What if they gave a riot and the media didn’t show up? “If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound?” For decades now it is seen in Israel that violent “demonstrations” are in direct proportion to the number of cameras that show up. Tragically, this scourge has now invaded America’s cities and the same is true. Most of the “news” is generated by media coverage.
This photo is a classic example of the type of fake news that I am highlighting. The original New York Times caption in 2000 read: “An Israeli policeman and a Palestinian on the Temple Mount.” The truth was: “American Jew, Tuvia Grossman, rescued by police after being beaten by a mob of Palestinians.” (Read the amazing real story at Honest Reporting.)
If a group stages a peaceful protest it gets little attention, but if there is violence, looting, injuries, or death, it gets 24/7 media. That is the nature of the drive for ratings: “If it bleeds, it leads.” So, this can become corrupt, leading to staged events to attract media coverage.
How does this compare to Bible warnings? We know it reveals the end times, but it also simply exposes the deceitful heart. Consider this selection from Proverbs 12.
“An honest witness tells the truth; a false witness tells lies. Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed. Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace! No harm comes to the godly, but the wicked have their fill of trouble. Yehovah detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.” Proverbs 12:17-22 NLT
A false witness describes riots as protests, or describes mobs as protesters. It is a lie to refer to looters as hungry people looking for bread. Those of us who love Yehovah God and His Son, Jesus (Yeshua ben Yehovah) must stand for truth. Pray for lies to be exposed and shalom for our nation.
“But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment (hypocrisy).” James 5:12
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the United States. Pray for our leaders in both countries.

Four Headlines – Twisted Truth
8 04 2022HEADLINES MATTER – If you did not know the real story you would not get it from these headlines. A terrorist walked into a restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel and started murdering Jews. Three died and a dozen more were injured. His motive was to please the god of Islam as a special offering during Ramadan. Gaza and other Palestinian cities celebrated three innocent civilian Jewish deaths with fireworks and handing out candies to honor their “sweet victory.” The father of the terrorist even celebrated his own son’s death.
Tel Aviv attack: Father of assailant praises son’s actions – ‘Victory will come soon, in the coming days you will see the change. You will be free and independent.’ He is reportedly a former senior officer in the Palestinian national security establishment.
Three of these headlines do not mention Jewish victims and do not use the term: “terrorist.” The fourth is the worst. It makes it sound like Israel murdered a Palestinian during a manhunt. Israeli headlines say something more like this: “Terrorist Eliminated After Murdering Civilians in a Restaurant.”
These new deaths now make fourteen Israelis murdered in four different Israeli cities in the last two weeks. There is a major rise in terrorist attacks. It is worse this year because of the convergence of Ramadan, Passover, and Resurrection Day all at the same time. Pray seriously for Divine protection for Israel in the next two weeks. Pray that these threats will turn the hearts of many to the living God of the Bible.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray for rain in Israel.
