace process” President Trump signed the waiver today blocking the US Embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Palestinians and the Muslim world keep deceiving US Presidents with the lie that peace is possible “if only” the US or Israel would just to something (fill in the blank) or not do something (like move the Embassy), then there would finally be peace. It is a damnable lie!

The peace process is dead. It is not going to happen. Israel knows it. The Palestinians know it. Since meeting with Trump, Abbas has named a “cultural center” after a major terrorist/”martyr” and defied condemnations about the naming.

PM: Keeping US embassy in Tel Aviv ‘drives peace away’ The Prime Minister Office says Trump’s decision to postpone moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem diminishes chances for peace between Israelis and Palestinians because it keeps false narrative alive. “Israel’s consistent position is that the American embassy, like the embassies of all countries with whom we have diplomatic relations, should be in Jerusalem, our eternal capital,” the statement from Netanyahu’s office says.

President Trump has broken his word to move the Embassy and has succumbed to Muslim pressure and the seduction of being the one who finally brings peace.

The Art of the Middle East Peace Deal President Donald Trump has a real opportunity to broker an accord between Israel and the Palestinians. Can President Donald Trump broker the Israeli-Palestinian deal of a lifetime? After his trip to Israel, there is certainly cause for hope.Settling the major issues between Israel and the Palestinian Authority has been an idée fixe for successive American presidential administrations.

So, where do we go from here? We pray even harder for President Trump according to Psalm 140. We pray that he will see through the lies and seduction of any personal glory as the peacemaker. He can still decide to move the Embassy after another six months, but once starting down the path of compromising, it is hard to turn around. I will not soft pedal it. He blew it. There will be repercussions for America and/or for his Administration. This is the wrong direction. He is under a withering attack from all sides. This is not the time to appease the globalists. I am very concerned.

This message concerning the fate of Israel came from Yehovah: “This message is from Yehovah, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves. Zechariah 12:1-3 NLT

One-fifth of foreign aid to Palestinians is allocated to jailed terrorists

The Palestinian Authority’s annual budget reveals that more than 7% — is allocated as salaries to Palestinian terrorists in Israel jails, continuing after they are released, and to the families of those who died while “fighting Zionism.” This was reported by Brig.-Gen (res) Yossie Kuperwasser of the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs to the Knesset Security Committee in a briefing Monday.

Payouts to the families of “martyrs” consumed around 20 percent of foreign donations to the Palestinian authority in 2016. Hamas terrorists were among the beneficiaries. Gen. Kuperwasser, a former senior intelligence officer, noted that the ongoing wave of “lone attacks” with knives and vehicles of recent years turns out to be part of “an institutional campaign of violence against Israel – not just incited but also directly funded by the PA.” DEBKAfile May 29, 2017

What Trump did NOT Do in Israel

Here is an excellent summary of what President Trump did not do in Israel – from Joel Rosenberg

Did not unveil an American-imposed peace plan and pressure Israel to accept it
Did not even use the words “two state solution” during his entire visit
Did not criticize Israeli settlements, or mention them publicly at all
Did not criticize Israeli policies of any kind
Did not surprise the Israelis with major announcements of any kind, much less any policies that weren’t carefully discussed in advance
Did not go off message, either in his public remarks or on Twitter

Another big moment came when the President met in Bethlehem with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas: “Peace can never take root in an environment where violence is tolerated, funded and even rewarded,” Mr. Trump said during his public remarks, at Mr. Abbas’ side. “We must be resolute in condemning such acts in a single unified voice.”

As the Times of Israel noted, this was a “reference to the salaries paid by the [Palestinian Authority] to jailed Palestinian terrorists and to the families of Palestinian prisoners killed while committing terror attacks.” Joel Rosenberg

We must pray for President Trump. Here is a great Psalm of David, praying for deliverance from his enemies. It is amazingly appropriate for our President.

Trump Speaks for God to Muslim Leaders

Trump Offers “Life or Death” Choice – Media and talking heads will slice and dice the events of President Trump’s first foreign trip ad nauseam, but we should consider his warning to the 50+ Muslim leaders assembled in Saudi Arabia. He offered a simple choice in calling Muslims to reject terrorism. Choose life!

7 Quotes from the President’s speech:

Donald Trump insisted in a speech addressing global ‘Islamic extremism’ that Muslim leaders must scare would-be terrorists into submission, warning them about the impact suicide bombings will have on their immortal souls.

‘Religious leaders must make this absolutely clear: Barbarism will deliver you no glory – piety to evil will bring you no dignity,’ Trump said in a sumptuous Saudi ballroom that put Mar-a-Lago to shame.
‘If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, your life will be brief, and your soul will be fully condemned,’ he said.
‘Heroes don’t kill innocents,’ a confident Trump declared at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in Riyadh. ‘They save them.’
‘Drive them out!’ he said. ‘Drive them out of your places of worship, Drive them out of your communities. Drive them out of your holy lands, and drive them out of this earth,’ he trumpeted.
‘With God’s help this summit will mark the beginning of the end for those who practice terror and spread its vile creed,’ the president said.
Trump insisted that fighting terrorism is ‘a battle between good and evil,’ not between ‘different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations.’

Our President essentially charged the leaders with standing for good, which is life, or supporting terror, which is a death cult. It is a stark choice that Yehovah God offered Israel on more than one occasion in the Bible.

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!” Ezekiel 18:30-32

Ezekiel 18 includes a revealing aspect of God’s character. Verses 23 and 32 Yehovah declares that He has no pleasure in the death of one who dies. Many think God has some perverse satisfaction in the death of the wicked. On the contrary, He grieves over losing them for His Kingdom. Thus, the call is always: “Turn and live!”

We must pray that the hearts of those who really “hear” the call from the Holy Spirit, will turn from evil and death with that eternal choice of life. We know it is only available from Yehovah God through His Son, the Messiah Yeshua.

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT

Trump’s Travels and Childless EU Leaders

While we wait for the historic events of this weekend in Saudi Arabia, Israel, Brussels and Rome, here is a shocking revelation regarding leaders of Europe, followed by my view of President Trump’s Trip.

Europe’s Childless Leaders Sleepwalking Us to Disaster What do the leaders of Germany, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg and the First Minister of Scotland have in common? None of them have children. Why is this remarkable? If one or two were childless, you might overlook it as inconsequential. But six leaders begins to look like a pattern and worse, an influence on long-range European policy. Is there a connection to Germany’s Angela Merkel inviting a million and a half Muslim “refugees” into Germany and her absence of a personal posterity? Consider these quotes from an article from Gatestone Institute International Policy Council.

Angela Merkel made the fatal decision to open the doors of Germany to one million and half migrants to stop the demographic winter of her country. It is not a coincidence that Merkel, who has no children, has been called Mama Merkel “the compassionate mother” of migrants. Merkel evidently did not care if the massive influx of these migrants would change German society, probably forever.

“There have never been so many childless politicians leading Europe as today. They are modern, open minded and multicultural and they know that “everything finishes with them”. In the short term, being childless is a relief since it means no spending for families, no sacrifices and that no one complains about the future consequences. As in a research report financed by the European Union: “No kids, no problem!.”

As Europe’s leaders have no children, they seem have no reason to worry about the future of their continent.

“‘Finding ourselves’ becomes more important than building a world.” — Joshua Mitchell.

That is why Turkish leader Erdogan urged Muslims to have “five children” and Islamic imams are urging the faithful to “breed children“: to conquer Europe. Islamic supremacists are busily building a clash of civilizations in Europe’s midst, and they depict their Western host countries collapsing: without population, without values, and abandoning their own culture.

Now for some perspective on this information and how President Trump’s first overseas trip relates. As the above cartoon illustrates, he will visit the headquarters of the world’s “three great religions.” The caption reads: “It’s more than presidential, it’s Messianic.” We will soon know the direction he will take. We are facing a clash of cultures on a Biblical scale. Whatever happens the next seven days, it will be prophetic fulfillment. Yehovah God Himself is orchestrating these events. He is firmly in control and His Plan will be seen in the end.

If Trump moves the US Embassy to Jerusalem it will certainly accelerate events with an explosive backlash from the Muslim world. If he does not, it will probably accelerate the rise of Islam by falling into the trap of “peaceful true Islam” versus the “radical terrorists who pervert Islam.” The problem with that hopeful division is that the radicals are actually truer to the faith and example of Mohammed. They are the fundamental faithful who ultimately expose the moderates as apostates from historic fundamental Islam.

Make no mistake. It will all come down to Jerusalem. That is why Monday and Tuesday are so important to see what President Trump says while in Jerusalem. Don’t be swayed by news reports that are all over the options. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

History Made in Next 7 Days.

New US ambassador David Friedman arrives in Israel, prays for Trump

It would be hard to overstate the importance of the next seven days. President Trump’s first overseas trip will see him Saturday and Sunday in Saudi Arabia with leaders of 50 Muslim nations pressuring him for their agenda. He then visits Israel on Monday and Tuesday where he will pray at the Western Wall, visit Yad VaShem, the Holocaust Memorial, and meet with PM Netanyahu. He will also be with PA President Abbas in Bethlehem. From there he goes to Rome to meet the Pope and on to EU HQ in Belgium for a NATO meeting. He ends the trip in Sicily for economic talks with the G7.

Billed as a visit to the seats of the “world’s three great religions,” we have serious prayer concerns. We hope he will announce finally moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel’s eternal capital. However, there are ominous signs that he may instead resurrect the failed two-state peace plan. Pray that he will hear from Yehovah God in Heaven and show the courage to stand with Israel against all odds, regardless of threats.

White House reports suggest he may state that the terrorists are “perverting Islam’s peaceful religion.” There is great opportunity for him to be deceived here. We must pray for the Holy Spirit of truth to speak directly to him.

Today as I write this, President Trump has a White House meeting with Turkey President Erdogan, who I am sure will give our President an earful of anti-Israel propaganda. Yet, the everlasting eternal God of Israel will triumph!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—

From whence comes my help?

My help comes from Yehovah,

Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel

Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Yehovah is your keeper;

Yehovah is your shade at your right hand.

Back from Idaho, On to Israel

Thank you Sandpoint Christian Center, Sandpoint River of Life Church and Cocolalla Cowboy Church for such wonderful meetings last week. My granddaughter Aly and I were so blessed to minister and enjoy the great Pacific Northwest. I always leave part of my heart there on many levels. Ken and Mavis Lawrence are gracious hosts and even more so with Aly along as my assistant.

Now Doreen and I prepare for our extraordinary 50th Anniversary trip to Jerusalem, a beyond generous gift from our daughters’ families and friends. We are so excited to be there to join in the 50 year anniversary celebrations of the reunification of Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. It was a prophetically historic event at the end of the 1967 Six Day War.

Yeshua had prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem which occurred in 70 AD.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” Luke 21:20-24

This section is often put into the end times, but notice that after the destruction they will “be led away captive into all nations”. This refers to the nearly 1900 years between the 70 AD fall of Jerusalem, to its reunification of 1967.

But He also prophesied its restoration in verse 24:

And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

There was to be an end to the Gentile rule of Jerusalem. In addition, He connected the restoration of Jerusalem to the Messiah’s coming.

Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Luke 21:29-33

To which generation does He refer in verse 32, that will not pass away till He comes? I submit that it is our generation, the one which sees Jerusalem come back under the sovereignty of Israel instead of Gentile nations.

Hallelujah! Come soon Yeshua ha Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah!

Jerusalem Plot Thickens

shofar As Israel celebrated their Independence Day yesterday, Palestinians mourned the occasion as “the catastrophe.” Even worse, UNESCO voted to deny Israel’s claims to Jerusalem on the same day (not a coincidence). Plus, the PA President, Mahmoud Abbas, is meeting with President Trump in Washington tomorrow, further thickening the plot.

Make no mistake, the goal of Islam remains the complete destruction of all Israel. The “moderates” are willing to proceed incrementally, while the rest demand the entire land of Israel immediately. Each step is critical to the eventual outcome.

We must pray courage for President Trump and PM Netanyahu to resist the enormous pressure from the Palestinians and the nations arrayed against Israel. The ultimate victory of Israel is in Yehovah God’s hands.

Trump’s trajectory seems to be to recognize all of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, which is to simply acknowledge the truth first established over 3,000 years ago by King David. The Jews have always maintained it is their capital. Meanwhile, no other nation has ever existed that named Jerusalem as its capital city.

President Trump’s first ever visit to Israel will be around May 22 when he may make his declarations. Pray that he will do it. It is time! The next day is Jerusalem Day (50 year anniversary of the liberation of Jerusalem from Jordan during the Six Day War). This is a profoundly significant month in Biblical history being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Pray that the United States will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Pray that we will move our Embassy, leading many other nations to follow. Pray for Presidential courage to resist Abbas and the anti-Israel principality. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

On a personal note, thanks for your prayers for my Idaho ministry trip. It has been wonderful having my granddaughter Aly helping me on her Bat Mitzvah trip. We had a great meeting Sunday at Sandpoint Christian Center, next Friday and Saturday nights at River of Life and next Sunday at Cocalalla Cowboy Church. Please pray for us.

Embassy Move?

PLANS ARE UNDERWAY for President Trump’s first visit to Israel later this month. Timed to be near the Jerusalem reunification celebrations, odds are strong that he may bring a great gift to Israel. He could use the occasion to announce moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. It has been 50 years since re-gaining Jerusalem in the 1967 Six Day War.

Israel is the only nation where our embassy is not in the capital city. It is way past time to act on the law passed by Congress in 1995. A loophole in the law allowed the President to sign a six-month waiver for “national security” reasons. Each President since then has signed a waiver twice a year. The last one was by President Obama on December 1, 2016. The next deadline in June 1.

During his election campaign Trump vowed that if victorious he would relocate the US Embassy to Jerusalem, a highly symbolic move valued by Israel as confirmation of the city as its capital, but strongly opposed by Palestinians and the Arab world which want East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state. Yesterday President Trump spoke warmly about the Jewish people and the State of Israel at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum’s annual Days of Remembrance event. Trump said at the event that he “will always stand with our great friend and partner, the State of Israel “

“And we’ll never be silent — we just won’t — we will never, ever be silent in the face of evil again.,” the American president stressed, saying that the scale of the loss was incomprehensible. “The Nazis massacred six million Jews. Two out of every three Jews in Europe were murdered in the genocide. Millions more innocent people were imprisoned and executed by the Nazis without mercy, without even a sign of mercy.” Arutz Sheva

See Something, PRAY Something

Great advice from my Bible College days 50 years ago: “Don’t be a preacher who has to say something, be a preacher who has something to say.” That concept is missing today, not just with preachers, but everyone. People are spouting off their opinions all around, but not really saying anything. They just like to hear themselves talk. The reason they are not really saying anything is because they are disconnected from God’s voice. My goodness, there are many Christians who say God doesn’t even speak anymore, like He has gone mute.

That is why we have been hosting Issachar Forum: A Prophetic Think Tank for more than ten years. It is based on the reality of hearing God speak by the Holy Spirit, the Bible, creation and yes, even current events. In fact, He especially speaks about current events. Here is our basis:

…of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do… 1 Chronicles 12:32

We are not looking for man’s opinion, we seek Yehovah God’s world view, and especially His specific purpose in current events. As sons and daughters of Issachar, we may not wield much human influence, but we are mighty through prayer. Prayer changes nations.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4

So PRAY!

Here is an example. Why is Islam on the move? What about all the “refugees”? Where is God in all of it? Well, here is a Biblical view. Just as the Nazis nearly conquered Europe, Islam seeks global supremacy with a similar core purpose: the annihilation of the Jews and now the State of Israel. Just as in Egypt, Satan meant it for evil, but God turns it to good. I maintain that God reversed the aim of the Nazis and used their atrocities as a springboard to establish Israel (which by the way, He has said for millennia that He would do). So too, today, Yehovah will reverse Satan’s (and Islam’s goal) of destruction, to instead restore His beloved Israel. Here is the Biblical concept which sheds light on how God works.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “that it shall no more be said, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

“Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says Yehovah, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. Jeremiah 16:14-16

Though severe, it is our loving and faithful Father bringing His people home.

So, when you see something in the news, find out God’s purpose in it, and then PRAY into His will. If you want your prayers to be answered, try praying in agreement with what God has already said He intends to accomplish.

So PRAY something!

Turkey, the Real Caliphate

The Turkey referendum last Sunday bestowed near dictatorial power to President Erdogan. I have maintained that ISIS is a premature and false Caliphate. I know this is way out on the end of a very long limb, but he is my best guess at the moment for the Antichrist.

After the “military coup” last summer he imprisoned just about anyone who opposed him in a purge. Estimates were at least 40,000 to more than 200,000. He is steadily moving Turkey toward a radical Islamic Republic (think Iran).

The discussion for a decade was when Turkey would be admitted to the European Union. The better question is when will the EU, which is fast becoming Islamicized, be admiitted to the Caliphate based in Istanbul?

Perhaps the most stunning clue was seen just a few days after the coup. Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, president of the World Federation of Muslim Scholars and the most influential global Muslim cleric, endorsed Erdogan as the “Supreme Leader” of the entire Muslim world. He was joined by a host of other prominent Muslim scholars from around the globe. (Qaradawi has a TV viewership of 60 million each week. He also led prayers in Cairo in a gathering of 2 million Egyptians on one occasion.) The proclamation of Erdogan was widely publicized throughout Islamic media, but not a whisper in the West. Thanks to ex-terrorist believer Walid Shoebat for translating the proclamation into English:

It consists of what many viewed as a direct command from heaven itself to Erdogan declaring that “Allah” including “the angelic host” and “the saints” appointed Erdogan to be given allegiance by all Muslims including all Muslim scholars from all four corners of the globe:

“Allah is with you and all Arab and Muslim nations are with you including all freedom loving people are with you. We, all the Muslim scholars, in the four corners of the globe, are with you. The Angel Gabriel and the righteous one [in heaven] are with you. And after that the angels will be revealed.

We are all with you. It is because you have stood with righteousness against evil. You are with justice against injustice…

Dear President, lead Turkey as you wish and as we wish … we will be with you giving you strength and will support your party and your loyalists as Allah instructed “O ye who believe fear Allah and stand with the righteous …”

Is Erdogan the Antichrist? Of course I don’t know, but he certainly is a leading candidate.

Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come. 1 John 2:18

And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. 1 John 2:22

Glorious Resurrection Day, but Please Stop Using the E word.

HE’S ALIVE! Christians all over the world will celebrate the resurrection of Yeshua/Jesus this Sunday. It is a most glorious worship of the One who conquered death. We cannot overemphasize the magnitude of that event. We should be giddy with joy. Yet I am grieved over an almost universal blind spot in churches this week. Most will use the name of the pagan goddess of Babylon freely in their services.

We are instructed: In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1 (see also Deuteronomy 19:15 and Matthew 18:16). So what are you going to do from now on after reading the following four separate Scripture witnesses?

Simple Islam – Excerpts from Chapter 11 – Stop Saying the Names of other gods.

Most God-fearing Christians and Jews completely understand and respect the first commandment to have “no other gods” before Yehovah. Yet, in the Western nations, including America, many have opened up their thinking to other gods in the name of tolerance. This makes me want to ask them: “What part of ‘no other gods’ don’t you understand?”

It is only recently that I have found a more specific prohibition on the subject. You may have noticed by now that I am reluctant to say or write the name of the god of Islam. It is because the Bible prohibits it! What if we in America or at least believers were to practice the following four scriptures? Notice how the Holy Spirit progressively adds another component to the prohibition with each verse.

Here is the prohibition.

And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth. (Exodus 23:13).

Then Joshua adds three more conditions.

You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them, but you shall hold fast to Yehovah your God, as you have done to this day. (Joshua 23:7).

The way a person converts to Islam is by standing in a public place and swearing allegiance three times to the god of Islam and his messenger, Muhammad. The next step is to serve that god and bow down to it. You have seen many examples of Muslims doing that even in public five times a day. I am ashamed to say that in a widely publicized picture, President Obama, who professes Christianity, bowed down 90 degrees from the waist to the King of Saudi Arabia, who is the religious custodian/keeper of Mecca.

The third scripture introduces another aspect, blood, which especially applies to radical Islamists. This blood thirsty death cult delights in the shedding of blood in the name of their god. Hence, we hear the perverse oath proclaimed by every suicide bomber before detonation, that his god is the greatest.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips. (Psalm 16:4).

Fourth, Hosea adds a final point. Not only will we not speak their names, but eventually their names will not even be remembered.

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more. (Hosea 2:17).

Psalm 83:4 highlights an amazing contrast: They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Satan does not have an original creative thought in his head. He can only twist and pervert what God says or does. So his plan to remove the remembrance of Israel is nothing more than a copycat idea from the truth that the devil and all his false gods face in eternity.

Now therefore, fear Yehovah, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve Yehovah! (Joshua 24:14)

We have already been lulled into complacency by using the name of the top pagan goddess, called Ishtar in Babylon and known by other names in other cultures. Christians use her name in place of Resurrection Day, calling it by her name, Easter, which is a derivative of the Babylonian “queen of heaven”. (More detail at this link) To top off the deception, some King James Bible translations even miss-translate Acts 12:4 using the name of the goddess instead of Passover, which is the real word in the Greek (Pesach). Most translations have corrected this error, but it is still used almost universally by Christians. Is it that important to correct this error? I am convinced that it is critical, along with using God’s personal name, Yehovah. Only Satan and Allah benefit from our ignorance.

(Note: I have used the banned names in my teaching, much as the Bible does. The prohibition regards using other gods’ names in daily life.)

Disclaimer: This is not meant to condemn or to be taken legalistically. I am just sounding a shofar to alert you to these verses. With all the commercial use of the E-word it is very hard to avoid it. It is so ingrained in our culture that it is easy to slip up and say it. My point is that it is time to pivot from our earlier times of ignorance and seek to align our everyday behavior with God’s revealed purpose. Please Stop Using the E word.

Let’s celebrate the resurrection of the Lamb of Yehovah God with all our might! Praise the name of Jesus/Yeshua! HE IS ALIVE!

Passover Merger

Passover Lamb As Jewish families observe Passover this week, a growing phenomena is happening. More Christians than ever are also sharing a Passover supper. Tonight, Doreen and I will be with 110 of our closest friends to celebrate the deliverance of the human race from the slavery of sin and condemnation.

The passing over of the death angel in Egypt was the first indication of Yehovah’s plan of salvation through the blood of a lamb. Who knew back then that the Messiah would ultimately become that Lamb Himself? (Read Isaiah 53)Jews and Christians who really value Passover are closer than ever to that wonderful merger of Ephesians as I wrote about in my book, Blessing Israel.

Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:11-18

“One new man from the two” refers to Jews and former Gentiles, merging with one another by the Holy Spirit in their shared access to God. Hallelujah! This is the miracle of sacrifice of the eternal Lamb of God, our Messiah Yeshua.

Let it be done O Lord, according to your word. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Women’s March Leader Stripped of Citizenship and Deported

You need to know this story. It will not likely make the evening news, but shows progress in US immigration debate. I find it shocking that Rasmea Odeh was a leader of the “Day Without Women” a few weeks ago (March 8).

She was convicted of terrorism in Israel in 1969 and sentenced to life in prison. She was released in a prisoner swap, after serving ten years.
Her conviction was for two terrorist bombings in Jerusalem which killed two students who were grocery shopping.
Later she moved to the United States and lied on her citizenship application, failing to mention her jail time.
She rose to prominence as an anti-Israel activist and “feminist” which resulted in her leadership of the “Day Without Women”.
Finally, after a lengthy legal process, she was stripped of her falsified US citizenship and will be deported to Jordan on April 15.

I just thought you ought to know that things are beginning to turn around within our government. Here are links to more details about this story.

Israeli hi-tech innovation leads the world. In the midst of the gloom and doom of surrounding wars and terrorism, Israel is booming with prosperity and blessing. Mobileye, an Israeli start-up, is just the latest example. Its autonomous driving technology innovation attracted the interest of Intel, one of the world’s largest companies. Intel paid $15.3 billion, the most ever for an Israeli start-up.

Hi-tech behemoth Intel is really excited about its acquisition of Israel’s autonomous driving company Mobileye, and its new base of operations in the Jewish state.

At a press conference announcing the acquisition, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said: “We think of ourselves as an Israeli company as much as a US company.”

The chip-maker believes so much in Israeli innovation, that it’s going to make Mobileye’s Jerusalem headquarters the new central base of operations for all of Intel’s autonomous vehicle efforts. Israel Today

This is another sign of the favor of God on Israel. After nearly two millennia under God’s judgments, (see Romans 11), the page has turned. We are now in the period of Israel’s favor and restoration.

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. Psalm 102:13

The worst time ever for the Jews was the Holocaust, followed almost immediately by the “page turning” miracle of Israel national rebirth. The Hebrew language was restored. They got their land back, the people back and even their capital city back, with the liberation of Jerusalem in 1967.

What a day to be alive to witness all this with our own eyes. We rejoice for Israel under the favor of God. Israel is meant to be a blessing to all the other nations. This safety technology is another example.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain this month.

The Merger Miracle

Jews and Christians will inevitably be united as one people and one nation. It will take a miracle! Christian Zionists and Jewish Zionists working together is a great first step. But we have a long way to go, and only God can do it. Our part is to yield, leaning in to His lead. We will have to follow Him. Our sensitivity to His Holy Spirit voice may have life or death consequences.

The merger miracle can be seen in the often quoted verse from the Wisdom of Solomon:

Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

The secret to the miracle is more than Jews and Christians working together for Zion. It is Yehovah God as the third strand of cord woven together. All three in unity makes a winning combination.

What motivates Yehovah? Did God bring Jews back to Israel from all over the world to just destroy them? No, that is the mantra of Iran. Did God originally choose Israel as a means to reject the world? No, His motive was to pave the way for all the nations to be blessed through Israel. Did God later choose the Church so He could find a way to completely and permanently reject Israel? No! He never gave up on them. He vowed to restore them and we have seen it in our lifetimes. (See Romans 11 for the full explanation.)

On a physical level, I see more land for Israel as the result of the Arab Spring described in Isaiah 19. The same is true for the Psalm 83 War. Both events, probably concurrent, will mean that Israel will need more immigrants. Many of those may eventually be Christian Zionists invited by Israel.

Spiritually and relationally, a great affinity is already forming between many Jews and Christians. On two separate occasions I heard Israeli Jews say that they “love God, believe in the Messiah, and when He comes they will look at His hands and feet. And then we will rejoice together!” That is an amazing confession.

Christians will have to give up replacement theology and Jews will accept Yeshua as Messiah. Jews will not become culturally gentile-ized, or Christian-ized out of their Judaism, but recognize that Yeshua simply fulfills all of the prophecies about the Messiah. Of course the convincing occurs in their relational interaction with Jesus, one on one. That is God’s part.

It really is a merging of the two, not a swallowing up of Israel by the Church. Israel is destined to be the head and not the tail. A sad fact is that it appears that a majority of “Christendom” (those who by title or nationality are considered Christian) may not actually know Jesus at all as their personal Savior. We are now in the prophetic time of the great apostasy, the falling away of the church. True relational, saved followers of Jesus may prove to be a distinct minority. I am not proposing that all true Christians will move to Israel, but that a substantial number will. It will be seen by all as a true miracle. Happy Purim

Today and tomorrow Jews around the world celebrate Purim, the festival honoring Esther’s great courage saving the Jews in ancient Persia/Iran. Today Iran again threaten Israel, yet the Jews take time to remember the victory story of Esther (Hebrew name: Hadassah), Mordecai and the evil Haman. Read about it in the Bible’s short Book of Esther.

And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. Pray for Israel Rain

Israel desperately needs rain. The Sea of Galilee is at a 100 year low. Yet, Yehovah God has promised “rain in the time of latter rain.” We must pray into God’s promises. (It is the surest way to get our prayers answered.) Rain and snow and dew are part of the restoration of Israel in the last days. We must do our part. Pray for rain. There is one more month of the rainy season. Pray!

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.Zechariah 10:1

Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yehovah your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you—The former rain,
and the latter rain in the first month.Joel 2:26

Yehovah will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of Yehovah your God and walk in His ways. Praying for the POTUS

I DECLARE that the anointing for the Presidency of the United States has been completely transferred from President Obama to President Trump. This means that the authority President Obama had is now gone. He may be surprised himself over his relative political impotence. I am not making this up, it is the truth of Scripture…

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.Romans 13:1-2

My good friend, Andrea George, sent me an email with a prayer vision for President Trump. She shows the similarity of the transition from King Saul to King David. David’s prayers in the Psalms could be applied to our praying for President Trump. Enjoy Andrea’s revelation.

As you pointed out, the mantle (authority) of the office of President of the USA has been taken off the shoulders of the prior President and placed on the shoulders of President Trump.

As Samuel anointed David, and Saul realized that he had lost the mantle (authority) of kingship, his heart filled with jealousy and he devised schemes to eliminate David and prevent his rule over the kingdom. We see a parallel today in what is happening in the attempts to destabilize and remove the President from leadership:

Here are some of David’s words, as he cried to Yehovah during his time of being hunted and maligned. Please join me in using these words in intercession for President Trump. (It is also noted that David refused to kill or harm his oppressor.)

Psalm 35:26 – Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me (Donald Trump).

Psalm 38:4 – Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my (Donald Trump) soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my (Donald Trump) hurt.

Psalm 40:14 – Let them be confounded and ashamed together that seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me (Donald Trump) evil.

If, indeed, the prophecy that Donald Trump is a modern-day Cyrus appointed by God (to restore the Temple, and help Israel), then we pray that the blessings and promises of Genesis 12:3 will fall upon our nation and that our nation will turn back to Yehovah and His Kingdom principles. Amen.

Genesis 12:3 – I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

We must pray for the Christians now being targeted all over the world. More Christians have died as martyrs in the 20th century until 2017, than the last two thousand years combined. We are also seeing a dangerous escalation of anti-Semitic attacks in recent years. Pray for Christians and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Outside the Box Israel Peace

Here is an intriguing thought for meditation over the weekend. What if the Psalm 83 War is already over? What if Israel and the Psalm 83 states agree to a regional peace with Israel. This new cartoon raises the question. These same states have been trying to destroy Israel since 1948 through several wars.

I have maintained for several years that there would be one more war which Israel wins and then enjoys real peace for a few years. The big war of Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 is clearly when Israel is at peace with un-walled villages. This is not the case today. When Morsi (of the Muslim Brotherhood) ruled Egypt for one year, it seemed the fall of Jordan would allow for one last battle. But then a more friendly government rose in Egypt, and Jordan continues as Israel’s friend. So, I am willing to consider adjusting my scenario.

So what contradicts this new possibility? First, there may not be an agreement at all. The prospect could disappear in a puff of smoke. Also, Syria is certainly not yet in such a position. Plus, Hezbollah now has 100,000 rockets aimed at Israel, and they effectively control Lebanon thus blocking a role for Lebanon to join the peace. Finally, this new scenario is hard to get around Isaiah 17 and 19. The first text declares the complete destruction of Damascus. The second chapter describes a worse Egyptian civil war than Syria’s, along with the Nile River drying up completely, after which the remaining Egyptians accept the God of Israel and His “Savior”. Hmm, maybe I will stick with my original scenario.

Melania and the Lord’s Prayer

Here is a post from my favorite writer (who happens to be my wife). Doreen was really inspired by Melania last Saturday at the Melbourne, Florida Trump rally. She also responded to horrible criticisms of Melania. I hope you enjoy.

My heart hurts today for a very lovely lady, the First Lady of the United States.I was not on the “Trump Train” in the beginning of the primaries, but before long, I recognized that God’s hand was on a Trump presidency. He was moved forward through a very difficult process to final victory. It had to have been an act of God. But this post is not about President Trump. It is concerning his wife who has been faithfully supporting him all along the way.

I know nothing, really, about Melania’s past. I do know that she is a legal immigrant who speaks five languages, that she is devoted to her husband and her son, and she loves the United States of America. I also know that she is a woman, and she is human, and I can imagine how devastated she must be under the weight of the horrible things that have been said about her this past week. She has been called ugly names, mocked for her (very charming) accent, and criticized for saying the Lord’s Prayer at the Rally in Melbourne, FL yesterday. She was mocked for reading the prayer instead of saying it from memory. How miserably critical and malicious does one have to be to do this to her? One poisonous tweet actually said she couldn’t possibly be a Christian if she couldn’t say the prayer from memory. Seriously? I would address these detractors and ask: “How many languages do you speak?” “Could you stand in front of thousands of people and speak without notes?” “Have you been given the authority to say who is a Christian and who is not?”

My respect for Melania Trump soared after seeing her step forward after being thus maligned, and with grace and humility, lead with, “Let us pray…” I was so proud of her! She continued:

“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever (and ever). Amen.”

She said this with sincerity and feeling. The crowd joined in with her, and it was truly a holy moment.

I would like to speak a warning to those who feel it is their duty to tear down another. The scripture that includes this prayer (Matthew 6) doesn’t stop with “Amen”. Jesus felt it necessary to explain one part of this prayer. Do you know what the next verse says?

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

I never pray this prayer anymore without thinking about this passage. If I DO NOT FORGIVE, I will not be forgiven. The way I forgive is the way I AM ASKING GOD TO FORGIVE ME! Is the way I forgive the gold standard I want God to use towards me? Lord, have mercy on us all!

Melania Trump is a beautiful, gracious, classy lady. I’m sure she is not without sin, as none of us are. I admire our First Lady greatly and I pray for her. I pray that the weight of her new position and the ugliness of the attacks against her will not crush her. May these experiences, good and bad, serve to drive her further into the loving and accepting arms of Jesus. I believe she will serve us well in the White House.
