New Hope for Israeli Christians

A new report in Israel Today Magazine 4-23-14 gives hope for Christian Israeli citizens: The Israeli defense establishment this week decided to begin actively recruiting local Christians into the Israeli army. The move comes after years of encouragement by the Nazareth-based Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum for young Arabic-speaking Christians to voluntarily join the IDF so as to better integrate into Israeli society.

I have reported for several months about the changing attitude toward their Christian citizens. Where they were lumped in with Palestinian Muslims, there is a major change. The Christians themselves are asking to join the IDF and serve in other areas. They trace their roots back to early Christians hundreds of years before Islam.

The Israeli government is taking notice and taking action.

Knesset: Christians Are No Longer ‘Arabs’ Israel’s Knesset on Monday signed into law a bill that legally distinguishes between local Christians and the bulk of the Arabic-speaking population, which is primarily Muslim. The stated goal of the law is to boost Christian employment rights by recognizing them as an independent minority, and thereby granting them separate representation on local councils and employment committees. As a Christian Zionist, I am especially blessed to see this development. I see this as a first step that will lead to a great prophetic fulfillment. The time is coming when the middle wall that separates Jews and Christians, “the People of the Book,” will disappear. Jews and Christians will agree on the true Messiah and will rejoice together.

Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Yeshua you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah.

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to Yehovah in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:11-18

Notice the past tense: “you, once Gentiles”. I consider myself a former Gentile, I grafted into the people of Yehovah. If a Hindu accepts Jesus as the Messiah, he is a former Hindu. If a Muslim believes in Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God (Yehovah), he is a former Muslim. I used to be a Gentile, alienated from God and living in my own selfish rebellion, but now I am adopted into the family of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I am a former Gentile. Hallelujah!

Hamas Flag on Temple Mount

While we were enjoying Passover and Resurrection Day here in the United States, something very sinister was happening in Jerusalem, Israel. The Hamas terrorist entity from Gaza effectively took over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, even flying their Islamic Hamas flag on the Mount itself.

For over a week now, the escalating situation has seen several riots with at least two Israeli police injured. Young Hamas radicals barricaded themselves inside the grey-domed al-Aqsa mosque. Inside the mosque, they were also stockpiling rocks and chunks of broken concrete which they used to attack non-Muslims. They even hurled rocks and molotov cocktails down on Jews praying at the Western Wall. Israel has been impotent to put an end to it “for fear of offending Muslim sensibilities”.

My view is that things will continue to boil up and over. With the failure of Kerry’s peace effort and the ultimate failure of the 20 year Oslo Accords, the Palestinians are preparing a major eruption of violence. In earlier posts I mentioned two scenarios for the “huge event” that may be associated with the tetrad of four blood moon eclipses that began on Passover and continue this Fall on the Feast of Tabernacles. They conclude with one on Passover 2015 and Tabernacles 2015.

Israel became a nation just before a tetrad in 1949-50 and regained Jerusalem in the next one in 1967-68. If you see those events through a camera lens you start with a wide-angle view of the whole country and then a narrower view of just Jerusalem. That suggests that the narrowing focus may now be on the Temple Mount. I offer this for you prayer and consideration as watchmen on the wall.

Egypt Demands Compensation for 10 Plagues

Yes, you read it right. You can’t make this stuff up!

“We demand that the State of Israel pay compensation for the ten plagues that our forefathers in Egypt suffered thousands of years ago as a result of the curses of the Jewish forefathers.” So wrote prominent Egyptian columnist Ahmad Al-Gamal shortly before the Jewish Passover, causing a great stir.”

The columnist suggested that the government in Cairo press charges against Israel: “The Jews caused the land to be stricken with locusts and all agriculture destroyed, turned the Nile red with blood so that one could drink its waters, sent darkness, frogs and killed the firstborn.”

Al-Gamal continued: “During 40 years of wandering in the desert, the Children of Israel enjoyed our goods, which they stole before abandoning us. Some Israeli columnists retorted that Egypt need first compensate Israel for keeping the Jewish forefathers as slaves and for killing all male Jewish babies in the generation prior to the Exodus.” Israel Today Magazine

So they resolved to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yehovah God of Israel at Jerusalem, since they had not done it for a longtime in the prescribed manner. 2 Chronicles 30:5

Red Moons Next

I highly recommend this book.

Prophecy buffs are always trying to figure out the next important fulfillment. With Bible prophecy seen on a daily basis, it has become more than recognizing their occurrence. It is now about connecting the dots. When I was a boy, a prophecy fulfilled was a major wonder. Today, they form a matrix of events and timing. More than ever, we need to be sons and daughters of Issachar:

From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take. 1 Chronicles 12:32

I wrote about the Blood-red Moons in my January 1, 2014 commentary: 2014 Prophetic Signs. Today, we are on the brink of this astronomical season of signs in the heavens. One difference between this rare tetrad of lunar eclipses on Biblical Feast Days of Passover and Tabernacles (starting April 15) is that this time, we know about it ahead of time.

This happened at well documented seasons of monumental dealings of God and Israel. Here is a quick review of some of the amazing seasons when a tetrad and the Feast Days coincided. In each case it was within a couple of years either way of the event.

1. The death of Jesus on the Cross.

2. The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

3. The expulsion of the Jews from Spain and discovery of the New World (which would eventually be a place of refuge for Jews fleeing from persecution in many nations).

4. The establishment of Israel in 1948 after the Holocaust.

5. The return of Jerusalem to Jewish sovereignty. (Jesus had personally prophesied the downfall in 70 A.D. and its domination by Gentiles, until their period of dominance concluded in June, 1967).

“They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.” Luke 21:24

So what is the profound event affecting Israel that corresponds to this 2014-2015 series of lunar eclipses? Let me suggest two scenarios. It could be either, neither or both; but at least we should be asking the Lord to help us “understand the times.”

First Scenario: This season could see the culmination of the Psalm 83 War featuring only the countries immediately bordering Israel (listed by their ancient names in the Psalm). We could also see the Isaiah 17:1 fulfillment of the end of Damascus (Capital of Syria) as an inhabitable city. Also, I believe the Psalm 83 victory will see Israel claiming its Genesis 15 borders from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.

On the same day Yehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates. Genesis 15:18

Second Scenario: Another possibility is a birds-eye view. In 1948, God’s restoration was for the Land, the State of Israel being restored. In 1967, He restored Jerusalem to Israel’s control. If you think of these steps as viewed through a camera, you start with a wide-angle lens, then you narrow the focus from the land to the city. That could be a clue to what to expect in this visitation. Narrow the focus once more and you see clearly a close-up of the Temple Mount. Perhaps a major change is about to happen there. What do you think? Beyond our mere speculations there is one sure word of Yeshua, the Messiah: Look up! Our redemption is close!

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:25-28

Where was this Hamas Photo Taken?

The surprise answer is Jerusalem, last Sunday! It says something about free speech in Israel. But what is going on? The photo of last Sunday’s march at Al Quds University in Jerusalem reveals the bold intent of Hamas to destroy the Jews. This was the second demonstration there in five months.

The Islamic Bloc of Al-Quds University, a student group associated with the Hamas terror group, paraded on campus with masked faces, carrying green banners and cardboard replicas of missiles launched by Islamist terrorists from Gaza into Israel. The Times of Israel

Last November 5, a similar demonstration was also held at Jerusalem’s Al Quds University. These are not harmless students looking for a photo-op, these are serious terrorists threatening the very existence of Israel.

Hamas: We Must Slaughter the Jews is a headline for this story in Israel Today: A Hamas member of the Palestinian parliament said in a recent televised address that Palestinian Muslims must either subdue or massacre the Jews, and that genuine, long-lasting peace with the infidels is not achievable. Speaking on Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV, MP Yunis Al-Astal explained “This indicates that we must massacre them, in order to break them down and prevent them from sowing corruption in the world,” he stated. One would presume this also applies to the “infidel” Christians living in the region.

Arab League Officially Rejects “Jewish State” from Israel National News, Arutz Sheva.

At the conclusion of the two-day Arab League summit in Kuwait on Wednesday, Arab leaders announced their rejection of Israel’s request for recognition as the Jewish state. The final statement of the summit declared its “total rejection of the call to consider Israel a Jewish state,”

Since this is a non-negotiable demand of Israel for its very existence, say “Good bye” to the peace talks. To add insult to injury, Palestinian religious leaders have added to their ban on Jews and Christians praying (or doing anything remotely religious) on the Temple Mount. Now they are saying that even the Western Wall below the Mount is also part of Al Aqsa Mosque, and no Jews should be allowed to pray there either!

If you only read Western media, you may be deluded into thinking there is a chance for peace. You would be dead wrong. The Palestinians are increasing pressure, condemnations and attacks within Israel. It is only going to get worse before it gets better. So, where is hope? Yehovah, God of Israel, has spoken and anointed His Son Jesus, Yeshua ben Yehovah, as King over Israel to rule the entire planet.

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yehovah and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: Yehovah has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. Psalm 2:1-8

Seeing Peace Talks as Adultery

Israel is looking for a “peace partner” to make a covenant with the Palestinians. This would divide the Land God gave to Israel, and grant sovereignty allowing the Palestinian flag to legally fly over Biblical Judea and Samaria. This is adultery. Israel is married to Yehovah God. And He is a jealous God. Jeremiah 3 talks of the historic spiritual adultery of Israel and Judah “playing the harlot” by worshiping idols on the mountains. Entertaining the idea of the “two state solution” is an adulterous temptation. We must pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu to stand strong against the temptation for this adultery.

Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains; Truly, in Yehovah our God is the salvation of Israel. Jeremiah 3:23

Praise God for mothers in Israel who recently appealed to PM Netanyahu:

LIKE A MOTHER FOR HER CHILD, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP ON OUR LAND: A week-long vigil in front of the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem, calling for Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, wound to a close on Sunday. Dozens of mothers were present at the vigil tent from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily in a strong showing of support. Nadia Matar, co-director of Women in Green which organized the event, emphasized the rally’s message to PM Netanyahu. “We know there is a lot of international pressure and pressure from the left against you,” said Matar to Netanyahu, “but we are here to remind you that the land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel, and there exists a plan that you should implement: the application of Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.” In addition to the many MKs, rabbis and other public figures who showed up to express support for the vigil, a special guest arrived at the tent – a bride, Efrat Leshem, who showed up on her wedding day. Leshem said at the vigil “before I build my private home, I must also do something for my nation and for my land.” Summarizing the reason why so many mothers came out to support the event, Matar stated “in the same way a mother would never give up on a child that is the same way we the people of Israel will not give up on the land of Israel.” (Arutz-7 Click for video)

Zealous for Jerusalem

Then the angel said to me, “Shout this message for all to hear: ‘This is what Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies says: My love for Jerusalem and Mount Zion is passionate and strong. Zechariah 1:14 NLT

When the Lord speaks to me from three different sources, I pay attention. This week I shared this verse in our home group. After seeing the verse in Barry Segal’s newsletter from Israel, the Holy Spirit stirred my heart. The next day it came to me from a local friend in an American newsletter.

Yehovah is fully emotional. In addition to all of His other characteristics and power and love, God is emotional. He is passionate. Let that sink in. He has love. He has anger. He feels grief for sinful man. And profoundly, in this verse, He is zealous! What is so important to Him that stirs his passion to jealousy?

So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yehovah of hosts: “I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped—but with evil intent. ‘Therefore thus says Yehovah: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says Yehovah of hosts, “And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yehovah of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; Yehovah will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.” ’ ” Zechariah 1:14-6 NKJV

The Hebrew word qin’ah means ardour, zeal, jealousy. I represent myself as a voice of Christian Zionists. This is what I mean. I have ardour/love for Jerusalem, the city of God. I have zeal to see His purpose restored in Zion. And I am jealous for her because of the advance of the nations against Jerusalem. I hope my zeal is an extension of His love. Most of all, I believe His Son Jesus/Yeshua is the Heavenly bridegroom coming to claim His bride. He will be welcomed by all who truly believe in the Messiah of Israel. We will all say as one:

Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yehovah! We have blessed you from the house of Yehovah. Psalm 118:26

Pray for Rain!

Israel sees driest January on record Capital experiences lowest rainfall in 150 years; only 64% of annual winter average has fallen so far across the country (The Times of Israel)

We have regularly emphasized God’s two Israel prayer requests.

1. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
May they prosper who love you. Psalm 122:6

2. Pray for rain in the time of latter rain. Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Today I am issuing an emergency prayer alert, because of the above report. Let us all agree together for the winter rains to return. I was so excited for the great snowfall in Jerusalem in December that I slacked off on my prayers for rain. Let’s get back to prayer!

Finally, we should also pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu. He is under unprecedented pressure to capitulate to the Kerry Framework Peace Plan that I wrote about last Saturday. Please pray for him to hear from God and stand firm. Otherwise, January’s record dryness could lead to a severe drought. As I reported about former PM Ariel Sharon, not even the Prime Minister of Israel is above God’s judgments. This is especially true of dividing the land!

2014 Prophetic Signs

This is a monumental year of Bible prophecy fulfillment. Fasten your seat belt for a fast and bumpy ride. I base my analysis on the exact science of the rare tetrad of blood-red moons which occur on Passover this year and 2015 and during the Feast of Tabernacles this Fall and in 2015. The “signs in the heavens” prediction declared by Jesus Himself. I submit that we will see more of these physically fulfilled in 2014 than any year since Jesus spoke His prophecy. There are five clear parts to this text, four signs for unbelievers and one instruction to believers.

1. Signs in the heavens: This refers to the extraordinary blood-red moons, eclipses as well as comets and meteorites in the next two years.

2. Perplexing distress of nations: The futility of the “peace talks” with Israel, Iran, Syria and several others in the Muslim East and in Africa is exposed. We continue to see the precise build-up to the Psalm 83 War climax as events unfold in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

3. Seas and waves roaring: This suggests a season of gigantic storms and tsunamis.

4. Hearts failing from fear: This the human reaction to a deep visceral terror, not of man, but of God. Seeing all these signs makes people “expect” things to get much worse. Humanity without faith in Yehovah God and His Son Jesus, will see much gloom and doom. However, as I have said many times, we do not believe in doom and gloom, but gloom and va-voom! Yes, the coming events are scary, but there is a word for believers.

5. Lift up your head: When a believer views the same signs, he is not to cast down his gaze. Jesus said that observing these terrible events is exactly the time to look up, lift your head and stand, secure in the certain redemption signaled by those very indicators.

I pray favor and blessing for you and your family in this New Year. May you find you faith and security in the only One who can guarantee it. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Unprecedented Snow in Jerusalem: Over 3 Feet!

It is time to pray. This storm has stranded thousands of people. Jerusalem has already had over a foot with two more expected tonight. They are not prepared for the unexpectedly extreme conditions. As I write this, it is sundown Friday there. The worst is yet to come. Pray!

Praise Yehovah, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest wheat. He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly. He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes; He casts out His hail like morsels; Who can stand before His cold? Finally, there is a prophetic context to the fact that John Kerry is presently in Jerusalem imposing the US Administrations will. It is the eleventh time this year. Amazingly, there is a prophetic pronouncement in the two preceding verses to the above quote that gives context. It is not man who brings peace to Jerusalem, it is Yehovah God! Jesus is the Prince of Peace, Yeshua Sar Shalom!

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. Yehovah takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. Psalm 147:10-11

Like a Bird Protecting its Nest

Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies will hover over Jerusalem and protect it like a bird protecting its nest. He will defend and save the city; he will pass over it and rescue it. Isaiah 31:5 NLT

What an amazing picture of God’s love and protection of Jerusalem! In these times of great peril for Israel’s very existence, this is a wonderfully comforting promise. It speaks of the faithfulness of the God of Israel to watch over His people. We can pray for the peace of Jerusalem with real faith when we have such an unconditional covenant. This is not an isolated verse out of context, because Jesus Himself echoed the same heart for Jerusalem when they refused Him:

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Matthew 23:37 KJV

Here is the New King James version of the same Isaiah verse. It gives a little different slant, possibly bringing to mind the Israel Air Force as a means of God’s protection over Jerusalem. Either way, God is totally committed to protecting Israel.

Like birds flying about, so will Yehovah of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it. Isaiah 31:5 NKJV

If Jerusalem means so much to God and is so much on His mind, we must be much more mindful ourselves of all that threatens the holy city where Yehovah placed His name.

More Israel Good News

But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. The Israelis Are At It Again!

1. Scientists in Israel found that the brackish water, drilled from underground desert aquifers hundreds of feet deep, could be used to raise warm-water fish. The geothermal water, less than one-tenth as saline as sea water, free of pollutants, and a toasty 98 degrees on average, proves an ideal environment..

2. Israeli-developed designer-eyeglasses, promise mobile phone and iPod users, a personalized, high-tech video display. Available to US consumers next year, Lumus-Optical’s lightweight and fashionable video eyeglasses, feature a large transparent screen, floating in front of the viewer’s face that projects their choice of movie, TV show, or video game.

3. When Stephen Hawkings recently visited Israel , he shared his wisdom with scientists, students, and even the Prime Minister. But the world’s most renowned victim of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig’s disease, also learned something, due to the Israeli Association for ALS’ advanced work in both embryonic and adult stem cell research, as well as its proven track record with neurodegenerative diseases. The Israeli research community is well on its way to finding a treatment for this fatal disease, which affects 30,000 Americans.

4. Israeli start -up, Veterix, has developed an innovative new electronic capsule that sits in the stomach of a cow, sheep, or goat, sending out real-time information on the health of the herd, to the farmer via email or cell phone. The e-capsule, which also sends out alerts if animals are distressed, injured, or lost is now being tested on a herd of cows, in the hopes that the device will lead to tastier and healthier meat and milk supplies.

5. The millions of Skype users worldwide will soon have access to the newly developed KishKish lie-detector. This free Internet service, based on voice stress analysis (a technique, commonly used in criminal investigations) will be able to measure just how truthful that person on the other end of the line, really is.

6. Beating cardiac tissue has been created in a lab from human embryonic stem cells by researchers at the Rappaport Medical Faculty and the Technion – Israeli institute of Technology ‘s biomedical Engineering facility. The work of Dr. Shulamit Levenberg and Prof. Lior Gepstein, has also led to the creation of tiny blood vessels within the tissue, making possible its implantation in a human heart.

7. Israel’s Magal Security Systems, is a worldwide leader in computerized security systems, with products used in more than 70 countries around the world, protecting anything from national borders, to nuclear facilities, refineries, and airports. The company’s latest Product, DreamBox, a state-of-the-art security system that includes Intelligent video, audio and sensor management, is now being used by a major water authority on the US east coast to safeguard the utility’s sites.

8. It is common knowledge that dogs have better night vision than humans and a vastly superior sense of smell and hearing. Israel ‘s Bio-Sense Technologies recently delved further and electronically analyzed 350 different barks. Finding that dogs of all breeds and sizes, bark the same alarm when they sense a threat, the firm has designed the dog bark-reader, a sensor that can pick up a dog’s alarm bark, and alert the human operators. This is just one of a batch of innovative security systems to emerge from Israel which Forbes calls ‘the go-to country for anti-terrorism technologies.’

9. Israeli company, BioControl Medical, sold its first electrical stimulator to treat urinary incontinence to a US company for $50 Million. Now, it is working on CardioFit, which uses electrical nerve stimulation to treat congestive heart failure. With nearly five million Americans presently affected by heart failure, and more than 400,000 new cases diagnosed yearly, the CardioFit is already generating a great deal of excitement as the first device with the potential to halt this deadly disease.

10. One year after Norway’s Socialist Left Party launched its Boycott Israel campaign, the importing of Israeli goods has increased by 15%, the strongest increase in many years, statistics Norway reports. (author unknown)

Really Good Israel News

“So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, Yehovah, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, Yehovah, have spoken it, and I will do it.” Ezekiel 36:35-36

ISRAEL – THE FUTURE

a) Gas – Israel’s recent discovery of mega gas fields titled Tamar and Leviathan are located off the Israeli coast from Haifa. These massive discoveries will soon transform Israel as they will adequately look after Israel’s domestic needs forever and thereafter to supply foreign markets. A number of countries are pursuing involvement in these finds. Among them are Russia, China, Europe and South Korea. Putin was in Israel two months ago pursuing a contractual relationship with Israel on its gas development projects. Nothing has been signed yet.

Tamar is came online sometime in 2013 and Leviathan to follow in early 2014.

Additional target areas are being explored all the way down the Mediterranean coast of Israel.

The likelihood is that a pipeline from the gas discovery area will be built to Cyprus and on to Greece. This will help Greece with some of its financial troubles. It is expected there will be a plant built to liquefy the gas at the Greek end of the underwater pipeline.

b) Oil – geologists have recently completed a large mapping of most of southern Israel and preliminary findings indicate there are vast amounts of oil trapped in rock layers under about 15% of the State of Israel. This shale oil is technically difficult to extract but Israel and the companies involved are becoming very familiar with the methodology to extract this oil called ‘fracking’. Retired Canadian experts in this system are now resident in Israel working on this huge project.

The World Energy Council and Israel Energy Initiatives have completed a detailed study and presented it to the government on their estimates of Israel’s shale oil potential. They estimate that Israel’s shale reserves could contain as much as 250 billion barrels of potentially recoverable oil.

This would be putting Israel on a par with Saudi Arabia in terms of its oil reserves!

Israeli planners believe that if the gas and oil finds reach the levels that the potential indicates, Israel’s current group of allies, trading partners and opponents could drastically change. Israel’s geo-political standing in the world will also change. It’s amazing what friends can be made when you have oil and gas to export!

MED-RED RAILWAY – China is in very serious negotiation (contracts have been exchanged) – the Chinese will build and finance most of a high speed railway from Eilat to Ashdod. This would allow tankers and freighters to avoid the Suez Canal as well as cut the time frame from canal usage in half, by using the railway. This is a huge development for Israel as it will open up the Negev , which was always the dream of David Ben Gurion. It would not be surprising that a major announcement on this development with all its details should be expected by mid 2013.

CHINESE INVESTMENT IN ISRAEL

The Chinese Government, while they are negotiating the Med-Red Railway, have made it clear to Israel that they have a multi-billion dollar fund that they would put to use, to fund Israeli hi-tech start-ups and companies needing mezzanine financing. The Israeli Government is very amenable to this opportunity, and the Chinese have already agreed to the stringent conditions that Israel wants to apply on any of the investments. Look for an announcement on this in 2013.

You should be aware that the Israeli Government and various Agrarian companies are extremely busy today in China – assisting the Chinese with their need to get much more production out of their land, while following the Israeli system of water economy. Further, the Chinese are learning every possible method Israel has on how to maximize milk production, and other elements necessary for the Chinese to raise the level of feeding their huge population. This relationship is being very well received by the Chinese and its government.

ALIYAH – Numerous European countries are seeing their Jewish populations diminishing because of a resurgence of anti-Semitism and violence against their Jewish communities. Islam is on the march in many of the European countries. In particular, sizable numbers of French, British and smaller numbers of Jews from other EU countries have left or are in the process of going to Israel. The Jewish Agency for Israel is planning for a significant aliyah to continue as well as increase over time with Jews leaving Ukraine and Russia.

Again the planning of the Jewish Agency indicates that Ben Gurion’s dream of large communities in the Negev is now nearer to realization than ever before. Hi-tech companies are being offered significant inducements by the government to establish their campuses and their R&D facilities in communities being formed in the Negev. Currently the hi-tech campuses are extremely crowded in an area south of Tel Aviv. Bear in mind that nothing is far in Israel.

CONCLUSION

Assuming all of the things described previously like oil, gas, Chinese investment, Med-Red Railway, as well as things still to be developed, the future for Israel is extremely bright.

The IDF, the IAF, the MOSSAD, the SHIN-BET, the AMAN, are amongst the best of their kind in the world and will do their utmost to safeguard the State of Israel and the Jewish people wherever they are to be found. (author unknown)

Messiah Comes on What Day or Hour?

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Matthew 24:34-36

Yom Kippur and the coming of the Messiah are closely related, more than you know.

But first, did you hear the one about the long-awaited Messiah finally arriving in Jerusalem? The Mayor of Jerusalem goes out to meet him and welcomes him to Jerusalem. But the mayor says: “I just have one question. Is this your first or second visit?”

Jews believe he has not come yet. But Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah who came 2,000 years ago to become the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world to all who receive Him, especially the Jews.

So what does Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, have to do with the coming? Jesus in the above quote from Matthew 24 was saying exactly when He would come. Most Christians believe He was obscuring the timing with His answer. On the contrary, He actually gave a broad hint of the timing. The phrase “no man knows the day or hour” was almost a cliché’ in Jesus’ day. It was a common expression among the Jews of that day referring to the timing of the Fall Feasts of Yehovah. These were Trumpets, Yom Kippur and Tabernacles. (For my teaching on the Feasts, please listen to my radio interview for ten minutes on each of the seven Feasts.)

Present day Rabbinic Judaism uses a fixed calendar with arbitrary conditions that actually causes it to miss the Biblical timing. This year it is Friday night and Saturday September 13-14. However, the Biblical calculation was far easier. Yom Teruah or Trumpets, begins on the first sighting of the new moon in the seventh month. This year that was observed in Jerusalem on the evening of 9/7, which makes Yom Kippur (the tenth day from the sighting) on Sept 16-17. (Using the Biblical method to figure it is a characteristic of Karaite (Bible believing) Jews. Here is a link to Nehemiah Gordon, a leading Karaite).

So what? Well, I believe Jesus was telling His disciples He would come during the Fall Feasts.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52

There are five elements that make the actual day or hour unknowable.

1. The confusion caused by the arbitrary Rabbinic calendar.

2. The actual day of sighting the new moon could vary by weather conditions, cloud cover, etc.

3. Even the hour could vary if the evening started cloudy early and cleared up later, for example.

4. The “last trumpet” could refer to the last shofar during Yom Teruah (trumpets) beginning the Fall feast.

5. Or, the “last trumpet” could refer to the trumpet sounded at the end of Yom Kippur.

Therefore, even though the day or hour is unknown, I believe Jesus was speaking clearing to His disciples that He would come during the first ten days of the Fall Feasts, which then leads to Tabernacles where God will live with men and celebrate the great Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

May it be this year, Yeshua ben Yehovah – Jesus Son of God – Yeshua haMashiach – Jesus the Messiah!

Temple Mount Trauma

While the world’s eyes are on Syria, trouble is brewing at Jerusalem’s holy Temple Mount. Palestinian President Abbas is engaged in “peace talks” while his own Fatah party is calling for a Temple Mount war.

Fatah Declares War over Temple Mount: ‘Green Light’ on Terror: While Fatah head Abbas talks to Israel, Fatah’s armed wing declares war over Jewish visits to the Temple Mount. The Brigade issued a statement Tuesday announcing that it would give the “green light” to terrorist attacks targeting Israelis beginning on Friday. The reason given for the planned resumption of open hostilities was Jewish visits to the Temple Mount, which the group termed, “The invasion of the compound by hordes of settlers, and the harm to [Muslim] worshipers, with no intervention from the international community.”

Urgent Update 9-11-13 Muslim Mufti of Jerusalem calls for “Muslims to come out en masse to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and “protect” it from “the occupation.” Mufti of Jerusalem: Al-Aqsa is in Danger

Last week, a riot broke out on the Mount with Israeli Police needed to disperse the rock throwers. It was all about Muslims objecting to Jews praying on the holy site. A steady effort has been underway for years to deny any Jewish presence or claim to the area, including denying that there ever was a Temple there in history.

August saw incitement to violence with this bogus claim broadcast on official PA TV:

PA Libel: Israel Using Chemicals to Erode Al-Aqsa: A news story on PA TV accused Israel of using chemicals to erode the foundations of Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to cause it to collapse.

In June, PA President Abbas proclaimed these words of incitement: PA Chairman accuses Israel of trying to “destroy” the Al-Aqsa Mosque by allowing Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Abbas

In spite of the Arab Spring in Syria, Egypt and elsewhere, the predetermined plan is a Muslim confederacy attacking Israel, Jerusalem and especially the Temple Mount in exact conformity to the Psalm 83 War prophecy. They hate Yehovah, the God of Israel and are attempting to erase the name of Israel from remembrance.

They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You. Psalm 83: 4-5

Israel’s Problem with Peace

Hamas set the value of one Israeli

Last Monday, as Israel was making an arrest of a terrorist suspect in an Arab town north of Jerusalem, 1,500 people came out of nowhere and attacked the Israeli police. It was 5 am. Three Palestinians died in the riot.

The suspect was released a month ago as Israel’s gesture to prove they want peace. While the peace talks continue, the facts on the ground are contradictory. Why does Israel have to endure this charade? This year has seen an increase of West Bank terrorism and also right in Jerusalem.

In addition, one of the rioters killed was released in the 2011 Gilad Shalit deal when Israel traded 1,000 terrorist prisoners for one Israeli.

Finally, adding insult to injury, an Arab Minister of Knesset had the nerve to condemn Israel.

Mob Attack on Soldiers was ‘Legitimate Self-Defense’: Arab-Israeli MK says PA mob was right to attack soldiers: “The occupation soldiers commit war crimes.”

He is free citizen of Israel (one of 1.5 million) and an elected member of Israel’s Knesset (Parliament). How can Israel be such an open democracy and yet be excoriated by the world? How can they solve the peace problem? The answer is simple. Peace will only come from Yehovah, God of Israel. It will happen when the Messiah comes. In the meantime, Israel walks the tightrope of public opinion and her own security and very existence.

In that day Yehovah will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Yehovah before them. Zechariah 12:8

No Jews in Palestine

ABBAS: THERE WILL BE NO ISRAELIS IN ‘PALESTINE’: “In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli – civilian or soldier – on our lands,” Abbas told reporters in Cairo on Monday. The statement was a difficult one for Israelis to swallow, especially since one of Abbas’ peace demands is that Israel will provide thousands more work permits to Palestinian laborers and open its gates to settlement by millions of so-called “Palestinian refugees.” But that the Palestinians expect their future state to be Judenrein – cleansed of Jews – was never in doubt. Even now, Jews are not permitted to live inside the PA-controlled territory, and the sale of land to Jews is punishable by death. Abbas also told Cairo journalists, “East Jerusalem will be the capital of the Palestinian state.” Observers note that while the future “Palestine” in the PA head’s vision is apparently to be “Judenrein” (“Jew-free” in the German term employed by the Nazis) Israel will, of course, remain anything but “Arabrein.” Arabs make up about 20% of the Jewish state, enjoy full equal rights and regularly elect representatives to the Knesset who openly despise the state in whose parliament they serve, support terrorists and issue calls to their fellow Arabs to rise up against the Jewish state. Prophetic or Pathetic?

Today’s headline in Egypt reads: At least 51 killed in Egypt as Islamists urge defiance.

How are we to pray about the coup that overthrew democratically elected President Morsi? We certainly have mixed feelings. He was quickly imposing Sharia law on all Egyptians and unleashed a greater permissiveness for attacking Coptic Christians. Yet, he was elected in Egypt’s first free election in modern history.

The answer to my question is not to reason out a position. We have a certain simple clarity: Pray God’s will. I don’t mean pray a prayer that says: “God, I pray that your will be done.” Rather, we must learn what His will actually is about Egypt, and then agree with God. This brings me to my title.

Prophetic or Pathetic? In January 1990, it was my privilege to attend the International Prophetic Intercessors Conference in Jerusalem. Until then, even though I was a pastor of a healthy church, I did not really like intercessors all that much. They seemed somewhat pathetic to me. Too often the tone of their prayers was a whiny sort of begging. It was as if their faith required demonstration of their unworthiness to dare ask God for help. Or as one Scripture suggests, that they would be heard for their abundance of words.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Matthew 6:7

But I got a completely different perspective from a message by Lance Lambert at that 1990 Jerusalem conference. So what is the basis of a believer’s intercession? Pray the Bible! It is simply to find out what God intends to do and then agree with it in prayer. For example, I have led a weekly meeting for about ten years called The Issachar Forum: A Prophetic Think Tank. Our goal is to equip believers to pray into God’s will with confidence, because we know His intentions. We stand on this verse.

From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take. 1 Chronicles 12:32 NLT

We desire to be sons and daughters of Issachar who “understand the times” and know what God wants. Think about it. Sometimes you have prayed without a clue. How much more authority do you have when you are confident of God’s revealed purpose?

Therefore, when we pray about Egypt at this critical time, we open our Bibles to Isaiah 19 and conform our prayers into agreement with this amazing “Arab Spring” chapter. Political implications are irrelevant. I commented on this last week, and also gave an eight step outline of the “Arab Spring” prophecy in my May 3, 2013 commentary: Yehovah Rides Into Egypt.

The surest way to get our prayers answered is to pray in agreement with what Yehovah God has already revealed. Amen!

Egypt in Free Falll

Today’s blaring headline in The Times of Israel:

Two dead, including US citizen, in clashes across Egypt: Israeli analyst: Egypt is in a free fall; 70 people injured, protesters storm 3 Muslim Brotherhood offices, torch ruling party headquarters in Alexandria. Two people are dead and over 70 people injured across Egypt Friday in clashes between supporters and opponents of the country’s Islamist president.

The article goes on to quote Israel’s Channel 2 News “Egypt is in a free fall,” commented Channel 2′s Arab affairs analyst Ehud Ya’ari Friday evening.”

And this is only Friday night. The big anti-government protests are scheduled for Sunday, the first anniversary of Mohammed Morsi, Egypt’s President from the ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood. There are calls for millions of Egyptians to protest all over the country. Will this be a reversal of the Arab Spring revolution? No, it will not. My opinion is based on Isaiah 19, which I call the Arab Spring prophecy. I have written much about it already. Here is a link to the eight-step timeline in my May 8, 2013 commentary. That blog also has links to my previous posts on the same subject.

All of this is clarified by simply reading Isaiah 19. Please read it prayerfully, as a watchman on the wall. Here are just the first four verses.

The burden against Egypt.

Behold, Yehovah rides on a swift cloud,

And will come into Egypt;

The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence,

And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

“I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;

Everyone will fight against his brother,

And everyone against his neighbor,

City against city, kingdom against kingdom.

The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;

I will destroy their counsel,

And they will consult the idols and the charmers,

The mediums and the sorcerers.

And the Egyptians I will give

Into the hand of a cruel master,

And a fierce king will rule over them,”

Says the Lord, Yehovah of hosts. Isaiah 19:1-4

Where is Israel?

Look carefully at the picture. Where is Israel? This is a map of “Palestine”. There is no Israel on this map. This photo, snapped at a United Nations event in Lebanon on May 3, 2013 exposes the hypocrisy of the United Nations.

At the official launch of two German-funded UNRWA projects in southern Lebanon, Director of UNRWA Affairs in Lebanon, Ann Dismorr, posed with a map that erases the State of Israel and presents all of it as “Palestine.” The map includes both the Palestinian Authority areas as well as all of Israel. Above the map is the Palestinian flag and the inscription “Arab Palestine.” The text at the bottom of the map also says “Palestine.” The neighboring countries Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon are all named on the map as is the Mediterranean Sea. Israel is not mentioned or designated anywhere. Palwatch.org(This story was also carried on theBlaze.com).

There are some who would like to abolish UNRWA, but it is not likely with the UN dominated by 57 Islamic nations in the General Assembly. The UN has two relief committees, one for the Palestinians and one for all the rest of the refugees in the whole world. The deck is stacked against Israel. So, it is up to supporters of Israel to continue to speak up for her right to exist.

Since 1950, US taxpayers have provided four billion dollars for the United Nations Relief and Works. Reports from the Global Research in International Affairs have disclosed that UNRWA actually helps promotes terrorism and holds Palestinians back from building their lives. It charged UNRWA schools with being hotbeds of anti-American, and antisemitic indoctrination and recruiting offices for terrorist groups. The above article is simply additional evidence to support such claims. Pray for this organization to be further exposed with drastic declines in funding. Jerusalem News Network

Skull Hill – May 2013 Report

And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. Mark 15:22

The “Place of a Skull” in this verse is a specific location in Jerusalem which can still be seen today. I serve as Chairman of the Board of the Golgotha Foundation which seeks to preserve the site for Christian and archeological tourism. Golgotha is a Hebrew word meaning “Place of a Skull.” The practical fact is that the building of a new Muslim mosque, minarets and a cemetery are encroaching on the site, threatening to undermine, erode and eventually destroy the amazing cliff face.

We are excited to announce our May 2013 Update Report is now posted on the above Menu tab: Golgotha. Please review the new material and stand with us. We hope to hear any day now of our accepted application to the World Monuments Fund which will put Golgotha “on the map” so to speak.

Also, please pray for this project that the world will learn the geography of the historical death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a great confirmation of Christian faith and the Biblical record. Located in Jerusalem right next to the Garden Tomb, it precisely fits the Biblical details not only of the crucifixion, but also the resurrection.

Sir Isaac Newton Prophecy

About the time of the end,
a body of men will be raised up
who will turn their attention to the prophecies,
and insist upon their literal interpretation,

This quote was sent as an encouragement to me, a confirmation of the direction of my Biblical interpretation. Sunday night I shared it with our Issachar Forum: A Prophetic Think Tank group in Wake Forest, NC. I told everyone there that it applies to them also. You who are regularly reading my Elisha Vision Commentary are also in the loop. We are all seeing the literal fulfillment of Bible prophecy on a daily basis.

A common practice among prophecy buffs is to try to “pigeon-hole” other teachers’ theological positions. I resist such forced identity, but can now give a definitive description of mine, even if slightly tongue in cheek.

I am an histori-futuri-literalist. I believe much prophecy has been fulfilled, much remains to be fulfilled soon, and I take the Bible literally. If you are not familiar with that category, it is because I made it up. It is sort of like a favorite quote from David Wilkerson when asked what he believed about the rapture and tribulation: I believe in the “you can’t lose” tribulation, because if you are with Jesus, you can’t lose!

I subscribe to the counsel: If you can possible take a Bible verse literally, do so. Earl Waterman, Dalton Mountain, New Hampshire.

So, as we continue on this exhilarating path to the Messiah’s arrival, we do so with open eyes, open minds, and open Bibles.

Yehovah Reveals Jerusalem’s Future

This Zechariah text is reverberating in my spirit. Let it soak in and percolate in your spirit.

This message concerning the fate of Israel came from Yehovah: “This message is from Yehovah, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves.

“On that day,” says Yehovah, “I will cause every horse to panic and every rider to lose his nerve. I will watch over the people of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of their enemies. And the clans of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The people of Jerusalem have found strength in Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies, their God.’ Zechariah 12:1-5 NLT (Check out the other eight verses in the chapter.)

A Prophetic Month of March

One locust is a cute little grasshopper, when a locust cloud blocks out the sun and “Marches” across the land, you have a plague of Biblical proportions. It is happening, now, in Egypt. It fits with the Isaiah 19 “Arab Spring” judgements of God on Egypt. We are now living in prophecy fulfilled from day-to-day and month to month right before our eyes.

This month has the potential of epic events making history. Here is my view of what to watch for in March 2013.

1. Locust plague in Egypt.

2. Israeli Election: Prime Minister Netanyahu has two weeks to form the coalition to govern Israel.

3. The new Pope for 1.2 billion Roman Catholics will be chosen. Peter the Roman is now the interim Head of Vatican City.

4. President Obama will visit Israel March 20 (unless there is no new government by then).

5. Passover will completely dominate Israel’s schedule from March 25 to April 1. Christians will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on March 31.

Then throw into the mix the Iranian nuclear threat and Israel’s existential decision. Wow, what a month! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Good News from Israel

Since so many of my posts are about wars and rumors of wars, I thought it would be good to share some good news from Israel. God said He would bless and favor Israel and the nations would benefit. We are living in the day of Yehovah’s restoration of Israel and Jerusalem as “a praise in the whole earth.” This favor will cause the nations to see that God is with Israel.

And it shall come to pass that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, let your hands be strong. Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek Yehovah of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before Yehovah. Zechariah 8:13

Thus says Yehovah of hosts: “In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” Zechariah 8:22-23

1. It now appears that Prime Minister Netanyahu will be able to form the coalition he needs to form the new government (after some serious doubts during the negotiations).

2. PM Netanyahu is already holding weekly Bible studies in his home and his office, but now the new Knesset has started weekly Bible sessions with 30 members attending the first along with multiple staff people joining. There is a new wind (of the Holy Spirit) blowing in Israel. Hallelujah!

3. Israel develops the next generation operating room, right out of Star Trek! Removes internal tumors and more without cutting the body. Must watch this video.

4. Today Israel successfully tested it Arrow 3 anti-missile missile. It is the most advanced system in the world.

5. God’s much repeated Biblical strategy appears once again in modern Israel. Israel’s enemies turn on one another.

Now when they began to sing and to praise, Yehovah set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped. 2 Chronicles 20:22-24

Be Silent Before Yehovah, All Humanity

YEHOVAH’S SPRING!

All eyes are on Israel and the Mideast. The cauldron is bubbling and boiling with strategies from the pit of hell. We are living in the day when the prophetic reality is now upon us. All hell is breaking loose, literally. Yet it is at this time that Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies is springing into action from His holy dwelling. If you thought the Arab Spring was something, wait till you see Yehovah God in action. It is all about Israel, the apple of His eye. Israel is poked by just about every other nation and God takes it personally. He told the prophet Zechariah over 2,500 years ago exactly what would occur.

After a period of glory, Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies sent me against the nations who plundered you. For he said, “Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession. I will raise my fist to crush them, and their own slaves will plunder them.” Then you will know that Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies has sent me.

Yehovah says, “Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you. Many nations will join themselves to Yehovah on that day, and they, too, will be my people. I will live among you, and you will know that Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies sent me to you. The land of Judah will be Yehovah’s special possession in the holy land, and he will once again choose Jerusalem to be his own city.Be silent before Yehovah, all humanity, for he is springing into action from his holy dwelling.” Zechariah 2:8-13

I think we could call it Yehovah’s Spring. Fasten your seat belts, prepare for turbulence. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Let us join ourselves to Yehovah in this day! He has opened the Way, through His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah.

Year of the Snake

The Chinese New Year which begins February 10 is the Year of the Snake. Previous “years of the snake” saw the US stock market crash of 1929, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, the Chinese 1989 crushing of the Tiananmen Square pro-democracy protests and the 9/11/2001 World Trade Center attack in New York City. Do I have your attention?

Let me be clear at the outset. I do not believe in astrology. The Bible is quite clear on the subject.

And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? Leviticus 19:31

And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. Leviticus 20:6

Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of Yehovah, to provoke Him to anger. 2 Kings 21:6

The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers. Isaiah 19:3

Additionally, Jesus explicitly defined Satan’s purpose to steal, kill and destroy. The devil is at his tasks every year. This year will see terrible events, not because of a plethora of occult false prophesies, but in the Biblical timing of the end of the age.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Jesus goes on to explain that we are not at the mercy of the devil at all, but that if we walk with Jesus we will be over-comers!

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. 1 John 5:4

Therefore, we will not live in fear, but faith! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Free from God

Yesterday we had an amazing Bible class at Covenant International Church. We have been studying Jeremiah and the Holy Spirit came upon us in power over one profound verse. Even though I was the teacher, I was speechless for over a minute, with tears, in the presence of our holy God, Yehovah. The class likewise experienced the weight of His glory.

We were looking at the reaction of Judah’s King Zedekiah, to Jeremiah’s prophecy of Jerusalem’s destruction and exile to Babylon. The King proclaimed liberty for all the slaves and they even came together in the temple making a covenant. All the people agreed and released their slaves. However, they soon reversed course and took their slaves back.

Therefore Yehovah released them from Himself!

Therefore thus says Yehovah: “You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and every one to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,” says Yehovah–“to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.” Jeremiah 34:17

The magnitude of this settled on the class in such a sober, holy revelation that it took our breath away. God gave them liberty from Himself! Since they found it objectionable to follow His ways, He released them from His mercy, His protection, His provision and His peace. He set them free to experience the sword, pestilence, famine and trouble! This is not the kind of liberty we usually think of with our Heavenly Father. Do you want to be free from God? Do you choose the “liberty” to do as you please in sin and disobedience? Or, do you choose the constraints of the narrow path of His righteousness through Christ Jesus, Messiah Yeshua?

For many years I have posed a question about justice and mercy. Given that the Bible is clear that we have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God, and that we deserve death, here is my question to you. Do you demand that God gives you justice, that is, that God gives you exactly what you deserve? Or do you cry out from your heart for grace and mercy? I see this similar question, of liberty from walking with God, as a fool’s bargain. I don’t want it, I choose to be His servant: willingly, lovingly, eternally bound to Him.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17

This last season of history is presenting these same choices to men and nations. I grieve when it seems that our beloved USA chooses liberty from God over His honor and glory. The choice offered by God is also for Israel and for every nation. God help us. Still, as for me and my house….

And if it seems evil to you to serve Yehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve Yehovah. Joshua 24:15

Let the priests, who minister to Yehovah, weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Yehovah, and do not give Your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, “Where is their God?” Joel 2:17

The “New Pharaoh” Principle

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. Exodus 1:8

During Israel’s 400 years in Egypt they transitioned from great favor under Joseph as Pharaoh’s second in command. Eventually their expanding population threatened a new Pharaoh and he made them slaves. This is a prophetic picture of modern Israel’s circumstances. I call it the “New Pharaoh” principle.

Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted this text on New Year’s Day during his weekly Bible study. It came up in the regular Torah portion Bible reading for Jews everywhere. I was impressed with his insight into the prophetic application. He saw the threat from Egypt’s Morsi who replaced Mubarak; and he applied it also to the Hamas threat over the West Bank.

In this week’s Torah portion it is written, “Now there arose a new king over Egypt who knew not Joseph.” That’s also happening today,” he said from his Jerusalem residence, referring to the Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi, who replaced Hosni Mubarak as Egypt’s leader last year. Everyone knows that Hamas could take over the Palestinian Authority. Benjamin Netanyahu 1-1-13

It is so wonderful to hear a head of state not merely use Scripture for image, but as the support for his political position. Hamas really is a threat to take over the Palestinian “state” in the West Bank. The Prime Minister continued:

As opposed to the voices that I have heard recently urging me to run forward, make concessions, withdraw [from the West Bank], I think that the diplomatic process must be managed responsibly and sagaciously and not in undue haste. Otherwise a third base for Iranian terrorism will arise here, in the heart of the country. Peace can be achieved only when security is assured. (ibid)

This principle has applied several times already in the so-called peace process. When Israel withdrew from Lebanon, Hezbollah took over control. When Israel withdrew from Gaza, the Palestinian Authority was soon overthrown by Hamas. The same scenario has now played out in Egypt. and is certain to result in Syria and even Jordan before we are through.

Therefore, Netanyahu is wise to consider possible future changes when “negotiating” with Abbas. The corrupt PA will be replaced by Hamas in a short time. There is a growing move in Israel to simply annex Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). A Jerusalem conference is considering this concept this week.

Please keep the “New Pharaoh” principle in mind as you pray for Israel and real peace for Jerusalem.

Will Israel Stand Alone?

Monday, I explained that the enemies of Israel in reality hate God. They can’t reach Heaven so they attack His Chosen Ones. There is a primary evil spirit loose on the earth of satan himself, who would overthrow the God of Heaven. This anti-Christ anti-Messiah spirit takes form as anti-Jew, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic and anti-life. It is the same violent principality that was judged by Yehovah in the great flood of Noah’s day. The Hebrew word for violence in the flood account is “hamas“. Used many times in the Bible, it is no coincidence that the rulers of Gaza chose that name. Yet, the spirit of hamas indwells all of Israel’s enemies.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Genesis 6:11-13

Jesus and Mary as Weapons

‘Jesus and Mary have become weapons in hands of Israel-haters’

This is the headline in the Israel Today Magazine (12-23-12). Reading this quote (below) from the writer, Yossi Aloni, highlights a subject I have been planning to write about. It is known by several names: anti-Semitism, anti-Jew, and anti-Israel. By any name it has been around for thousands of years, but is now resurgent in Europe, the Middle East and even in America. This age old hatred is now nearing the levels of the rise of Hitler in Nazi Germany. Before I comment, here is the quote:

Anti-Israel activists in Ireland have printed and distributed Christmas greeting cards that claim if Mary, the mother of Jesus, was alive today, she would be unable to give birth to Jesus as documented in the New Testament because Israeli soldier would hold her up at the Bethlehem checkpoint as they do all Palestinian women. These new greeting cards were announced the same weekend that the Israeli embassy in Ireland caused a storm by posting to its official Facebook page that if Mary and her baby, Jesus, were in Bethlehem today, they would likely be lynched as Jews. Shortly after, the embassy deleted the post and issued an apology.

This subject is on my heart today on Christmas Eve because it is prophetic fulfillment. The hatred expressed against Israel and all Jews everywhere has it source in the worst hatred of all: anti-God or more specifically, anti-Yehovah, God of Israel. The dots are connected beyond question in Psalm 83.

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. The enemies of Yehovah and His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah (Jesus), hate God with an unquenchable fire of loathing. Yet, they cannot reach into Heaven and attack Him there, so they take it out on His chosen people, Israel and the Jews .

The fact of baby Jesus and Mary being used for propaganda is revealing. The lines are being drawn. Which side are you choosing? As for me and my house, we serve Yehovah, the Everlasting Faithful God of Israel. This is part one of my comments. Next time I will list and document examples of the growing anti-Israel actions around the world. Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in this Christmas season. It is a person, Jesus Prince of Peace!

One quick good news report. The rains are returning to Israel. The seven year drought is broken. The Sea of Galilee is predicted to rise to its highest level in ten years by the end of the rainy season. Hallelujah!

Impossible!

The Palestinian flag will never fly over Israel. Palestinian demands for “peace” are completely impossible. The land has been given by Yehovah God to Israel for an everlasting possession.

“Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Genesis 17:8

Here are the practical reasons:

No Jews allowed in Palestine.
Five million Arabs must be allowed to move into Israel (Yes, Israel, not Palestine).
A land corridor must DIVIDE Israel connecting Gaza and the West Bank, so Palestine will not be divided?!? What?
Palestine borders make Israel indefensible.
The last “talks” were held after Abbas demanded Israel declare a moratorium on building in the West Bank for ten months. Israel succumbed and Abbas still refused for eight months and then demanded Israel extend the moratorium, because two months was too short to talk. I am not making this up. You can see a pattern here. Abbas always adds conditions that are impossible for Israel to meet, although Israel repeatedly states it will meet anytime with no pre-conditions. Yet, the international response is to always condemn Israel for the failure to meet.
Palestine in unilaterally upgraded to observer state status by the UN General Assembly and Israel announces new building projects the same week. Is Palestine condemned for its illegal violations of the Oslo Accords? Of course not, Israel is castigated for building homes for their citizens. The world is “outraged” and the US finds it “unhelpful” and it (building homes) will threaten the peace process! What peace process? The process was cancelled by the Palestinian Authority’s unilateral UN action.

This brings us to the two state solution. It is impossible. It is about Israel’s very right to exist, as a Jewish state, that is at stake here. Even the wisdom of Solomon cannot solve it. Remember the time two mothers claimed the same baby? The real mother refused to cut the baby in half, but lying woman was okay with that.

Some time later two prostitutes came to the king to have an argument settled. “Please, my lord,” one of them began, “this woman and I live in the same house. I gave birth to a baby while she was with me in the house. Three days later this woman also had a baby. We were alone; there were only two of us in the house. “But her baby died during the night when she rolled over on it. Then she got up in the night and took my son from beside me while I was asleep. She laid her dead child in my arms and took mine to sleep beside her. And in the morning when I tried to nurse my son, he was dead! But when I looked more closely in the morning light, I saw that it wasn’t my son at all.” Then the other woman interrupted, “It certainly was your son, and the living child is mine.” “No,” the first woman said, “the living child is mine, and the dead one is yours.” And so they argued back and forth before the king.

Then the king said, “Let’s get the facts straight. Both of you claim the living child is yours, and each says that the dead one belongs to the other. All right, bring me a sword.” So a sword was brought to the king.

Then he said, “Cut the living child in two, and give half to one woman and half to the other!” Then the woman who was the real mother of the living child, and who loved him very much, cried out, “Oh no, my lord! Give her the child—please do not kill him!” But the other woman said, “All right, he will be neither yours nor mine; divide him between us!” Then the king said, “Do not kill the child, but give him to the woman who wants him to live, for she is his mother!” When all Israel heard the king’s decision, the people were in awe of the king, for they saw the wisdom God had given him for rendering justice. 1 Kings 3:16-28 NLT

That is exactly the choice for Israel. The ones who want to divide the Land of Israel for the sake of compromise, or what the world calls “peace,” are lying, and they are not the true heirs. (from Aviel Schneider in Israel Today Magazine)

Blessing Israel

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. Psalm 102:13

Please notice the photo. Israel is the part that is green. When you look closer, you can even see the outline of the “West bank” in brown. Most of the surrounding nations are also brown. The only part of Israel that is not green is the Negev desert area (which happens to be the only desert on the planet that is shrinking!).

What is my point?

About 150 years ago, Mark Twain traveled the area and found it almost entirely barren and God-forsaken. He detailed his journey in The Innocents Abroad. Seeing the desolation in 1867, he wrote: Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes. Over it broods the spell of a curse that has withered its fields and fettered its energies. There is hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive and cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, have almost deserted the soil.

The Ottoman Turks had taxed every tree growing in the Holy Land as a means of causing the desolation; because the residents would cut down the trees to avoid the tax.

Today, Israel is a miracle nation resurrected as no other in history. It is indeed the “set time” to favor Zion. It is the supernatural blessing of Yehovah, God of Israel. Consider just a few of the hundreds of prophesies and promises fulfilled in our day.

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of Yehovah, the excellency of our God. Isaiah 35:1-2

Jeremiah 31 Thus says Yehovah: “The people who survived the sword Found grace in the wilderness–Israel, when I went to give him rest.” (verse 2). Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the ends of the earth, Among them the blind and the lame, The woman with child And the one who labors with child, together; A great throng shall return there. (verse 8). Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of Yehovah–For wheat and new wine and oil, For the young of the flock and the herd; Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all. (verse 12.) “And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says Yehovah. (verse 28.) “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yehovah: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (verse 33).

“I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am Yehovah. Ezekiel 36:11

“So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ “Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, Yehovah, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, Yehovah, have spoken it, and I will do it.” Ezekiel 36:35-36

NYC AD Wars

This summer has seen a flare-up of ad wars in the New York City subway system stations. First was the above ad placed in 50 locations by a Palestinian group. The four maps depicted are incorrect. The first one labels the area in 1946 as Palestine, as if it were an Arab state. The truth is there has never in history been a state called Palestine. There has never been a unique language, currency, or culture. Palestinians are merely Arabs. Jews have lived there continuously for 3,000 years. The area was renamed Palestinia by the Romans in their effort to stamp out Israel in 135 AD. Controlled by various Gentile empires until 1948, Israel was legally declared a nation by the United Nations and declared its independence at that time. Jerusalem has never been the capital of any nation but Israel since King David made it his capital over 3,000 years ago.

The last map above exaggerates the area recognized as Israel. As a result of these ads, a pro-Israel group, Stand With Israel, countered with six ads of their own in 75 subway locations. Two of these are below, telling the truth about Israel.

The period that David reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years. 1 Kings 2:11

Beware the Leaven

Then He (Jesus) charged them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” Mark 8:15

Two types of leaven are referenced by Jesus in this verse: leaven of Pharisees and leaven of Herod. We know the implication. Leaven is a yeast that spreads throughout the dough so it will rise when baked. But of what is Jesus warning us?

For years I have made the case that Communism failed to dominate the world because of one critical strategic mistake. Based on atheistic humanism, it had no spiritual component. Yes it was demonic in its character and goals, but it was not inherently spiritual at its core.

On the other hand, Islam is spiritual at its core. But Jesus said to watch out for two kinds of leaven. The leaven of the Pharisees is a “religious spirit.” They go about trying to establish their own righteousness, according to the apostle Paul. It also infects modern Christians, who try to earn salvation rather than receiving it as a totally free gift of God. There is a seduction to the idea that you must do something to qualify for it. This is the religious spirit. (Jesus further defines it as the traditions or doctrines of men and as hypocrisy. See quotes at the end of this commentary).

The leaven of Herod speaks of the other kind of leaven. It is a “political spirit.” Herod was the archetypical political animal. He double crossed, connived and deceived. He played both side against the middle. Jesus called him “that fox”. Herod reminds us of today’s politics in Washington, DC.

The debt ceiling crisis we have all just witnessed, was pure politics (an interesting oxymoron). Yet, there is a greater threat rapidly rising in this nation and the world. It is militant Islam. One main reason Islam is so powerful is that it combines the two leavens. Islam is both a religious spirit and a political spirit. Communism had only the political, but Islam has both. The lust for world conquest is not only in the core of sinful man, it is fueled and energized by the passionate religion of death. The true believers are actually convinced that salvation comes by blowing up infidels, Christians and Jews and yourself in the process. These are Muslims who are faithful to the Koran and other writings, who follow WWMD: What would Mohammed do?

How opposite is the motive from Jesus and Christians who follow WWJD: What would Jesus do? Jihadists die to save themselves. Jesus died so that we could live! Pray that Muslims all over the world will discover this great salvation offered through Jesus the true Messiah and Son of God, Yehovah. His Hebrew name is Yeshua ben Yehovah. He came because God loves the whole world. Yet, it is not automatic, one must receive Jesus as Who He is.

Pray for Muslims to be set free from that evil religious spirit of earning salvation. Also pray that they be released from the political spirit of pride and greed and arrogance driving them to conquer the earth in the name of their false god.

Pray for the Church to see the folly of religious hypocrisy and repent for political methods.

Beware the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod!

In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. Luke 12:1

Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Matthew 16:12

Plowman Overtakes Reaper

One of the surest signs that we are in the last generation is the fulfillment of Amos 9:13-15. We can now see the plowman overtaking the reaper with our own eyes. After pronouncing severe judgment on Israel, he turns to the time of restoration. Some would say this was fulfilled in the past, but that is not possible due to the last sentence of verse 15. Today is the hour that the prophet foretold. Only today can we see history lining up with prophecy.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,” Says Yehovah your God. Amos 9:14-15.

“No longer” removed from the land can only apply to these last days. Every previous time, Israel was scattered again. In the end, Israel will reach the point where it is never uprooted again. The final condition of Israel is supported by multiple prophecies.

The main point in this quote is the phrase: “the plowman shall overtake the reaper.” This promise indicates a time of such fruitfulness (as in Vine, Branches, Fruit) that the crops will be so plentiful and the soil so fertile that they don’t wait till next year to plant another crop. They plow right behind the reapers. When Doreen and I and our daughter, Andrea, lived in Israel for three months in the mid-nineties, we visited a valley near Mt Hermon in the Golan Heights called the Hula Valley. Doreen is from Maine where they get one and a half cuttings of hay a year. In Georgia, they can get three or four cuttings of hay in a year. But in the Hula Valley of northern Israel they get eighteen cuttings of hay per year. That is fertile land with Yehovah’s blessing of abundance.

The text continues to say that “the mountains will drip with sweet wine”. Grapevines are not usually grown in the rocky soil of Israel’s mountains. But this era of Israel’s resurrection will see miraculous conditions allowing grape vines in the mountains. It goes on to describe gardens with fruit that they plant and enjoy for themselves, no need of imports. Again, finally, no longer will they be removed from the land. Just like they plant and reap the fruit, God will plant them again in their own land, never again to be pulled up. Thank you Father, for allowing us to live in this day of favor and restoration of your covenant people Israel. (An excerpt from my newest book, Generation LIFE, available in August, Lord willing.)

Will the Palestinian flag ever fly over a legitimate state within the Biblical boundaries of Israel? No, it will never happen because God is faithful to keep His covenant with His Land and His people Israel. Will there be more war in Israel? Yes, sadly, Psalm 83 (my 9 minute YouTube video) describes today’s buildup to a regional war. We stand on the threshold of that war, but Israel will triumph through Yehovah God’s faithfulness.

Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the return of abundant rains that will cause the earth to bring forth fruitfulness. We now see the plowman overtaking the reaper! Thank you, Jesus.

Egypt Descends

Three weeks from now Egypt will elect the Muslim Brotherhood candidate for President. This completes the descent of Egypt from a functional member of the international community of nations to a pariah nation lined up for the Biblical prophecy fulfillment of Psalm 83. They will participate in that regional war in which Israel expands from the river of Egypt (the Nile) to the great river Euphrates in northeastern Syria.

Who is Mohammad Mursi? The MB presidential candidate, and predicted winner of next month’s election, is totally committed to the Muslim Brotherhood whose motto is:

– All-h is our objective.
– The Prophet is our leader.
– Qur’an is our law.
– Jihad is our way.
– Dying in the way of All-h is our highest hope.

Mursi is committed to Sharia Law in Egypt. Mursi is reported to have answered a question about freedom of religion: “People have the right to leave Islam and we have the right to kill them.”

Egyptian cleric Safwat Higazi introduced Mursi at his May 1 campaign rally: Mursi will restore the “United States of the Arabs” with Jerusalem as its capital. Millions of martyrs march toward Jerusalem.

As someone said, the “Arab Spring” doesn’t lead to democracy, it leads to Jerusalem.

Mohammed Mursi’s view of the peace treaty with Israel: underlined the necessity for his country’s rapprochement with Iran and other Muslim states, stressing that Egypt will no more be an Israeli ally.

What does this mean for Egypt’s future? The entire chapter of Isaiah 19 is now coming into fulfillment. We need to be aware of this passage. Yehovah, God of Israel, will set Egyptians against each other, brother against brother. The destruction of Egypt under “a cruel master” will be complete. Even the Nile River will dry up!

“And the Egyptians I will give into the hand of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, Yehovah of hosts. The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and dried up. The rivers will turn foul; The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up; The reeds and rushes will wither. Isaiah 19:4-6

In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of Yehovah of hosts, which He waves over it. And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of Yehovah of hosts which He has determined against it. Isaiah 19:16-17

Yet, there is good news for Egypt’s future beyond this horrible time. Egyptians will turn to the God of Israel and be saved!

In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by Yehovah of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction. In that day there will be an altar to Yehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Yehovah at its border. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to Yehovah because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. Then Yehovah will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know Yehovah in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to Yehovah and perform it. And Yehovah will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to Yehovah, and He will be entreated by them and heal them. In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, whom Yehovah of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” Isaiah 19:18-25

(By the way, look how nebulous this passage is with the generic “LORD” instead of His real name, Yehovah, as distinguished from all other gods.)

Islam Steals Golgotha

There is a serious problem taking place at one of Christendom’s holiest sites. Muslims are encroaching on the site next to the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, called “the place of the skull” or Golgotha. This post features the latest development, two new signs embedded in a new wall right on the top of the famous Christian site. This new wall circles a Muslim cemetery on the hilltop. Look very closely in the first picture at the wall above the place of the skull (taken from the Garden Tomb observation deck). The signs are in Arabic. What do they say?

The left sign says “Islamic Cemetery for the Mujahideen (or Freedom Fighters)”.

The right sign says “No God but All-h and Muhammad is his Messenger”.

Mujahideen comes from the root word “jihad”: The modern phenomenon of jihadism, i.e., the movement within radical Islamism that presents jihad (offensive or defensive) as the casus belli for insurgencies, guerilla warfare and international terrorism (definition from Wikipedia).

The implications of this go far beyond religious sensitivities. It exposes the agenda of radical Islam to obliterate all other religions in their relentless drive to dominate the entire planet. We must not be ignorant of their devices.
