Hamas Flag on Temple Mount

While we were enjoying Passover and Resurrection Day here in the United States, something very sinister was happening in Jerusalem, Israel. The Hamas terrorist entity from Gaza effectively took over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, even flying their Islamic Hamas flag on the Mount itself.

For over a week now, the escalating situation has seen several riots with at least two Israeli police injured. Young Hamas radicals barricaded themselves inside the grey-domed al-Aqsa mosque. Inside the mosque, they were also stockpiling rocks and chunks of broken concrete which they used to attack non-Muslims. They even hurled rocks and molotov cocktails down on Jews praying at the Western Wall. Israel has been impotent to put an end to it “for fear of offending Muslim sensibilities”.

My view is that things will continue to boil up and over. With the failure of Kerry’s peace effort and the ultimate failure of the 20 year Oslo Accords, the Palestinians are preparing a major eruption of violence. In earlier posts I mentioned two scenarios for the “huge event” that may be associated with the tetrad of four blood moon eclipses that began on Passover and continue this Fall on the Feast of Tabernacles. They conclude with one on Passover 2015 and Tabernacles 2015.

Israel became a nation just before a tetrad in 1949-50 and regained Jerusalem in the next one in 1967-68. If you see those events through a camera lens you start with a wide-angle view of the whole country and then a narrower view of just Jerusalem. That suggests that the narrowing focus may now be on the Temple Mount. I offer this for you prayer and consideration as watchmen on the wall.

Where was this Hamas Photo Taken?

The surprise answer is Jerusalem, last Sunday! It says something about free speech in Israel. But what is going on? The photo of last Sunday’s march at Al Quds University in Jerusalem reveals the bold intent of Hamas to destroy the Jews. This was the second demonstration there in five months.

The Islamic Bloc of Al-Quds University, a student group associated with the Hamas terror group, paraded on campus with masked faces, carrying green banners and cardboard replicas of missiles launched by Islamist terrorists from Gaza into Israel. The Times of Israel

Last November 5, a similar demonstration was also held at Jerusalem’s Al Quds University. These are not harmless students looking for a photo-op, these are serious terrorists threatening the very existence of Israel.

Hamas: We Must Slaughter the Jews is a headline for this story in Israel Today: A Hamas member of the Palestinian parliament said in a recent televised address that Palestinian Muslims must either subdue or massacre the Jews, and that genuine, long-lasting peace with the infidels is not achievable. Speaking on Hamas’ Al Aqsa TV, MP Yunis Al-Astal explained “This indicates that we must massacre them, in order to break them down and prevent them from sowing corruption in the world,” he stated. One would presume this also applies to the “infidel” Christians living in the region.

Arab League Officially Rejects “Jewish State” from Israel National News, Arutz Sheva.

At the conclusion of the two-day Arab League summit in Kuwait on Wednesday, Arab leaders announced their rejection of Israel’s request for recognition as the Jewish state. The final statement of the summit declared its “total rejection of the call to consider Israel a Jewish state,”

Since this is a non-negotiable demand of Israel for its very existence, say “Good bye” to the peace talks. To add insult to injury, Palestinian religious leaders have added to their ban on Jews and Christians praying (or doing anything remotely religious) on the Temple Mount. Now they are saying that even the Western Wall below the Mount is also part of Al Aqsa Mosque, and no Jews should be allowed to pray there either!

If you only read Western media, you may be deluded into thinking there is a chance for peace. You would be dead wrong. The Palestinians are increasing pressure, condemnations and attacks within Israel. It is only going to get worse before it gets better. So, where is hope? Yehovah, God of Israel, has spoken and anointed His Son Jesus, Yeshua ben Yehovah, as King over Israel to rule the entire planet.

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yehovah and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: Yehovah has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. Psalm 2:1-8

Genocide

Read this slowly so you understand exactly what I believe. Those who side with the Palestinian leaders against Israel are supporting genocide. For 65+ years, not a week has passed without a call for Israel’s destruction. There was war several times, suicide campaigns at other times, plus boycotts and devious political moves. All these attempts ultimately have the same goal: genocide of all Jews. Check out this story: Favorite Course of Terrorists in Israeli Jails – Genocide

There is no peace partner. Some Westerners are willing to admit that Hamas has that goal, since it is clearly in their Charter. However, the West ignores that the Palestinian Authority still has never officially removed similar statements from their Charter. Consider this quotation from the news this week.

PA Sheikh: Only Solution for Jews is the Sword “For Jews, we do not have but the sword and by extension we need to hold an all-out war against them and not talk with them,” declared Abu Sara’a. Quoted a few days ago in his sermon at the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount, he declared the following in the same sermon:

He stressed that “Palestine” is holy Islamic land and should not be given up under any circumstances. The solution, said Abu Sara’a, is in the words of the prophet of Islam Muhammad, who said, “Fight them” and did not say that Jews should be negotiated with. In this context he mentioned the tradition quoted by the prophet Muhammad, where a tree and a stone call a Muslim and tell him, “A Jew is hiding behind me, come and kill him.”

What hope is there for peace when that attitude is normal for Palestinian leaders? The Palestinian flag (of a non-nation) is flying all over the Middle East and in pro-Palestinian demonstrations around the world. It is the flag of genocide. Does Israel promote genocide of the Palestinians? No, except in the fantasy of propaganda. As is often repeated… “If the Arabs laid down their weapons there would be peace, but if Israel laid down her weapons Israel would cease to exist.” That defines “an existential threat.”

Israel’s hope is only in Yehovah God.

“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yehovah. and it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as Yehovah has said, among the remnant whom Yehovah calls. For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.” Joel 2:30-32 & 3:1-2

No Big Deal

Here is another great cartoon commentary from Israel. It is so true. And yes, rockets are falling again. Things are heating up.

Breaking News: Today, five Israeli soldiers were attacked and injured by Hamas terrorists, while trying to destroy a major tunnel from Gaza into Israel. It was a mile and a half long and ended near an Israeli village. It was sixty feet deep at one point (details here).

Breaking news: Israel has bombed two more Syrian missile sites yesterday and today. As usual, Israel does not confirm that they did it. However, also as usual, the White House can be counted on to “leak” that Israel did it. Israel Furious with White House.

Release Terrorists, Get Rocket Fire

MK Regev: We Release Terrorists, Get Rocket Fire The Chairwoman of the Knesset’s Internal Affairs Committee, MK Miri Regev (Likud), said Monday that Israel “releases terrorists and receives missile fire, murder and terror.” She joined a relatively long list of Likud MKs who came out strongly against the decision to free terrorists as a “gesture” to the Palestinian Authority in exchange for “peace talks.”

The standard reason for Israel releasing terrorists is that Israel must provide a “gesture” to prove they want peace. The Palestinian Authority is not required a similar gesture. Israel has followed this foolish path for years and it only leads to more violence. Since the first release of 26 terrorists in August, terror attacks have increased in the West Bank and Israel with several Israelis killed.

Yesterday Israel announced the release of 26 more and immediately saw two rockets land in Israel fired from Gaza. Today saw four more fired with one intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. There are mounting calls for a new intifada against Israel. An Arab member of the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) has praised the Hamas leader’s recent call for a new intifada.

Praise Yehovah, O my soul! While I live I will praise Yehovah; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth. In that very day his plans perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yehovah his God. Psalm 146:1-5

The “New Pharaoh” Principle

Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. Exodus 1:8

During Israel’s 400 years in Egypt they transitioned from great favor under Joseph as Pharaoh’s second in command. Eventually their expanding population threatened a new Pharaoh and he made them slaves. This is a prophetic picture of modern Israel’s circumstances. I call it the “New Pharaoh” principle.

Prime Minister Netanyahu quoted this text on New Year’s Day during his weekly Bible study. It came up in the regular Torah portion Bible reading for Jews everywhere. I was impressed with his insight into the prophetic application. He saw the threat from Egypt’s Morsi who replaced Mubarak; and he applied it also to the Hamas threat over the West Bank.

In this week’s Torah portion it is written, “Now there arose a new king over Egypt who knew not Joseph.” That’s also happening today,” he said from his Jerusalem residence, referring to the Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi, who replaced Hosni Mubarak as Egypt’s leader last year. Everyone knows that Hamas could take over the Palestinian Authority. Benjamin Netanyahu 1-1-13

It is so wonderful to hear a head of state not merely use Scripture for image, but as the support for his political position. Hamas really is a threat to take over the Palestinian “state” in the West Bank. The Prime Minister continued:

As opposed to the voices that I have heard recently urging me to run forward, make concessions, withdraw [from the West Bank], I think that the diplomatic process must be managed responsibly and sagaciously and not in undue haste. Otherwise a third base for Iranian terrorism will arise here, in the heart of the country. Peace can be achieved only when security is assured. (ibid)

This principle has applied several times already in the so-called peace process. When Israel withdrew from Lebanon, Hezbollah took over control. When Israel withdrew from Gaza, the Palestinian Authority was soon overthrown by Hamas. The same scenario has now played out in Egypt. and is certain to result in Syria and even Jordan before we are through.

Therefore, Netanyahu is wise to consider possible future changes when “negotiating” with Abbas. The corrupt PA will be replaced by Hamas in a short time. There is a growing move in Israel to simply annex Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). A Jerusalem conference is considering this concept this week.

Please keep the “New Pharaoh” principle in mind as you pray for Israel and real peace for Jerusalem.

Will Israel Stand Alone?

Monday, I explained that the enemies of Israel in reality hate God. They can’t reach Heaven so they attack His Chosen Ones. There is a primary evil spirit loose on the earth of satan himself, who would overthrow the God of Heaven. This anti-Christ anti-Messiah spirit takes form as anti-Jew, anti-Israel, anti-Semitic and anti-life. It is the same violent principality that was judged by Yehovah in the great flood of Noah’s day. The Hebrew word for violence in the flood account is “hamas“. Used many times in the Bible, it is no coincidence that the rulers of Gaza chose that name. Yet, the spirit of hamas indwells all of Israel’s enemies.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Genesis 6:11-13

40,000 Deaths Don’t Count?

One cartoon is worth 1,000 lies

According to Wikipedia, between 40,000 and 52,000 Syrians have died in the 20 months of their bloody civil war. Yet, the news is blasting 24/7 about the 100 killed in Gaza. Why are there so many more stories about Gaza? It’s simple. It fits the narrative of bashing Israel. Since Israel is not involved in the Syrian civil war, those deaths don’t have the same propaganda value. Jeffrey Goldberg wrote in the Atlantic: The media is biased against Israel. Yes, got it. Yes, Israel is being judged harshly. Yes, I know that probably 300 people have been murdered in Syria since this Gaza affair started, and no one cares. An acquaintance of mine, a Syrian living in Beirut, wrote me in frustration about this last night. “We get very little interest from the international press compared to the Palestinians. What should we do to get more attention?” My advice is to get killed by Jews. Always works.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a compelling case in his recent video statement: “Hamas is guilty of double war crimes. They intentionally target Israeli civilians and they hide their rockets behind Palestinian civilians.”

The initial Gaza coverage was balanced, but is now turning against Israel. Look at this quote from China: China condemns Israel’s ‘over-use of force causing deaths and injuries amongst innocent ordinary people’. What are they thinking? Over 1500 rockets have been launched at Israeli civilians this year, over 1,000 this week. What exactly is “over-use of force” in the minds of Communist Chinese? I wonder how they would react to 1,500 incoming rockets? And why are Palestinians in Gaza (70% of whom voted Hamas into power) considered “innocent ordinary people”, when Hamas intentionally targets Israeli civilians?

Israel drops leaflets, calls cellphones and sends text messages to warn Gaza civilians to stay away from Hamas facilities and launch sites. Repeat after me: Israel defends itself by attacking terrorists, resulting in occasional civilian casualties, but Hamas intentionally targets Israeli civilians! Why is this so hard for media to grasp?

Consider the following quote from Avner Bosky (available in Nov 19 newsletter here)

It is difficult for many Westerners to understand the depths of religious hatred and motivation found throughout the Islamic and Arab world. These are directed sometimes at the West, sometimes at Russia, but always at Israel. The foundations of these attitudes are Koranic, and are amplified in the Islamic hadith (a kind of Oral Law compilation, considered authoritative by all Muslims). According to these perspectives, the Jewish people have no right to any part of the land of Israel, and it is the duty and obligation of all Muslims to wage jihad against the Jews and all who stand with them. It is not a war about borders, or about refugees, or about Western influence. It is a war of Islamist annihilation targeting Jews both in Israel and around the world.

Sheikh Hussein Massawi, former head of Hezbollah, declared regarding Israel, “We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you.”

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, co-founder and former head of Hamas, announced, “Make no mistake. There will be no peace as long as there is a Zionist-Jewish state. Our holy goal is to liberate all of Palestine, and if the Jews do not go, they will die. All of Palestine is Islamic land – every inch.”

Articles 6 of Hamas’ 1988 constitution declares that “Israel will rise and will remain erect until Islam eliminates it … The Islamic Resistance Movement…strives to raise the banner of All-h over every inch of Palestine.”

Article 8 is the official slogan of Hamas, and it is not ashamed to announce that “All-h is our goal, the Prophet our model, the Qur’an our Constitution, Jihad our path and death for the cause of All-h our most sublime belief.” This last point (Article 8) is also the slogan of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

90 Gaza Rockets in 24 Hours

Americans are understandably consumed with our Presidential election 10 days away. We are also shocked by the Administration’s six weeks Libya silence. They are obviously playing out the string hoping most voters will not hear about it until after November 6.

Yet Israel, our truest Middle East friend, was targeted with 90 rockets in 24 hours on Wednesday. Again, the miracle report is no deaths and two injured. But what civilized nation would suffer 90 rockets and not retaliate? We must pray for wisdom for Israel’s Defense Forces. There is a ridiculously fine line imposed on them by the world governments. No matter how measured their response, they are regularly condemned for “disproportionate force”.

There have been 500 rocket attacks in 2012! That is more than two a day. What would you do if you were Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu? Most of the world still considers Gaza as occupied territory. But Israel completely withdrew all Jews and all troops in August of 2005. The only Jew in Gaza since then was Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped and held hostage for five years until last year. Israel valued his life to the degree that they traded 1,000 terrorist prisoners for him. Again, what would you do?

The best news is that the God of Israel will defend His chosen ones.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from Yehovah, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:1-4

And King David famously spoke of the salvation and victory that would be fully accomplished in the rule of the Messiah Yeshua, whom David called “my Lord” in Psalm 110. See Acts 2:22-34 for Peter’s application of this verse to Jesus.

Yehovah said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” Yehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Psalm 110:1-2

Yes, the promise is true and the victory is sure. Pray for the SHALOM of Jerusalem!

120 Invisible Rockets

If you have to explain the punchline of a joke, it probably isn’t funny. That is Israel’s second problem when they are attacked with 120+ rockets in three days. The first problem is that the Western media did not cover it. I watched several major news channels in the US over the three days with not even the slightest report. This is how 120 rockets in three days become invisible.

But back to the second problem for Israel. When three days go by without proper news coverage, it is easy to blur the cause of the outbreak. That is where my analogy of needing to explain a joke applies. Hamas is able to claim that Israel is the aggressor simply because there is no timeline established. This week’s attacks started with a terrorist attack over the border from Egypt’s Sinai into Israel that killed one worker in Israel. Only then did Israel defend itself by a counter attack into Gaza. Without proper press coverage, Hamas makes claims that Israel started it, forcing Israel into “explaining the punchline”.

Then, the international media has a field day reporting Israel’s action without context. Now Israel again has to “explain the punchline”. Reuters offers a classic example of my point. After virtually no coverage in the two previous days, they finally have this headline and story on Wednesday: “Israel Kills 2 Gazans as fighting enters third day”. The story tells of Israel killing them as they are riding a motorcycle, as if they were just out for a drive. You have to keep reading five paragraphs into the story to hear that they were the ones who killed the Israeli worker on Monday. The story says 20 rockets were fired on Wednesday when the actual number was 70. They fail to mention the total of 120+ rockets since Monday’s incident provoked Israel’s defensive response, as reported by The Times of Israel site. Another example comes from the BBC, reported in the Israel Hayom news site.

BBC: Hamas admits Gaza child was killed by Palestinian rocket Palestinians first blame Tuesday’s death on Israel Air Force strike, but a Hamas official later attributes incident to Palestinian rocket fire • Despite this credible report, Chinese and French media report child died in “mysterious” blast.

A Hamas official has admitted to the BBC that a Gaza child killed on Tuesday died as a result of Palestinian rocket fire, and not from an Israeli strike. While this is not the first time Gazans have been killed by misfired Palestinian munitions, the admission, made to BBC Gaza and West Bank Correspondent Jon Donnison, is unusual in its rarity.

Egyptians Against Egyptians 2.0

Newsflash: 80 Rockets Fall on Israel in last two days – Hamas unleashed by Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian victory (my comments later this week)

Chaos is engulfing Egypt following the presidential election won by Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Although the military candidate, Shafiq, also claims victory most reports agree that Morsi won. Last week the courts disbanded the new MB dominated parliament which was confirmed Sunday by the military leaders. Some called the actions a military coup by the military. No matter who is officially declared the winner tomorrow, the other side will likely riot in the streets. We truly have reached the prophesied point of God’s Isaiah 19 actions.

The burden against Egypt. Behold, Yehovah rides on a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt; the idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, and the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; everyone will fight against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.the spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, and they will consult the idols and the charmers, the mediums and the sorcerers. and the Egyptians I will give into the hand of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” Says the Lord, Yehovah of hosts.The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and dried up. February 1, 2011 – The Heart of Egypt Will Melt with Fear

Egypt has entered meltdown. It cannot be reversed. There are certain prophetic events which when once started will follow through to their inevitable end. Jesus spoke of the events in play at His Second Coming as similar to the birth pangs of childbirth. They have begun all over the earth, but especially in the Middle East. Only two weeks ago I wrote of dominoes falling. Little did I know in my intellect what was about to break out in Egypt. It is always about hatred of God at the bottom line. It will come back against Israel. Satan needs Egypt in his big Psalm 83 push against Israel. Their peace treaty must be broken to prepare for the destined Psalm 83 war. Yet the plans of man and devil will melt away before the presence of Yehovah.

February 19, 2011 – The Muslim Caliphate and The Psalm 83 War: The Domino Theory Ends Here

We are now seeing the dominoes falling at a dizzying pace. Where will it lead? Where will it stop? The final result will be the resurrection of the Islamic Caliphate. The entire Islamic Empire will be revived from Indonesia to Morocco, and from Turkey and the “stans” to the Sudan and Somalia. This will transpire in just a few years.

Radical Islam is above all else a spiritual movement. By this I mean that it is a political ideology on steroids. If Communism was not godless it may have conquered the world. Ideas are not enough. But ideas with fanatical allegiance to an apocalyptic deity will indeed threaten the entire world.

Entire generations of young Muslims have been taught from pre-school to hate and kill Jews and Christians. That is when they were radicalized, not between weeks four and five of the Egyptian revolution (or fill in any other Muslim revolt). Koranic basic doctrine teaches that chaos and destruction are the means of overthrowing the infidels or as in Egypt’s case, the apostate Westernized Muslim states. The fundamental Islamic prophecy of the last days requires chaos and destruction to usher in the final Caliph and conquest of the whole world.

Three weeks from now Egypt will elect the Muslim Brotherhood candidate for President. This completes the descent of Egypt from a functional member of the international community of nations to a pariah nation lined up for the Biblical prophecy fulfillment of Psalm 83. They will participate in that regional war in which Israel expands from the river of Egypt (the Nile) to the great river Euphrates in northeastern Syria.

Lovers of Death

For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from Yehovah; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death. Proverbs 8:35-36

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

What a contrast between life and death is presented in the Bible. Could there be real people today who hate God so much that they love death? The answer, sadly, is yes. My point is clearly made by Hamas, in the Gaza Strip. Hamas speaks for all fundamentalist Islam in the following quote from Hamas leader, Fathi Hammad, in this speech:

“The enemies of All-h do not know that the Palestinian people has developed its methods of death and death-seeking. For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel, and so do all the people living on this land. The elderly excel at this, and so do the mujahideen and the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children, the elderly, and the mujahideen, in order to challenge the Zionist bombing machine. It is as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: “We desire death like you desire life.” (Click for video)

This is the product of the Hamas culture of death. It is the opposite of the heart of the God of Israel.

Global March on Jerusalem

Ok, so all the news from Israel is about the Global March to Jerusalem. Prayer vigils were held in the Holy City tonight for the onslaught expected tomorrow, March 30. There are calls from Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, most Arab countries, most Muslim countries and many more sympathetic countries and groups around the world. They are calling for one million people to simple walk across the Israel borders, all the way to Jerusalem. About 1500 are even staging a fly in flotilla. What could possibly go wrong? This has been planned for months as in the graphic (seen here) of a poster that is all over the Arabic speaking world.

Some of those are calling for non-violence, but some are for violence. Attempted last year, it ended in a fizzle. We are praying the same happens this time. Israel has made extensive preparations to minimize trouble, but will it be enough? The same old accusations are the basis of the march, which can be reduced to the desire to see Israel disappear.

In a case of interesting timing, this week the Obama Administration refused to call Jerusalem, Israel’s Capital. Was is co-incidental timing or subtle encouragement to the marchers?

How does this fit into prophecy? Surprise, surprise! It comes right out of Psalm 83, both the “tumult” and “that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” But, don’t forget, that the hatred is against Yehovah. They can’t get to God, so they attack the apple of His eye. If you want to know how to pray, then just open up your Bible to Psalm 83 and pray that Psalm! We normally read for devotion, or doctrine, or information; but the best way to read the Scriptures is as an intercessor. Pray for the exact outcome that God has already declared. What a concept!

Israeli Spring

Over 300 rockets and mortars rained down on Israel last week. Why isn’t this news in the Western media? With an on again, off again cease-fire, Gaza is again spreading terror in southern Israel. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Turkey incredibly says: Israel must stop ‘massacre’ of Palestinians in Gaza. We live in an upside down world, where evil is good and good is evil. Yet, Gaza in clearly in God’s focus. There is some unfinished business for Gaza in prophecy.

Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7

An important key to understanding Gaza is given in Zephaniah 2:1-7:

Seek Yehovah, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of Yehovah’s anger.

The timing of this prophecy is repeated in verse 2 and 3, as “the day of Yehovah’s anger.” I have often proposed a response to the New Age bumper sticker: “Visualize World Peace.” My alternative bumper sticker is: “Visualize the Wrath of God!” This is not a mean-spirited or fleshly idea, but rather the real order of things. Before we will see true world peace, we will see the judgment of God against violence and evil. Israel will only know true peace when they recognize that Jesus (Yeshua Sar Shalom) is the only real prince of peace. They will surely one day say to Him: “Baruch ha ba hashem Yehovah! – Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yehovah.

Zephaniah 2:5, which identifies Gazans as “Cherethites” is literally: executioners, or assassins! It would seem a simple step to understanding this reference as an ancient way of describing the suicide/homicide bombers of today’s Hamas in Gaza. Remember that “hamas” is not only the acronym for Hamas, but is also the Hebrew word for violence.

Finally, Zephaniah pictures Gaza after the judgment as a place where shepherds tend their sheep and a place for the remnant of the house of Judah.

Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Yehovah is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you; so there shall be no inhabitant. The seacoast shall be pastures, with shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there; in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For Yehovah their God will intervene for them, and return their captives. Zephaniah 2:5-7

Israel faces a very threatening Spring this year. We speak often about the Psalm 83 War. The judgement on Gaza is very likely a major component. We need to be faithful watchmen on the wall, calling on God to defend Israel His chosen as He fulfills His prophetic word.

The Right to be a Human Shield

Look closely at this cartoon by Dana Summers of the Orlando Sentinel. Notice the terrorist hiding under the burka of the woman. This is an accurate caricature of the actual policy of Hamas in Gaza as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. You can also see it throughout the Muslim world from Egypt to Iran and Pakistan. Muslim terrorists take human shields to a whole new level. There have even been multiple instances of men homicide bombers dressing in burkas to get through checkpoints.

In this country, we worry that gasoline may reach five dollars a gallon. In Muslim lands under Sharia Law, people fear for their lives. Women have virtually no rights or freedoms. My commentary today titled: The Right to be a Human Shield, is because I want to highlight the plight of women in those countries. A second point cries out, however. Where are the feminists speaking out about this women’s rights issue? Liberals and this Administration attack Israel for building houses in their capital city, but are silent about life and death women’s issues in Hamas ruled Gaza and other Muslim areas.

God speaks clearly His judgment of such wickedness:

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien–Because they do not fear Me,” Says Yehovah of hosts. Malachi 3:5

This is such a contrast with the Christian view:

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Pray for the salvation of many in Islam, that they may see Jesus as the Son of God.

From Tunisia to Jerusalem

Daily reports are flooding the Internet detailing the rapid expansion of Islamist goals in all areas of the Arab Spring. As the Muslim Brotherhood assumes power in state after state, two clear goals emerge. One is to impose Sharia law on all citizens. Number two is to “liberate” Jerusalem.

Reports from BBC sources in Tunisia tell of an agreement to name Hammadi Jebali as the new Prime Minister of Tunisia. Just last Sunday at a huge stadium rally he publicly declared: “The liberation of Tunisia will, God willing, bring about the liberation of Jerusalem.” Jebali declared that the occasion was “a divine moment in a new state, and in, hopefully, a 6th caliphate,” referring to the historical system of Islamic monarchies. Hamas Speaks in Tunisia Here is the quote from Tunisia Live: Tunisian Islamist party Ennahda invited Houda Naïm, a Hamas member of the Palestinian Legislative Council based in Gaza, to speak at a rally in Sousse, a coastal Tunisian city, this past Sunday. The event marked the first time in known memory a member of Hamas has addressed the Tunisian public.

Both speakers at the rally called for the liberation of Jerusalem. This obsession with Jerusalem brings to mind the clear scriptural promise of the God of Israel. The Bible describes this obsession with Jerusalem as “drunkenness”:

The burden of the word of Yehovah against Israel. Thus says Yehovah, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. Zechariah 12:1-3

Yehovah also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But Yehovah will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16

And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as Yehovah has said, among the remnant whom Yehovah calls. Joel 2:32

An INMTU Moment #1 (An “I’m Not Making This Up” Moment)

Every once in a while a story surfaces which defies truth & logic. It is so ridiculous that if someone just made it up, nobody would believe it. Yet, here it is in real life. Therefore, I have decided to occasionally record these moments for the historical archives. I have featured a few in the past, but today I begin keeping official count. So here goes number one. Notice both the headline and the lead line.

Sewage Floods Gaza City – Sewage from burst lines pours into homes on Friday, as the city awaits a flood of freed terrorists. Israel blamed.

Israel blamed? INMTU! Are they kidding? No, it is a legitimate story at Israel National News from two days ago. (10-16-11 Arutz Sheva) I confess that it is a little tacky to talk about, but there is more here than meets the eye. The timing is interesting. The story makes the following symbolic connection: Faulty sewage lines burst and poured into homes on Friday. Perhaps symbolically, the deluge took place as the city prepared to welcome a flood of murderous terrorists being released by Israel. The link takes you to their story detailing the terrorist murders committed by some of the 1,027 freed terrorists in the swap for one 24-year-old Israeli (Gilad Shalit) held by Hamas in Gaza for over five years. I happen to agree that the timing is more than coincidence.

The Gazans, as you would expect, beg to differ. They claim the sewer system in Gaza City is deteriorating because Israel blocks materials from entering Gaza. This despite the truth as revealed here in the recent summary of thousand of truckloads entering Gaza from Israel with humanitarian aid. So, the propaganda war of information continues. Claims and counter claims. Yet, the truth always comes out.

What is the truth behind this story? Here is a quote from a 2007 report that explains why Gaza City may have sewer problems. Israeli authorities have charged that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is digging up sewage pipes in the Gaza area so that the pipes can be used for Kassam rockets. INN Who would have guessed the real reason for broken sewer systems? So now you know the background that explains Israel’s concerns even about something so mundane as sewer pipes.

Last Jew Out of Gaza

Is there a parallel with Gilad Shalit released from Gaza and the Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah? Some will instantly think I’m crazy, but hear me out. In the Genesis story, God would not destroy Sodom because of one righteous family. His wrath on the wickedness of the city only fell after He had rescued Lot’s family.

The angels said to Lot: “For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of Yehovah, and Yehovah has sent us to destroy it.” Then Yehovah rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Yehovah out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. Genesis 19:13 & 24-25

So today we celebrate Gilad’s freedom after five years of captivity in Gaza. Hamas brags about their great “victory” and declares the freed prisoners will rejoin the figh t. One Israeli is swapped for 1,000 prisoners. What great value Israel places on one life!

But where is God in all of this? Amos, the same prophet who said God would do nothing in the earth without revealing it to His prophetic servants, had this profound word about Gaza:

Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7

The act of taking captive one Israeli could be the last straw for God’s wrath to be fulfilled on Gaza. Now that Gilad is free there are no Jews left in Gaza. Think about it. If Israel values life at a thousand to one, how much more does the Father of creation value “the apple of His eye?” To those who say God is not like that anymore, simply read Malachi 3:6 For I am Yehovah, I do not change; and also consider: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Sinai Game Changer

After the attack on south Israel near Eilat last weekend it’s a new ball game. Eight Israelis were killed in the terrorist attack plus most of the attackers. Reports vary on the loyalty of the attackers either Al-Qaeda Egypt, or Gaza rooted sub groups under Hamas. It is a definite game changer, either way. Israel has enjoyed peace on its long border with Egypt for decades. View that in your review mirror, it’s history.

The Egyptian revolution was devastating for their economy, killing tourism, and thrusting the nation into chaos and potential famine. Add to that the rise and expected victory of the Muslim Brotherhood in the September elections, and you have more than the provisional military government can handle. Egypt is also very concerned about an Al-Qaeda sabotage of the Suez Canal. Policing the Sinai is a pretty low priority for the military government. Therefore, the Sinai is turning into no man’s land, a bit like our own wild west on steroids, only with a demonic agenda to destroy Israel.

Great irony followed the terrorist attack on Eilat. Israel was the victim of an unprovoked terror assult resulting in a major forced concession that now allows Egypt to station troops in the eastern border. In the fog of the attack several Egyptian security personnel were killed, leading to a demand from Egypt for more troops on their side of the border. This is a clear violation of the peace treaty, but Israel has already conceded under pressure from the US Administration because of Egypt’s threat to break it.

This means that Gaza terror groups will now have free rein in the Sinai along with Al-Qaeda. It is another step closer to the next war with Israel. Syria is on the brink, and even Jordan continues to slide into position for the inevitable Psalm 83 confederacy. Stay tuned. It is happening so fast. This week Israel narrowly avoided a war in Gaza when Hamas backed down.

Beyond politics, what does the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob have planned for the great desert wasteland of the Sinai? Consider what the Bible says about the final conditions when Israel returns in the favor of Yehovah:

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived. Isaiah 35: 1, 6-7 NLT.

Ask Yehovah for rain In the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Monday, June 13, the US deployed the USS Bataan amphibian air carrier strike vessel opposite Syria’s Mediterranean coast with 2,000 marines, 6 war planes, 15 attack helicopters, including new V-22 Ospreys, and 27 choppers for landing forces aboard. (DEBKAfile at Debka.com).

The Syria front is heating up. Assad is killing his own citizens and reports of inhuman beatings and rape are emerging. He may be the next deposed dictator, but likely to be followed by Muslim fundamentalists. Iran has direct involvement and the stakes are high for them to control both Syria and Lebanon as Iran tightens the noose around Israel. In the South, Gaza is ruled by another Iranian proxy, Hamas, while Egypt is breaking toward Iran as well.

Lebanon is now under the complete control of Hezbollah with the appointment of the new cabinet which it dominates. All of this portends a very serious summer perhaps leading to the Psalm 83 War scenario. Be forewarned.

Topic #2 Swords Before Plowshares

Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears (Joel 3:9-10).

We love to quote Joel 2 about the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. That will “preach,” as they say. But not too many people want to go to church and pay their tithes and offerings to hear the hard words of what is really coming. We long for the day when the swords will be beaten into plowshares (Isaiah 2:4). However, Jesus clearly prophesied wars first. We pray for peace but prepare for war.

So we see that the sword comes first, being made from material that has a peaceful purpose. The order is set. Plows melted into swords, followed later by weapons of war melted down for plows. May that day come soon. Pray, pray, pray!

Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Yehovah. Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; for the winepress is full, the vats overflow—for their wickedness is great.” Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! May 15 March on Israel

One week from now Israel faces a potential calamity. Arabic and English internet sites are buzzing with threats and chatter calling for millions of Muslims to march into Israel in a human wave. Western media have not given much mention, but this march could explode into a full-scale war.

Psalm 83 has been well documented here, and this event could be the trigger. Given the so-called “Arab Spring” demonstrations in multiple countries, Palestinians prepare to seize the moment for their own uprising. The Arabic term for uprising is “intifada”. These internet sites are calling for a third intifada. However, Israel, under Netanyahu, will not be passive this time. Pray wisdom for Israel’s leaders to seek Divine guidance for the crisis. The Psalm 83 War will be won by Israel, but not without Yehovah’s supernatural help.

A catalyst for Palestinians, the recent agreement between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority,violates the PA’s previous agreements with Israel. Israel responded by holding back tax funds from the PA. However, in a blatantly counterproductive move, the EU is sending 85 million Euros to the rescue of the Palestinians. The contradiction here is vivid to close observers. The EU is part of the Quartet, which is four entities working to impose a “peace treaty” on Israel. They are the United States, the United Nations, Russia and the European Union.

The Quartet has declared numerous times that Hamas is a terrorist group that must do three things for acceptance as a peace partner with the PA. 1. Accept Israel’s right to exist. 2. Renounce violence (which is impossible since their name is an acronym which means “violence” in Hebrew). 3. Agree to the previous agreements between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. Hamas flatly rejects all three stipulations. The opposite is the case; the PA has joined with Hamas via their “Unity” pact.

Israel can in no way make peace with those whose charter demands Israel’s annihilation. Therefore, this rising “Arab Spring” movement will detonate the worst impulses in Israel’s enemies. We have seen this coming for several years. What will be the event that lights the fuse? Another flash point is the PA’s announced intent to unilaterally declare statehood in September. It may not happen next week, but the fuse is ready to burn.

Finally, it is in this context that Prime Minister Netanyahu meets President Obama in DC on May 20. He will also speak to a joint session of the US Congress on May 23 or 24. Prophetic events are piling on top of one another at a dizzying pace. Fasten your seat belt for a wild ride this month. Or better yet, spend some serious time in your prayer closet.

Topic #1 Hijab: The Gitmo of Muslim Women

There is something very hidden by the Islamic hijab covering of Muslim women. It is only hypocrisy to claim it is a pious modesty chosen by the free will of the woman. While there certainly are outspoken naïve Western converts who do indeed appreciate the modesty aspect, they are only useful idiots. The real sinister meaning is hidden behind the veil.

The radical Islamic culture dominated by men keeps half of their societies in virtual slavery. Their women are more imprisoned than the handful of terrorists housed at Guantanamo Bay. The dirty secret seems to be ignored by the West. Ataturk of Turkey banned the veil in 1924 at the fall of the last Caliph. He understood the danger. The legalization again in Turkey opens the door for complete domination of the radicals. How is this connected? The radicals simply require their own women to wear it, then single out friends who refuse, for persecution. They threaten and intimidate with beatings and even murder until more and more women wear it. Finally, they make it law that all women must be covered. It is a first step in establishing Sharia Law.

This has been a hot topic in Canada for years and was defeated by Muslim women appealing to Canadian Parliament. France is now facing the same issue. Inform yourself. Praise God for the Judeo/Christian foundation of equal liberty for women. Pray for eyes to see and ears to hear.

Topic #2 Meanwhile at the Center of the Planet

All told, since January 1, terrorists in Gaza have fired 269 rockets, mortars and shells at Jewish towns and villages in the South. That comes out to nearly three projectiles per day, every day, since the start of 2011. This week Gaza al-Qaida kidnapped an Italian journalist, then tortured and killed him while demanding that Hamas release an al-Qaida leader. Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum: “goal of this depraved band of outlaws was to spread chaos and anarchy in the Gaza Strip.” They then all blamed Israel. You can’t make this stuff up.

Hamas Blasts School Bus, Declares Ceasefire

When you were a little kid, you punched your friend and then said: “Truce, no hitting back.” I remember that anyway. We call that juvenile or childish humor. But what is happening in Israel today is no joke. Hamas has a terror cell planning to kidnap Israelis during Passover (which starts Monday night). Israel attacked the cell a couple days ago killing three. Hamas called it “a crime” and called for the world to condemn Israel.
Today, Hamas shoots an advanced, Russian-made Kornet-type anti-tank missile at a school bus which is the exact target and within eyesight of the terrorists. A sixteen year old student is critically injured and the driver is also injured. Within hours Hamas claims responsibility for the attack and also declares a ceasefire for all parties to commence at 11pm. Are you kidding me? You can’t make this stuff up. Can they be so perverse as to think they can fire missiles at children and then just stop and insist that Israel not hit back? They intentionally target civilians and believe it is their religious duty to kill every Jew eventually. It is stated clearly in their Charter.(What part of obliterate don’t we understand?) Yet, they continue to demand that the world punish Israel. If you wrote a novel with such a storyline no one would find it credible.

You may have heard about some Muslim group or other calling for a “day of rage”. It happens a lot in Israel. Lately it has been all the rage, if you will excuse my pun, in places like Egypt, Jordan, Syrian, Libya and half a dozen more countries. (Try Googling day of rage and count the countries.) It is an expanding phenomena that is spinning out of control. So, Psalm 2 clearly sees our day. The nations rage because they hate Israel.
It is a vain thing on two levels. One, it is in vain, because the plot will fail. Second, it is vain in the sense of vanity. The arrogance and self importance of the enemies of Israel is breathtaking in its scope. As we have pointed out many times from Psalm 83, the plotters’ real enemy is God Himself. They can’t get to Him, so they try to kill His people. Remember that this will include Christians just as much as Jews. Israel is the little satan and America is the big one. There is a common saying among the terrorist Muslims: “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.”

Open your eyes America; wake up and stand up and speak up!

They Murder, We Build

Topic #1 Five In Israeli Family Murdered In Their Beds

Within 24 hours of the atrocity Israel announced it would build 500 new homes in Judea and Samaria, 100 homes for each of the 5 victims. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu soberly declared: “They murder, we build.”

Lost in the understandable worldwide coverage of the unfolding tragedy in Japan was the terrorist massacre in Israel of five family members. The most barbaric of attacks left a 3 month old infant with her throat slashed, her 5 year old brother stabbed through the heart. Her 11 year old brother and her mother and father also lay brutally butchered in their sleep in their own home, all with their throats slashed. Insane love of violence is erupting from the hearts of wicked men.

Arab residents of Hamas ruled Gaza celebrated with joy by handing out candies in the streets. The Palestinian Authority and world media referred to them not as Israeli’s but as “settlers” the murderers were only “alleged” terrorists

I ask you, what decision was made by an infant to “settle” anywhere? Israel for the first time released pictures of a terrorist attack with the slim hope that the world would wake up to the nature of those who would wipe Israel off the map. Remember that the Hebrew meaning of “hamas” is “violence”. (Read my earlier blog on the same theme.)

Topic #2 Uncanny Timing of Japan Tragedy

One year earlier to the very day, of the 9.1 earthquake and tsunami, Japan made this declaration: “The Government of Japan deplores the decisions of the Government of Israel to give permission for the construction of 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem in addition to 112 units in West Bank,” (Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs March 11, 2010).

God says those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. After Japan “deplores” Israel building houses, many thousands of homes are destroyed in Japan. For the past year, Japan had increased its anti-Israel rhetoric. We should soberly consider the connection..

The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do? But Yehovah is in his holy Temple; Yehovah still rules from heaven. He watches everything closely, examining everyone on earth. Yehovah examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates everyone who loves violence. Topic #1 Lebanon and Tunisia Fall

Iraq also, in spite of the efforts of the U.S., is destined to succumb to the Iranian Shiite version of radical Islam with the return of Muqtada al-Sadr to Iraq after four years of exile and training in Iran. Psalm 83 is literally on the horizon.

Topic #2 The Unhinged Fringe Is Not Our Enemy

The Arizona shooter was evidently not an activist from Left or the Right. It seems he acted out of the torment of insanity. Could such a person be set off by politics? Sure, but he could just as easily flip out over traffic or any other trigger. This event is so over analyzed that the nation has missed the critical events in Lebanon and Tunisia (above) that are changing the balance of power in the Middle East and perhaps the world.

The actual threat is not the occasional lunatic, but the deliberate preplanned attacks coming from radical Islam. The former is completely random and extremely rare. The latter, however, is intentional, organized and flows directly out of a coherent ideological theology, Islam. If only one per cent of Muslims are suicidal radicals it would be 15 million threats. Even one tenth of a per cent would unleash 150,000 suicide bombers on the earth. Our President maintains that we are not at war with Islam and never will be, yet Islam is at war with us. Gaza Rockets Kindergarten

Israel Retaliation Equals Aggression

Gaza shoots dozens of rocket in the last two weeks aimed at kindergartens, wounding a 14 yr. old girl. Abbas says if Israel retaliates it would harm the “peace process”. Give me a massive break. When will the world wake up to the difference between terrorist attacks intentionally targeting civilian children and Israel defending themselves by targeting the terrorist perpetrators? I’ve had it. Enough is enough.

The Palestinians deserve their own state? Right, and Jesus and Mary were Palestinians. Yes, they really claim that even though the name Palestina was not invented by the Romans for another 135 years in their attempt to stamp out the name of Judea (much like the prophecy of Psalm 83:4 applied to today’s events): They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

To those actually interested in truth, try this one. The new Palestine will not allow Jews to own land or even LIVE there. At the same time they have refused a new state more than once in recent years over the their demand that the Israeli state MUST allow seven million Arabs to move in to Israel with full Israeli citizenship. Do the math. Israeli now has less than six million Jews and a million and a half Arab citizens. Add seven million more and presto! No more Jewish state.

Topic # 1 Israeli’s RESTART Building Projects

The Yesha Council, representing all of the Israeli cities and communities in the so-called West Bank (Biblical Judea and Samaria), responded to the Monday terrorist murders of four adults and a baby in the womb by saying: “You Kill, We Build.” This comes four weeks before the end of the building moratorium. The last time I visited Israel we met with some wonderful people who lay their lives on the line for the Zionist dream. 300,000 Israeli’s now call the area home.

It is not primarily a political vision, it is spiritual. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob promised the land to Israel. It is His will. It is the only outcome, no matter what man says or does. I have often proclaimed: “The world has it’s eyes on the West Bank, but God has His eyes on the East Bank.” In the news, you would think the Jordan River is the only river in the world with only one bank. Keep your eyes on the other side of the Jordan. Topic #2 The NO PEACE Talks—Odds Stacked 4-1

There is zero possibility for the peace parley this week in DC to bring actual agreement. The prophetic voice of God is always way ahead of geopolitics. President Obama included Jordan and Egypt in the talks to stack the decks against Israel. Along with Abbas of the Palestinian Authority, when you add in Obama’s bias, the odds are four to one. Imagine every topic going around the table: Israel says no, the others say yes, yes, yes, yes. Israel says yes, the others say no, no, no, no!

Wars and Rumors of Wars

Topic # 1 Is The Sky Falling?

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Matthew 24:6

There is a tendency for prophecy buffs to want to put all of the last days prophecies into the same short time frame. However, this warning of Jesus informs us that even with wars multiplying the end is not quite at hand. There are multiple events between now and then.

We have predicted the Psalm 83 War to occur this summer, which still seems very possible. Yet, Israel’s closest neighbors are listed in that Psalm, while a completely different group is listed in Ezekiel 38-39. We conclude that these are two separate and distinct wars yet to come. It is sort of like an inner and outer beltline of a city. It looks to me like the first group has ceased to exist and the outer group steps up in Ezekiel. There is another very interesting observation. The inner country group is Arab Muslims, but the outer group is non-Arab Muslims.

Either way, Jesus says don’t be troubled, because the wars must happen before the end. So, fasten your seat belt as we approach these prophetic crossroads.

Topic #2 Deadline This Week for Israel’s Iran Attack

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton predicted on Fox News Friday that Israel would have to attack Iran by August 21 because Russia’s is about to fire up Iran’s first nuclear reactor. Once the fuel rods are loaded, “it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf.” (Newsmax)

Also looming is the deadline for the peace talks which are doomed to fail on Palestinian preconditions threatening Israel’s very existence and must therefore always be rejected.

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. A Rocket A Day

Topic # 1 Over 400 Rockets SINCE Gaza War

Nearly an average of one rocket has been fired every day since February last year. The Gaza War of January 2009 (called Operation Cast Lead by Israel) was entered into because of more than 7,000 rockets in the previous three years. That barrage was the Hamas answer to Israel withdrawing ten thousand Jewish residents from Gaza in a unilateral concession for peace. It did not work. It never does. Hamas does not want to hurt Israel, it wants to destroy Israel. It says so in their Charter. (By the way, the same clause is still in the Palestinian Authority Charter also, despite Arafat and now Abbas legally agreeing to remove it.)

Please remember that Hamas is an acronym for their Arabic name that conveniently also happens to be the Hebrew word for violence used many times in the Bible. They knew that when they chose Hamas as their name. They are not just people who do violent acts, they are the actual embodiment of the spirit of violence and I do mean it in the demonic spirit sense. Hamas occurs three times in Psalm 140 alone.

Topic #2 Ground Zero Mosque Fiasco

Recently 10,000 people gathered at Ground Zero to protest plans to build an Islamic Center and mosque at the 9/11 site. The basic insensitivity along with the historical pattern of Muslims building mosques at key sites of conquered enemies of Islam should be enough to ban it. However, beyond these and many other obvious proofs of a really, really bad idea, there is one final clincher.

This sign is from the Ground Zero Rally on June 6, 2010. You could insert a church or any other religion’s place of worship. The point is that only Islam is allowed in “pure” Muslim countries. Are we so blind to the

ever increasing evil encroachment of Islam on our shores? Wake up America!

Friends Don’t Demand

Topic # 1 Obama Demands Israeli Concessions

Israel and America have been friends for 62 years and today we demand Israel fall in line with the Obama agenda. This is not right. Here’s his list before negotiations:

1. Israel scale back security checkpoints to the level during the intifada when suicide bombers freely entered.

2. Israel release 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

3. Israel allow material into Gaza which will then be used for bombs.

4. Israel turn over entire cities to the Palestinian Authority.

5. Israel give a part of Jerusalem (Abu Dis) to the PA.

Here is the Obama list of demands for Palestinians:

1. Show up.

These demands on Israel are called “confidence building measures”, to convince Palestinians that Israel is serious about wanting peace. Would somebody explain why the total destruction of Israel as a state is still in the Palestinian Charter? The ridiculous international incident concocted by President Obama over legal building permits in Jerusalem, is well documented. The result is a new Palestinian uprising or intifada that some are calling the Obama Intifada, assigning the blame on him as the instigator.

The descendants of Ishmael currently occupy at least 800 times more land than descendants of Isaac. The 21 states of the Arab League routinely announce plans of building expansion. In Saudi Arabia alone, 555,000 housing units were built over the past several years. Ruth R. Wisse.

Topic #2 $12 Billion to PA—Where Did It Go?

Dr. Ghania Malhis, chair of the Economic Policy Research Institute in Ramallah, addressed the UN’s Seminar on Assistance to the Palestinians last week. She estimated foreign countries had donated a total of $12 billion to the PA since 1995. That figure did not include billions of dollars in aid provided by international aid groups such as UNRWA. Aid to the PA is increasing steadily. It received an average of one billion dollars a year between 2001 and 2005, $1.5 billion in 2007, $1.8 billion in 2009, and an estimated $2 billion is anticipated in 2010. And yet, Malhis said, after such enormous sums, the GDP is 13% lower than it was in 1999, and GDP per capita is down by 30%. “The Palestinian Authority has failed to address allegations of misuse of funds, power and mismanagement as well as a lack of accountability and transparency,” (INN) The leech has two daughters. ‘Give! When Did the West Bank Stop Being “Disputed Territory”?

Protests and escalating violence mark the Muslim response to Israeli PM Netanyahu nominating, for national heritage honors, two sites in ancient Judah (now called the West Bank by the world).

The national heritage sites registry designation is only a formality. Hebron has always been on “the list” of Jewish hallowed ground as the tomb of the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the very founders of Judaism.

Since the United Nations voted to allow the Israeli State to be established in 1948, the Arabs have disputed Israel’s right to exist. The UN designated ALL of the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean as Israel.

After several major wars between the parties, the land remains in dispute. In spite of all the peace talks, nothing has actually been legally decided. Yet, most world governments and media consider it a fait accompli that a Palestinian state will be carved out of this UN authorized Israeli land area. They behave as if the dispute is over, but Israel and Christian Zionists beg to differ.

Myopic historians neglect to remind us that the 1948 borders were the result of the first two state solution. The original British Mandate of 1917 was to give Israel three times the land area they eventually received. The Kingdom of Jordan was created to award the Arabs 78% of the original Mandate. This was intended to placate the Arabs who had conducted two intifadas before World War II.

Now, emboldened by the rise of Islam, the Palestinian Muslims demand another two state solution to divide Israel again. All subterfuge is gone. It is not about creating yet another Arab state, it is to eliminate Israel’s existence. Ignoring the irrelevant “Muslim silent majority”, those with the guns and missiles and power publicly call for Israel to be destroyed. This includes Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and others of Israel’s neighbors.

However, far above all the political bickering, there is a God in Heaven, named Yahweh, who calls the area His land, and He has a very clear position on this “disputed territory. His declaration is recorded by the Bible prophet Joel:

I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. (Joel 3:2)

A Gathering Storm From Iran

Israel seems destined to face a regional war this summer. Iran accuses Israel of preparing for a summer war, yet all signs point to Iran furiously building up its supply of arms to Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria. With Syria transferring military arms to Lebanon, the plot thickens. Charges and counter charges as well as denials by all parties fill the airwaves. The story is even gaining traction in the American press that has been preoccupied with the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Russia is in the picture with its sale of S-300 missiles to Iran.

Some prophecy buffs are talking of Armageddon, but this is not it. Psalm 83 describes a smaller regional war with Israel that precedes the epic final battles of the Apocalypse. My new book, Generation LAST, details the basis for this claim. The Second Lebanon War of 2006 was just the first salvo of this summer’s war.

The list of ancient nations in Psalm 83 is notable for the absence of Egypt. Both Jordan and Egypt have peace treaties with Israel. However, Jordan is in the list of those attacking and therefore the monarchy will probably fall to radical Palestinians who make up some 70% of Jordan’s population. A war of precisely these countries has not happened in history which points to future fulfillment.

Their goal is nothing less than the annihilation of Israel to the extent that the name of Israel is blotted out of human history. As ridiculous as this may sound, it is exactly prophesied in this text: “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.” Psalm 83:4 NLT.

Three non-negotiables that threaten Israel are:

1. Israel’s very existence.

2. The existence of Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital.

3. Israel’s sovereignty over the Temple Mount.

Prime Minister Netanyahu will not compromise on any of the three. Therefore since Israel’s neighbors will not compromise either, war is inevitable. I am speaking of the most likely scenario, but the picture could change drastically if Israel chooses to go at the head of the terrorist snake and attack Iran’s nuclear reactors.

The nations of the world are lining up in opposition to Israel at an alarming rate. The seismic plates are shifting in the Middle East and no peace plan can touch the spiritual dimensions of the coming earthquake. God has the final word and He gave it to us in Psalm 83.

Modern Western Christians live in a state of denial regarding certain uncomfortable facts in the real world. Here is another example of radical Islam failing as “the religion of peace and tolerance.” Consider the following quote.

Hamas digs up the bodies of Christians from Christian burial sites in the Gaza Strip claiming that they pollute the earth,” said Majed El Shafie, President of One Free World International, a human rights organization. Every three minutes a Christian is being tortured in the Muslim world, and in 2009 more than 165,000 Christians will have been killed because of their faith, most of them in Muslim countries. Topic #2 The Psalm 83 War: Coming Soon

Iran and Syria signed a mutual defense agreement on Sunday. This is an important step in the run up to the war prophesied in Psalm 83. Syria’s proxy, Hezbollah now effectively controls the military of Lebanon including all the arms supplied to the Lebanese Army by the US, according to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Jordan will soon be controlled by militant Palestinians loyal to Hamas. The net is tightening around Israel. I have been saying for several months to expect Israel to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities in December or January, and I still see it that way. But, whenever it comes, it will surely lead to a regional war. Pray for mercy all around.

(Please note that this Psalm is to God about His people.) Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
