Forget All That

21 03 2023

F180119YN015-e1516986716710

The Exodus and deliverance of Israel from Egypt was one of the greatest acts of God in history. Yet, He says to “Forget all that. It is nothing compared to what I am going to do!” The Exodus was nothing by contrast? Wow! Something great is happening with Israel.

“But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and owls, too, for giving them water in the desert. Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed. I have made Israel for myself, and they will someday honor me before the whole world.”  Isaiah 43:18-21 NLT

Isaiah 43 is revealing Yehovah God’s promise and plan to restore His people in the end and forgive their sins. This is the restoration of Israel that we have seen for the last 75 years. His plan is that they will honor Him before the whole world. They have become one of the most powerful nations on earth. They have recently been recognized as the fourth happiest people on the planet! They were 12th two years ago, 9th last year, and fourth this year!

Of course this means that they will experience a great returning, not just to the land, but to Yehovah. They will come to see that Yeshua really is the Messiah and Son of Yehovah. Today, many in Israel are extremely secular, immoral, and many in unbelief. But this will change as God turns their hearts to Him. I pray for them and I pray for us as well. The refreshing of the Lord’s presence comes from repentance.

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.”  Isaiah 43:25 NLT

“But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of RESTORATION of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.”  Acts 3:18-21

We are indeed living in the time of restoration. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for waters in the desert, and for rivers in the dry wasteland.

Four Headlines – Twisted Truth

8 04 2022

Image

HEADLINES MATTER – If you did not know the real story you would not get it from these headlines. A terrorist walked into a restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel and started murdering Jews. Three died and a dozen more were injured. His motive was to please the god of Islam as a special offering during Ramadan. Gaza and other Palestinian cities celebrated three innocent civilian Jewish deaths with fireworks and handing out candies to honor their “sweet victory.” The father of the terrorist even celebrated his own son’s death.

Tel Aviv attack: Father of assailant praises son’s actions ‘Victory will come soon, in the coming days you will see the change. You will be free and independent.’ He is reportedly a former senior officer in the Palestinian national security establishment.

Three of these headlines do not mention Jewish victims and do not use the term: “terrorist.” The fourth is the worst. It makes it sound like Israel murdered a Palestinian during a manhunt. Israeli headlines say something more like this: “Terrorist Eliminated After Murdering Civilians in a Restaurant.”

These new deaths now make fourteen Israelis murdered in four different Israeli cities in the last two weeks. There is a major rise in terrorist attacks. It is worse this year because of the convergence of Ramadan, Passover, and Resurrection Day all at the same time. Pray seriously for Divine protection for Israel in the next two weeks. Pray that these threats will turn the hearts of many to the living God of the Bible.

“The name of Yehovah is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10

“Yehovah’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over. Therefore, Yehovah, we know you will protect the oppressed, preserving them forever from this lying generation, even though the wicked strut about, and evil is praised throughout the land.”  Psalm 12:6-8 NLT

Why Pray for Israel Rain?

26 03 2022

Sea of Galilee 2

Just so you know, it is commanded by God to pray for rain in Israel. There is even a specific prophetic timing to do it. There are four related prophetic reasons, but here is the first and most direct command.

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

  1. Command to pray for rain.
  2. Specific timing to pray for rain.
  3. Desert will blossom “like a rose.”
  4. We are living in the time of restoration of Israel.

The second reason is the timing mentioned in that verse, “the time of the latter rain.” This refers to Joel’s prophecy of the last days outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the start of the “church age” and the end. Peter identified the early rain on the day of Pentecost. We are now seeing the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our generation. This is precisely the prophesied “time of the latter rain.”

Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yehovah your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, and the latter rain.

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Joel 2:23 & 28

Third, there is a specific promise of the Negev, Israel’s southern desert. Where it was once a forest, it is now desert because of God’s judgement. Yet the promise remains that it will blossom again!

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; Isaiah 35:1

Those who come He shall cause to take root in Jacob; Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. Isaiah 27:6

The fourth reason to pray for Israel rain is that we are living in the time of Israel’s restoration. After 1,800 years of judgement, God turned the page after the Holocaust and Israel as a nation was reborn. The exiles are retuning from all the countries where they were scattered. Yehovah has restored the land, the people, the language, the capital city, and most importantly, His favor. Since 70 A.D. the Jews never won a war. From 1948 they never lost a war. What changed? God turned the page from judgement to restoration, favor, and blessing. Hallelujah!

“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.” Psalm 102:13

Israel faces very cold, wet weekend as Kinneret continues to rise  With rain expected to continue over the weekend, the Kinneret is set to rise to just half a meter below maximum capacity. March 25, 2022

Yes Virginia, It Snows in Jerusalem

20 02 2021

Snow rejoicing

Israel Snow Part 2: So many people think of Israel as a desert, but this week they enjoyed a beautiful snowfall. From two feet on Mt. Hermon, to several inches in Jerusalem, Israelis rejoiced and played in the snow. It was a welcome break from the virus lockdowns, which are finally being lifted. Here is a link to some great snow pictures from this week. There was also abundant rain and another rise in the level of the Sea of Galilee. (Previous post: Snow in Israel?)

Yehovah gave specific instructions for us in the 21st Century to pray for rain. That is why I always include it as I close my posts. Zechariah 10 is a powerful declaration of His Plan to restore and save Israel and Judah! Here is the Biblical command:

“Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.”  Zechariah 10:1

The context of this verse is amazing. When you read the rest of the chapter, you will find at least 12 references to saving them and “bringing them back” from having been scattered among the nations. We are living in the historic prophetic fulfillment of the great restoration of Israel! Here is a list of the promises:

  1. Save them, bring back, have mercy, and heal them. v. 6
  2. Gather them, redeem them, and they shall increase. v. 8
  3. They shall return. v. 9
  4. Bring them back, gather them, and bring them in. v. 10
  5. Strengthen them. v. 12

“So I will strengthen them in Yehovah, and they shall walk up and down in His name,” Says Yehovah. Zechariah 10:12

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

Let it Rain!

27 11 2020

We have been praying for rain according to Zechariah 10:1 for Israel and our prayers are being answered. Thanks be to Yehovah, the faithful God of Israel, that even with the flooding there are no deaths reported.

“Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone.” Zechariah 10:1

Massive Increase in Lightning Strikes Across IsraelHeavy rains bring flooding, in addition to welcome increase in Sea of Galilee water level.

Wettest November since 1994 causes flooding, damage in coastal cities – Storms expected to let up over the weekend.

“Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; you refuse to be ashamed.” Jeremiah 3:3

Blessing or Judgement? – Giving or withholding rain is a sign that God uses to let us know our condition before Him. We may complain about the flooding, but it sure is better than drought. Israel is in restoration, which is why I have faith that the rains are being restored. One specific sign of the last days is the promise that the desert will blossom like a rose. That is happening on a very small scale through irrigation, but the real blessing comes with the restoration of full scale seasonal rains that will cause the seeds in the desert to sprout and grow and produce fruit. Hallelujah!

“The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of Yehovah, the excellency of our God.” Isaiah 35:1-2

Keep praying for seasonal rains in abundance and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Israel is enjoying several days of heavy rain and snow this weekend. We thank and praise Yehovah God for this blessing after four years of serious drought. The Sea of Galilee was at its lowest recorded point. But the total rain this weekend may exceed eleven or twelve inches! Pray that the flooding caused by this rain will not cost lives. There is also snow falling on Mt Hermon.

Friday will see rain, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds in Israel’s north and center. There may be flooding along the coastline. Snow will fall on Mount Hermon, and there may be snow on the tops of northern and central mountains.

During the afternoon, the rain will spread to the northern Negev, and there may be flooding near the Dead Sea and in the Judean Desert.

Israeli farmers breathe a sigh of relief – Winter is here to stay: Thunderstorms, rain, and hail expected to remain over weekend. After two days of rain and stormy weather, farmers in northern Israel are beginning to breathe a sigh of relief. Israel National News

Ask Yehovah for rain
In the time of the latter rain.
Yehovah will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain,

And rejoice in Yehovah your God;
For He has given you the former rain faithfully,
And He will cause the rain to come down for you—
The former rain, and the latter rain. Joel 2:23

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.first month. James 5:7

Trump 8 / Media 0

14 10 2017

Trump at Value Voters Summit 2017

If you are keeping score, this week it was President Trump with eight wins and the media with zero. Hollywood was caught knee deep in scandals and infighting to further frustrate the left. But, let’s look at the wins for the Administration.

  1. Trump ended coal power plant restrictions (CPP)
  2. Stopped illegal subsidies in Obama Care
  3. Enacted market-based health insurance reforms
  4. Declined to certify Iran deal
  5. Exited UNESCO over anti-Semitism
  6. Welcomed Pakistan freed hostages
  7. Goodell backed down on the National Football League anthem fight.
  8. Confirmed that the Department of Defense (DOD) severed all ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), scrubbing SPLC training from DOD manuals.

Not a bad week for the good guys. God really answered the intercessors in DC last week at Rise Up/The Call at the Mall. We must keep praying for our government with the same passion with which we pray for Israel. Here is a great intercessors site: Capital Hill Prayer Partners

In addition, President Trump told the Value Voters Summit that “We must worship God, not government.”

Remember to keep praying for abundant rains to break the drought in northern Israel and fill up the Sea of Galilee.

“He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground,
and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful.
In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows.”

Let Israel Rains Begin

11 10 2017

Rain in Israel

Thirsty Sea of Galilee sinking toward lowest level ever recorded – Days before tens of thousands of Israelis descend on the Sea of Galilee for the Sukkot holiday, the Water Authority warned that the freshwater lake is at dangerously low levels and expected to reach “the lowest level ever recorded.”

The Lord woke me early Monday morning and led me to pray for rain for Israel. Later Monday, my friend Rob Brown, shared the news from Israel of a surprising early rainstorm. It was an answer to my prayers (and prayers of many others, I am sure). I was elated to be used so directly in intercession. It encouraged me to pray for abundant rains to come and refill the Sea of Galilee. Please let it be a word for you as well to pick up the burden to break the drought in Israel.

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain.
Yehovah will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain,
Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Pray for Israel Rain

9 03 2017

Dry Bones rain

Sea of Galilee at lowest level in century after driest February – Northern farmers warn they will have to stop watering huge swaths of cultivated land unless government steps in. Times of Israel

Israel desperately needs rain. The Sea of Galilee is at a 100 year low. Yet, Yehovah God has promised “rain in the time of latter rain.” We must pray into God’s promises. (It is the surest way to get our prayers answered.) Rain and snow and dew are part of the restoration of Israel in the last days. We must do our part. Pray for rain. There is one more month of the rainy season. Pray!

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.Zechariah 10:1

Yehovah will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of Yehovah your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of Yehovah, and they shall be afraid of you. And Yehovah will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which Yehovah swore to your fathers to give you. Yehovah will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.Deuteronomy 28:9-12

Israel’s Transformation

22 04 2015

View from Yad Vashem

View from Yad Vashem

Our recent trip to Israel spotlighted the epic transformation of the land. We first visited Israel in 1984 and Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, was a highlight. But, the contrast between 1984 and 2015 could not be more spectacular. I wish we had a picture of the barren rocky hills that year, because this year it is full of trees and pastures. The above photo was taken this February at the exit of Yad Vashem. Israel has planted more than 240 million trees in the last 100 years. It is a miracle of restoration and reclamation of the land. The barren rocky hills are indeed transformed!

I will say to the prisoners, ‘Come out in freedom,’
and to those in darkness, ‘Come into the light.’
They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures
and on hills that were previously bare. Isaiah 49:9 NLT

My good friend and brother, Doug Walton, sent me a text yesterday pointing me to Isaiah 49. The vivid promises of our faithful God are now before our eyes! You need to take a few minutes and read the whole chapter. Here are a few more choice verses.

See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.
Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins.
Soon your descendants will come back,
and all who are trying to destroy you will go away.
Even the most desolate parts of your abandoned land
will soon be crowded with your people.
Your enemies who enslaved you will be far away.
The generations born in exile will return and say,
‘We need more room! It’s crowded here!’ Isaiah 49:16-17, 19-20 NLT
God has turned the page from the exiled judgment of His people. We are now living in the historic fulfillment of prophecy! This is the time of Israel’s restoration, favor and blessing. Thank you, Jesus. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Like the Garden of Eden

28 08 2014

Israel_Tel-Dan_MD Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, Yehovah, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, Yehovah, have spoken it, and I will do it.” Ezekiel 36:33-36

Israel was desolate a hundred years ago, a rocky barren moonscape. Today it is alive with agriculture, flowers, fruit and most of all trees, 250 million trees planted in 100 years! Israel is one on only two countries on the planet that has more trees than in the past.  This is the number planted by the Jewish National Fund. There may have been more planted by other groups.

And there is more to come! The Bible speaks of the desert blossoming like a rose. Israel’s desert is called the Negev, which is also the Hebrew word for “south”, because it is in that part of Israel. Israel’s Negev is indeed blossoming. It is one of only two deserts on earth that is shrinking. All the others are expanding, including the American Southwest. Israel’s desert is shrinking by several meters a year.

Israel’s land primarily consisted of desert until the construction of desalination plants along the country’s coast. The largest percent of desalinated water used in any country is in Israel, which produces 40% of its domestic water use from seawater desalination. The desalination plants, which remove the salt from ocean water, have created a new source of water for farming, drinking, and washing. Wikipedia

This is all the product of science and technology (such as Israel’s invention of drip irrigation). However there is another reason to expect great changes the Negev desert. God has promised the total restoration of Israel. That includes returning the desert to it previous state. What was that? Israel’s Negev used to be a forest! Consider this amazing verse predicting the judgment of the South (Negev in Hebrew).

“and say to the forest of the South, ‘Hear the word of Yehovah! Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree and every dry tree in you; the blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to thenorth shall be scorched by it.’ “ Ezekiel 20:47

So we know why it became a desert, but what will God do to transform it back to forest land?

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Pray for Rain!

4 02 2014

Dry wheat fieldIsrael sees driest January on record Capital experiences lowest rainfall in 150 years; only 64% of annual winter average has fallen so far across the country (The Times of Israel)

We have regularly emphasized God’s two Israel prayer requests.

1. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
May they prosper who love you. Psalm 122:6

2. Pray for rain in the time of latter rain. Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Today I am issuing an emergency prayer alert, because of the above report. Let us all agree together for the winter rains to return. I was so excited for the great snowfall in Jerusalem in December that I slacked off on my prayers for rain. Let’s get back to prayer!

Finally, we should also pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu. He is under unprecedented pressure to capitulate to the Kerry Framework Peace Plan that I wrote about last Saturday. Please pray for him to hear from God and stand firm. Otherwise, January’s record dryness could lead to a severe drought. As I reported about former PM Ariel Sharon, not even the Prime Minister of Israel is above God’s judgments. This is especially true of dividing the land!

Pray! Pray! Pray!

Sinai Game Changer

27 08 2011

After the attack on south Israel near Eilat last weekend it’s a new ball game. Eight Israelis were killed in the terrorist attack plus most of the attackers. Reports vary on the loyalty of the attackers either Al-Qaeda Egypt, or Gaza rooted sub groups under Hamas.  It is a definite game changer, either way. Israel has enjoyed peace on its long border with Egypt for decades. View that in your review mirror, it’s history.

The Egyptian revolution was devastating for their economy, killing tourism, and thrusting the nation into chaos and potential famine. Add to that the rise and expected victory of the Muslim Brotherhood in the September elections, and you have more than the provisional military government can handle. Egypt is also very concerned about an Al-Qaeda sabotage of the Suez Canal. Policing the Sinai is a pretty low priority for the military government. Therefore, the Sinai is turning into no man’s land, a bit like our own wild west on steroids, only with a demonic agenda to destroy Israel.

Great irony followed the terrorist attack on Eilat. Israel was the victim of an unprovoked terror assult resulting in a major forced concession that now allows Egypt to station troops in the eastern border. In the fog of the attack several Egyptian security personnel were killed, leading to a demand from Egypt for more troops on their side of the border. This is a clear violation of the peace treaty, but Israel has already conceded under pressure from the US Administration because of Egypt’s threat to break it.

This means that Gaza terror groups will now have free rein in the Sinai along with Al-Qaeda. It is another step closer to the next war with Israel. Syria is on the brink, and even Jordan continues to slide into position for the inevitable Psalm 83 confederacy. Stay tuned. It is happening so fast. This week Israel narrowly avoided a war in Gaza when Hamas backed down.

Beyond politics, what does the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob have planned for the great desert wasteland of the Sinai? Consider what the Bible says about the final conditions when Israel returns in the favor of Yehovah:

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived. Isaiah 35: 1, 6-7 NLT.

Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

June 7 Protests

1 06 2011

Israel E-Card Volume 5 Issue 11

Topic #1   UN STATEHOOD FOR PA IS LIKE DECLARING THE WORLD IS FLAT

“If the UN in September declares the Palestinian Authority to be a state, it might as well decide the world is flat,” PM Binyamin Netanyahu told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee Monday. He said Israel cannot stop the resolution from going forward and has few friends in the international body, but a veto from any member of the UN Security Council would block the proposal from reaching the General Assembly, whose anti-Israel majority likely would approve it. (INN)

Naksa Day, planned for June 7, to protest Israel’s Six Day War victory in 1967. Thanks to Obama putting 1967 back on the table, Palestinians now plan to rush the borders in mass numbers again as they did on May 15. With days of rage, and now regular border clashes, you wonder when they ever work. All of this is leading up to the big one in September when PA pushes for a unilateral declaration of statehood. Psalm 83 will burst into reality at some point.

Topic #2  Jerusalem Water Discovery

“Israel’s largest underground water source discovered near Jerusalem convention center. Excavation work by Israel Railways while working on high speed Jerusalem-Tel Aviv train line reveals cave with largest underground water sources ever discovered in Israel. A small canyon at the end of the segment that has so far been checked plunges through cracks down into a series of waterfalls.” (Haaretz)

For years now I have prayed for rain according to Zechariah 10:1, Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. We must keep praying that He will do it with rain from above and streams from below. Thank you Jesus!

They rely on empty debates and speak lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil. Isaiah 59:4

Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd. Zechariah 10:1-2

Pope Bans Yahweh

1 03 2011

YHVH

Topic #1  Are You Kidding Me?

The pagan god of Islam is splashing his name everywhere and the Pope bans the real God’s name? That is sooo Third Century. The Roman church continued the tradition of the Pharisees to ban the vocalization of the personal name of God: Yehovah. In August of 2008, the Vatican officially banned the name again: As an expression of the infinite greatness and majesty of God, it was held to be unpronounceable and hence was replaced during the reading of sacred Scripture by means of the use of an alternate name: “Adonai,” which means “Lord,” the Vatican letter said. Similarly, Greek translations of the Bible used the word “Kyrios” and Latin scholars translated it to “Dominus”; both also mean Lord. (recent Vatican position against Israel here).

I am on a mission to restore usage of the name Yehovah (or Jehovah or Yahweh, I’m not picky). Every suicide bomber shouts the same thing before exploding. The gullible and naïve media mistranslate it as “god is great” when he (or she) actually says the personal name of Islam’s god is “the greatest”. Isn’t it about time we wake up and exalt the Name of our God Yehovah and His only begotten Son’s name Yeshua?

Topic #2  Egypt Explodes—Israel Receives Rain

As the Middle East dominoes fall, rain is falling in Israel in spite of dire predictions. One fresh report says: Israel has “been blessed by the plentiful rains that continue to fall, even as the first wildflowers are appearing and birds are singing again.”

Surprisingly, at least for now, Israel seems like a little island of tranquility in the midst of the Middle Eastern storm of Islamic violence, hatred and death, as Muslim brothers slaughter each other.  I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms…every one by the sword of his brother (Haggai 2:21).

As dictators fall, the God of Israel is in control. Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding (Daniel 2:20-21).

And Jehovah descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah. And Jehovah passed by before him, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth (Exodus 34:5-6).

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? (Proverbs 30:4).

Wise Men Still Seek Him

ISRAEL E-CARD Volume 4 Issue 24 December 15, 2010

Topic #1  Jesus Is My Reason for the Season

Christmas once again dominates the conversation. The convergence of agendas creates extra pressure. Congress is down to the wire again this year passing tax relief and cramming another 20,000 hidden earmarks in the omnibus CR (Continuing Resolution) just to fund the government. Atheists are attacking belief in God on billboards. Merchants are clamoring and almost begging as they vie for our dollars. Shoppers are frenzied with last minute pressure to avoid offending by their gifts or lack thereof. Whew!

And oh, by the way, the Creator of the Universe was born into our humanity for the express purpose of bringing fallen man back into loving relationship with our heavenly Father. Jesus is buried under the avalanche of commercialism, government chaos, and personal gratification. Yet, miraculously, the name of Jesus is heard everywhere. Once a year Jesus’ name is in the news (even though scholars believe His actual birth was probably in late September). The Messiah is news even at Macy’s. (Yes, you will really be blessed to click on this link.) I pray you recognize the choices before you, choose wisely and be blessed. As for me and my house, we will serve Jesus (Yahweh Yeshua: God is salvation).

Topic #2 Fire Rain and SNOW!

During Israel’s worst fire, we prayed for rain to end the drought. Last week brought enough rain to replace the deficit of the previous two months. Last weekend four feet of snow fell in the Golan foothills and twelve feet on Mt. Hermon. Thanks to God for His mercy. Pray Israel will recognize and turn to Him.

Topic # 3 Motor Home Project Update

We are very close to the 5K level and then 3K more to reach our first goal of 8K to take possession. (The remainder of the total 12K price would be at 500 a month for 8 months interest free.) Please pray and ask the Lord if you can give a year end donation to help us get over the top. Thank you for your prayers for Elisha Vision and for Doreen and me personally.

He took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel. “And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken of Him. Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2:28-33

Miracle Rain

6 12 2010

Due to the most severe forest fire in Israel’s modern history, many believers all over the world have been praying for rain. Sunday night as they were finally beginning to gain control of the fire, a wonderful heavy rain fell on northern Israel. Thank you very much, Jesus Son of God, or in Hebrew: Todah rabah, Yeshua ben Yahweh! Ask Yahweh for rain In the time of the latter rain. Yahweh will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1 Click this link for the full story in Israel Today Magazine.

The rain came last night to Mt. Carmel exactly at the time we were praying for rain in our Issachar Forum Prophetic Think Tank in Wake Forest, NC. We had been talking about Elijah and the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel from 1 Kings 18:21 and Elijah’s famous challenge: If Yahweh is God, follow Him: but if Baal, follow him.

In Elijah’s day it was the end of a three year drought. We pray that this fire and the rain that followed will end the current seven year Israeli drought.
