Hurricane Irma was cut in half at landfall in what I can only call the mercy of God. Many believers prayed and He answered. Hallelujah! Praise Him. Now is the time to give thanks. Much damage was done of course with some to still be discovered, but nothing like the forecasts. The media credited the Bermuda high for steering the storm, but I credit our Heavenly Father’s mercy.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.Psalm 86:5, 15But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Ephesians 2:4
After Hurricane Andrew 25 years ago, I heard an amazing truth from a pastor friend who lived in Andrew’s path. I asked what he heard from the Lord through the storm. His answer was: “I learned that God loves His people, but He doesn’t care much about our stuff.” Pastor Ray Marco
Again we see that wonderful abundant mercy of God. We just need to praise Him and thank Him.
Shalom!
