International Hypocrisy

The grossly shameful international hypocrisy about Syria cuts three ways. First is within Syria, the second is compared to Libya and third is exposed toward Israel.

1. Syria has seen over 11,000 citizens murdered by the government in one year. That’s the UN estimate, but by my reckoning it is closer to 20,000. The US, the UN, and the West in general have completely failed to intervene. Just yesterday, the UN monitor report revealed that when UN monitors leave, Syrian forces resume killing the next day.

2. Libya by comparison was bombed and invaded by special forces when Gaddafi only threatened to kill the rebels before he commenced. Syrian refugees, now in Libya, question the hypocrisy. How can the nations fail to act in Syria?

3. Israel is the third example of international hypocrisy. If one Palestinian is killed by the IDF, the whole world is apoplectic. This contradiction is obvious to Syrians. Massacres continue daily in Syria, but Israel is the terrible “occupier” of the “poor” Palestinians. This is what I would call disproportionate media! Even when no deaths are involved the world condemns Israel. This week three outposts were approved by Israel with this reaction:

EU slams Israeli legalization of 3 outposts – Europe’s condemnation of Israeli move in West Bank joins international chorus which includes US, UN, PA, France, Jordan.

Where is the “chorus” about Syria?

Of course, all of this fits into the Psalm 83 War scenario prophetically, but what of the people dying? Pray for mercy for them. Christians are among the most persecuted there.

Jordan, Part 2 Follow-up

My last post gave my reasons for Jordan teetering on the brink of its own Arab Spring. Another factor has come to light that needs understanding. Recently, an Imam in Jordan gave a militant mosque talk calling for the defeat of Jerusalem. This is the same mantra used in the other Arab revolutions of the past year.

Jordan’s army will destroy Israel and regain Jerusalem from the “killers of prophets” – that was the message a Jordanian cleric delivered in a Friday sermon on state TV, according to recently released video footage. (video and story, Jerusalem Post).

“The [Jordanian] army is invincible. Its units are filled with people who pray, with imams, and with people who memorized the Koran. This army will never be defeated, Allah willing,” Imam Ghaleb Rabab’a said in footage translated and released late last week by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

The danger of this call is that it directly contradicts the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel. This is a classic case of an irresistible force and an immovable object. Something has to give. These radical Muslim voices are effectively forming a shadow government in Jordan declaring the opposite course of the monarchy.

The Wall Street Journal published an expose’ on February 22, 2012: The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan For the first time in decades, activists openly seek to end the monarchy.

All of these developments point to the inevitable clash coming soon in Jordan. The culture of hatred spawned by pagan Islam has set the Middle East on fire. It is a fire that is not easily quenched. It permeates the very fabric of Arab Muslim culture. In the Palestinian Authority it is against the law to sell property to a Jew punishable by death! Since its inception in 1993 and its coming to power in 1995, the Palestinian Authority has maintained old Jordanian laws that made it a capital offense to sell property to Jews. Jordan On the Brink

Jordan has banned the Muslim Brotherhood in the Kingdom as a political party. The King is also trying to forge a separation between Jordanians and Palestinians. Psalm 83 comes into sharper focus with Jordan’s latest moves. King Abdullah II is feeling the heat of the Arab Spring. After maintaining a low profile in the year since the Arab Spring blossomed and then exploded in the Middle East, Jordan is now in the cross-hairs of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Jordanian Parliament did not ban the MB by name, but banned all political parties based on religion. This shrewd move cuts off the method of using a different name for the party as the Muslim Brotherhood did in Egypt, naming themselves the “Freedom and Justice Party”. In Gaza, the offshoot slowly became Hamas.

Some 70% of Jordan’s citizens are Palestinians, complicating the King’s dilemna. “In a surprise move, Jordan has decided to revoke the Jordanian citizenship of Palestinian Authority and PLO officials, sources in Amman disclosed Wednesday.” Will the Palestinian flag fly over Jordan?

In 2009, Amman quietly began revoking the Jordanian citizenship of thousands of Palestinians, triggering strong protests from human rights organizations and pro-Palestinian groups around the world. Over the past year, Jordan has witnessed increased demands for reforms and democracy. The “Arab Spring” that has been sweeping the Arab world has prompted thousands of Jordanians to take to the streets every week to demand real changes and freedoms. (Jerusalem Post)

Psalm 83 lists the countries attacking Israel in the next war, including Jordan. Since the King is pro-Western, something will happen to line up Jordan with the confederacy against Israel. This is another step in that direction. The King will do all he can to avoid it, but the Brotherhood will not take this ban easily. Expect more protests and increasing violence against the Kingdom of Jordan in the very near future. Pray for the safety and protection of King Abdullah and his family. He has been a good friend to the West.

In the end, however, it is Yehovah God and His plan that will prevail, as Daniel reminds us:

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness,and light dwells with Him. Daniel 2:20-22

Is G-D L-RD?

First I was ignorant, then I became annoyed. Now I am alarmed. Why do many Jews and some Christians put a dash in the place of the vowels in English words that refer to the God of the Bible? Why do they substitute generic terms such LORD in place of His knowable personal name?

The earthly reason is history. Jews, before Jesus, believed pronouncing the name of God could become blasphemy, so it was banned. I respect their intent and believe they will come around to using His name in the fulness of time, which is soon! (This is actually predicted in the Talmud.) Later, institutionalized Christendom gladly picked up the man-made tradition, intentionally obscuring the Hebrew roots of the faith.

The “under earth” motive is from satan’s wish to defeat Yehovah God and take His throne. He has opportunistically seized the moment today for further confusion through the rise of the false god of Islam. The name of that god is more well-known today than the name of Yehovah. I challenge you to notice the multitude of prophetic references to God “making His Name known” throughout the Bible. If He wants to make His name known, how come so few know His name?

Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name—and his son’s name? Tell me if you know! Proverbs 30:4 NLT

Thirdly, the Heavenly plan seems to be the judgment of God. He has allowed His name to be obscured until now in the appointed last generation. His name has four Hebrew letters expressed in English as YHVH. This personal name of God is used 6,828 times in the Hebrew text. Yet, Jews will not utter it and Christians miss-translate it.

Most Bibles have His holy name simply as the generic terms, GOD and LORD. This is code for YHVH (explained in the Preface of most Bibles) from the translators who must think we cannot handle His real name. These mere titles are written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, and we are supposed to know it is His name. I have an idea. Why not actually use His name? Yehovah! It makes your Bible reading come alive. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11

If we heard Paul say those names out loud in Hebrew, I believe it would be this: Yeshua ha Meshiach is Yehovah. Jesus, the Messiah, is Yehovah.

Finally, back to G-D and L-ORD. It is time folks! It is time for all Bible believers to start using His personal name. I call for all to prayerfully consider this appeal. Islam is the direct opposing force. What a surprise when folks find out that “the great satan” turns out to be the god of Islam. Choose this day where you will stand. The great cosmic rebellion from eternity is about to end. We have read the end of the Book and we win! Satan is futilely pulling out all the stops to defeat Yehovah, but has already lost. It was over when Jesus died and rose from grave. His blood satisfied the price demanded by a just God. Jesus’ submission to His Father overcame the self-will model perpetrated by the devil.

The Hebrew Scriptures don’t say “praise the LORD”, they say Praise Yehovah! (Praise Yah!) There are many lords and many gods, but only one true Yehovah. Choose you this day which one you will serve. As for me and my family, we choose to serve Yehovah and Yeshua ben Yehovah who we know as Yehovah the Father and Jesus the Son of Yehovah.

Messiah Died

(The following is an excerpt from my newest book, Generation LIFE Chapter 1 – Jesus is Alive, being published this summer.)

JESUS DIED

Do you believe in Him, I mean, do you really believe Him? Do you follow Him? Do you have a deep desire in your innermost being to be like Him? I want to know all I can know about Jesus. Getting to know Him personally is really possible. Do you know Him?

Do you believe He really died? Or do you think He just sort of passed out and then woke up a little later? If Jesus didn’t die, we are still in our sin. Guilty! I want to talk about His resurrection LIFE, but first we need to get this. Jesus really died. He was dead. He was so dead that He Himself could not come back to life. We need to understand this. It was not a charade. When He gave up His last breath, He was utterly dependent on the faithful true Promise of His Father to live again. That is why this chapter is named: Jesus is Alive. Of course He was eternally alive and existed with the Father before Creation, and He is alive now. But between, for three days, He was dead.

You may think it strange to begin a book about life with a dead Jesus. But, if you don’t know that He died and why He died, you are missing the best part. Yes, it is the resurrection, but it is meaningless if He did not die. Jesus died, and on the third day, rose again. Hallelujah! I really want to talk about His life. But we must understand His death to appreciate the all-encompassing glory of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Jesus did not then, nor does He now possess some super power called “resurrection power”. If it were up to Him, He would still be dead. As we will soon see, Jesus is LIFE, He is resurrection LIFE. It is His own personal experience of redemption from death. Here is a verse to confirm how He was raised back to life.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you Romans 8:11.

So Jesus was dead and was resurrected by the Holy Spirit of God. We know that Jesus lived by the Spirit and was raised by the Spirit. Therefore, through His ultimate trust in Yehovah, the Father, He qualified to die for all who believe in His finished work. I honestly believe in Him, do you?

He is no longer in the grave, He arose from the dead. Jesus is alive!

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

Changing the Subject

Seeing with Elisha’s eyes is the theme and the name of our ministry, Elisha Vision. Man always looks at the outward while God looks at the heart. We are transitioning from the days of Elijah to the days of Elisha, as explained in my book, Generation LIGHT.

Satan, on the other hand, always changes the subject. Today in America one such example is the great healthcare debate over the Obamacare law, focused on insurance, medicine and money, and government control of each. But, seeing the spiritual scene is the real focus of the believer. What does Yehovah God want us to see?

One of my mentors, Arthur Burt of Wales, turns 100 years old next month. He still travels the world preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He carries a vision for health. Let me explain. Man is looking at healthcare. Christians look at healing, but God is revealing a vision for health.

Do we need healthcare when sick? Sure. Do we believe Jesus can heal us? Yes, we do. But, what if our faith would expand as we grow from “faith to faith” to the degree that we walk in health? What if we could see our way through Yeshua haMashiach (Jesus, the Messiah), to simply be healthy and not even get sick? What a concept!

My prayer is that believers set our sights on the highest vision. Man is three parts: body, soul, and spirit. Most of the attention is on the body and soul, but God gives us eyes to see something far better. I am talking about this life. Of course we will all be healthy in heaven, but God gives us faith for today. Are you with me? It is time to mature our faith.

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then Yehovah answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. “Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:1-4

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17

I see in this last generation, an explosion of faith in true believers. Yes, the world is sinking into a great darkness, but we are arising in the light of the glory of God. Candles are for dark places. The world needs to see light. Both Jew and Gentile will see the light of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The blind must open their eyes in this hour. Wake up! Stand up! Speak up! The Kingdom of God is at hand.

Global March on Jerusalem

Ok, so all the news from Israel is about the Global March to Jerusalem. Prayer vigils were held in the Holy City tonight for the onslaught expected tomorrow, March 30. There are calls from Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, most Arab countries, most Muslim countries and many more sympathetic countries and groups around the world. They are calling for one million people to simple walk across the Israel borders, all the way to Jerusalem. About 1500 are even staging a fly in flotilla. What could possibly go wrong? This has been planned for months as in the graphic (seen here) of a poster that is all over the Arabic speaking world.

Some of those are calling for non-violence, but some are for violence. Attempted last year, it ended in a fizzle. We are praying the same happens this time. Israel has made extensive preparations to minimize trouble, but will it be enough? The same old accusations are the basis of the march, which can be reduced to the desire to see Israel disappear.

In a case of interesting timing, this week the Obama Administration refused to call Jerusalem, Israel’s Capital. Was is co-incidental timing or subtle encouragement to the marchers?

How does this fit into prophecy? Surprise, surprise! It comes right out of Psalm 83, both the “tumult” and “that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” But, don’t forget, that the hatred is against Yehovah. They can’t get to God, so they attack the apple of His eye. If you want to know how to pray, then just open up your Bible to Psalm 83 and pray that Psalm! We normally read for devotion, or doctrine, or information; but the best way to read the Scriptures is as an intercessor. Pray for the exact outcome that God has already declared. What a concept!

Fort Hood Double Standard

It has been two and a half years after the Fort Hood murders of 14 US soldiers and civilians (including a baby in its mother’s womb), and the wounding of 29 in Killeen, Texas. There has been no trial and they are still trying to decide if Major Hasan is sane. Meanwhile, a couple of weeks ago, a US solider snapped in the Afghanistan war zone killing 17 civilians and he is charged with the death penalty. This weekend our government has already paid $50,000.00 for each death which fulfills the requirement of Sharia Law.

What is wrong with this picture? The Muslim psychiatrist in Texas openly called for jihad against America and shouted A–ah Akbar as he systematically shot and killed unarmed people. Meanwhile, Sgt Bales who had a brain injury suffered in earlier combat has been tried, convicted and sentenced by the media in only weeks.

Make no mistake, I am not defending the actions of Sgt. Bales. But where is the justice in comparing the two situations? Isaiah 59 is quite to the point. The whole chapter is good, but here are a few selected quotes.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity. (3-4).

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.Then Yehovah saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; (14-16).

According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; the coastlands He will fully repay. So shall they fear the name of Yehovah from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of Yehovah will lift up a standard against him. “The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” says Yehovah. (18-20).

French Gunman

(Disclaimer: Please recognize that I am attempting satire with this post to expose the ridiculous lengths the media will go to, trying to avoid any mention of radical Islam.)

Oh my! What a racist and sexist headline. Everyone knows it was a “European Citizen of the World Person” who gunned down three Jewish children and a Rabbi in France last Monday. Can you believe they actually included his gender and nationality in the news? Scandalous! (Later we find that he was of “Algerian descent”, and, oh by the way, he identified himself as part of al-Qaeda.) Now we must have years of analysis to discover his motive. Whatever could have possibly brought a decent 23-year-old Muslim al-Qaeda operative from the suburbs to randomly murder four people who co-incidentally just happened to be Jewish when he attacked a school that just randomly turns out to be a Jewish school. Why could he have done this? He must have had a troubled childhood, maybe he was bullied in school.

OK. Enough! Seriously folks, we face a serious media bias with radical Muslim anti-Semitic anti-Zionist terrorist murderers. But most media reporters just can’t get their finger to hunt and peck out those words on their keyboard. At least there were a few with courage.Consider this quote from Melanie Phillips:

And even when the perpetrator turned out to be an Islamic terrorist the media were still trying to spin it away, with Sky News stressing the deprivation of the killer and his family and interviewing a French female journalist living in London who claimed that this was ‘an attack against diversity’. (Jewish World Review)

Another problem is selective prosecutions. An example occurred recently at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Jewish fraternity members had their tires slashed and Nazi swastikas keyed into their cars. However, the authorities are investigating it as vandalism, not as a hate crime.

Also, Christians are now being attacked in many parts of the world. Consider this headline:Destroy All Churches and the first paragraph:

Is it not news when Saudi Arabia’s leading religious authority meets with a terrorist group and says that?

Again I say, it is time to wake up, stand up and speak up! This is not a time to slumber. The world is on fire. Be a watchman on the wall. Sound the shofar!

Israeli Spring

Over 300 rockets and mortars rained down on Israel last week. Why isn’t this news in the Western media? With an on again, off again cease-fire, Gaza is again spreading terror in southern Israel. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Turkey incredibly says: Israel must stop ‘massacre’ of Palestinians in Gaza. We live in an upside down world, where evil is good and good is evil. Yet, Gaza in clearly in God’s focus. There is some unfinished business for Gaza in prophecy.

Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7

An important key to understanding Gaza is given in Zephaniah 2:1-7:

Seek Yehovah, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of Yehovah’s anger.

The timing of this prophecy is repeated in verse 2 and 3, as “the day of Yehovah’s anger.” I have often proposed a response to the New Age bumper sticker: “Visualize World Peace.” My alternative bumper sticker is: “Visualize the Wrath of God!” This is not a mean-spirited or fleshly idea, but rather the real order of things. Before we will see true world peace, we will see the judgment of God against violence and evil. Israel will only know true peace when they recognize that Jesus (Yeshua Sar Shalom) is the only real prince of peace. They will surely one day say to Him: “Baruch ha ba hashem Yehovah! – Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yehovah.

Zephaniah 2:5, which identifies Gazans as “Cherethites” is literally: executioners, or assassins! It would seem a simple step to understanding this reference as an ancient way of describing the suicide/homicide bombers of today’s Hamas in Gaza. Remember that “hamas” is not only the acronym for Hamas, but is also the Hebrew word for violence.

Finally, Zephaniah pictures Gaza after the judgment as a place where shepherds tend their sheep and a place for the remnant of the house of Judah.

Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Yehovah is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you; so there shall be no inhabitant. The seacoast shall be pastures, with shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there; in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For Yehovah their God will intervene for them, and return their captives. Zephaniah 2:5-7

Israel faces a very threatening Spring this year. We speak often about the Psalm 83 War. The judgement on Gaza is very likely a major component. We need to be faithful watchmen on the wall, calling on God to defend Israel His chosen as He fulfills His prophetic word.

Lost In Translation

For some time now I have listened to the voice of Yehovah God regarding a bombshell controversy in the Bible translation business. Here is the issue in a nutshell. Three major translators today are substituting the name of the god of Islam for Yehovah in Bibles intended for Muslim countries in their own languages. Their rationale is to make it more acceptable to their readers. On the surface, it may sound like a good evangelistic plan.

However, if you trick people into reading the Bible by deceiving them about the nature of God, you confuse rather than convert. Many moderns think Islam is some great complex religion, impossible to grasp. Allow me to simplify. The god of Islam is not a father and does not have a son, according to all their holy books and writings. This is indisputable from their own sources. The God of the Bible is a father and has a son revealed in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

What does this conclude? The god of Islam is a different god. Period. Full stop. Selah.

Therefore, we do not “all worship the same god” no matter how many people, how high their place (including pastors and presidents) say otherwise. It really is that simple. You need go no further. You do not need 20 hours of comparative religion classes to “understand” Islam. You need to read your Bible. What part of: “You shall have no other gods before me” don’t you get? Exodus 20:3

The translation deception is only possible, because for millenia translators have refused to translate the name of God, Yehovah, conforming instead to Jewish rabbinic tradition. They substitute the generic LORD (in all caps) for His name. Yehovah is His personal name, mentioned 6,828 times in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. Try reversing the substitution in your own reading. Say Yehovah every time it says LORD. You will open up an artesian well of revelation through Scripture.

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

I will declare the decree: Yehovah has said to Me, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” Psalm 2:7

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:12

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

The Point At Which Israel Bombs Iran

Misinformation is a big part of military action, especially when a “surprise attack” is best. A few weeks ago Leon Panetta, US Secretary of Defense and head of the Pentagon, announced that Israel would attack Iran’s nuke targets in April, May or June. At the time I thought: Why doesn’t he go ahead and release the target list with GPS coördinates so Iran can defend themselves? A few days ago an anonymous source from the Pentagon actually listed potential targets (without coördinates). We live in a world that has gone crazy. Most observers believe this is all part of the Obama Administration trying to block or at least slow Israel’s plans.

The good news is that Prime Minister Netanyahu made it quite clear Monday (full speech video) that Israel would not yield its security decisions to any other nation. We do not know the mind of God, but we must pray in accordance with His revealed Biblical purpose to restore and protect Israel. He has not regathered them from 180 nations just to kill them. That is satan’s false hope, it is not in the heart of the God of Israel. He has raised them up as a nation to make His name know to the entire world. In the end, God is God and the nations are mere mortals.

Make them tremble in fear, O Yehovah. Let the nations know they are merely human. Psalm 9:20 NLT

Assad’s Boast

The billboard in the 2006 photo above says: Al–h (the god of Islam) will protect Syria. So there is no mistake about the intent, it is on the old city wall of Damascus. I beg to differ. What we have here is a direct affront to the living God of Israel. The banner includes the picture of Assad, the dictator of Syria. Even dictators get religion when the chips are down. Yet, Yehovah made it quite clear in Isaiah 17 that the time will come when no one will save Damascus, it will cease from being a city!

This message came to me concerning Damascus: “Look, the city of Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins.” Isaiah 17:1 NLT

Assad is not the first arrogant dictator to lose a challenge to the living God Yehovah. At the end of the Age….it comes down to Yehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the living God of Israel against all false gods and philosophies of men. According to the immutable Word of the living God, we will soon see if the god of Islam can protect Damascus. Yehovah is a jealous God and He will have no other gods before Him. Period.

Not unto us, O Yehovah, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. Why should the Gentiles say, “So where is their God?” But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear; noses they have, but they do not smell. They have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them. Psalm 115: 1-8

Exercise: For a deeper view of using the name of Yehovah, the one true God, please read Psalm 135 and notice that in only twenty-one verses, the personal name, Yehovah, is used nineteen times. (Of course, it is hidden because it says LORD in all caps, not honestly translating the actual name, Yehovah.) This is nineteen of the 6,828 times His personal name appears in the Hebrew text, but is diluted, obscured and hidden by using the vague terms LORD or GOD which could apply to any god. It is time to use His name again! Yehovah is the name of our God! It is amazing how the Bible comes alive when you make this slight correction in your reading. We do not all worship the same God. Don’t be deceived, brothers and sisters.

Don’t Feed the Animals

The food stamp program, part of the Department of Agriculture, is pleased to be distributing the greatest amount of food stamps ever in its history.

Meanwhile, the Park Service, also part of the Department of Agriculture, asks us to “Please Do Not Feed the Animals,” because the animals may grow dependent and not learn to take care of themselves. (Thanks to Dave McCurdy for this.)

Does anyone notice a disconnect here?

This bothers me on three levels. First, is the obvious fact that our government is systematically creating total dependence on its services. Between welfare and government employees, 50% of Americans now depend directly on the government for their “daily bread”. The transfer from depending on God to man is breathtakingly arrogant, and is accelerating.

Second, this creates a “demanding spirit”. Derek Prince, Bible teacher and mentor, used a profound phrase: “You can never satisfy a demanding spirit”. A genuine, sincere request can be answered. But once people get something for nothing, they always want more. Hell and Destruction are never full; So the eyes of man are never satisfied. Proverbs 27:20 There is a satanic spirit behind the demands. It is also illustrated in the demands of terrorists. All attempts to meet their demands are only answered with more demands. Appeasement is a dead end.

Third, never cast your pearls before swine. Jesus taught, that not valuing your gestures, they would turn and attack you! Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you. Matthew 7:6

There is a place for food stamps for truly needy people, but it should have the goal of independence rather than unending dependence. The same can be said of nearly unlimited unemployment benefits. There are now operational plans where the benefits lead to actual employment. For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Don’t Rock the Boat

As I prepare to record this Sunday’s YouTube “prophecy in the news” update for Issachar Forum, I am struck by the great divide between news reports from Israel and the Western media. This great Dry Bones cartoon illustrates my point. Iran is threatening Israel, the US, and the West in general at every turn. They are building nukes, ICBMs and promising to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Our response? We tell Israel to cool their jets. The world is on fire and we are yanking on the reins of our greatest friend and Middle East ally. The Western “boat” really is sinking in fear and we cry out to Israel: “Don’t rock the boat!”

Another example was in today’s news coverage. I read several stories on the Jerusalem Post site detailing the murder of a US Colonel and a Major in Afghanistan by Taliban protesting the accidental burning of a Koran this week. Then I went over to the Fox News Live site for more info and only found a story with this headline: 2 NATO troops killed at ministry, Afghan officials say. The article only identifies them as “two high-ranking US military advisers”. Couldn’t somebody at Fox read the Jerusalem Post before writing their report? I warn you. If you only read American news sources, you will be ignorant of what is really happening in the world.

I am reminded of the famous quote by Mark Twain:

If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed.

If you read the newspaper, you’re mis-informed.

No Other Gods!

Most Christians and Jews completely understand and respect the first commandment to have “no other gods” before Yehovah. Yet, many in the Western nations, including America, have opened up their thinking to other gods in the name of tolerance. This makes me want to ask, “What part of ‘no other gods’ don’t you get?”

It is only recently that I have found a more specific prohibition on the subject. You may have noticed by now that I refuse to say or write the name of the god of Islam. It is because the Bible prohibits it! What if we in America or at least believers were to obey the following four scriptures? Notice how the Holy Spirit progressively adds another component to the prohibition with each verse.

Here is the prohibition repeated in FOUR SCRIPTURES!

First, in Exodus: And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth (Exodus 23:13).

Then, secondly, Joshua adds three more conditions.

You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them, but you shall hold fast to Yehovah your God, as you have done to this day (Joshua 23:7).

The way a person converts to Islam is by standing in a public place and swearing allegiance to the god of Islam and his messenger, Mohammed. The next step is to serve that god and bow down to it. You have seen many examples of Muslims doing that even in public five times a day. I am ashamed to say that (in April 2009) in a widely publicized picture, President Obama, who professes Christianity, bowed down 90 degrees from the waist to the King of Saudi Arabia, who is the religious custodian/keeper of Mecca.

The third scripture introduces another aspect, blood, which especially applies to Islam. This blood thirsty death cult delights in the shedding of blood in the name of their god. Hence, we hear the perverse oath proclaimed by every suicide bomber before detonation, that his god is the greatest.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips (Psalm 16:4).

Fourth, Hosea adds a final point. Not only will we not speak their names, but eventually their names will not even be remembered.

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more (Hosea 2:17).

Psalm 83:4 highlights an amazing contrast: They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Satan does not have an original creative thought in his head. He can only twist and pervert what God says or does. So his plan to remove the remembrance of Israel is nothing more than a copycat idea from the truth that satan and all his false gods face in eternity.

Now therefore, fear Yehovah, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve Yehovah! (Joshua 24:14)

Freedom of Religion Aborted

President Barack Obama regularly bypasses the basic US Constitution intentionally. His record of appointing czars (without seeking congressional confirmation), suing states, questionable executive orders, selling guns to Mexican cartels and of course, Obamacare itself, are not accidental. He is openly fulfilling his stated agenda which is to “fundamentally transform America.”

Now, a new frontal assault on freedom of religion. And, yes, this is written after his “accommodation.”

There is no shred of difference between the two policies. If the religious entity must pay for insurance that includes mandates in direct conflict with its official church faith, it is totally meaningless to suggest that they are not paying directly for the coverage. The insurance company will absolutely include its cost to provide the extra mandate in the overall cost of insurance to the church. There is no option for the church to buy from another provider, because it is mandated that all companies include the “free” coverage.

Also, it makes no difference if we were talking about providing aspirin instead of contraceptives. “It’s the mandate, stupid!” If aspirin was against church faith, the government cannot force them to pay for its provision in insurance. This is why the issue is freedom of religion and not women’s rights. The same mandate issue frames the unconstitutionality of Obamacare.

The original pioneers to America came to escape religious persecution and to find freedom to practice their various faiths without government interference. Have we forgotten that the European world 300 years ago was controlled by state churches? They killed people who did not belong to the state church, or at least made them second class citizens. Freedom of religion must be understood in that context. It means freedom to practice religion without government control (or MANDATES).

It just happens to be the very first clause in the very first amendment:

AMENDMENT I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Mandating coverage, even in the President’s “accommodation,” directly prohibits the free exercise of religion. End of story.

Thank God for the many leaders of several faiths who are awake to the threat and who will resist this cancellation of our basic rights. We are in an ideological war. Wake up and smell the coffee. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Super Bowl Analogy Revisited

My last (guest) post matched the previous highs of visits to this blog commentary site. Such interest deserves this follow-up. Again, I thank Melinda Fuschetto for her article. I have had good comments both pro and con to the analogy, by phone, email and two good ones on the article comment section. What is your opinion? Please comment at the end of this post.

Now the game is history, won by the Giants. The broad picture of the teams and colors and previous game context made an intriguing meditation. If her vision was about the game, the “wrong” team won. However, if the real purpose was to wake up people to the major challenge of this election; then it was quite profound.

One friend emailed a link to the many reports quoting the wife of the losing quarterback in a shameful and profane rant against other NE Patriot team members. The lesson of her outburst is that true American Patriots during this election need to stand in righteousness. The tiny issue of the game is dwarfed by the sober reality of the choice that will soon be made by this nation.

Many voices are saying that this election is the most important in our lifetime. We better get right with God. Believers actually will decide the outcome in two ways.

First, we must once again repent before God (as we did in the late ’70s): If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Notice both the call and the promise are for God’s people to act, to do something!

The end of the Carter Presidency nearly ruined our nation, but for the mercy of God. This year we are facing an even more desperate national condition. We are staring over a precipice that could be the end of the Untied States of America. Socialist, Marxist, Communist and even worse, Islamist forces are clamoring at the gates. Some have already embedded in the highest positions of power in government, media and academia. PRAY! REPENT! and then STAND for righteousness.

Second, God’s people must vote. If we all listen for God’s voice by the Holy Spirit, and then obey His leading in the voting booth; His choices will be elected all up and down the line. When a king rules a nation, that entire nation is judged by the king’s decisions, as in ancient Israel. However, we are not in a monarchy, but a republic. Our decisions combined determine our national destiny.

Finally, of course, the outcome is in Yehovah God’s Hand. We are fast-moving toward the greatest monarchy of Jesus, Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah!

The prophet Daniel got it right:

Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.” Daniel 2:20-21

May God have mercy on our land. What do you think?

Prophetic Super Bowl?

1. COLORS

I see a battle for our nation. Both the Patriots and the Giants wear variations of RED, WHITE, and BLUE uniforms. I also see a political significance in this presidential election year.

2. BATTLE: PATRIOTS vs. GIANTS

Patriot: 1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion. 2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.

The Israelite “patriots” took their land of promise through battle against the GIANTS in the land! By defeating the giants, those patriots won their NATION’S inheritance!

David took out Goliath with a stone and cut off the GIANT’S head — a victory for the NATION. A giant victory for this Israelite patriot, a man after God’s own heart.

The USA has giants that need to be defeated by those who love our country. We need the army of God to arise in prayer! Our victory will be determined by whether or not we are men after God’s own heart. LORD, make us so!

3. REMATCH

This 2012 Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Giants is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. FOUR YEARS AGO, THE GIANTS WON. So in election year 2008, the Patriots lost to the Giants. Obama (giant government) won the election that year…the underdog Giants upset the undefeated Patriots. Likewise, Obama came out of nowhere to win the election.

This 2012 Super Bowl has the same quarterbacks and same coaches, on both teams, as in 2008. And the same political and spiritual/moral battle is being fought again in our nation.

Sadly in July the Patriots’ owner, Robert Kraft, lost his wife to cancer. The players are each wearing a patch with Myra’s initials. Myra means fragrant, as coming from myrrh. It’s like the Patriots have anointed themselves with myrrh by wearing the patch. Myrrh = bitter, Biblically: used as incense on the Golden Altar (altar of incense and prayer to Yehovah, located in the Tabernacle Holy Place); used as medicine (related to Balm of Gilead); a spice used in embalming; Magi gift to infant Jesus (the great Intercessor and Healer), and used for PURIFICATION of the bride, Esther :12. The picture we are to see is a fragrance to the LORD, even of the Bride, through PURIFICATION.

Sports commentators call the Giants “late-bloomers” this season. Current political polls show a closer race than expected against Barack Obama.

4. LOCATION

This year’s Super Bowl will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium, in Indianapolis. When I see the word, OIL, I think of the anointing.

Lucas means arising to Him. I personally see the significance of the stadium name, Lucas Oil, as anointing, arising to God. The imagery of an altar fire reminds us of myrrh and the Golden Altar.

The word “altar” literally means the place of slaughter or sacrifice. (I have nothing against the Giants football team, but if this is a prophetic picture of the battle for our nation, then I sure hope the Super Bowl sees the giants in our land slaughtered!)

5. DATE: FEBRUARY 5, 2012

The date is significant also. 5 is the number of grace. 12 is the number of G-d’s government (02/5/2012 = 2+5+2+1+2=12) February means PURIFICATION. Remember, myrrh was used for purification of the bride. Esther 2:12 It would be His grace and would purify us, too, to have G-d’s government.

6. SUPER BOWL 46

The number ten (4+6=10) marks the culmination of what came before it and a new beginning. This marks the end of one season and the beginning of another. I confess that I would like to see the Patriots win, as an encouraging sign for the coming elections and for God’s government to be established in the White House.

Will our next season be better, or worse?

The last time the Giants and Patriots met was Super Bowl 42. 4+2=6. Six is the number of man. I WANT OUR NEXT SEASON TO BE GOD’S GOVERNMENT!

PRAY! It has been TEN years since the terror attacks of 9/11/2001. Are we entering a new season? Many consider 9/11 to have been America’s wake-up call; that the judgment of God was on our doorstep. It was the loud, shaking call to REPENT. Have we?

Prophetic voices continue to warn of judgment coming to the USA. Repentance from our wicked ways is in no way complete. In the past, I have heard Yehovah say: Judgment must still come. Even so, I believe that our nation’s REPENTANCE can lessen the judgment.

And if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it. Jeremiah 18:8 ESV

So are we about to face more widespread and greater judgment? Or are the prayers of the remnant being heard and answered? It may be both.

As painful as judgment is, it could very well be the answer to our prayers for the nation to return to God. Even in judgment against a nation, God’s people can be blessed, protected and spared; and even increased.

I pray for GODLY LEADERSHIP for our nation. I pray for REVIVAL. I pray MERCY. But no matter what else I pray, I want the WILL OF GOD above all things — His WILL, HIS WAY, HIS TIMING.

I confess that I would like to see the Patriots win, because I would see it as a sign and would be encouraged for the coming elections and for God’s government to be established in the White House and in the Capitol.

Gold For Oil

While no one was looking, India decided to ignore the embargo on Iran’s oil sales by buying directly with gold payments. Oil markets are stunned! This has the potential for totally collapsing the US economy and probably the entire western world economic system. Here is a DEBKAfile Exclusive Report:

India is the first buyer of Iranian oil to agree to pay for its purchases in gold instead of the US dollar, debkafile’s intelligence and Iranian sources report exclusively. Those sources expect China to follow suit. India and China take about one million barrels per day, or 40 percent of Iran’s total exports of 2.5 million bpd. Both are superpowers in terms of gold assets.

By trading in gold, New Delhi and Beijing enable Tehran to bypass the upcoming freeze on its central bank’s assets and the oil embargo which the European Union’s foreign ministers agreed to impose Monday, Jan. 23. The EU currently buys around 20 percent of Iran’s oil exports.

The vast sums involved in these transactions are expected, furthermore, to boost the price of gold and depress the value of the dollar on world markets. (Read full article here)

The last phrase is the point. If oil goes off the dollar standard, the US loses one of its most important international positions. It is another result of the failure of the US Administration to project strength. Weakness instead, has produced this crises and put us on the brink of economic chaos.

Two examples illustrate my point. First, every time President Obama tries to “talk” to Iran it only buys them more time to pursue their agenda, both for oil, and for nuclear weapons. Second, our President refuses to allow the new Keystone XL oil pipeline to connect Canadian oil to Houston, further weakening our global position. Canada would sell their oil to China if we default on the pipeline. We have enough oil and natural gas to completely stop buying Middle East oil. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters “with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” Revelation 17:1-2

There is a major transition underway in the Church. For several decades the emphasis has been on the Elijah anointing of struggle against false gods, and the restoration of Fatherhood. Today, however, we have moved into an era of seeing more clearly in the Holy Spirit dimension, just as Elisha’s servant saw God’s answer in the chariots of fire surrounding the Syrian army. Read the story in 2 Kings 6. My latest book, Generation LIGHT, examines the transition from Elijah to Elisha: seeing what God sees.

Book One the GENERATION Series, was Generation LAST, on why we are now in the last generation of history as we know it. The conclusion expounded Isaiah 60 and the glory of Yehovah given to His people at one of the darkest hours of world history. Glory is expressed some 15 times in the first five verses of Isaiah 60 as arise, shine, glory seen, and even the word light.

Perhaps the most important key word is radiant, found in verse 5. We do not simply reflect God’s glory, we radiate His glory: Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart will swell with joy; Isaiah 60:5.

Jesus is the light of the world. Generation LIGHT reveals His glorious light expressed in supernatural power enabling us to swim against the rising tide of the enemy of our souls. The result is not only survival, but also an overcoming authority: to heal, to save, and to set captives free. This is the day of resurrection power as exemplified first in Elisha, then Jesus, and finally in the last generation, through Israel and the Church. While this book accentuates “seeing” as the prerequisite LIGHT, the GENERATION Series concludes with Book Three, declaring the resurrection power released in this last generation. Generation LIFE is coming this Spring (Lord willing).

Exploits!

Yehovah God let the prophet Daniel see today’s news, over 2,500 years ago. What was Daniel’s revelation about the 21st Century? He was not seeing only destruction, but victory. Many Christians have heard at least something about the great vision of history that God gave to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. It was interpreted by Daniel. God revealed the major kingdoms of history, even including the kings of the last generation. But just look at the result: God’s King and Kingdom fill the whole earth!

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Daniel 2:44

That gives us the big picture, but what about the personal view? How will each believer act in the end times? We have already talked about being children of light, not surprised as the world will be, when Jesus returns as a thief in the night. But Daniel gives us another piece. When the antichrist is in power, He will deceive many by his flattery. Yet this will not be the case for believers who know God.

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Daniel 11:32

The Hebrew word translated great exploits means function or do. In other words, believers will be able to function when the world becomes dysfunctional with fear and panic at the unfolding events. That is certainly good news and a reason for our hope. We will be watching, sober, awake and functioning even at the worst of times. We have read the end of the Book. Jesus wins! And He lives in us! Christ living in us is our hope of glory.

I am praying that we all see what God sees with “Elisha Eyes” and radiate His glory and His joy! This is the only way to function effectively in today’s dysfunctional world.

The Right to be a Human Shield

Look closely at this cartoon by Dana Summers of the Orlando Sentinel. Notice the terrorist hiding under the burka of the woman. This is an accurate caricature of the actual policy of Hamas in Gaza as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. You can also see it throughout the Muslim world from Egypt to Iran and Pakistan. Muslim terrorists take human shields to a whole new level. There have even been multiple instances of men homicide bombers dressing in burkas to get through checkpoints.

In this country, we worry that gasoline may reach five dollars a gallon. In Muslim lands under Sharia Law, people fear for their lives. Women have virtually no rights or freedoms. My commentary today titled: The Right to be a Human Shield, is because I want to highlight the plight of women in those countries. A second point cries out, however. Where are the feminists speaking out about this women’s rights issue? Liberals and this Administration attack Israel for building houses in their capital city, but are silent about life and death women’s issues in Hamas ruled Gaza and other Muslim areas.

God speaks clearly His judgment of such wickedness:

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien–Because they do not fear Me,” Says Yehovah of hosts. Malachi 3:5

This is such a contrast with the Christian view:

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Pray for the salvation of many in Islam, that they may see Jesus as the Son of God.

Best News of 2012: Pay $15 Trillion US debt in Full!

We have enough oil (as well as natural gas and coal) to become nationally debt free. Consider Steven Moore’s Wall Street Journal interview with Harold Hamm, the Oklahoma-based founder and CEO of Continental Resources, the 14th-largest oil company in America: Mr. Hamm calculates that if Washington would allow more drilling permits for oil and natural gas on federal lands and federal waters, “I truly believe the federal government could over time raise $18 trillion in royalties.” That’s more than the U.S. national debt, I say. He smiles. This was also featured in The Blaze.
We know about offshore and Alaska oil, but the greatest new find is in North Dakota, Montana and Saskatchewan. Although the total amount of oil contained in the Bakken shale could be several hundred billion barrels, the oil is trapped within the shale itself, and is consequently hard to extract.
Environmentalists are doing everything they can to block US drilling. Their agenda is another story, but they are totally dominating the present administration. Part of the solution is to work passionately to elect a President and Congress willing to tap our abundant resources to completely solve both our jobs and debt problems.
The practical solution hinges on the discovery of a new method of extracting oil from shale developed in Israel that is different from the controversial “fracking” now used. According to Dr. Harold Vinegar, Chief Scientist of Israel Energy Initiatives (“IEI”), the company in charge of the project, Israel may possess as much as 250 billion barrels of oil, nearly equaling the 260 billion barrel Saudi reserves…Vinegar stressed that IEI’s approach to shale oil production is designed to protect the environment and does not involve “fracking” at all, the method most often used today to extract fossil oil and gas from shale.Harold Vinegar, 63, who was chief scientist at Royal Dutch Shell until 2008 explains that he has helped develop a cleaner method of extracting oil shale that is less polluting. This method consists of extracting the oil shale using heat rather than huge quantities of water and chemical which is involved in ‘fracking’. The company hopes to start a pilot by the end of the year to demonstrate that Vinegar’s heating method works and has ‘no negative effects on the environment’. The article adds that the ‘process is not supposed to release any poisonous gases, and the oil produced will be very easy to refine.’
Biblical prophecy predicts Israel will ultimately gain great wealth through the blessings of God. This is seen already with huge reserves of natural gas offshore, and now oil. This explains the motive for the great invasion of Ezekiel’s prophecy:
Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’ ” Ezekiel 38:10-13
There is only one catch for America. Our prosperity is irrevocably linked to God’s blessing and our Judeo-Christian heritage.Contrary to man’s narrative, God’s trending story concludes with Israel being restored to world prominence. Rather than the US helping Israel, the only hope for America is if Israel helps us. Or more explicitly, if we stand with and bless Israel. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 12:3
This commentary was inspired by a financial message by my friend, Pastor Jim Sink of Covenant Church International. He taught on the widow Elisha prayed for who received such abundance of oil that her debt was paid with plenty left for retirement. My wife, Doreen, made the connection that the oil God has placed in America, enough to pay off our national debt, is like the provision for that widow. Reflections on Israel

You nations, come here and listen; you peoples, pay attention! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it, the world and all that comes from it. The LORD is angry with all the nations– furious with all their armies. He will set them apart for destruction, giving them over to slaughter. For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a time of paying back Edom for its hostility against Zion. (Isaiah 34:1-2, 8)

With the provocations against Israel from her neighbors and the turmoil within the neighboring nations making them politically desperate there is an anticipation of conflict. It just seems like the battles prophesied in Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 are all about to be fulfilled.

There is a prophecy in chapters 34 and 35 of Isaiah where the Lord is against the nations who have been against Israel. He says that their lands will become barren and that He will give those lands to the desert creatures including the hyenas, wild goats and screech owls. He even guarantees those critters will have possession of the land in (Isaiah 34:16). Search and read the scroll of the LORD: Not one of them will be missing, none will be lacking its mate, because He has ordered it by my mouth, and He will gather them by His Spirit. But to Israel he guarantees blessing even in the Arava (desert), maybe especially there. It is located just across the Dead Sea Valley which will make the contrast of the curse to Edom and the blessings to Zion stand out. The photo of the tomatoes is just one of many that can be found in photos of the Arava, along with watermelons and lakes. “The Arava valley stretches from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea and is part of the Syro-African rift, and much of the region is below sea level. 65% of the fresh vegetable export from Israel and about 13% of the cut flowers comes from the Arava where the most advanced farming methods are used.” (Caption from Arava photos) From a local super market I just purchased “Sharon Fruit” which is a seedless persimmon fresh from Israel. They come out each year during January and February.

Let me share a few verses to show the miracle of an agricultural desert. The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose. It will blossom abundantly and will also rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. (Isaiah 35:1-2) Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; the parched ground will become a pool of water, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the haunt of jackals, in their lairs, there will be grass, reeds, and papyrus. (Isaiah 35:6-7)

Already the plants of the more fertile areas of Carmel and Sharon grow in the Southern Negev Desert. Israel’s deserts are the only deserts in the world that are shrinking as the deserts of their neighbors grow and become more desolate. There are places where water is in abundance and there are even fish farms with Tilapia (St. Peter’s fish) and other varieties in the desert.

There is a place in Israel called Makhtesh Ramon (the world’s largest box canyon referred to as the Grand Canyon of Israel). A man a few years ago asked the Israeli government to drill for water on one of the plateaus there but was refused. So he used his own money and drilled and hit water that gushed 192 feet in the air. Today, at that site, dates, pomegranates and grapes grow next to a lake. (Jerry Golden’s news) These prophecies have been and continue to be fulfilled in our day. Year of Reckoning X 3

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

K T McFarland, FOX News’ National Security Analyst,this morning called 2012 the year of reckoning for Iran. I agree with her and would expand that pronouncement to include the United States and the Arab states that touch Israel.

First, with President Obama signing legislation on New Year’s Eve blocking Iran’s banking system, Iran is finally going to feel real pressure. Just in the last two days, hyper inflation has begun as a result, according to McFarland. This is in the context of missile tests and war games around the Straits of Hormuz. Forty per cent of the world’s oil passes through that narrow (50 miles wide) channel from the Persian Gulf. Even though Saudi Arabia has agreed to pick up the slack, it will impact world and US oil prices dramatically. Then add in the very real inevitability of a military strike by Israel or the US on Iran’s nuclear program. Yes indeed, 2012 is a year of reckoning for Iran.

Second, we in the US are not out of the economic woods yet, either. With Europe still teetering on the brink of collapse and our recession continuing, we are being weighed in the balances. We deserve the judgments of God for our corruption, immorality, abortion, anti-marriage and anti-family realities, just to name a few. This year’s presidential election may be our last chance to reverse direction. If we the people reject ungodly leadership and vote godly men and women into office for Congress and for President, perhaps God will extend one more season of national mercy. For faithful believers, there is extraordinary favor coming even in the midst of judgment. But for the wicked there will be no rest. 2012 is certainly a year of reckoning for our dear blessed United States of America.

Third, the Middle East is reaching the flashpoint. We have spoken often of the Psalm 83 War, which in one sense began in 1948. However, the end of that war between Israel and her immediate Arab neighbors will see Israel in control from “the river of Egypt, to the great river Euphrates.” Egypt has fallen. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual head of Egypt’s Muslim brotherhood, (and the most influential Sunni Islamist in the world), has declared that Egypt must break its peace treaty with Israel. Syria’s Assad is near his fall from power and will be followed by a Sunni Muslim brotherhood coalition. Jordan has just accepted Mashaal, the head of Hamas from Damascus, relocating to Jordan. As a result the MB has held demonstrations in numerous Jordanian cities which will eventually lead to the overthrow of the friendly monarchy of King Abdullah. Finally, we include the destruction of Damascus prophesied in Isaiah: The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.” Isaiah 17:1

Certainly, in 2012, the day of the Psalm 83 reckoning is also near. These are days of anticipation and watchfulness. This is not a time to sleep or bury our heads in the sand. This is the time to rise up and stand for Jesus. Speak up for the truth. Don’t be intimidated by persecution, but embrace it. Remember the word that I said to you, “A servant is not greater than his master.” If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. John 15:20

For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says Yehovah. Jeremiah 33:2-11

Perspective

This is what Yehovah says — Yehovah who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is Yehovah: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. For this is what Yehovah the God of Israel, says: You have torn down the houses of this city and even the king’s palace to get materials to strengthen the walls against the siege ramps and swords of the enemy. You expect to fight the Babylonians, but the men of this city are already as good as dead, for I have determined to destroy them in my terrible anger. I have abandoned them because of all their wickedness.

“Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Jerusalem’s wounds and give it prosperity and true peace. I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel and rebuild their towns. I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion. Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

“This is what Yehovah says: You have said, ‘This is a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.’ Yet in the empty streets of Jerusalem and Judah’s other towns, there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to Yehovah. They will sing, ‘Give thanks to Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies, for Yehovah is good. His faithful love endures forever!’

Why Hanukkah?

Happy Hanukkah!

… TO … all my Jewish friends and to all my Christian friends. So, why should Christians celebrate this Jewish holiday? Is it given to us like all the Biblical feasts of Yehovah in Leviticus 23? No, actually it is not. Why then, should we celebrate?

I know two good reasons. First, it has genuine historic significance that changed the course of nations and fulfilled prophecy. My wife, Doreen, wrote a children’s story book called How Hanukkah saved Christmas. Had the Greeks under Antiochus succeeded in killing all the Jews and destroying the temple, Jesus could not have come. You see, He must be born a Jew, a descendant of King David. No Jews left; no Messiah. He also had to come into the temple. No temple; no fulfilled prophecy.

The second reason to celebrate has to do with the traditional miracle oil that was enough to light the temple menorah for one day, but lasted eight days, allowing time to sanctify (or dedicate) new oil. Thus the references to Hanukkah as the Festival of Lights, and Feast of Dedication.

Now it was the Feast of Dedication, and it was winter (John 10:22).

At Jesus’ last visit to Jerusalem before His death He announced several times, leading up to the Festival of Lights, that He was the Light of the World. That generation and that Jewish culture could make no mistake about what He claimed. That is one reason He was charged with blasphemy. They knew exactly what He meant. He claimed to be the Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah!

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

Finally, today’s Israelis celebrate with nine candles instead of a regular seven candle menorah. Why nine? Eight makes sense because of the eight-day miracle. But why nine? The ninth one is usually offset a bit and is called the shamash, or, servant/attendant candle. Its purpose is to light the other candles. What a great object lesson for the purpose of Jesus as the Light of the World. He brings the Light of His Father, Yehovah to all who receive Him.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Miracle Baby

An unprecedented event changing the entire course of history occurred in the otherwise simple birth of a miracle baby to the young bride of a common tradesman. The birth was in a small Middle Eastern town with little widespread notice. Nothing before or since that birth compares to the impact on the society and culture of the entire planet. Most of humankind even restarted marking time and calendars. Even though it was nearly 4,000 years from creation, the clock restarted at year one in recognition of this miracle baby.

What was so profound about this birth? Contrary to the common view, it was not all about the later life of that child. The miracle was that this child was the Creator of the Universe formed as an infant and submitting to the indignity and complete helplessness and dependence of living in His mother’s womb for His first nine months on planet Earth. It continued to the inglorious transition through the mother’s birth canal to emerge as an even more helpless newborn with no ability to survive without the loving care and nourishment of motherhood and fatherhood. As He grew physically, He learned the carpenter’s trade from His adoptive father who trained the young apprentice to functionality as a man. Adopted children in our day learn that He was adopted, too. In a sense, all we who believe in Him are adopted as well, into the eternal family of our Heavenly Father Yehovah God.

This is the miracle of Christmas. How did God the Father Yehovah manage to transform His eternal Son into that tiny seed placed in the willing young woman’s womb? That, indeed, is the mystery of God becoming man. It is the incarnation, God becoming flesh. We know more about why He did it than how He did it. In this traditional time of year to remember His birth, we should pause and let the real miracle part of His birth sink into to our inner consciousness, the spiritual part of our being. Take a break from the hectic external pace of this over-commercialized season and just say “Thank you, Jesus, I am very glad you came.” Selah.

This miracle baby was the Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah. He came for us broken and corrupt sinners, to make the Way to the Father. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the only God Who is a Father. All other gods are impotent imposters.

May you be blessed and thankful as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Messiah during this season and throughout the year.

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:12

Palestinian Flag Raised in Paris

Topic One: The Palestinian flag was raised today in Paris for the first time in official UN recognition as a state. This was at UNESCO headquarters who had recently given official credibility to the incredulous demand of the Palestinian Authority. The PA circumvented the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly and 17 years of a peace process which required mutual agreements be reached with Israel.

The PA’s intent is to continue obtaining recognition unilaterally in piecemeal fashion within one corrupt UN Agency after another to pressure the full UN to accept their statehood. This may not amount to much legally, but as I have said before, it is destined to lead to such disappointment among their people that a new intifada will be called against Israel. I discussed this in my January 20, 2011 blog.

The point was that President Obama had opened a door then, which we now see leading to more complications.

Topic Two: News reports are leaking out that Syria is being surrounded by NATO troops, including US troops withdrawn from Iraq. Instead of coming home as promised, some of our troops are being diverted to the Jordan/Syria border.

A former official from within the ranks of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is reporting that US and NATO forces have landed outside of Syria and are training militants to overthrow the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, formerly a translator with the FBI, wrote over the weekend that American soldiers are among the NATO troops that have mysteriously and suddenly landed on the Jordanian and Syrian border. According to her, several sources internationally have confirmed the news, although the US media has been instructed to temporarily censor itself from reporting the news.

Additionally, Edmonds says that American and NATO forces are training Turkish troops as well, to possibly launch a strike from the north of Syria.

We have consistently warned of the final battles of the Psalm 83 War. This is a major step in that direction. A new UN report says the death toll in Syria has passed 5,000. Triple that number is probably closer to the truth. Another unfulfilled Bible prophecy, from Isaiah, will probably occur in this coming war.

Geopolitical developments continue to converge for the greatest prophetic event of history, the coming of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. He is the son of God, in Hebrew, Yeshua ben Yehovah. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Perpetual Refugeehood

Israel has been accused for over 60 years of causing a Palestinian “refugee problem”. What is the true story?

First, in 1948, all residents of the Holy Land were called Palestinians, including the large and growing Jewish population. The name had stuck from Roman times when Rome renamed the area Palestine to try to stamp out the name of Israel (see Psalm 83:1-5 below). Israel’s popular newspaper, The Jerusalem Post, was called The Palestine Post before 1948 without any contradiction at that time. (See May 16, 1948 photo at bottom of this blog.) Second, those who fled Israel in 1948 were told to leave by their own leaders, so the Arab armies could destroy Israel. Then they could come home in a few days or weeks. When Israel won the war, the Arabs decided to keep the refugees in perpetual “refugeehood”. It was not the choice of the refugees, they are the victims. It was the choice of the Arab nations who refused to resettle them or assimilate them.

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You. Israel’s Grape Harvest

Topic One: Grape Harvest There is a great story in Israel Today Magazine for December 5, 2011. Some 250 Christian volunteers wrapped up three months of hard labor in the vineyards of Samaria last week and headed to their home countries to raise enough support to come to the aid of Jewish farmers again next year. The HaYovel Ministry team helped local farmers in communities across Samaria harvest no less than 304 tons of grapes. The assistance is a huge boon to “settler” farmers who regularly see their produce boycotted by a hostile international community.

This is a great example of “getting dirty” to stand with the Israeli pioneers who plant vineyards in Biblical Samaria (called the West Bank by biased media). This is an annual event for seven years now. What a great way to show tangible solidarity with Israel. The volunteers raise their own money to go to Israel for three months to help with the summer grape harvest. God bless them as they participate in the restoration of the land of Israel according to Bible prophecy.

Yehovah has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! You shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice. You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food. For there shall be a day when the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to Yehovah our God.’ ” Jeremiah 31:3-6

Israeli Jericho Missiles Moving

Eyewitnesses report unusual movements of Israeli Jericho missiles according to World Net Daily’s Aaron Klein: Multiple eyewitnesses reported seeing Israeli military trucks in recent days transport and station large missiles at the periphery of Jerusalem and in locations inside the West Bank. The descriptions of the projectiles are consistent with the Jewish state’s mid-to-long range Jericho ballistic missiles.

Here are know facts about the Jericho III from Wikipedia: The Jericho III is believed to have a three-stage solid propellant and a payload of 1,000 to 1,300 kg. It is possible for the missile to be equipped with a single 750 kg nuclear warhead or two or three low yield MIRVwarheads…the Jericho III gives Israel nuclear strike capabilities within the entire Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and almost all parts of North America, as well as within large parts of South America and North Oceania.

MissileThreat.com reports: The range of the Jericho 3 also provides an extremely high impact speed for nearby targets, enabling it to avoid any Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) defenses that may develop in the immediate region. This would be most valuable in the event of a first-strike from Iran or as defense against Iranian retaliation to an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Israel pre-positioning these arms would be another indication of an imminent hot war.

When I was a boy it was big news in our church if someone reported a prophecy fulfilled in the last year or two. When we started our Issachar Forum Prophetic Think Tank eight years ago, we soon found so many prophesies fulfilled it was hard to get them all into our weekly meeting. Now, what I have listed above, is just today!

When Jesus was asked in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 what would be the signs of His return and the end of the age, he answered the question. All of the things He predicted have happened in my lifetime. The most time specific was His prediction of first the downfall of Jerusalem (fulfilled in 70 AD) and then the restoration of Jerusalem in 1967. Gentiles indeed ruled or “trampled down” Jerusalem from 70 to 1967. Jesus then declared the most astonishing part:

When you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Luke 21:31-33

This passage (along with Psalm 102) is one of the main reasons I wrote Generation LAST. The actual length of a generation is debatable, but how ever long it is, we are surely in the last generation now. Look up, Jesus is coming soon!

Happy THANKS…giving, + a New Warning

Two clear words are on my heart today as we prepare to give thanks to God for His faithful provision and blessings. This morning, in that awakening moment where you are not sure if you are still dreaming, I heard the still small voice of my Heavenly Father distinctly in two thoughts.

First, BE THANKFUL. Yesterday, Doreen and I stopped by to see our “spiritual daughter”, Laura, at her store downtown. We always honor her as the one who taught us how to pronounce this holiday. (She actually teaches a class in how to speak Southern.) I used to say Happy ThanksGIVING, but she emphasized the first syllable: Happy THANKSgiving. And she is right, of course. This day is about being thankful.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4

Doreen and I are thankful for our daughters who all work hard at two jobs. They are full-time mothers of our seven grandchildren, and they also each work part-time in second jobs to help with the family budgets. Thank you Jesus, for our wonderful daughters.

As a matter of fact, God takes our thankfulness very seriously. He ranks the lack of being thankful as a major sin, linked with denying God!

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15

Second, A NEW WARNING. I also heard a very sobering prophetic warning in the early hours today for the United States: There will be martyrs. The influx of radical Islam, coupled with the rise of anarchy through the Occupy movement, is spiraling down toward death and mayhem. Pray that God will extend mercy for another season. Pray for the elections next year that God would raise up His choices. We should not rely on the historic blessings to continue on our land if we defy the living God of Israel. For several generations now we have drifted away from our spiritual roots. We are sounding more and more like those described in Romans 1 (quoted above). We have been so blessed, it is hard to imagine the judgments coming. Many in our nation have turned to pagan gods, abortion, pornography, greed and blasphemy. Many have rejected the God of our fathers.

As we pause to celebrate THANKSgiving tomorrow, let us also pray that our nation would repent and turn back to Yehovah God and serve Jesus, His Son and our Messiah.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

From Tunisia to Jerusalem

Daily reports are flooding the Internet detailing the rapid expansion of Islamist goals in all areas of the Arab Spring. As the Muslim Brotherhood assumes power in state after state, two clear goals emerge. One is to impose Sharia law on all citizens. Number two is to “liberate” Jerusalem.

Reports from BBC sources in Tunisia tell of an agreement to name Hammadi Jebali as the new Prime Minister of Tunisia. Just last Sunday at a huge stadium rally he publicly declared: “The liberation of Tunisia will, God willing, bring about the liberation of Jerusalem.” Jebali declared that the occasion was “a divine moment in a new state, and in, hopefully, a 6th caliphate,” referring to the historical system of Islamic monarchies. Hamas Speaks in Tunisia Here is the quote from Tunisia Live: Tunisian Islamist party Ennahda invited Houda Naïm, a Hamas member of the Palestinian Legislative Council based in Gaza, to speak at a rally in Sousse, a coastal Tunisian city, this past Sunday. The event marked the first time in known memory a member of Hamas has addressed the Tunisian public.

Both speakers at the rally called for the liberation of Jerusalem. This obsession with Jerusalem brings to mind the clear scriptural promise of the God of Israel. The Bible describes this obsession with Jerusalem as “drunkenness”:

The burden of the word of Yehovah against Israel. Thus says Yehovah, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. Zechariah 12:1-3

Yehovah also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But Yehovah will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. Joel 3:16

And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as Yehovah has said, among the remnant whom Yehovah calls. Joel 2:32

It is happening so fast! Please continue to watch and pray for the shalom of Jerusalem that only comes from the Prince of Shalom, Jesus Messiah of Israel.

Iran Has The Bomb

You may say this is premature, but please hear me out. Last Tuesday the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) released its long-awaited report on Iran. The report confirms in actual public fact what the various intelligence agencies have known for some time. There are three reasons to conclude that Iran now has several (at least low-level) atomic bombs.

First, the IAEA report confirms all the technology and expert advice is in the hands of Iran. Second, Israel and others have concluded they have all they need to build the bomb. Third, and this is the clincher, we know the above facts absolutely. It is logical to project a substantial degree of information that we don’t know that Iran has been able to hide, even from the IAEA. Therefore, we conclude that Iran likely has the bomb. Will they be reluctant to use it to wipe out Israel? Will they hesitate to use it against us? I don’t think so.

It is now a matter of timing. Israel can fly directly to Iran over Jordan and Iraq for the next six weeks. Then the US is out of Iraq and its airspace will likely be off limits to Israel. Does Israel have the luxury of waiting for further diplomatic efforts to play out? Can Israel depend on heavier sanctions to take effect? I don’t think so.

Now let us consider Bible prophecy. We have said often that the coming Psalm 83 War does not include Iran. It is primarily the Arab countries that touch Israel’s borders that are listed in the Psalm. Iran does not rise to its place in prophecy until the Ezekiel 38 & 39 Gog and Magog War. Iran (Persia) appears there along with Libya, Sudan and Turkey. Iran’s present threat is premature when viewed from a prophetic context. Therefore, it is likely that Iran will suffer a temporary setback that will make them a non-player in the imminent Psalm 83 conflict. Israel will have to act very soon. The ancient hatred against Yehovah God is arising in our day with vengeance. The spirit of Amalek is on the loose. Wicked men oppose God’s eternal purpose for Israel and all His people who love His Son, the Messiah. Will hell’s goal to defeat Yehovah and Yeshua ben Yehovah succeed? I DON’T THINK SO!

Again a message came to me from Yehovah: “Son of man, turn and face Mount Seir, and prophesy against its people. Give them this message from the Sovereign Yehovah: “I am your enemy, O Mount Seir, and I will raise my fist against you to destroy you completely. I will demolish your cities and make you desolate. Then you will know that I am Yehovah. “Your eternal hatred for the people of Israel led you to butcher them when they were helpless, when I had already punished them for all their sins.” Ezekiel 35:1-5 NLT

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Loose Lips Sink Ratings

The new report out today (from the G-20 meeting November 3) is shameful and embarrassing for President Obama and French President Sarkozy. It highlights the arrogant anti-Semitism of this US administration. It is yet another example of why Obama’s approval ratings are so low in both the US and in Israel.

“I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama replied, according to the French interpreter. Yahoo News 11-08-11

There are two shocking observations here. The first is the obvious gut level disrespect for the Prime Minister of Israel. This was not for public consumption, but actual personal opinions of Netanyahu. It is not surprising given the public disrespect shown toward him by our President. However, there is something visceral and unsettling to hear it from his heart, so to speak.

The second shock, as you dig deeper into the story, involves the attempt to muzzle the media. All the reporters who overheard the remarks were asked and consented to signing an agreement to not release the details. Every one of those “journalists” should be fired immediately. Why do they even exist if not to report the news. Does anyone seriously believe it was not “newsworthy”? They were muzzled because of the “sensitive nature” of the remarks. Hello? Does the attitude of two leaders of the free world matter? When overwhelming pressure is applied for Israeli concessions, is this news? You betcha!

Pray that Israel will wise up and recognize that their so-called allies are only out for their own best interests, not Israel’s. We have read the end of the Book. We know that all the nations are going to come against Israel. It has begun.

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Joel 3:2

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith Yehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
