God spoke to Moses from a bush that burned without being consumed. Yehovah called the area “holy ground” and Moses had to remove his shoes. Where exactly did this conversation take place, geographically speaking?
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of Yehovah appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.” Exodus 3:1-2
He was at a mountain called Horeb, which is another name for Sinai, (by the agreement of most scholars). Notice that this incident occurred when Moses was living in Midian, which is located in what today is Saudi Arabia, east of the right tongue of the Red Sea. Also note that Horeb was called “the mountain of God.” There are three reasons why this is important.
First, the “burning bush” conversation was God’s call to Moses to set His people free from Egypt and included a little noticed geographic imperative. Moses was commanded to bring the freed children of Israel to the same mountain.
So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” Exodus 3:12
Secondly, the location had a more important purpose in God’s plan. That same mountain was where God gave the Ten Commandments. I never realized that this all happened in modern Saudi Arabia. There are multiple videos on YouTube about Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia. This is a major change from earlier archaeology.
Thirdly, there is an amazing prophecy in Isaiah 60 stating that the people from the same geographical area will ultimately worship Yehovah God in Jerusalem. Does this indicate the salvation of the Saudis? All the places in these two verses are in Saudi Arabia.
“The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of Yehovah. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and I will glorify the house of My glory.” Isaiah 60:6-7
Wow! They will be accepted at Yehovah’s altar in Jerusalem! Have you ever seen this? If this is a future prophecy, it indicates they will accept Yeshua as Messiah and Son of God, and join with Israel. What an amazing prophecy.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Israel + Saudi Arabia = Peace?
23 11 2020Breaking News Today! – Dramatic secret meeting between Israel and Saudi Arabia with Crown Prince Mohammed, Prime Minister Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. This just happened last night. It has been officially confirmed by Israel that the meeting took place. This is very clear evidence of a brewing peace deal. Here are fresh reports:
‘Huge Drama:’ Israelis Excited Over Netanyahu Meeting in Saudi Arabia – Saudi officials confirm secret meeting, sparking new hopes of peace
Netanyahu discussed normalization with Saudi Crown Prince – Senior Saudi official says Israeli PM and Saudi Crown Prince discussed normalization but did not reach any agreement in last night’s meeting
PM secretly meets with Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, Pompeo in Saudi Arabia – Mossad Director Yossi Cohen said to accompany Netanyahu on trip focused on Jerusalem-Riyadh ties, and possibly the signing of a peace accord with the Gulf power in the near future.
This major meeting has Israel and Saudi Arabia buzzing, as well as the rest of the Middle East. The possibilities are amazing as the Arab states choose to align with Israel to jointly resist Iran’s terror threats. The Iranian Shia Ayatollahs and Mullahs are sworn to the destruction of the Arab monarchies because of the ancient divisions of Islam between Shias and Sunnis. Naturally, there is opposition to the talks from Hamas in Gaza. Even the Arab members of Israel’s Knesset (Parliament) are exposed, as against peace.
Arab MKs condemn Netanyahu’s Saudi visit, warn it could spark war – Joint List lawmakers, who also opposed normalization with UAE and Bahrain, claim Trump and PM have ‘nothing to lose’; Hamas demands explanation from Riyadh
One final aspect is fascinating on a different level. This surprise talks were held in the new Saudi city of Neom on the Red Sea. This is a $500 BILLION project by MBS (Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman). But it happens to be right where Mt. Sinai is located. My theory is that MBS plans to use Mt. Sinai as the crown tourist attraction for his Neom project, and for this he needs peace and normal relations with Israel.
NEOM – AN ACCELERATOR OF HUMAN PROGRESS
For all of this we must be in much prayer. Remember what I have been saying about the future of Saudi Arabia according Isaiah 60. All the places in these two verses are in Saudi Arabia.
If you can believe the Bible, it says they will be accepted on Yehovah’s altar! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray and thank God for Israel’s rain.
