ISRAEL E-CARD Volume 4 Issue 7 April 1, 2010
Topic # 1 Making Mountains Out of Molehills
The ridiculous international incident concocted by President Obama over legal building permits in Jerusalem, is well documented. The result is a new Palestinian uprising or intifada that some are calling the Obama Intifada, assigning the blame on him as the instigator.
The descendants of Ishmael currently occupy at least 800 times more land than descendants of Isaac. The 21 states of the Arab League routinely announce plans of building expansion. In Saudi Arabia alone, 555,000 housing units were built over the past several years. Ruth R. Wisse.
All nations ruled by Islam are, by definition, apartheid. All non-Muslims are segregated as second class citizens. Freedom of religion and speech is outlawed by Sharia law. Israel represents the antithesis of apartheid. James M. Hutchens-both quotes from: The Jerusalem Connection.
Topic #2 $12 Billion to PA—Where Did It Go?
Dr. Ghania Malhis, chair of the Economic Policy Research Institute in Ramallah, addressed the UN’s Seminar on Assistance to the Palestinians last week. She estimated foreign countries had donated a total of $12 billion to the PA since 1995. That figure did not include billions of dollars in aid provided by international aid groups such as UNRWA. Aid to the PA is increasing steadily. It received an average of one billion dollars a year between 2001 and 2005, $1.5 billion in 2007, $1.8 billion in 2009, and an estimated $2 billion is anticipated in 2010. And yet, Malhis said, after such enormous sums, the GDP is 13% lower than it was in 1999, and GDP per capita is down by 30%. “The Palestinian Authority has failed to address allegations of misuse of funds, power and mismanagement as well as a lack of accountability and transparency,” (INN) The leech has two daughters. ‘Give! Give!’ they cry. Proverbs 30:15 (JNN News).
They will call Jerusalem The Throne of Yahweh and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of Yahweh” … “Yahweh
Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will pass over it and will rescue it.” … “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy. Jeremiah 3:17; Isaiah 31:5; Ps. 137:5-6
Les, do you believe in the pre-trib Rapture of the church and that it is imminent? That nothing more, prophetically speaking, needs to occur before He returns for His Bride, the Church? That Daniel’s 70th week is indeed all about Israel?

When Jesus the Messiah comes we will all rise to meet Him in the air according to 1 Thessalonians 4:18: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
I take this literally and believe it is imminent. I preface everything I say about prophetic fulfillment with this disclaimer: “I could be wrong!” Therefore, I believe Jesus could come before breakfast. Having said that, I do see certain prophesies yet to be fulfilled, such as Isaiah 17:1 regarding the destruction of Damascus, which has never occurred in history. Yet even that could be happening as I type this. The last few chapters of my new book detail three such prophesies.
When the rapture occurs with regard to tribulation is a doctrinal line. From the point of few of tens of thousand of Christians now being martyred every year, it has already begun for them. The danger is to imply that all Christians will escape tribulation. I prefer to prepare as if I will go through it and be blessed if caught up to Jesus. I like the way Dave Wilkerson once put it: “I believe in the you can’t lose tribulation. If you are with Jesus, you can’t lose.”

Thanks for responding. I’ve been studying the end-times for 32 years. I am more convinced than ever that Jesus is coming at any moment. I see nary a church preaching this important doctrine of immanency.
In John Chapter 14, Jesus spoke to His disciples. In them, He knew they would understand His metaphors about the Jewish Wedding custom. They (and the subsequent believers) were betrothed to Him now (as in the custom). Upon that betrothal, the groom would go to His father’s house and build a wedding chamber for Him and His bride. As per the custom, the groom would never know the day or hour (“no man knoweth”) He was to go get His bride because this would happen only when His father would tell him to go get His bride. Again, as per the custom, the groom, upon being told to go get His bride, would proceed to her house. He would gather His friends, and they would accompany Him in the procession to the bride’s house. Frequently, the men in the procession would sound a trumpet and announce “the bridegroom cometh!”. The bride would prepare herself and go out to meet the groom outside of her home where He was waiting. He would then take her to the marital chamber He had been building and they would consummate their marriage and the resulting 7 day wedding feast! See the metaphor here?
Jesus and us are already betrothed to Him. Since He ascended, we have been in the “building phase” so to speak where Jesus has been building His mansion which we will share with Him. He will come only when the Father tells Him to where He will be proceeded by a shout and a trumpet! He will wait in the clouds where we will go to Him and then retreat to the wedding feast which will be 7 years! Whilst the Tribulation is going on on earth, we will be with the Lord! Also, as per Jewish custom, after we have consummated the marriage, He will come out with His bride to show the world that His bride is the Church! This will be at the 2nd Coming!
My friend, He is coming! And soon! I have found a lot of believers simply believing that this is “too good to be true” and feel they must somehow contribute works (by suffering in the tribulation) to their Salvation. This is not true however. If anything is too good to be true it is the FREE gift of Salvation!
The message that Jesus is coming at any moment is paramount! It helps us to live a pure life knowing that He could come at any moment!
I’ll leave it there for now in the interest of space/time but, Les, prayerfully consider this. Daniel’s 70th week is near. That will be the Lord God focusing on Israel and at the same time, judging a Christ rejecting world. At the same time, He has not forgotten those He loves. After the Rapture, He will send 2 witnesses (I believe to be Enoch and Elijah) who will preach for 3 1/2 years. After they are allowed to finally be slain by the AC, the Jews will now see that the AC was NOT the Messiah as they believed, and the Lord God will now bring forth 144,000 evangelicals from the 12 Tribes of His people to STILL give a chance to an unbelieving world! Oh how He still loves us! Why the need for the 2 Witnesses and the 144,000? The Church is GONE!!!
We are to “comfort one another with these words” and yet way too many churches do not do this. The devil certainly does not want this message to be preached! We need to stand our ground and shout it from the rooftops!
“The Bridegroom Cometh!!!”
