Riots, Iran, and the Bible

Rumors of riots in America, and Iran is about to explode, yet God is in control. Whether you consider a major geopolitical crisis or a personal crisis in your own life, faith in God is your anchor. For many years we have sung this simple chorus:

“This is the day…This is the day… That the Lord has made…That the Lord has made. We will rejoice…We will rejoice… and be gland in it, and be glad in it.”

But, do you know that this little song is in the Bible? As we watch the clock run out on Iran and the inevitable destruction of their nuclear program, there is comfort in Scripture. God is in control every day, not just the good days when everything is going well. We must not fear the unknown.  It is only unknown to us, not to God. He sees the end from the beginning and He has a plan. He knows. Where is this song in the Bible and what is the context? Did you know Jesus sang this song at the Last Supper, His Passover meal with the disciples?

“This is the day the LORD (Yehovah) has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”  Psalm 118:24

“In Mark 14, we’re told that Jesus and his disciples celebrated Passover and sang a hymn before going out to the garden of Gethsemane. So what hymn did they sing? Rabbinic tradition going back to the time of Jesus records that during Passover, Jewish people sang Psalm 113-118, a collection of songs known as the Passover Hallel.”  Bible Project

Psalm 118 is talking about the Messiah Yeshua and ends instructing the sacrifice be bound to the altar and indicates that this reveals that God is good! The worst moment in Jesus’ life and the apparent victory of Satan shows the goodness of Yehovah! His death on the cross is good! It is the provision of salvation for all who will believe in Him. The little chorus we sing is directly pointing to the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. This is the day to be glad and rejoice. This day of Jesus’ death is victory over death!

“God is Yehovah, and He has given us light; ​​Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. ​​You are my God, and I will praise You; ​​You are my God, I will exalt You. ​​Oh, give thanks to Yehovah, for He is good! ​​For His mercy endures forever.”  Psalm 118:27-29

Jesus Himself sang those words just hours before His temptation in Gethsemane’s Garden and His crucifixion. He knew the Father’s plan. He obeyed to the end and became the Savior of the world. THAT day was the most important day in history. So, be sure to see current world events and even your own personal events from God’s perspective. Is God worried about Iran and Israel, or riots in Los Angeles? No, and He can handle what you are going through. It does not always appear that things are heading in the right direction, but God is in control! Do not yield to the spirit of fear, but rather yield to the Holy Spirit of Yehovah God. Trust in God! God’s Specific Real Estate Promise

We must not forget the literal land promise that God vowed to keep for Israel. His integrity is on the line. His severe judgement on Israel scattered them to all the nations, but He promised He would bring them back to the actual geographical land of Israel. Two weeks ago I wrote about Ezekiel 20, but there is more.

“For on My holy mountain, on the mountain height of Israel,” says the Lord Yehovah, “there all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, shall serve Me; there I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the first fruits of your sacrifices, together with all your holy things. I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles. Then you shall know that I am Yehovah, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I raised My hand in an oath to give to your fathers.”  Ezekiel 20:40-42

He raised His hand in an oath! There is no greater authority. God will return their land to them because He promised and He cannot lie. Yehovah’s very character and His name in intertwined with Israel’s destiny. God is married to Israel and to the land! (Beulah in Hebrew means: Married.)

“You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yehovah delights in you, and your land shall be married.”  Isaiah 62:4

“Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;”  Ezekiel 37:21

“Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.”  Ezekiel 36:28

The promise is not simply to an ethnic people but to an actual geographical location on the globe. There are three reasons why this fact is significant. First, the promise being geographical indicates that we should not lean to a symbolic or spiritualized interpretation of the prophecy. Secondly, it is evidence that God’s promises to the people of Israel do not stand alone but are directly connected to previously established promises to the land. The third and most important reason is what this promise says about the character of God. He is the God who keeps His word. We see this promise fulfilled right before our eyes from 1948 to the present. Hallelujah!

Voluntary Book Burning

So, what does revival really look like? Is it three nights of special meetings at church? Or, maybe it is more like the word itself: being dead and coming back to life? Our home group is currently in Acts 19 where a rather dramatic scene resulted from preaching the Gospel of Jesus, the Messiah. We learned earlier in Acts that the main topic preached was that Jesus (or Yeshua) was raised from the dead. He was dead and then He was alive again. Maybe there should be more of that in our idea of revival.

“Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”  Acts 19:19-20

Why did they do such a thing? What would motivate people to voluntarily burn their possessions of such great value? Earlier in the passage we learned of various pagan exorcists who tried to use the name of Jesus but were overcome by the demons who respected Jesus but knew that the charlatans did not know Jesus. They were beaten by the demon-possessed man and ran away. The result was a great revival where people made a 180 and completely changed in order to follow Jesus.

“This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.”  Acts 19:17-18

We should fervently pray for the kind of revival that raises people from the death of their old rebellious self way of life. Jesus is the only One with the power to change our hearts and our behavior. I believe we are on the cusp of such a revival that will even include Jews and Muslims coming to the Messiah of Israel!

Happy Shavuot/Pentecost starting sundown Sunday!

Fishers, Hunters, and Ezekiel 20

Domestic terrorism has moved from violent protests to premeditated murder. The tragic terror killing of two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, DC takes terror to another level. The fact that the victims were Jewish believers in Jesus simply amplifies the implications. For years Iran has said Israel is the little Satan and America is the big Satan. Jihadists have also said for years: “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.” Now we see it on our own soil. What does the Bible say about these prophetic times? Here is a principle of fishers and hunters revealed in Jeremiah 16 about the regathering of Israel from all the countries where they had been scattered in Divine judgement.

“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “that it shall no more be said, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘Yehovah lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says Yehovah, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.”  Jeremiah 16:14-16

First comes the invitation and positive encouragement for Jews to return to the land of Israel. After that will come hunters. This suggests violence. This pattern is clearly seen in Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. The United States has about 6-7 million Jews, almost as many as Israel with around 8 million. Last night’s terror attack suggest the hunters may be on the move. We must pray that America’s Jews will obey the Holy Spirit impulse to return to Israel, the land of their fathers.

One more Bible reference is revealing. Ezekiel warns of a time when God will separate the rebellious Jews from those who obey Yehovah’s voice. In my studied opinion, the “wilderness of the peoples” refers to the U.S. If true, then we are entering the season of separating out the rebels.

“As I live,” says the Lord Yehovah, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says the Lord Yehovah. I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yehovah.”  Ezekiel 20:33-38

Pray that American Jews will heed the call and be blessed through obedience. Pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump for wisdom from above. And PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!

Warning! Only God Can Save

Back up the truck! It is a little early to claim the glory for peace in the Middle East. I pray that President Trump will resist the seduction to take all the credit for the success in the Arab state tour this week. It has been a great victory for America economically and for Israel and the soon expansion of the Abraham Accords. Yet, I pray for humility for all our leaders, including PM Netanyahu. Israel is poised for a massive final push into Gaza that has an interesting name: “Operation Gideon’s Chariots.” Allow me to temper the excitement with a little Scriptural balance.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of Yehovah our God.”  Psalm 20:7

“Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.”  Psalm 146:3

I continue to pray three things for both leaders (and also Steve Witkoff). Pray that they accept Godly counsel, that they have courage, and then that they do the right thing. I’m encouraged with the sincere honor to God from these men, but the the war in the heavenlies from the prince of Persia is strong, especially while in the geographical area of that principality. Keep praying with me.

Thus says Yehovah: ​​“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from Yehovah. ​​For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, ​​In a salt land which is not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yehovah, and whose hope is Yehovah. ​​For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? ​​I, Yehovah, search the heart, ​​I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”  Jeremiah 17:5-10

By the way, we would do well to examine our own hearts in these same matters.

Acceleration Is Now

I keep hearing one word “acceleration!” in my spirit. We have begun a new pace of prophecy. It is happening so fast it is harder to keep up. Here are just a few: Israel under relentless attacks, the looming judgement on Iran nukes, the global tariff crisis, India/Pakistan war, and perhaps not least, the expansion of the Abraham Accords. The middle east specifically is about to see a massive reset. This is not years ahead, it is now.

This is evidence of prophetic timing. The Bible hints at this acceleration linked to the last days. Daniel and Nahum saw signs of the final days.

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”  Daniel 12:4

“The chariots rage in the streets, They jostle one another in the broad roads; They seem like torches,
They run like lightning.”  Nahum 2:4

Daniel said keep it hidden till the time of the end, to be characterized by much travel and increased knowledge. They say there are 100,000 planes in the air daily. Check out this quote from 2013.

Knowledge Doubling Curve –  “Buckminster Fuller created the “Knowledge Doubling Curve”; he noticed that until 1900 human knowledge doubled approximately every century. By the end of World War II knowledge was doubling every 25 years. Today things are not as simple as different types of knowledge have different rates of growth. For example, nanotechnology knowledge is doubling every two years and clinical knowledge every 18 months. But on average human knowledge is doubling every 13 months.  According to IBM, the build out of  the “internet of things” will lead to the doubling of knowledge every 12 hours.” April 2013  industrytap.com 

My favorite prophet this year has been Amos who describes a time of great abundance and blessing when agricultural activities will overlap due to an overwhelming harvest. It symbolizes a period of restoration and prosperity for the people of Israel. I have seen this with my own eyes in the agricultural abundance Israel enjoys. This is in the context of the restoration of the Tabernacle of David.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says Yehovah, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.”  Amos 9:13

These are signs that should cause us to look expectantly for the coming of Messiah Yeshua. He is coming “with power and great glory!” Are you ready? I think there are a few more prophecies to be fulfilled first, but I could be wrong. Jesus could come before breakfast!

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”  Luke 21:28

Jerusalem Forest Fires Arson

Fires set all over Israel on the occasion of Independence Day. Israel’s 77th birthday celebration was marred by intentional arsonist terror.  As many as eighteen arson suspects have been arrested during the coordinated attacks. Why were none in Judea/Samaria/West Bank? Terrorists who claim the land is theirs have no problem burning down the forests and farm crops. The main highway from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was closed for a time with as many as 200 car burned along with three fire trucks. Miraculously there were no serious injuries so far beyond smoke inhalation.

‘All you have to do is burn’: Hamas calls to set fires in Jerusalem, West Bank – “Youth of the West Bank, youth of Jerusalem, and those inside Israel, set their cars ablaze… Gaza awaits the revenge of the free,” the terrorist organization wrote.

Major roads reopened but fire in Jerusalem outskirts still not under control – Thousands of residents of the area were evacuated as the fires spread in several different locations, 

Firefighters gain control over Judean Plains wildfire – After over a day of battling the flames, the wildfire in the Judean Plane is under control. Forests and fields in the area were severely damaged.

Is there a message from God beyond the hatred of Israel’s enemies? Israel Today’s Editor, Aviel Schneider, asks a great question. Is there a message from God here? He suggests it could relate to the political division in Israel. I encourage you to read the full article after this excerpt.

The road to Jerusalem is burning – a sign or a coincidence? – “On Remembrance Day, the road to Jerusalem is burning – perhaps not a coincidence, but a wake-up call for a divided Israel. On Memorial Day, while Israel paused to honor its fallen soldiers, one of the country’s most symbolic roads suddenly caught fire. Highway 1—the lifeline connecting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv—was closed. Smoke, fire, panic. Was it simply a natural phenomenon? Or perhaps a sign? People were trapped between the Latrun Monastery and the eastbound ramp, fleeing on foot to the west from the flames. This scene conjured up a harrowing image of our torn society. The external fire reflects an internal fire. The hatred that blazes today between the camps, between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, between right and left, between religious and secular, is constantly igniting new fronts. One could say: the fire raging from without reflects an out-of-control fire within. This experience moved me deeply—for we too live in a moshav in the wooded mountains of Jerusalem. After work yesterday, we had to take a detour home, accompanied by the disturbing sight of smoke rising on the horizon.

In the Bible, fire is never just a force of nature. It is language. When God speaks to Moses, it happens in the burning bush (Exodus 3). The prophet Elijah sees fire, storm, and earthquakes – but God’s voice is revealed in the “gentle whisper” that follows (1 Kings 19). Fire is a sign. It can mean judgment – ​​but also purification, repentance. The only question is: Who sees? Who hears?”  Israel Today May 1, 2025

Through the night a large thunderstorm came over Israel that helped dampen the fires. Also, a sandstorm came up from Egypt and hit Gaza and Be’er Sheva. God certainly is getting Israel’s attention. Again, it was miraculous that no one died. We must look to God’s protection. Jesus said He would never leave us. He will be with us even through the fire!

“Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”  Daniel 3:24-25

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and thank Him for the unseasonable rain!

Jerusalem Under Siege by Babylon, Buy Now!

The art of the deal is a hot topic in 2025, but maybe the best deal in the Bible was when Jeremiah bought land as Jerusalem was surrounded by Nebuchadnezzar’s army. It led to the total destruction of the city. Why did God tell Jeremiah to buy land then? One commentator said it was the worst deal ever. But I disagree. Jerusalem was literally under siege and Jeremiah was in prison, but Yehovah knew the end from the beginning. I imagine he bought the land for a song, considering the hopeless situation. But 70 years later, Israel returned with the backing of Cyrus, King of Persia and much wealth. Suddenly Jeremiah’s land was extremely valuable. Of course, that is not the main story.

God had him buy it as a prophetic act, signaling the promise of God to bring His people back from captivity. It is about the faithfulness of God. Israel had sinned, worshipping idols and pagan gods, but God was faithful! They deserved, yes, even earned their severe judgement, but God promised their fathers He would bless Israel. Look how Jeremiah trusted God in response to the ridiculous idea of buying property during a war with defeat inevitable. (In your investments, listen to God!)

“Now when I had delivered the purchase deed to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to Yehovah, saying: ‘Ah, Lord Yehovah! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them—the Great, the Mighty God, whose NAME is Yehovah of hosts. You are great in counsel and mighty in work, for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings’… Then the word of Yehovah came to Jeremiah, saying, “Behold, I am Yehovah, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”  Jeremiah 32:16-19 and 26-27

God answered him by a mighty declaration followed by His plan. He will destroy their generation because of their sin, but He will bring them back from captivity and again they will buy and sell land and live in peace worshipping Yehovah!

“For thus says Yehovah: ‘Just as I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them. And fields will be bought in this land of which you say, “It is desolate, without man or beast; it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.” Men will buy fields for money, sign deeds and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South; for I will cause their captives to return,’ says Yehovah.”  Jeremiah 32:42-44

Today we must pray for Bibi Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister and also President Trump for three specific requests. 1. Pray that they hear the wisdom of God. 2. Pray for courage. 3. Pray that they will do the right thing. Hearing and obeying God with action is the only hope for Israel, the US, and for each one of us.

Lamb’s Blood Never Worked

Passover was never about killing a lamb to remove sin. It was always a picture of the Messiah as the Lamb of Yehovah God. Putting blood on the doorposts was an act of obedience which exempted the family from the severe judgement on Egypt, the death of the firstborn. A little lamb dying never could take away sin. Even under Mosaic law it only covered sin for another year. The Hebrew word for atonement is “covering” in this verse. Sins were forgiven a year at a time.

“And he shall do with the bull as he did with the bull as a sin offering; thus he shall do with it. So the priest shall make atonement for them, and it shall be forgiven them.”  Leviticus 4:20

“For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.”  Hebrews 10:1-4

“By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,”  Hebrews 10:10-12

“Behold, the days are coming, says Yehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says Yehovah.But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yehovah: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know Yehovah,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”  Jeremiah 31:31-34

God spoke these words to Jeremiah over 500 years before Messiah Yeshua came. It has always been Gods plan. Total forgiveness is His plan! Jesus is the Lamb! The great news is that after He gave His life, He was raised from the dead! That is why we celebrate Resurrection Day every year. Hallelujah to the Lamb!

Why Iran Terrorism Will End

Iran’s domination is out of prophetic timing. This Saturday is a pivotal meeting with the US and Iran of Biblical importance. Two sequential Israel prophesies apply to our current events. For several years I have maintained that Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 guide us to understand the attack timing of Israel’s enemies. These two passages are unique in that they each include a list of the nations who are against Israel. Psalm 83 names the Arab nations that surround Israel today. Those countries have been attacking Israel since 1948. The list in Ezekiel 38 is a completely different list. No country is in both lists. Iran is not listed in Psalm 83. Therefore, its prominence is premature. Yes, it will attack as part of the Gog/Magog war, but that follows a time of unprecedented peace in Israel. (See my post: “Before Gog and Magog.”)

I believe there will be a time of extraordinary peace for Israel after the defeat of Iran and their terror proxies very soon. If you notice the early verses of Ezekiel 38, Israel enjoys an amazing peace just before the Gog & Magog invasion. Verse 8 tells the timing. The attack comes after Israel is regathered from the nations. That time is now! Note the phrases in bold:

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.”  Ezekiel 38:8

“You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.’”  Ezekiel 38:10

“Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?”  Ezekiel 38:10

Seven references in these three verses declare the degree of peace and security Israel will be enjoying at the time of that invasion. These conditions have not been true at any time since 1948,

“They all dwell safely. Unwalled villages. Peaceful people. Dwell safely. Without walls. Having neither bars nor gates. My people Israel dwell safely.”

I believe Israel (possibly with our help) will defeat Iran and its terror proxies soon and usher in a time of peace described in the above verses. To experience such peace and security, Israel must not be threatened in any way during that season. Pray for the meeting this Saturday between the US and Iran.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for Trump and Netanyahu for Godly counsel, courage, and action to do the right thing.

The October 7, 2023 massacre of 1,200 Israelis initiated a massive change in the Middle East that fulfills ancient Bible prophesies. Hamas thought they would destroy Israel, but the opposite happened. Hamas is nearly destroyed and shockingly led to the near elimination of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. Iran is now clearly facing the same ultimate defeat.

It appears that we are getting close to Israel and perhaps even the US bombing Iran soon. Keep praying for God’s will to be heard and obeyed by both Bibi and Trump. At the same time, Israel has moved three divisions into Gaza to finish the war!

Is a massive US-Israeli attack coming soon on Iran’s nuclear program? – A growing number of signs suggest answer is yes. Trump told reporters, “We are down to final strokes with Iran. We are down to the final moments. We can’t let them have a nuclear weapon. Something is going to happen very soon. I would rather have a peace deal than the other option, but the other option will solve the problem.”

IDF taking Gaza territory, as Hamas refuses to release hostages, Netanyahu says – (April 2, 2025 / JNS) The Israeli prime minister also announced that the Israeli military was seizing the Morag Corridor in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israel Defense Forces is seizing territory in the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas’s refusal to release the remaining 59 hostages, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed on Wednesday.

Why Have Jews Lasted 4,000 Years?

Do the Jews exist because they are holier than other people? How have they survived as a people for 4,000 years? Many hundreds of nations and people groups have come and gone never to be seen again. How does this one Jewish nation do it? The fact is that it was not them, it was God who did it. They inherited the land because of God’s unconditional promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The land is given to them by Yehovah God “for all time!”

“And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them; and He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power, driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance, as it is this day. Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that Yehovah Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yehovah your God is giving you for all time.”  Deuteronomy 4:37-40

This is an unconditional promise. It is based on God’s unchangeable character. God cannot lie. He must restore Israel to their land for His own integrity. God is truth. The people did indeed sin in many generations, even worshipping the Baal gods with baby sacrifice. Yet, He keeps bringing them back to His mercy and forgiveness. Ezekiel 36 literally details His promised restoration in our day, after they were scattered to “all the countries.” Genesis 12 is to Abraham. Genesis 26:3 is to Isaac. He renewed the promise again to Jacob in Genesis 28:13-14.

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says Yehovah. “Many nations shall be joined to Yehovah in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that Yehovah of hosts has sent Me to you. And Yehovah will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. Be silent, all flesh, before Yehovah, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!”  Zechariah 2:10-13

Christians understand that if God gave us what we deserve it would be. death, because all have sinned and are guilty before God. It is only through the blood of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) that we are forgiven. The same is true for Israel Romans 11 tells the beautiful story of Israel’s restoration. They too would be lost if not for our merciful God and His Messiah Son!

“For I am Yehovah, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”  Malachi 3:6

God will save Israel and grant their inheritance in the land because He promised it! God is faithful! He will keep His word.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain for the land.

God Present With Gaza Hostages

Sorry I missed my blog last week. I have returned from the rain forests of Puerto Rico.

Wonderful testimonies are coming out now from Israeli hostages saved from Gaza terrorists. They spoke of miracles, His presence with them, and new found faith in God. Several Bible verses are seen in this real life story of God revealing Himself to them while in captivity. One testified that a small bottle of grape juice never ran out or spoiled. Our 21rst century first-world problems are about stress, frustration with traffic or the high cost of eggs. It is difficult to put ourselves in the shoes of a terrorist hostage. They were beaten, starved, cursed, and expected sudden death daily. Some suffered over 500 days and some are still there. Click on this CBN story headline for more details:

Testimonies of Faith: God’s Presence in the Darkness of Gaza Captivity – How does faith survive in the darkest depths of despair? Even more remarkably, how does someone find faith while held captive and chained in a tunnel 50 meters underground? Former Israeli hostages are sharing extraordinary testimonies of faith and resilience, echoing the experiences of biblical heroes like Daniel, Esther, and Paul.

Hostage Shem Tov (505 days) shared: “During my captivity, I felt every prayer you prayed for me; and even in the darkness, I had light.” This verse was fulfilled for him personally!

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”  Psalm 23:4 ESV

“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For Yehovah your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT

Another verse was quoted by several hostages that has a vital connection to Biblical faith. There is deeper revelation in this short verse. First, it declares that Yehovah lives, but it also reveals a great truth about His nature. The last word, “one” carries a fascinating revelation of God that few have considered.

“Hear, O Israel: Yehovah our God, Yehovah is one!”  Deuteronomy 6:4

The Hebrew word for “one” here is “echad.” It means a plurality or unity of one. It is used in Genesis where man and woman are “one” flesh. It is also used of the twelve tribes as “one” nation. Why is this important? The use of “echad” indicates that God is a plurality of one, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Another Hebrew word that was notably NOT used is the word for one, “yachid,” which means an “indivisible one.” Man was created in God’s image: spirit, soul, and body. We have three dimensions as well! The very next verse seems to confirm this.

“You shall love Yehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”  Deuteronomy 6:5

Again, the three parts of man are mentioned. We need to pray, not only for the remaining hostages, but for those already released who need healing and restoration. Also, continue to pray for the salvation of both Jews and Arabs. God is very much speaking to them in their trials. Pray that they hear His voice!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, wisdom for the leaders, and an end to the war.

Functioning in a Dysfunctional World

LionsThe prophet Daniel revealed an amazing principle right in the middle of his last days prophesies, a revelation for us today. Most Bible students are aware of this phrase from the King James: “the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” We love to focus on doing great exploits, but here is the amazing truth. The word “exploits” is not in the Hebrew. Look at it in the New King James and the King James translation. Notice that “great exploits” and “exploits” are in italics in each case.

“Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” Daniel 11:32 NKJV

And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32 KJV

When you see words in italics in our English translations, it means the words are not in the Hebrew, but are added as what the translators deemed was the intention. In this case I believe it actually takes away from Daniel’s and the Holy Spirit’s intent. The Hebrew word for “do” literally means to act and make things happen when others are not able to function, by implication. Still being functional in the middle of a crises is, in itself, the great exploit.

My research indicates that his real point was that when people all around are dysfunctional, those who know Yehovah God will be functional! This is our time to shine, to stand firm in the power of the living God.

The world is surrendering to fear, to panic, to depression, and hopelessness. But, we know God. He is with us. Jesus will never leave or forsake us. Yet, this is not only for us to survive the trouble, but that we will rise up and lead the hopeless ones to hope in God. We are to speak peace to panic, faith to fear, and LIFE to the depressed. This is not a time to hide or escape, it is time to function! We have read the end of the Book, Jesus wins!

The Kingdom of God is Relational

The world systems are transactional, but God’s Kingdom is relational. Personal salvation, fellowship with family and other believers, and even business and politics work better relationally than with impersonal transactions. This is now becoming visible even in geo-politics. President Trump’s first cabinet meeting is a striking example. His picks are people he knows and trusts personally. Even better, they know each other and are good friends. The camaraderie around the table was noticeable. They were having fun!

When I first saw this prayer I assumed it was a chaplain, but it was not. It was one of the new cabinet members, Scott Turner, Secretary of HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development). What a perfect example of relational government. Please don’t underestimate the broad national awakening that is now appearing right before our eyes. President Trump’s first cabinet was pretty much chosen for him because of his inexperience in that high office. This time he has had four extra years to choose like minded leaders whom he knows and can personally trust. It is about relationships! This is true for all of us across the connections of our lives. Whether in family, business, or community think relationally, not a transaction. “What can I get out of this?” Rather: “How can I serve?”

There is one more example that I must share. When RFK Jr. ran for president his running mate Nicole Shanahan was known for her leftist stance and multi-millions of dollars. Wait till you read this account of her salvation. She had converted to Judaism 12 years ago and then found Jesus the Messiah through a direct experience with demonic evil. She now says she is a Jew for Jesus! God is bringing Jews and Gentiles together around the Messiah according to Ephesians 2.

God Is Working: Days After Trump Took Office, RFK Jr’s Running Mate Came to Know Jesus – President Donald Trump’s political ascendance has coincided with what honest future historians will characterize as another Great Awakening. Moreover, Trump’s successful 2024 campaign revealed some unexpected shining stars, none brighter or more surprising than former Democrat Nicole Shanahan.

“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—  that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,  having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”  Ephesians 2:11-16

Miracle Discovery of Bus Bombs Today

20 02 2025

Israel has just discovered multiple bus time-bombs today! Simultaneously five different buses exploded in Israel in their parking lots at 8:30 pm Israel time, 1:30 pm Eastern time. Multiple more bombs were discovered in buses and light rail in a large area. They were on timers set to explode at 8:30 am during rush hour tomorrow. By the grace of God some were accidently programmed wrong with pm instead of am. Yehovah God is protecting Israel! This was done by Hamas inside Israel! Hamas claimed responsibility. They were based in Tulkarm in Samaria near the coast. They intended another Oct 7th killing hundreds on public transportation. Only God!

Massive attack averted: Bombs found on five buses in central Israel – Minister of Transportation Miri Regev also ordered all trains in the country to cease operations.

Today’s earlier news was the return of the Bibas’ babies and their mother in caskets. (Update: the female body was not the mother, a vile breech of the agreement.) The shameful mockery and public display on makeshift stages continues to shock the civilized world. This all must end! For those who follow my blog you will not be surprised to learn the Scripture that Israel’s IDF Rabbi spoke over them when the IDF took possession of the bodies.

‘O God, do not be silent’ | The Psalm read over the caskets of the deceased hostages – Considered an national elegy over the invasion of Israel by its neighbors, Chief Rabbi of the IDF, Brigadier General Eyal Krim read Psalm 83.

We have referenced Psalm 83 for several years as prophetically speaking of this very time of history. Notice the critical prayer request in verse 9, which refers to Gideon’s victory when God had the enemies turn and kill each other. That is still our prayer.

“Deal with them as with Midian, as with Sisera, as with Jabin at the Brook Kishon, who perished at En Dor, who became as refuse on the earth. ​​Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb, ​​Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, “Let us take for ourselves the pastures of God for a possession.”  Psalm 83:9-12

Also notice that the enemies goal was to steal God’s land and make it their own. However, they are destined to fail because Yehovah God has given it to Israel for an everlasting inheritance.

“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”  Genesis 17:7-8

“Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, That I may be glorified.”  Isaiah 60:21

A final observation: The other deceased hostage returned today was Oded Lifshitz, the 86 year old hostage killed over a year ago. He was a pro-Palestinian Israeli who worked to bring sick Gazan children to Israeli hospitals. It was meaningless to the Hamas cowards because he was a Jew and must die.

This is why we must pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray Psalm 83. The enemies must ultimately be judged by God Himself! Also keep praying for rain and snow which is coming this weekend to Israel.

Personification of the Universe

Our culture has a problem as we drift away from God. A new phrase has emerged with dangerous effect. More and more young people say: “The universe is against me.” or: “The universe is trying to tell me something.” Why is that a problem? It effectively sidesteps God. By removing God you lose accountability. He actually is trying to tell us something. He may be against our behavior, but He offers the ultimate answer to all our issues in the Person of His Son, Yeshua who became the lamb of God Who takes away our sins.

So, we reject the living Person of God and rather personify the universe. Here is the definition of personification: “A figure of speech in which inanimate objects or abstractions are endowed with human qualities or are represented as possessing human form” The American Heritage Dictionary

Would you believe the Bible specifically pinpoints this very problem? The philosophical term is: “the creator/creature distinction”. This is also the theological term. The Apostle Paul made this very clear in his letter to the Romans.

“who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.”  Romans 1:25

I encourage you to read the very important context of that statement, but here I want us to understand how we veer off track from God. Pagan religions usually include this false worship of the sun or moon, or animals, or even rocks, or trees, or mountains. In each case they are worshipping the creation more than the Creator. They also worship humans, either real or imagined. One more way they reject the true God of the Bible is by inventing a new self-defined god of their imagination. In all of these they reject the Creator God to worship false gods and idols. Paul says it clearly.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.”  Romans 1:18-23

The universe is not a person. Yehovah God speaks to us. We would do well to listen to Him!

The Gaza Gambit

Fun with Trump! The historic press conference with Netanyahu and Trump exploded the narrative about Gaza. Is he serious? Will the U.S, own Gaza? Let’s take a breath and remember how Trump negotiates. He always starts with an impossible bid to get attention and then they are happy to settle for a “reasonable” compromise. He gets his true goal as a result. Here are my first thoughts about the press conference.

  1. There was an overlooked nuance when Trump mentioned he would have a “position” in the ownership. That sounds like a small stake in ownership.
  2. Even if his plan fails, Israel would then assume the responsibility and finish the job.
  3. My favorite part was Bibi’s statement: “The Bible says that the people of Israel shall rise like lions and boy did we rise. Today, the roar of the lion of Judah is heard loudly throughout the Middle East.”
  4. The hidden highlight was his response to the Israeli journalist asking if he would support Israeli sovreignty over Judea and Samaria (the West Bank): “We are discussing this with many of your representatives. People like the idea, but we haven’t taken a position on it yet. There will probably be an announcement on this within the next four weeks,”

We must not view Gaza in the natural, but see it from God’s perspective. Gaza is part of Israel, period! How we get there is only the process. A Hamas spokesman had the audacity to threaten that Trump’s words “are capable of igniting the region.” Yes, Hamas was referring to Gaza and the Middle East which is fully on fire already!

How did we get here? 2008 – Operation Cast Lead. 2012 – Operation Pillar of Defense. 2014 – Operation Protective Edge. 2023 – Operation Swords of Iron. Don’t forget what Yehovah God Himself says about the fourth war with Gaza:

Thus says the Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom.”  Amos 1:6

“I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,” Says the Yehovah your God.”  Amos 9:15

It stops here! God Himself will insure the punishment of Gaza.

“Surely the Lord Yehovah does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord Yehovah has spoken! Who can but prophesy?”  Amos 3:7-8

Do any Gazans really want to leave? It is reported by Aviel Schneider of Israel Today that many Gazans have been caught on video saying: “Just open the border to Egypt, and everything else will happen on its own. Who wants to stay in Gaza? Everything is destroyed.”

After the dust settles what is the condition of that piece of real estate called Gaza? In the end, Judah shall return! Here is the view from the prophet Zephaniah who call them “Cherethites” which means executioners or assassins.

“Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Yehovah is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you; So there shall be no inhabitant. The seacoast shall be pastures, With shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there;”  Zephaniah 2:5-7b

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for rain, and for PM Netanyahu and President Trump.

The Cost of Wickedness in Government

Government corruption is a moral problem. It stems from the unrepentant heart of wicked men. The only remedy is to remove them from access to power. This is first a Biblical concept. There is a great example in the book of Proverbs using the process of purifying silver. In its natural state silver has impurities that cancel it value. These impurities are called “dross.” Silver has to be heated to at least 1,640 degrees in order to remove the impurities (dross). 

“Take away the dross from silver, and it will go to the silversmith for jewelry.”  Proverbs 25:4

Who knew the Bible understood silver smelting for jewelry? Yet the next verse is a direct extension of the analogy. It reveals that the wisdom of Solomon is not for jewelry but for the government of his kingdom. He gives us the answer for corruption in government. Remove the wicked corrupt people!

“Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness. “Proverbs 25:5
 
​”For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”  Romans 13:3-4

Whatever you think about the second Trump presidency, he is certainly following the wisdom of Solomon in Proverbs. It is our responsibility as citizens to stand with him in that goal. Amazing corruption is being uncovered at this time and he is “removing the dross.” We should pray for righteousness to be established in our government. This applies to Israel as well, if not more so. I believe Yehovah God has raised up both Trump and Netanyahu, not because they are pure, but because they are purifiers. Pray for them!

“This is That!” Ancient Bible Prophecy

The exciting thing about living in the end times is the rapid fulfillment of ancient prophesies. When Peter observed the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost he declared: “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;” Acts 2:16 KJV Jesus used that phrase about Himself as the bread of life as the fulfillment of the manna from heaven during the Exodus: “This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.” John 6:58 KJV         

Yet there are many more such fulfillments. This past year in my travels I emphasized several more ancient “This is that” prophecies that are being fulfilled in our day.

  1. Psalm 102 describes the Holocaust and then plainly says: “You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
    For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.” Psalm 102:13 NKJV In 1948 Israel was miraculously reborn. This is that spoken by the Psalm.
  2. Psalm 83 describes the Arab nations bordering Israel that attacked from 1948 on, fulfilling the Psalm.  “Deal with them as with Midian, As with Sisera, As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,” Just as with Gideon and the Midianites,” Psalm 83:9 NKJV God caused the Arabs to fight against one another. We see this era ending with the Abraham Accords. This is that spoken by the Psalm.
  3. Amos 1:6 speaks of the present Gaza war, which is Israel fourth war with Hamas. “Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity To deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7 NKJV  This is that fourth time when Hamas in Gaza is defeated!
  4. Two more are still to come! Isaiah 17 speaks of the destruction of Damascus which has never happened in history. But it is closer than ever with the fall of the Syrian dictator Assad. “The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.” Isaiah 17:1 NKJV When we see this happen, we will say this is that spoken by Isaiah!
  5. Isaiah 19 describes a time of peace with a highway connecting Syria, Israel, and Egypt. “In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.” Isaiah 19:23 NKJV  This is that spoken by the Psalm. We are indeed living in exciting times of Biblical fulfillment, showing again that Yehovah God keeps His word. Every single promised word will come to pass! Hallelujah!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the hostages, the Prime Minister, and for rain in the land of Israel.

Ceasefire Contradictions! Grab the Popcorn

Hope is rising with the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. I pray the hostages will indeed be released. However, there are serious downsides as well. Hamas has never kept their word to this point. One should never pay ransom to terrorists, it only incentivizes more hostage taking and terror. Here is a quote from a well respected Israeli columnist, Hillel Fuld, a proud Zionist. (Remember that a Zionist is simply a person who believes that God gave the land of Israel to the Jews.)

“If this deal goes through, the very same people who have been yelling genocide for the past year and talking about how Israel killed so many people and caused so much damage, are the same people who are going to be yelling victory. 
 
So which one is it? Did we commit genocide or did you win? Can’t be both. 
But here’s the thing. This isn’t their first contradiction of their own story. 
 
– The hostages are fed well and there is no food in Gaza. Which one is it?
– Gaza was an open air prison and Gaza was paradise before 10/7. Which one is it? 
– The Holocaust never happened and Hitler was right. Which one is it? 
– Globalize the intifada and ceasefire now. Which one is it? 
– Israel is lying about 10/7 and it was the proudest day in our history and we’ll do it over and over. Which one is it? 
– From the river to the sea and two state solution. Which one is it? 
 
Here’s the thing. You don’t have to know history. You don’t even have to know anything about the conflict. All you have to do if you want to know which side is good and which side is evil is look at their own narrative. They can’t stop contradicting themselves. 
 
If there was any truth to their story, why do they keep getting caught blatantly and openly lying? Why the Palywood? Why the fake babies? Why the staged casualties? 
 
Here’s a riddle. When does the pro Palestinian activist lie? The answer: When he/she opens their mouth.  
They can’t stop lying. They can’t stop contradicting themselves. That’s what happens when your entire identity from day one is a lie. 
That’s what happens when the “Founder” of the Palestinian movement is a terrorist who was himself born in Egypt. Don’t believe me? Go read up about Arafat. 
 
The whole thing is the most elaborate lie in history. Just listen to their contradictions and you’ll know.

Remain sober minded about the stages of the ceasefire. Expect Hamas to break the agreement at any point yet pray for success. This time is different. When Hamas violates the deal Israel will be able to finish them off with the full backing of President Trump and the United States. Hamas cannot be allowed to remain and rebuild. Israel will stay in control until trustworthy leaders emerge in Gaza.

“So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, Yehovah, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, Yehovah, have spoken it, and I will do it.Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock. Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I amYehovah.”   Ezekiel 36:35-38

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for rain for the land. Pray for truth and righteousness.

A Time for Seeking

We are living in a time of great transition. Wildfires, wars, terrorism, and political upheaval crowd the headlines. Everything that can be shaken, will be shaken. We are in transition. As the world waits the inauguration of President Trump the shaking is increasing. What does it mean? What is happening? If you have ever sought God, this is the time. ls there a purpose for the shaking? Consider this.

“Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”  Hebrews 12:27-28

Things that are shakable will be removed and God’s unshakable Kingdom will remain standing. Therefore it makes sense to seek Him. Millions of believers are currently fasting and praying for mercy and blessing in this new year. Donald Trump is already changing the world scene, but he is not the Savior, as he himself has said multiple times. There is One higher that is in control. We should seek Him! Yeshua (Jesus) is our only hope. He is the Messiah, the son of Yehovah God. Seek Him!

​“Seek Yehovah while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. ​​Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; ​​Let him return to Yehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. ​​“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says Yehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:6-9

Let us pray for mercy for those suffering from disasters and wars. Let us pray for mercy for the political transition, especially in the United States. And as always pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Thank God for the rain and snow that has watered the land of Israel.

Ruth and the Gentile Church

Stand with Israel

Now more than ever Christians need to stand with Israel for two reasons. We will be blessed according to God’s promise, and Israel will be comforted. When Ruth the Moabite chose to leave her own country and follow her mother in law Naomi to Israel, Ruth was blessed. She took her place in the genealogy of the Messiah Yeshua.

But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my  God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. Yehovah do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”  Ruth 1:16-17

This reference is engraved in our wedding rings regarding Doreen’s and my love for each other, but also our mutual covenant to stand with Israel.  – Israel’s God Yehovah is our God. – Israel’s Messiah Yeshua is our Messiah. We are part of the “one new man” as former Gentiles grafted into Israel by the Holy Spirit.

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,”  Ephesians 2:14-15

This unified new man is the only way to world peace through the Kingdom of God and His Son, Jesus. No wonder Satan is pumping up the anti-Semitism everywhere.

Hanukkah Saved Christmas

Christmas evening is the first night of Hanukkah this year, thus the cute pic. A major military victory was won by the Jewish Maccabees over the Greek occupiers 160 years before Yeshua came as a baby. That victory is still celebrated today as Hanukkah the Festival of Lights. It is also called the Feast of Dedication because the temple was rededicated after the Greeks had blasphemed the Temple Mount.

When the Israelites Revolted Against the Ancient Greeks –  “The Greek king, Antiochus IV, decided to ban the Jewish religion. He outlawed Jewish religious practices, such as the observance of the Sabbath or offering sacrifices at the temple in Jerusalem. Even owning a copy of the Jewish Scriptures ran the risk of the death penalty. Beyond this, Antiochus even made a point of desecrating the temple. He sacrificed a pig, which was a religiously unclean animal to the Jews, on the altar at the temple and set up an idol of Zeus on the holy Temple Mount. This was highly offensive to the Jews, since the temple was sacred to their god Yahweh, or Jehovah.”

If the Jews had not saved the temple Yeshua could not have fulfilled Micah’s prophecy of the Messiah. He was in the temple for His circumcision on the eighth day, His dedication at 40 days, and again when He was twelve. Of course He was there many other times through His life and ministry. That is how Hanukkah saved Christmas.

“Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says Yehovah of hosts.  Malachi 3:1

“Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.” John 10:22

One more important point connects the Festival of Lights with Jesus, the Light of the World. The miracle supply of oil for the temple menorah points to lighting the candles just as Jesus became the Light. He then shares His light with all who receive Him and follow Him.

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”John 8:12

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”  Matthew 5:14

Before Gog and Magog

There is a rush to declare that the prophesied Ezekiel 38 Gog and Magog war is now happening or is imminent. With the fall of Syria a wave of excitement surged through students of Bible prophecy. However, it is premature. There are several conditions that must be met before that invasion. Certainly prophecies are being fulfilled right before our eyes, but all the players are not yet in position for that event. The danger of jumping ahead to that war is that we miss what Yehovah God is doing in the interim. Remember that are view must be informed by Scripture over political events. Here are some prerequisites that must be in place before Gog and Magog. Much more could be said about each point.

Players – Israel must be at real peace. Turkey must be out of NATO. Iran must fall and come back later. Sudan must leave the Abraham Accords, Libya must emerge as a threat. Jordan/East Bank must be more solidly with Israel. Judea and Samaria/West Bank must be at peace with no terrorists and probably annexed into Israel.

Prophecies – Egypt and Syria must join with Israel and build a highway connecting the three, Isaiah 19. Damascus must be destroyed and never be a city again, Isaiah 17. Contrast between coalition countries named in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38. No country in both lists.

Progress – Saudi Arabia must make peace with Israel. Abraham Accords must expand quickly. Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia must be recognized as the mountain of Moses and lead to huge tourism jointly with Israel Isaiah 60:6-7. Some Palestinians will emigrate to other countries, those remaining will be happy citizens of Israel. Gaza will be annexed.

Will Syria become a battleground between Turkey and Israel?

“After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”  Luke 10:1-2

“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.”  John 4:35-36

This last great time of peace will see a world wide awakening to the Gospel of Jesus. Pray that you can do your part in this great harvest time!

Simeon of Jerusalem

I have not gone up to the Temple as often since I have gotten older, but today I just had to go. There was a sound inside of me as clear as a shofar calling to worship. Even though it was shoulder to shoulder because of children’s dedication day, the Holy Spirit compelled me to go today.

I am trembling with joy and can hardly see through my tears to write down what happened. For so long I have waited to see the Messiah as we all have, but God had spoken so clearly that I would live to see Messiah myself. It was really exciting for me as a young man when He spoke that promise to me. I believed Him with all my heart.

But I must admit I sometimes doubted that promise I heard from Yehovah many years ago, especially with my advancing age, but I could not give up on it. It was so clear. He spoke to my heart that I would live to see the promised Messiah of Israel with my own eyes! After nearly four thousand years it was nearly impossible to believe that one of such minor value as me would have such an extraordinary privilege.

There had to be several hundred dedications there today, but when I came up it was like the Red Sea parted and the Holy Spirit led me right to one particular mother holding her child. They were not different from the others; I just knew they were the ones I was supposed to see. She did not know me, but somehow trusted me to hold Him in my arms.

As soon as I did, my heart was on fire. It was from the inside, but even my body was shaking as I realized instantly that we had all been wrong expecting the Messiah to be a grown man, a conquering King. This child was the Messiah! My head was spinning, but my heart was sure. This little one is the Promise! My theology fell away. It doesn’t matter how to explain it. I know.

Immediately, words came out of my mouth like I was Elijah, or Isaiah, or Zechariah. I have never known anything like I know this. I had to write this down, now, before I forget a single word. I spoke the words, but the Ruach HaKodesh, the Spirit of the Holy One, was revealing everything to me as I declared the truth! This is what I said to her and her husband, but especially to her.

“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace (shalom), according to Your word; ​​For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:29-32

I really am ready to die now in perfect shalom. God kept His word to me! Yehovah’s salvation has come in human form! I saw Him! I don’t understand how, but He is the Messiah. He is going to be seen somehow by the whole world, not only Israel. How can it happen? I don’t know; but He will be revealed as Savior to everyone in the world and yet will glorify Israel more than ever. I stopped speaking for a moment as we sort of took it all in. The father, Joseph, and his wife, Mary, were as astounded as I was at the words I had spoken.

Then I felt led to speak a blessing over them and Mary specifically. Yet, it turned out to be more than a blessing, it was a prophecy. I am not sure I understand. But it was clearly supernatural, and I don’t question it. The Spirt seemed to indicate that unlike most nations that rise and fall and then disappear, Israel is soon to fall but will then rise again later! We were all so amazed! Also, the Child will be a sign that will create strong opposition that will personally bring pain to Mary. It is a mystery to me, but I know what I heard. There was a third effect as well. The coming revelation of this Child will expose the secret thoughts of people’s hearts! The Messiah will break through everyone’s hard heart so that nothing will be hidden from Yehovah. Here are the exact words He gave me.

“Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2:34-35

I don’t know if anyone will ever read this, but I just had to get it recorded for a testimony to the truth I saw and heard today. The Messiah has come!

Why God’s Borders Matter

Israel River Borders

The expected fall of Syria to the jihadist rebels is a game changer regarding Biblical borders. They have taken Aleppo in the north, Hama, and have now entered Homs, on the road to Damascus. The rebels are remnants of Al Qaeda and Isis, with a few other miscellaneous bad guys thrown in. All of them hate Israel. The only one that could work with Israel is the Kurds. But the future borders of Israel are the prophetic focus. Israel has had many borders, but the most expansive definition is in Genesis when Yehovah gave Abram the “boundaries covenant.”

“On the same day Yehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates.”  Genesis 15:18

Notice that the Euphrates River cuts right through Syria. This civil war there seems to be changing the status quo of several borders. Although it is accelerating, it will not happen overnight, but it will happen. Israel has never yet reached those Genesis 15 borders. 

Also, we now see Isaiah 17 coming into focus. Damascus has never been totally destroyed in 5,000 years. Jerusalem has been destroyed at least eleven times and rebuilt each time. Yet, God told Isaiah that Damascus would disappear as a functioning city.

“The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap.”  Isaiah 17:1

If we understand the times prophetically, we can recognize Scripture being fulfilled as it is happening. No longer do we speculate about future possibilities; we see it in the present. This requires taking the Bible literally wherever possible. That is what excites me in my Bible study. Ask yourself where we are in the prophetic timeline of the Bible. What is happening now?

If we take Genesis 15 literally, we see the ultimate reality of Israel’s borders as a baseline. So, when we see the developments in Syria and Lebanon, and even Gaza, we see God’s ancient covenant promise coming true in the present day.

I have said before, God is not a globalist, He is a nationalist. He establishes the nations throughout history and even defines their borders. Therefore, we take literally His promises for Israel’s borders.

“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,”  Acts 17:26

Read the news with understanding of the times from God’s perspective. It will give you insight, but more importantly peace, knowing that Yehovah is working from an eternal plan to accomplish His purpose in the nations and peoples of the earth. May His almighty will be done!

Who do you thank this week? Thanksgiving is about thanking God for His goodness. Here is a suggestion for your family meal. Read Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Proclamation during the civil war, and then take turns thanking God for all He has done for you personally.

Washington DC, October 3, 1863 – Proclamation By the President of the United States of America.

The year that is drawing towards its close, has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature, that they cannot fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever watchful providence of Almighty God.

In the midst of a civil war of unequalled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign States to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere except in the theatre of military conflict; while that theatre has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union.

WHO is at the Top of Jacob’s Ladder?

There is a Person at the top of Jacob’s ladder who makes all the difference today in the Middle East and the world. Jacob’s dream is about 2025. This dream was a stand alone monumental declaration to Jacob and his descendants. This is not the time he wrestled with the angel. This dream was a unique visitation for one profound purpose. Yehovah confirmed and extended His promise given to Abraham and Isaac.

“As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. At the top of the stairway stood YEHOVAH, and he said, “I am Yehovah, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions—to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”  Genesis 28:12-15

Yehovah God was at the top of the stairs! He confirmed the promise in seven parts.

  1. The GROUND BELONGS to YOU!
  2. You will have multitudes of descendants in all directions.
  3. ALL the families of the earth blessed through you!
  4. I am with you.
  5. I will protect you.
  6. I will bring you back to THIS LAND.
  7. I will give you EVERYTHING I have PROMISED you.

We are living in the precise fulfillment of His promise as we rejoice in the restoration of Israel to their land, piece by piece, winning it city by city just as in Joshua’s day. This applies to Gaza, Judea and Samaria (West Bank), and to portions of Lebanon and Syria. Once again we see the faithfulness of God. His words are true because He is Truth! His words and character agree. Hallelujah!

Will Israel Annex West Bank?

(Greetings from my ministry trip in Sandpoint, Idaho – speaking Friday 7pm at River of Life and Sunday 10am at New Life Church)

Judea and Samaria, also called West Bank, may soon be added to Israel sovreignty. The election of Donald Trump has completely upended the status quo in Israel. A new day is dawning. Look for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords soon after January 20. Of course we know the Bible has clearly included Judea and Samaria in Israel since ancient times. They were part of the original allotment of the tribes of Israel under Joshua. (See Joshua Chapters 13-20.)

“These are the areas which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel distributed as an inheritance to them. Their inheritance was by lot, as Yehovah had commanded by the hand of Moses,”  Joshua 14:1-2

Already, strong statements have been made since the election of Trump, by Prime Minister Netanyahu and Mike Huckabee. Mike is Trump’s pick as our new U.S. Ambassador to Israel. These are exciting days indeed!

Huckabee: Annexing Judea and Samaria ‘of course’ a possibility – Former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee, who boasts an impressive record of Israel support, called his appointment as an “extraordinary opportunity.” “Mike Huckabee, whom US President-elect Donald Trump nominated on Tuesday to ambassador to the Jewish state, told Israel’s Army Radio in his first interview since the announcement that “of course” the annexation of Judea and Samaria is a possibility under a second Trump White House.”

Netanyahu: ‘Annexation when Trump returns’ – The Prime Minister said recently in closed talks that after Trump’s entry into the White House, the issue of sovereignty over the Judea and Samaria areas should be revisited. His remarks join those of the remarks of Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich who said yesterday that “2025 will, God willing, be the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Smotrich also said that “the only way to remove this threat from the agenda is to apply Israeli sovereignty to the settlements in Judea and Samaria. This is our answer to Sinwar, may his name and memory be erased, and to all the Nazis along the axis from Iran, Hezbollah, Yemen to what remains of Hamas terrorists in Gaza and the terrorists in Judea and Samaria,” said Smotrich.”

We have so much to thank God for and we still have much to pray for in the next two months of transition. This is a historic opportunity for a new beginning of genuine peace in the Middle East. Thank you Jesus!

Trump’s Win and Israel

(Greetings from my ministry trip in Idaho)

What does the Trump victory mean for Israel? Most Israelis are rejoicing. His previous term was great for Israel. He moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem, recognized Jerusalem as the eternal capitol, and recognized the Golan as part of Israel. But the biggest was concluding the Abraham Accords, paving the way to peace and economic cooperation with several Arab nations. I have predicted for several months that a Trump win would lead to Saudi Arabia joining the Accords by the end of March. We will see if it happens that fast. When the Saudis join several more countries will soon follow.

I believe there will be a time of extraordinary peace for Israel after the defeat of Iran and their terror proxies very soon. If you notice the early verses of Ezekiel 38, Israel is at an amazing peace just before the Gog & Magog invasion. Verse 8 tells the timing. The attack comes after Israel is regathered from the nations. That time is now! Note the phrases in bold:

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.”  Ezekiel 38:8

“You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.’”  Ezekiel 38:10

“Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?”  Ezekiel 38:10

Seven references in these three verses declare the degree of peace and security Israel will be enjoying at the time of that invasion. These conditions have not been true at any time since 1948,

  1. They all dwell safely.
  2. Unwalled villages.
  3. Peaceful people.
  4. Dwell safely.
  5. Without walls.
  6. Having neither bars nor gates.
  7. My people Israel dwell safely.

I believe Israel will defeat Iran and its terror proxies soon and usher in a time of peace described in the above verses. To experience such peace and security, Israel must not be threatened in any way during that season. You can understand that they cannot relax for some time even after the victory.

It follows that Israel will therefore need to take out Iran’s nuke threat. I believe that action is imminent. Hamas is virtually defeated. Hezbollah’s arsenal has been depleted by 80% according to the IDF and all the top 18 leaders have been eliminated. In addition, over 5,000 of their mid-level commanders have been removed by the genius pager and walkie talkie attacks. This all happened in the last six weeks. Israel’s victorious advantage will continue to the end with Yehovah God’s help.

Finally, the stage is set for Israel to win just as President Trump returns. He said in his acceptance speech that God had spared him from the assassination attempts for a purpose. Let us pray that he will boldly lead our nation to stand foursquare with Israel in the fulfillment of God’s eternal promises. Shalom, shalom.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, wisdom for their leaders, protection for the troops, and salvation for Jews and Arabs alike in the name of Yeshua ben Yehovah!

Nursing Mother Forget Her Baby?

This unusual question reveals a marvelous side of God that few understand. Of course a nursing mother cannot forget her child. But the analogy is about the love and character of Yehovah God. The obvious reason a mother can’t forget her nursing child is because the mother’s body is producing milk that must be released from her body to the baby. We must grasp the fact that there is something internal with God Himself that must be released in action benefiting Israel.

But Zion said, “Yehovah has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.” ​​“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? ​​Surely they may forget, ​​Yet I will not forget you. ​​See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.”  Isaiah 49:14-16

That is what I love about God. Deep within His own being, He will not forget Zion. Even if a mother forgets her child, He will never forget Israel. This glorious truth is now on display in the supernatural restoration, blessing, and favor of modern Israel. Yet, there is still more revealed in this passage. When He refers to inscribing them on the palms of His hands, He refers to Jesus hanging on the cross. And then we learn that the Messiah is not only for Israel’s salvation, but also for all the world to every one who will receive Him.

I must confess that I always felt my love for Him was somehow lacking. I believed but something was missing. When I read this Isaiah quote this week I was moved to tears. God loves us so much He can’t help Himself. He is faithful because He cannot deny Himself, He is inherently love in His true most basic essence. Therefore, He is faithful, unchanging, dependable, and totally trustworthy. I love that about Him! My love for Him keeps deepening and expanding with each new revelation. It is beyond what He does, beyond what He says, it is Who He is!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, victory over her enemies, and rain in this rainy season.

After Israel Has Returned To Their Land

Now that Hamas has been defeated, there is discussion about “the day after.” However, let us take a step back and look at the big picture. First, in Gaza, Israel will stay and insure safety and demilitarization. There is no turning back to terrorist control. It’s over. Israel won! 

But God has a master plan of regathering all the exiles of Israel from all over the earth, with a few million more to come. It is happening every day, but what about “the day after” the return and restoration? What will Israel look like then? Here are just a few of His promises after they returned, highlighted in bold from Jeremiah 31. 

“Hear the word of Yehovah, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ​‘​He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’ ​​For Yehovah has redeemed Jacob and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. ​​Therefore, they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, streaming to the goodness of Yehovah. ​​For wheat and new wine and oil, for the young of the flock and the herd; their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, and they shall sorrow no more at all.”

​​“Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together; for I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and make them rejoice rather than sorrow. ​​I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says Yehovah.”  Jeremiah 31:10-14

This is quite the list – Gather, keep, redeem, ransom, sing, well-watered soul, no sorrow, rejoice in dance, abundance, and satisfaction with God’s goodness!

While in the heat of battle and intensity of attacks, remember the God of Israel. Christians worship the same God Yehovah. There is personal application for us also, as we discern great fear, distress, and dread hanging over America like a cloud. Even for us, in spite of the election pressures, God is on the Throne. He has a purpose and promises for believers personally and also for our nation. Do we deserve His judgement? Of course we do. However, He may not quite be finished with our nation. I pray for His mercy, not justice. I don’t want to get what we deserve. I pray that we will be a sheep nation who remains faithful to Him at the last. Let us be merciful with the character of our loving Father God.

“For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”  James 2:13

Amos 1:6 Sinwar Is Dead

On the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Yahya Sinwar, Head of Hamas, was eliminated. We pray that Hamas will surrender now and release the 101 hostages, including four American citizens. Remember Yehovah revealed to Amos that He would not turn away His punishment or judgment of Gaza because this was their fourth transgression against Israel.

If Israel stops fighting before eliminating Hamas, Israel loses and Hamas wins. The Hamas Charter calls for the total annihilation of the Jews, not land for peace. They don’t care how many civilians are killed, except for world sympathy. Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu need our prayers for the courage to finish this war. I have shared this text several times since Oct 7, but let me emphasize one more time. This is God’s judgement of the wickedness of Hamas. Yehovah will not turn it away this time. This literally is the fourth Gaza war.

Thus says Yehovah: ​​“For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, ​​I will not turn away its punishment, ​​Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. ​​But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.  Amos 1:6-7

Gaza Hamas Attacks Israel Wars:

2008 – Operation Cast Lead

2012 – Operation Pillar of Defense

2014 – Operation Protective Edge

2023 – Operation Swords of Iron So, this is the 4th Gaza war. Pray it ends with total Hamas surrender!

The Fall Feasts began with Trumpets/Rosh HaShanah with Iran attacking Israel with 201 ballistic missiles and the miracle of God’s protection that no Israelis were killed. On Yom Kippur, Israel’s holiest day,  Hezbollah terrorists fired 320 missiles from Lebanon, yet with few injuries. A great miracle involved a direct hit on a retirement home that included Holocaust survivors. No one was injured!

Yom Kippur Miracle: Drone strikes old-age home; no injuries – Israeli President Isaac Herzog highlighted a particularly concerning target of the attack. “Hezbollah’s latest targets were elderly Jews and Holocaust survivors in a retirement home,”

You may notice a pattern here with the Feast days. We still await Israel’s serious and surprising counter attack on Iran. Tabernacles runs to October 24th. Will it be during or after this Feast? Pray for wisdom and courage for Netanyahu and his advisors. Pray that his top advisor will be Yehovah God.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”  Romans 8:31-35

Surprising Iran/Yom Kippur

Friday sundown is the start of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement for Jews. It is a time of sober repentance and soul searching. This year Israel is preparing a devastating response to Iran’s attacks of April 13 and October 1. They sent over 500 ballistic missiles at the sovereign state of Israel in an unprovoked attack simply because the Ayatollah hates Jews. This was more ballistic missiles fired than any time in history. Only by Israel’s defenses and the miracle protection of Yehovah God did Israel escape with no fatalities.

Saturday is a double Shabbat, so I don’t expect Israel to attack before Sunday. However, Israel’s Defense Minister Gallant warned of a surprise so pay attention and pray! He says Iran won’t know what happened or how it happened! Wow! Stay tuned.

Gallant: “When we respond, Iran won’t know what happened or how it happened” – Defense Minister Gallant says during a visit to the Intelligence Directorate: “The Iranian attack was aggressive but imprecise, our response will be powerful, precise and surprising.”

You may think that is bravado, except in the context of the beeper and walkie-talkie hit on Hezbollah last month. Israel has been preparing for Iran for over 20 years. Iran simply cannot be allowed to have nukes and they are on the brink by all reports. Add to this the fact that Yehovah has promised His protection. Already many are saying this Israeli turn around from one month ago is historic. It is compared to the 1948 miracle victory, and the miraculous Six Day War defeat of five Arab armies with the Hand of God. 

Remember I have been saying for several years that this is not Iran’s prophetic time. They will be prominent in the Gog and Magog War of Ezekiel 38. There must be a time of peace preceding that war beyond anything yet experienced by modern Israel. (Please, just carefully read Ezek. 38:1-11 describing Israel’s extraordinary peace at the time of that invasion.)

What seemed impossible a month ago is now happening. We are seeing the defeat of the Iranian terror proxies Hamas and Hezbollah and the others. This leaves Iran at their most vulnerable since 1979. One more thing to watch is the destruction of Damascus of Isaiah 17. It could be imminent.

If I am right, and if Trump wins, expect Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords by the end of March, along with several other countries. I am not prophesying, just connecting the dots. Let’s watch and pray together. God has helped throughout Israel’s history as seen here:

“Moreover, Uzziah prepared for all the army shields, spears, helmets, body armor, bows and sling stones. In Jerusalem he made engines of war invented by skillful men to be on the towers and on the corners for the purpose of shooting arrows and great stones. Hence his fame spread afar, for he was marvelously helped until he was strong.”  2 Chronicles 26:14-15 NASB 1995

God supplied “engines of war invented by skillful men.” Does this sound like Israel today? Pray for God’s hand in the defense of Israel. He did not regather them from 150 countries to nuke them. 

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”  Romans 8:31

Are You Paying Attention to the Bridges?

Are your bridges getting blown up or washed away? If you haven’t noticed, everything is shaking, everything is changing. Acceleration! It is happening so fast, it is head-spinning. Every year or two a game-changer type event would take place. Now it is every week, or every day it seems. Here is just one week: Hurricane Helene kills over 200 (and rising) and destroys scores of bridges (along with entire villages). Netanyahu speaks to the UN and Israel eliminates the 32 year leader of Hezbollah, the world’s most deadly terrorist group. Iran fires 200 ballistic missiles at Israel as the IDF enters Lebanon and Israel prepares to attack Iran. All of this as we observe the Feast of Trumpets and Rosh Hashanah on the Biblical calendar. The bridges to past norms are gone. Only God’s word is unchangeable. Acceleration, pedal to the metal time! We are through the nine month gestation and into the last of the birth pangs. The birth of a new Kingdom is imminent.

“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.  “Matthew 24:7-8 ESV

“See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.”  Hebrews 12:25-29

Yet, with this all happening we must remain steadfast in faith. We still have a job to do. We are not sitting on a roof with white robes waiting. This is a time for activation. Those who know Yehovah God will function in dysfunctional times and situations. Preach the Gospel. Help your neighbor. Stand for righteousness in the public square. Intercede for Israel’s victory in Yehovah’s purposes. For many it is overwhelming, but we are not overcome. We must hold fast our faith.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…”  2 Corinthians 4:7-8

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”  Revelation 12:11-12

Are you dwelling in the heavens or the earth? We can live in spiritual overcoming victory even in the midst of earthly terror and turmoil. This last verse is not about future but about overcoming in the present, in spite of everything shaking. The Holy Spirit is with us if we live or die. He is our comforter. Verse eleven starts with “they overcame him,” not “they were overcome.” We can overcome. We will overcome the devil’s purpose. We have read the end of the Book, we win!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, pray for those still fighting in the Carolina mountains, and pray for victory over all of God’s enemies.

The Party of Allah

Hezbollah literally translated is “party of Allah.” Make no mistake. Israel is in the middle of a cosmic clash between the living God Yehovah and the pagan idol usurper. I usually don’t use the name of that god, but you need to know the difference.

“And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.”  Exodus 23:13

“You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”  Exodus 23:32-33

The god of Islam is not the same as Yehovah. Their god is not a father and has no son according to the Koran. The Jesus (Isa) of the Koran did not die or raise from the dead. That is a denial of the only blood sacrifice of Jesus that paid for our salvation and fulfilled all the promises of the Promised ONE! Do not miss the importance of using the name of Yehovah (Jehovah or Yahweh). It is His name. Use of the generic “god” dilutes the distinction. Say His name!

“Not unto us,O Yehovah, not unto us, ​​but to Your name give glory​Why should the Gentiles say, ​​“So where is their God?” ​​But our God is in heaven; ​​He does whatever He pleases. ​​Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. ​​They have mouths, but they do not speak; ​​Eyes they have, but they do not see; ​​They have ears, but they do not hear; ​Noses they have, but they do not smell; ​​They have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat. ​​Those who make them are like them;​​So is everyone who trusts in them. ​​O Israel, trust in Yehovah;”  Psalm 115:1-9

“Who is the liar but he who denies that Yeshua is the Messiah? This is the Anti-messiah, he who denies the Father and the Son.”  1 John 2:22 HNV

We serve the living God Yehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the God of Israel, the One true God the Father. We worship Yeshua, Jesus the Son of Yehovah! Hallelujah!

Beepers, Walkie Talkies, and the Bible

Over 5,000 Hezbollah casualties hit with pinpoint precision by the unprecedented surprise attack. Virtually every single one was a terrorist. Some are comparing it to the preemptive Six Day War wipeout of Egypt and Syria’s air force. Please remember one clear background fact. Hezbollah has fired over 8,000 rockets into Israel since the October 7th massacre eleven months ago, which included dozens of rapes of Israeli wives and daughters. War in Lebanon is on the brink.

Does this relate at all to the Bible? Is it connected to prophecy? Israel Today linked the pagers to the rape of Dinah in Genesis 34.

“Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.”  Genesis 34

After the Hivite man had defiled Dinah, Jacob’s sons agreed to peace with the Hivites if they would circumcize all their males to which it was agreed. Then on the third day, while they were still in pain, Simeon and Levi killed every male and took a spoil. This may be the pattern that Israel is pursuing today.

Today, as I write, it is the third day since the pager attack. If not today, then soon Israel will enter Lebanon to enforce UN Resolution 1701 which ended the 2006 Lebanon War. It was agreed for a buffer zone of 10-20 miles from Israel’s border north to the Litani River in Lebanon and the complete disarmament of Hezbollah. This never happened and Hezbollah uses that buffer zone to fire rockets and even to prepare the same kind of invasion that Hamas did from Gaza. Israel simply cannot allow it and must at least push them back to the River.

Now it came to pass on the third day, when they were in pain, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword and came boldly upon the city and killed all the males. And they killed Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah from Shechem’s house, and went out. The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and plundered the city, because their sister had been defiled.”  Genesis 34

Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am Yehovah their God.”  Ezekiel 28:25-26

A few points to remember from Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram channel:

🔸 Hezbollah is an Iranian-proxy terrorist organization.

🔸 Like Hamas, Hezbollah also has genocidal intentions to annihilate Israel, which they have made repeatedly clear and have sought to act out on those intentions.

🔸 Hezbollah joined Hamas on Oct 8th and has since fired over 8,500 rockets at Israel, with daily attacks.

🔸 43 people in Israel have been murdered in the Hezbollah attacks, including 12 children in the Majdal Shams massacre.

🔸 Over 80,000 Israelis have also been displaced from the north of the country, as a result of ongoing Hezbollah fire.

🔹 Accordingly, Israel is fully entitled under international law, including but not limited to Art. 51 of the UN Charter, to exercise its right to self-defense.

🔹 If the pager attack today was indeed carried out by Israel (albeit that has not been confirmed and no proof provided), this response was carried out fully in accordance with international law, including principles of proportionality.

After generations of terror, Hezbollah finally suffered a reckoning – Thousands of terrorists were hit in the single greatest targeted attack on an Islamic terror group.

More than ever we need to pray for wisdom and courage for Israel’s leaders and that they will listen to Yehovah God for direction.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and rain as we begin the rainy season.

Last Days: Good or Bad?

Yes, both! As we approach the Second Coming of our Messiah Jesus, many wonder if life will get better or worse. The answer is yes. The future for the wicked is bleak and hopeless. However, it is different for those who have made peace through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God. We too will go through tough times, but He will be with us and give us supernatural peace.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Some translations say “peace that passes understanding.” I call it peace that doesn’t make sense. We had a house fire back in 2001 and stood watching 40 foot flames from the roof. Yet, Doreen looked at me and said: “I’m sure glad I wore my comfortable shoes.” My comment was: “l sure didn’t see that coming.” We had real supernatural peace. We certainly could not have faked in that circumstance. No, we actually experienced peace from God above. It was tangible. We needed Him and He was there with us. Habakkuk described the same reaction in the worst of times:

“Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in Yehovah! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Yehovah is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”  Habakkuk 3:17-19 NLT

Elections in the U.S, war in Israel and Europe, economic collapse, WWIII? or maybe a season of peace and prosperity? As the song says: We don’t know what the future holds, but we know Who hold the future.” Do not lose hope. Stand in faith! God is faithful!

“For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”  Romans 3:3-4

Good Kings and Bad Kings Matter

The next two months are critical for Western civilization which is founded on Judeo Christian precepts. The elections in America and the war in Israel sober us regarding national leadership. If we learn anything from the Bible, the courage and steadfastness of the king makes all the difference. Sadly most kings were selfish and rebelled from God’s ways. I often ask who was the first king of Israel? Most will say King Saul, but they would be wrong. God was King long before Israel demanded a human king “like the other nations.” So, God gave them Saul who only served himself, like the kings of other nations. Yet, Yehovah God in His mercy rejected Saul as king and raised up King David. 

“But now your kingdom shall not continue. Yehovah has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and Yehovah has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what Yehovah commanded you.”  1 Samuel 13:14

Later on, after numerous bad kings, God raise up another good king. King Josiah was only eight years old when he became king, but God specifically described his character and steadfastness.

“Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. …..And he did what was right in the sight of Yehovah, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.”  2 Kings 22:1-2

Now, in 2024, the future of the West may be decided. We must hear from God when we vote, and when we pray. How should we pray? Pray that our leaders will be chosen by God. Pray that they will have humility and wisdom and that they will hear the Holy Spirit in every decision. God will guide them if they listen and do not turn to the right hand or the left. Pray they follow the path blazed by Jesus our Messiah. Pray that they love God and set Him as the foundation of their government. Pray that they will do what is right in the sight of Yehovah and His Son, Yeshua. 

“And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”  Luke 24:27

How wonderful it would have been to have walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus when He opened all of history to those disciples. There has never been a greater teaching before or since. Pray that our leaders will find salvation and the fulness of the Holy Spirit. Pray that they will walk with Jesus, listen well, turn not to the right or left, and that they will do what is right in the sight of Yehovah!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
