Pittsburgh Anti-Semitic Killer Treated by Jewish Staff

Our God is the God of mercy. How ironic that the head doctor at the hospital that cared for the anti-Semitic terrorist murderer in the synagogue is Jewish and the first three nurses and staff members healing him were also Jewish. Even in the darkest night the light will shine. One of the nurses is the daughter of a Rabbi. Praise the Lord for His love and mercy.

PITTSBURGH — Jewish doctors and nurses at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh put their personal feelings aside to help save the life of the man who allegedly claimed he wanted to “kill all the Jews” as he opened fire at a synagogue and murdered 11 worshipers. 

“He was taken to my hospital and he’s shouting, ‘I want to kill all the Jews’,” Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, president of Allegheny General Hospital and a member of the Tree of Life Synagogue, told ABC. “The first three people who took care of him were Jewish.”

Another nurse, whose father is a rabbi, “came in from a mass casualty drill and took care of this gentleman.”  Fox News

Yehovah God is able to make something good out of the most evil events. This was the most anti-Semitic attack in US history. According to the Jerusalem Post, anti-Semitic incidents increase by 60% in America in 2017. The 2016 breakdown of hate crimes showed that approximately 54% were anti-Jewish, 24% were anti-Islamic.

The Bible reveals evil, and clearly does not say all things are good. But it does say God can make evil things work out for His good purposes.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Pray for the families and survivors that they will find comfort in the God of Israel. Also, please continue to pray for rain in Israel and peace for Jerusalem.

European Union Kills Free Speech

Free speech is not free anymore in Europe. Last week, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), ruled that a woman who spoke a historical truth about Mohammed was guilty of speech violations and must pay a fine of 480 euros plus legal fees.

A European court has ruled that saying bad things about the Muslim prophet Mohammad is verboten, and state punishment is appropriate.
The European Court of Human Rights has ruled a woman convicted by an Austrian court of calling the Prophet Mohammed a paedophile did not have her freedom of speech rights infringed.
 
The woman, named only as Mrs. S, 47, from Vienna, was said to have held two seminars in which she discussed the marriage between the Prophet Mohammad and a six-year old girl, Aisha….Mrs S. was later convicted in February 2011 by the Vienna Regional Criminal Court for disparaging religious doctrines and ordered her to pay a fine of 480 euros plus legal fees. Prophecy News Watch

Calling Prophet Muhammad a pedophile does not fall within freedom of speech: European court The ECHR ruled against an Austrian woman who claimed calling the Prophet Muhammad a pedophile was protected by free speech. The applicant claimed she was contributing to public debate. 

 

SHOULD IT BE ILLEGAL TO CALL MOHAMMED A PAEDOPHILE? The ECHR have decided that truth is not a justification – Should you be allowed to say that the founder of one of the world’s largest religions was a paedophile? According to the European Court of Human Rights the answer is ‘no’. In a decision issued this week the Court in Strasbourg ruled that this statement is defamatory towards the prophet of Islam, ‘goes beyond the permissible limits of an objective debate’ and ‘could stir up prejudice and put at risk religious peace.’ 

To a Muslim, this is basic Sharia Law. Obvious. Blasphemous. In some Muslim countries, it is worthy of the death penalty. We need to be aware that curtailing free speech, even bad speech that we don’t like, will ultimately lead to the loss of free speech itself. If that ever happens in the U.S., our republic will fall. I remind you of a stark warning from the Bible:

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

That is why there will never be peace with Abbas, the Palestinian Authority, the PLO, or any other radical Muslim group. They hate Jews.

The only solution is the coming of the Messiah. Muslims and all others will only have peace if they accept the Jewish Messiah. Satan has opposed this from the beginning and will never relent. It is the age-old choice: life or death. Choose to follow Yehovah God of Israel and His Messiah Yeshua or choose the death cult of Islam.

John Fisk and I are in Challis, Idaho at Living Waters Ranch this weekend. My speaking session is Saturday afternoon; prayers appreciated. John and I are sharing amazing one on one time in this spectacular corner of the globe. “A brother assisted by a brother is like a lofty and fortified city.”

Christopher and Debbie James have a wonderful vision for this 2,700 acre ranch as a ministry refuge center for the West coast. Christopher also has a strong heart for Israel. I will be speaking on Ezekiel 36 which declares the end-time restoration, blessing and favor of God on Israel. Three news stories from other countries show once again that Israel makes news beyond its size. Israel is about one-tenth of one per cent, of the world’s population. Yet it is constantly in the news.

 

  1. Australian PM mulls recognizing Jerusalem as capital, moving embassy Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison told Israel’s prime minister that he is considering following in the footsteps of the Trump administration by formally recognizing Jerusalem as the country’s capital Monday. The potentially major shift in Australia’s foreign policy would align Morrison’s conservative government closer to the US and Israel, but likely draw widespread condemnation from the Arab Muslim world.

  2. Brazil’s Jews Move to Israel Amid Political Chaos Approximately 120,000 Jews live in Brazil and the country is witnessing an exodus like never before.

  3. Exodus: British (& Russian) Jews Join Global Flight and Leave for Israel The number of British Jews leaving the UK and seeking a new life in Israel has risen seven percent on last year’s figures, mirroring a sharp increase in Russian Jews also fleeing Europe. Overall, Israel saw the arrival of 18,965 immigrants under its Law of Return for Jews and their relatives, or olim, in the first eight months of 2018 compared to 19,067 in the same period last year, the Jerusalem Post reports.

Pray Supernatural Wisdom for Pres. Trump

Pastor Brunson, just freed from captivity in Turkey, prays for President Trump. He asks for supernatural wisdom. His wife also prays, for the Holy Spirit to be on our President. I think we should all take up this prayer for our President.

This second video is the entire Oval Office gathering. Watch especially at the very end from 18:30 to the 21:00 minute mark. Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina boldly proclaims Jesus and the Gospel, followed by Senator Tillis and Rep. Meadows. Well worth the time to watch. Praise Yehovah, the Lord God of Israel, and Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel. Hallelujah!

Nikki Haley – “We’ll be taking names”

He quite clearly expresses the strength of Nikki Haley as US Ambassador to the UN. Her unapologetic stand for Israel was clear when the UN tried to condemn the US for moving our Embassy to Jerusalem. That is why she is my hero. In addition, she is an outspoken Christian personally and also boldly defending persecuted Christians around the world.

The best of Nikki Haley – “We’ll be taking names” Most days at the UN, she was the only man in the room. Pray that Trump will find another. Those days of bowing to the nations are over, finished, and if there was one moment that defined her entire approach to the entire world, it came at her defense of Israel.

Precisely, it came after President Trump named Jerusalem the capital of Israel, a decision that angered the nations. They were so used to having Israel their way. Israel was their sport.

So they insisted on a do-over, which meant, as we recorded it here, a General Assembly resolution to protest Trump’s declaration. That included moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, which infuriated them even further—and which triggered Nikki Haley to rise to the occasion – and did she ever!

As follows: “At the UN we’re always asked to do more and give more. So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American people, about where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us. On Thursday there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. The U.S. will be taking names.”

Message sent. Message delivered. Message received…

…Sure enough foreign aid was cut to nations and agencies, like UNRWA and the PA, that were either wasteful or hateful, and always ungrateful.

Now they tiptoe around her.

Depending on who replaces her, the UN will never be the same again. She will have left her mark…and a triumphant mark it is. Tough shoes to fill…

LORD or YEHOVAH?

One of the most profound prayers in the Bible for both Jews and Christians is the high priestly prayer, benediction, and blessing in Number 6. Today I want to share the simple but critical necessity of using God’s name in the prayer. Custom dictates using the generic LORD (in all caps), instead of His actual name, Yehovah, which is clear in the Hebrew text. But, does it matter? Yes indeed! The necessity of using His name is revealed in the last verse of Numbers 6, which is never quoted along with the prayer. Notice first, both the added intimacy and power of using the name of Yehovah. Secondly, notice the virtually unknown intent of Yehovah Himself for declaring the blessing and protection of placing His name over us.

And YEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

​​​“YEHOVAH bless you and keep you; ​​YEHOVAH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;

​​YEHOVAH lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’ ​

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27

Don’t you think it is time to invoke His real name over His people and receive His promised blessing?

I Found the Right Word…

I Found the Right Word… Our nation has been transfixed on the Supreme Court nomination battle and I have been trying to think of the right word to describe the proceedings. These words came to mind, but were not exactly clear: despicable, deceitful, dishonest, misleading, confusing and threatening. However, this morning I realized the correct word: abomination.

Let me be clear and perhaps surprise you. I believe her. AND. I believe him. I believe she experienced something horrific, but I believe she was mistaken about who did it. You may see it differently, this is just my opinion. But the overall spectacle in the Senate’s pitiful handling of the “inquisition” is best described as an abomination to our nation.

How many of these seven things listed in Proverbs 6 apply to the Senate hearings?

These six things Yehovah hates,
​​Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
​​A proud look,
​​A lying tongue,
​​Hands that shed innocent blood,
​​A heart that devises wicked plans,
​​Feet that are swift in running to evil,
​​A false witness who speaks lies,
​​And one who sows discord among brethren.

Only “shedding innocent blood” is missing from the Senate hearings. The other six were on display in abundance. I share this today, as we await the FBI report, so we can focus our intercession on the real problem. Pray for truth!

(Doreen just commented that even innocent blood is part of the discussion because of Roe V Wade and the pro-life/abortion issue.)

I understand that Judge Kavanaugh’s wife, Ashley, has requested that believers pray Psalm 40 for their family. Here is a portion, but please pray the entire Psalm. What a great glory to God that their daughter included prayer for the accuser in their family prayers.

Be pleased, O Yehovah, to deliver me;
​​O Yehovah, make haste to help me!
​​Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion
​​Who seek to destroy my life;
​​Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor
​​Who wish me evil.
​​Let them be confounded because of their shame,
​​Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”
​
​​Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;
​​Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
​​“Yehovah be magnified!”
​​But I am poor and needy;
​​Yet Yehovah thinks upon me.

I am in New England ministering the next two weekends which span the 8 days of Sukkot or Feast of Tabernacles. With all the sober news in the world, a bit of humor is in order. I gleaned a few laughs from the Levitt Letter worth sharing:

Short Summary of every Jewish holiday: “They tried to kill us. We won. Let’s eat!”

There is a big controversy on the Jewish view of when life begins. In Jewish tradition the fetus is not considered viable until it graduates from medical school.

What’s the difference between a Rottweiler and a Jewish mother? Eventually, the Rottweiler lets go.

Jewish Adage: “You don’t stop laughing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop laughing.”

Repentance X 4

A-man_s-real-belief-is-that-which-he-lives-by.Maybe I had too much free time during Hurricane Florence this week, but my thoughts have turned to repentance. Also, Tuesday at sundown is the start of Yom Kippur, the highest holy day in the Jewish calendar, which happens to be about repentance. My “brain floaters” (see: Brain Floaters) even drifted over to the bombshell accusation of Judge Kavanaugh. Here are my four thoughts in order.

  1. Repent. We have already heard the usual criticisms of the weather forecasters for “exaggerating” the hurricane. And yet, thousands (probably millions) of people were praying that the possible Category 4 storm would diminish, turn out to sea, or in some way not be as bad as predicted. Their. Prayers. Were. Answered. I am sure there was a lot of repentance going on in the Carolinas. Yes, of course, it is still terrible. And the flooding will be terrible for weeks. But it was not a Cat 4! I personally saw SW Miami a few weeks after Hurricane Andrew. It was like a 30 mile wide tornado had roared through. There were no homes standing. Folks could not even find their streets because all landmarks were obliterated including trees and street signs leveled. Hurricane Florence hit as a Cat 1. Thank you merciful Father Yehovah God and Messiah Yeshua, for sparing us “the big one.”
  2. Yom Kippur is primarily about repentance where observant Jews acknowledges their need of forgiveness through repentance. In Judaism, Yehovah covers their sins for another year. In Jesus, our sins are taken away permanently. Hallelujah! The Judeo/Christian heritage is one of forgiveness and second chances.The prayers of Yom Kippur are focused on the confession of guilt and on petitioning, both privately and publicly, for mercy.

    But Messiah having come as a Kohen Gadol (high priest) of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.   3. Why read Jonah on Yom Kippur? The prayers of Yom Kippur are focused on the confession of guilt and on petitioning, both privately and publicly, for mercy. The entire Old Testament book of Jonah is read as part of the liturgy for Yom Kippur, because of its emphasis on God’s forgiveness for those who repent. (WRAL.com)        Connecting Jonah to Florence is easy. After Nineveh repented, God spared the city from utter destruction, and Jonah complained! He had prophesied destruction and God showed mercy. Moral?: Don’t complain that Florence was not as bad as predicted, be thankful.
  4. What about the Kavanaugh accusation? Don’t you think 36 years of outstanding moral reputation is enough to conclude he is trustworthy? I don’t believe he is guilty, but even if one were guilty, I thought we were a country of forgiveness and second chances. His life bears the evidence of a man who has already faced his sins and found forgiveness. Let’s leave that dubious politically timed move alone. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. Do you want to know what Judge Kavanaugh believes? Look at the life he has led for 36 years.

Pray for our country, pray for Jerusalem, and pray that some of our rain would go to Israel.

Trump Stands with Israel

John BoltonThis week the Trump Administration made two more decisive declarations, in a speech by US National Security Adviser John Bolton. He announced the closing of the Palestinian office in Washington, DC and also denounced the International Criminal Court (ICC). The PLO office was closed for calling for the ICC to charge Israelis with war crimes and for lack of cooperation with President Trump on his peace plan. The ICC was rejected officially because they threatened to charge our soldiers in Afghanistan with war crimes. The ICC has done the same with Israeli soldiers without charging Hamas terrorists who regularly attack civilians including women and children. Hamas is on our terrorist list and is well-known for using women and children as human shields. Yet, the ICC only charges Israel and the US.

John Bolton threatens war crimes court with sanctions in virulent attack – US national security adviser calls ICC illegitimate and says “we will let it die on its own.” “The United States will use any means necessary to protect our citizens and those of our allies from unjust prosecution by this illegitimate court,” Bolton said.

He said the Trump administration would “fight back” and impose sanctions – even seeking to criminally prosecute ICC officials – if the court formally proceeded with opening an investigation into alleged war crimes committed by US military and intelligence staff during the war in Afghanistan or pursued any investigation into Israel or other US allies.

“If the court comes after us, Israel, or other US allies we will not sit quietly,” he said, also threatening to impose the same sanctions on any country that aided the investigation.He condemned the inquiry into war crimes in Afghanistan as an “utterly unfounded, unjustifiable investigation” and the court as illegitimate. “We will let the ICC die on its own. After all, for all intents and purposes, the ICC is already dead,” Bolton said. The Guardian

Bolton: International Criminal Court Will Face Repercussions If Americans Prosecuted – “The United States will use any means necessary to protect our citizens and those of our allies from unjust prosecution by the illegitimate court,” Bolton said during a speech to the Federalist Society in Washington, D.C. He said the court is a threat to American sovereignty and national security, arguing that the court has very little accountability and that its definitions of crimes are “vague and subject to wide-ranging interpretation.”

Calling the proposed investigation of war crimes in Afghanistan “utterly unfounded,” Bolton said the Trump administration will ban the court’s judges and prosecutors from entering the US if they move ahead with any prosecutions of Americans. Bolton also warned that the administration would work to sanction the funds of ICC officials and that officials would be prosecuted in U.S. criminal courts. I praise God that the Trump Administration continues to stand with Israel. It is the singular most important reason that Yehovah is blessing our President. The plots against him will fail as long as he stays true to Israel. We must pray for him faithfully. There are many believers who believe that President Donald Trump is a modern fulfillment of the ancient Persian King Cyrus who helped the Jews rebuild Jerusalem.

This is what Yehovah says to Cyrus, his anointed one,
whose right hand he will empower.

Listen for the Trumpet Sounds

jesus_second_comingDid you hear the one about the long-awaited Messiah finally arriving in Jerusalem? The Mayor of Jerusalem goes out to meet him and welcomes him to Jerusalem. But the mayor says: “I just have one question. Is this your first or second visit?”

Jews believe he has not come yet. But Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah who came 2,000 years ago to become the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world to all who receive Him, especially the Jews. But both believe the Messiah is coming soon!

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Matthew 24:34-36

Which generation will not pass till all is fulfilled? If you study Matthew 24 and Luke 21 you will find the only time specific reference is the status of Jerusalem. Jesus prophesied its downfall: “It will be trodden down (ruled) by the gentiles.”

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:24

So, Jerusalem’s fall would last UNTIL. That is a timing word. We now know when the “until” happened. It was June 1967 that Israel regained sovereignty over Jerusalem from the gentiles. This restoration followed the scattering to all nations. This is all now in our rear view mirror. It’s history. Therefore we are the generation that will not pass away till the Messiah comes!

Jesus said exactly when He would come. Most Christians believe He was obscuring the timing with His answer. On the contrary, He actually specified the timing. The phrase “no man knows the day or hour” was almost a cliché’ in Jesus’ day. It was a common expression among the Jews of that day referring to the timing of the Fall Feasts of Yehovah. These were: Trumpets, Yom Kippur and Tabernacles. (For my teaching on the Feasts, please listen to my radio interview for ten minutes on each of the seven Feasts.)

The Fall feasts begin with Trumpets or Yom Teruah This year it is officially Sunday sundown to Tuesday sundown, September 9-10. This is an arbitrary fixed date set by Rabbinic Judaism. However, the Biblical commencing of  Yom Teruah or Trumpets, begins on the first sighting of the new moon in the seventh month from Jerusalem. (Using the Biblical method to figure it is a characteristic of Karaite (Bible believing) Jews. Here is a link to Nehemiah Gordon, a leading Karaite).

So what? Well, I believe Jesus was telling His disciples He would come during the Fall Feasts, specifically Trumpets.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52

There are five elements that make the actual day or hour unknowable.

  1. The confusion caused by the arbitrary Rabbinic calendar.
  2. The actual day of sighting the new moon could vary by weather conditions, cloud cover, etc.
  3. Even the hour could vary if the evening started cloudy early and cleared up later, for example.
  4. The “last trumpet” could refer to the last shofar during Yom Teruah (trumpets) beginning the Fall feast.
  5. Or, the “last trumpet” could even refer to the trumpet sounded at the end of Yom Kippur.

Therefore, even though the day or hour is unknown, I believe Jesus was speaking clearing to His disciples that He would come during the first ten days of the Fall Feasts, which then leads to Tabernacles where God will live with men and celebrate the great Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

May it be this year, Yeshua ben Yehovah – Jesus Son of God – Yeshua haMashiach – Jesus the Messiah!

Yehovah has appeared of old to me, saying: ​​“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; ​​Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. ​​Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt, ​​O virgin of Israel! ​​You shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice. ​​You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food. ​​For there shall be a day when the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim, ​‘​Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to Yehovah our God.’ ” Jeremiah 31:3-6

Fake Refugees

What do you call four generations of perpetual refugee status? They are called: Palestinians. After seventy years, an actual number of five to seven hundred thousand Arabs displaced by the Israeli War of Independence has ballooned to from five to seven million! This is ten times as many “refugees” as actually fled in 1948. Also, some estimate that only 20,000 of the original ones are still alive. Yet, they demand that Israel accept millions into Israel in a so-called “right of return”. This while also demanding that the new Palestinian state will allow zero Jews in any capacity whatsoever to live in their state.

Plus, an equal number or more Jews were driven out of Arab countries at the same time. Yet, Israel joyfully accepted them as full citizens and they have completely integrated into Israeli society.  Arab countries do not grant Palestinians citizenship and normal rights because they serve a political purpose as continual victims on the world stage. What is wrong with this picture? They are fake refugees.

After seventy years a U.S. President finally has the courage to call for an end to the travesty. President Trump calls them fake refugees. The UN has a refugee agency for the rest of the world that routinely resettles refugees in a few months or a year or so. The UN agency for Palestinians is called UNRWA and has perpetuated them in refugee status.

The President made three momentous decisions that have literally changed the face of the peace process.

  1. Recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and moved our Embassy there.
  2. Cancelled $200 million in aid from the Palestinian authority. (Taylor Force Act)
  3. Stopped our $300 million annual contribution to UNRWA.

Some are reporting that President Trump will spell out his peace plan at his UN speech this month. We need to pray fervently that he will follow the voice of Yehovah, who is the ultimate defender of Israel and the #1 Zionist.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2

OCCUPIERS!

Israel is accused and accursed every day by Muslims and many nations for being occupiers. Yet, isn’t this exactly what God commanded them to do? Therefore the condemnation is not of Israel, but is really condemning God.

“For you will cross over the Jordan and go in to possess the land which Yehovah your God is giving you, and you will possess it and dwell in it.” Deuteronomy 11:31

Another valid translation of “possess” is “occupy”. Israel is not evil for occupying the Land, they are obedient to the will of Yehovah. This reminds me of Psalm 83 which we reference often as the Psalm 83 War. It is a powerful prayer request to God for victory over Israel’s enemies. The premise of their request is that Israel is under attack primarily because they identify with God.

Do not keep silent, O God! ​​Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! ​​For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. ​​They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. ​​They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” ​​For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You: Psalm 83:1-5

This is a completely valid basis for appealing for God’s help. As you know, the next verses list the surrounding nations. Then the method of victory is described in the last section of the Psalm: “Deal with them as with Midian,” which refers to Gideon’s story where God turned the Midianites to fight against one another resulting in the deaths of 120,000 soldiers without Gideon’s 300 killing one. Later, Gideon caught and killed the last 15,000 who had fled with their kings. See: Judges 8:10

Of course, my point is that we in 2018 are in the same scenario. Israel is surrounded by enemies (the same ones) who want to kill Israel because they really hate Yehovah. It is a religious war and always has been. Again the Psalm 83 prayer applies. Only God can deliver His people once again. Pray Psalm 83 often and passionately.

And don’t be thrown off by the accusation: OCCUPIERS! That is exactly what Israel must do in all of the Land that Yehovah God has promised.

What Makes God Happy?

Dry Bones 70Do you know that Yehovah rejoices over you with joy? Do you know that God sings? His love for His people brings Him such joy that He breaks out into songs of joy over us.

Yehovah thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

The Hebrew word, ‘rejoice,’  means to “spin around under violent emotion.” The phrase “rejoice over you” literally means to “dance, skip, leap, and spin in joy.” So, the latter part of this verse is more accurately translated, “He will dance over you with singing.” Does God dance?

My friend John Kelly sent me the background to the classic Jewish song of rejoicing, Hava Nagila. There is nothing greater than joining with our Creator in joyful music together. That is why Jewish people dance and sing with such energy. The full article is here, but have you every heard the translation of Hava Nagila?

God promised, that after severe judgement, He would bring them back from “all countries” to the land of Israel. Especially notice the emphasis at the end of this great promise of Yehovah God to Israel. He says He will rejoice in doing good to them… with all His heart and soul. Think of the emotional involvement of God as He restores His beloved people. Yehovah is singing a lot these days. God is faithful!

“Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. I will rejoice in doing good to them, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all My heart and all My soul.”  Jeremiah 32:37-41

Israel Tour – June 2019

Apologies to any who drew the conclusion that Doreen and I are moving to Israel, from my last blog: Moving to Israel – Aliyah. We are not, although we would love to be there much more. It was a two-minute heartwarming video about American Jews moving to Israel permanently.

However, Doreen and I are indeed taking a small tour group next summer (June 18-27). We are limiting the group to about 25 so we can maintain an intimate experience. We already have solid commitments, but it will be first-come first-served based on the initial deposit of $300.00 per person. The total will be $3599.00 in installments starting in late Fall.

We have been many times, and in the 10 day trip we will see all of our favorite Biblical sites and also experience modern Israeli life. One of our favorites is a beautiful ride on a “Jesus boat” on the Sea of Galilee. Another favorite is an opportunity to get our hands dirty for one Jerusalem morning at the City of David sifting site. You will get to sift through material from the second Temple period around the time of Jesus.

Moving to Israel – Aliyah!

What does it mean to Jewish American to immigrate to Israel. The Hebrew term is “aliyah” which means ascent or going up. In Biblical history Israelis went up to Jerusalem three times a year for the appointed times to meet with Yehovah. No matter where you lived in the country, you had to go up to Jerusalem because it is on a mountain ridge. Today the term is applied to those immigrating to the Glorious Land. Here is just a brief glimpse of the joy of those recently arriving. (Thanks to Israel Today.)

Flags Matter

Israel recently passed a law stating the obvious. Israel is a Jewish state. Yet, there is quite an uproar from some Arabs and leftist Israeli’s. The irony is that during a protest over the weekend in Tel Aviv, there were many Palestinian flags and even a popular Arab song encouraging Arabs to attack Israelis. This rally was held freely, in the open, which in itself confirms the liberty of the Israeli democracy. This despite this recent poll:

Poll: Most Palestinians Oppose Continued Military Operations Against Israel –  58% of Palestinians in Gaza and 51% in the West Bank oppose the continuation of military operations against Israeli targets, while 34% in Gaza and 32% in the West Bank support them, according to a poll conducted by the Jerusalem Media and Communication Center between June 26 and July 7 and released on Tuesday. 71% said they would not mind working in Israel or in an Israeli settlement. When asked which political faction they trust the most, 25% said Fatah, 13% said Hamas, and 49% said they didn’t trust anyone. (Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs)

One more item of real importance is the background of the Palestinian flag. It has nothing to do with the Holy Land and everything to do with Islam. “This flag does not symbolize anything that is specific to the land of Palestine, but rather the history of the Arabs and Islam: the Umayyad caliphate – white; the Hashemites – red; the Abbasid caliphate and Mohammed – black; and Islam – green.  (The Hamas and Saudi flags are predominantly green, representing Islam.)”  (Flag History for more about Islam’s flags.)

What about the similarity of the “resistance” movements in both Israel and the U.S.? The bottom line is that Yehovah God is in charge and His Son, the Messiah is coming soon. We have read the end of the book and we win! Thank you Yeshua ben Yehovah, Jesus the Son of God.

“Yehovah loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.” Psalm 37:28

God Will Bless the U.S. x3

Some things are so obvious, so simple, that most people can’t see it right in front of their eyes. Here are three foundational reasons that Yehovah God will bless America. Many naysayers see terrible judgement coming for the United States. They are wrong. We have been talking about sheep and goat nations and we are choosing the righteous path of a sheep nation. I know we are not righteous, but we are on the right path. Here’s why.

  • Cast your bread – God is faithful to reward the sending forth of the Gospel to the four corners of the earth from this nation. There has never been a country or a people who have sent “the bread of life” out to nations (the waters) as the U.S. has. It is impossible to calculate the money, the missionaries, the equipment, the medicine and doctors that have been cast on the waters. They have sown the love of Yehovah even at the cost of their lives.

Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Ecclesiastes 11:1

  • Yet 7,000 – We underestimate the power of God in the remnant of believers who have stayed faithful to Yeshua even in the overwhelming evil darkness around us. Yehovah is never concerned about numbers, but faithfulness to Him. If you have one room filled with darkness and the next with just one candle, what happens when you open the door between the rooms? Does the darkness flood in and block out the candle? No, just the opposite, the light floods the room that was dark. It only takes one person of light to challenge the darkness. Yehovah will always use those who are true to Him, and He knows who they are.

“Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:18

  • Trump/Israel – The third reason that God will bless the United States is for our standing with Israel. We have a strong leader as President who is determined to help support, defend, and bless the nation and the people and the holy land of Israel.

    “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

“Certainly Yehovah does not forsake his people; he does not abandon the nation that belongs to him. Psalm 94: 14-15 NET

Pope Rejects Capital Punishment

Pope Francis 2This is real news. It’s official. The Roman Catholic Church by Pope Francis this week formally declared the death penalty “inadmissible.” What is wrong with that?

Pope Francis officially updated Catholic teaching, calling the death penalty “inadmissible” – The Catholic Catechism will argue that “dignity of the person” prohibits capital punishment.

Pope Francis Says No to Centuries of Church Teaching – His announcement that the death penalty is now ‘inadmissible’ has no basis in Scripture or the Church Fathers.

The pope’s death penalty announcement reminds us what is pure and holy – And since the goodness in us — the humanity — is worth preserving, we ought not inflict death as a punishment

So, again, what is wrong with that? Let’s consider just three contradictions to the Pope’s declaration.

Scripture teaches capital punishment. Pope Francis rejecting the death penalty contradicts the Bible. He is wrong.

Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man. ​​“Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God ​​He made man. Genesis 9:5-6

 

All humans are unrighteous. The Pope presupposes that humans are basically good and “dignified.” He is wrong.

As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:10, 23   In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 1 John 3:10

No man is above Scripture. Roman Catholic doctrine places the Pope above the Bible. That is wrong.

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:16-21

As soon as we put man over God we lose. All reasoning is circular. If you start with man, you will end with man. If you start with God, you will end with God.

“And if it seems evil to you to serve Yehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve Yehovah.” Joshua 24:15

Democratic Peace?

Some would like to believe that democracy will win the world and the nations will dwell in peace. In the 1989 student demonstration in China, a model of the Statue of Liberty was raised in Tiananmen Square and they called it the goddess of democracy and  “the goddess of liberty.” You can be sure that the God of the Bible will have no other gods before Him including this goddess! No, democracy will not save humanity. American democracy has worked mainly because the founding fathers believed the Bible and structured our government with the presupposition of original sin. They devised a system of checks and balances with three branches of government which has made it much more difficult for a despot to gain control. However, in the time of an economic collapse, people could be so desperate that they would welcome a powerful leader who would promise prosperity in return for total authority. Is this scenario going to happen in America? Is it just a nightmare? I hope so. Will it ever happen? I hope not, but my faith is not in any human government, but in the God of heaven who has everything under control.

We do not know all that will unfold in the months and years ahead, but I strongly believe Israel is a key player in whatever is to come. On December 6, 2017 President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and began to move our embassy there. That historic pronouncement ranks right up there with the Balfour Declaration. Yehovah God will bless the US because of it, but the world is united against us. It is a monumental prophetic turning point of history training the world’s focus on Jerusalem. Make no mistake, Jerusalem is the issue. Jerusalem is not the target, it is the prize.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all the nations of the earth are gathered against it. Zechariah 12:2-3

Here also is the promise of Israel’s salvation in verse 10:

And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication: then they will look on Me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. Zechariah 12:10

This mention of “Me whom they have pierced” dates this prophecy to the future time between the time of Zechariah and sometime after the death of Jesus. The prophecy continues:

In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. It shall be in that day, says Yehovah of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered, I will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to depart from the land. Zechariah 13:1-2

What a glorious time of repentance and forgiveness waits for God’s covenant nation. There is no doubt that Israel fell, but there is equally no doubt in the Scriptures of her restoration and salvation in the end. (Today’s blog is an excerpt from my new Kindle book, Speak to the Dirt!)

Brain Floaters

Have you every had eye floaters? You know, the little black dots that sort of drift through the periphery of you field of vision. You seem to get used to them and are somehow able to function while ignoring them. This week I realized that we also have brain floaters, those thoughts that intrude on the thinking process when you are trying to focus on important ideas. They just fly in and out, sort of on the periphery just like eye floaters.

Did I pay that bill? Why didn’t he call back? Where are my keys? Is there still a bit of ice cream in the fridge? Is it already time for another haircut. Who won the game last night?

Now you are probably thinking that I have lost it, but there is a real point here. Especially with the introduction of smart phones, our ability to focus is seriously threatened. We have never had more information at our fingertips, yet we find it more and more difficult to focus on the truly important issues. Our attention span is about five seconds, tops.

Our culture is in a major “dumbing down” mode. More dangerous than the rise of the information age is the explosion of entertainment, sports, “me time” and a zillion other distractions. Why is this a problem? Who cares? The next time someone tells you about a good movie or good anything, ask them: “Do you mean good in the sense of Godly?”

Maybe we should have loftier goals in life. Let me answer with a few directives (of many) from the Bible. You know, that old book that used to be in schools, motels, people’s homes, and yes, even in churches! Can you imagine that? I am not joking. Major denominations abandoned the Bible long ago as the actual foundation of character, behavior and believing faith. I joke about living in the Bible Belt, like you have a little holster with a Bible in it, but you don’t actually use it!

So here are just a few verses:

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. Ecclesiastes 9:10

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 (perfect peace in Hebrew is shalom, shalom)

Commit your works to Yehovah, and your thoughts will be established. Proverbs 16:3

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrew 12:1-2

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8

We need to focus on what God is thinking: like Israel, salvation, His Kingdom, and His heart; to name a few. That’s why I end my blogs this way: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

Yehovah God: #1 Zionist

Let’s start with the heart. God loves Israel and we are in a new day prophetically regarding Israel as a nation. Later I will explain more about the Holocaust, but three years after that horrific event, God turned a page of history from judging Israel to blessing, favoring and restoring Israel. Understanding why He did this is to understand His love for Zion. Most people, even Christians, don’t have a clue about Zion. It has been obscured and maligned. Yet, Zion is a key to grasping God’s choice of Israel.

A hundred years ago, the word Zion was a positive word sung in many of our hymns, like: “We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion; we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.” They named churches, schools, towns, and even a national park after Zion, but not so much anymore. The meaning of the word has been sullied and made into a curse word. Anti-Israel propaganda has changed the public perception of the word. No wonder, when it is now used like this: Dirty Zionist, Zionist pigs, Zionist apes, Zionist liars, Zionist occupiers, imperialist Zionists, and racist Zionists. Whew! With this avalanche of epithets, no wonder the average person is confused. Even within Israel there is confusion. In the 2015 election two liberal parties joined together with a new name: The Zionist Camp. The problem is that they were the party in favor of dividing the land and giving it to Palestinians.  A true Zionist knows the land cannot be divided. What a shame that they twisted the meaning of Zionist to gain votes. Fortunately, the Israeli people were not fooled and the real Zionists won in a landslide. We really need to know God’s definition.

Yehovah also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; ​​the heavens and earth will shake; ​​But Yehovah will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. ​​“So you shall know that I am Yehovah your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.” Joel 3:16-17a

Iran general cloud theft

Iranian general says Israel stealing Iran’s clouds – An Iranian general on Monday accused Israel of manipulating weather to prevent rain over the Islamic republic, alleging his country was facing cloud “theft,” before being contradicted by the nation’s weather chief. The head of Iran’s Civil Defense Organization claims Israel is ‘working to ensure clouds entering Iranian skies are unable to release rain,’ insisting this was confirmed by an Iranian scientific study; but head of Iran’s meteorological service says ‘it is not possible for a country to steal clouds.’ Ynet News

It has been a busy week…thought it was a good weekend for a “you can’t make this stuff up” blog. This really is a true story, reported all over the world media. The good news is that it is further evidence that cracks in Iran’s terrorist state are getting wider.

As Protests Multiply, Is Iran On Verge Of Revolution? – Mideast: While the U.S. remains focused on immigration and a Supreme Court vacancy, Iran is in the middle of a major social convulsion that’s verging on a revolution. Last time this happened, President Obama ignored it. This time, the U.S. supports those in the streets. Investor’s Business Daily

Iran’s Persistent Protests – Iranians are protesting in the streets again, only a few months after the regime crushed nationwide demonstrations over the country’s sagging economy and widespread corruption. The periodic eruptions are a sign of discontent that may spread as the pressure from renewed U.S. sanctions increases. Wall Street Journal July 3, 2018

This follows the Biblical principle of Yehovah God causing the enemies of Israel to fight each other. You see this in Jehosophat’s victory and also in Gideon’s victory. This is the means of victory even in the Psalm 83 War where we are instructed to pray that God would deal with Israel’s enemies as He did with the Midianites in Gideon’s day.

Deal with them as with Midian, as with Sisera, as with Jabin at the Brook Kishon, who perished at En Dor, who became as refuse on the earth. ​​Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, “Let us take for ourselves the pastures of God for a possession.” Psalm 83:9-12

Hypocrisy in the News

So Sarah Sanders was asked to leave the Red Hen Restaurant because she works for President Trump. But leftists demand that a baker must make a cake for a wedding they don’t agree with for a gay couple. Double standard hypocrisy.

Another example from the southwest border – People are (almost literally) up in arms about children separated from their parents who have broken the law. This happens every day with citizens in America. If  a parent has a child with them while being arrested in the committing of a crime, they are separated. The child is taken to Child Protective Services. Double standard hypocrisy.

Now let’s get really serious. How many leftists are up in arms about the 60 million babies who are separated from their parents through abortion while still in their mother’s womb? Double standard hypocrisy.

If you watch one hour of news a week you probably know more examples. Logic, reason, discussion, and truth are out of fashion. Just demand your own way regardless of laws or civil order; or even despite not owning citizenship. Double standard hypocrisy.

Diverse weights are an abomination to Yehovah, and dishonest scales are not good. Proverbs 20:23

In transgressing and lying against Yehovah, and departing from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.  ​​Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. ​​So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Isaiah 59:13-15

We must wake up, stand up and speak up! If we don’t, who will? If not now, when? Are you willing to stand for truth even if you “make yourself a prey?” Now is the time.

Fascist or Anti-Fascist? The Question

The uncanny accuracy of Churchill’s “prophecy” is now unfolding in our American society. There is a violent anarchist movement today called Antifa. Do you know what that stands for? Anti-fascists. They enter peaceful protests and violence erupts by design. Anarchy is their philosophy and violence is their method.

Fascism has a wide variety of definitions, but let’s focus on one common trait… violence to impose the will of the state against the freedom of individuals. When conformity is not obtained by reason, it is imposed through violence. The only official definition of fascism is from WWII Italian dictator Benito Mussolini:

1.”Everything in the state”. The Government is supreme and the country is all-encompassing, and all within it must conform to the ruling body, often a dictator. 
2.”Nothing outside the state”. The country must grow and the implied goal of any fascist nation is to rule the world, and have every human submit to the government. 
3.”Nothing against the state“. Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong. If you do not agree with the government, you cannot be allowed to live and taint the minds of the rest of the good citizens. 

The United States Constitution stands as a beacon for individual rights and a standard for the world to emulate. Yet, today these liberties are under attack both on university campuses where conservatives are shouted down, and in the streets where peaceful protests more and more end in violence.

Suppression of dissenting viewpoints is spreading in our culture from town councils to social media censorship and blacklisting. This is the opposite of our founding documents which are based on our Judeo/Christian roots, ultimately derived from the Bible. This is the philosophy of leftists that dominate our pop culture. A clear example of their error is  their insistence on open borders, which is anti-Biblical:

And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings. Acts 17:26

Globally, this is also evident in the Sharia system of total control of the individual by the state/religion. I have often stated that communism would have conquered the world but for one flaw: godless atheism. There was never that religious fervor unto death that characterizes radical Islam. Even many Muslims reject the radicalism, but it is in the DNA of Islam’s total control. Islam means submission, but not the way the Bible teaches. Biblical submission is voluntary; but Islamic submission is imposed, even by the sword: Submit or die! Bible believers choose life and then live in freedom.

We rejoice that millions of former Muslims have found that Jesus is the Son of God. There is a cosmic spiritual battle for the souls of men. One side brings liberation and freedom, the other slavery and bondage. In the end, it is not about the philosophy, but in a relationship with the loving God Yehovah who is a Father, through the intentional sacrifice of His own Son as the payment for our sin. His voluntary sinless death as the Lamb of God purchased our salvation for this life and for eternity.

So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:42-45 NLT

Damascus on the Bubble

Events this weekend again raise the question of when will the Isaiah 17 prediction be fulfilled? Damascus has been the capital city of various nations continuously for over 5,000 years. And it has never been destroyed. Jerusalem has been destroyed at least eleven times in history, but Damascus not once. Yet here is the word of God clearly foretelling the complete end of Damascus as an inhabited city.

The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.Isaiah 17:1

Pro-Assad troops take over Golan UN post in demilitarized area on Israeli border – IDF hints it may act to remove soldiers by force, noting the new position marks a violation of the post-1973 separation of forces agreement. Forces loyal to the regime of Syrian strongman Bashar Assad took control of an abandoned UN post in the no-man’s land between the Israeli and Syrian areas of the Golan Heights, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reported on Sunday.

Report: Israeli missiles fall near Damascus airport – Syrian TV reports two Israeli missiles fell in the vicinity of the Damascus international airport. The head of monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, told AFP that “the Israeli missiles hit arms depots for Hezbollah near the airport.”

Each time there is an escalation between Israel and Syria it increases the inevitable fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1. Syria taking over the abandoned UN station in the buffer area moves them closer to the Israeli border. This will not be allowed to stand by Israel.

As the tensions rise and fall on the border we should pray for protection for the IDF troops, but especially for the civilians on both sides of the border. Most are Druse on both sides who are caught in the crossfire. The Syrian army is making major moves into the triangle borders with Israel and Jordan. Pray for wisdom for all the leaders. One thing is for sure. God’s purpose will be accomplished because His word never fails.

Who is Fair?

Fairness

Here is a little something to ponder as you unplug from work this weekend.

While raising our three daughters, the question of fairness came up occasionally. Children can be quick to conclude they are being treated unfairly, usually because they don’t get their way. But fairness is not so much a question of what, but of who.

When a parent defends his judgement “…because I say so!” it can fall short, because we are imperfect and can be wrong. However when God defines fairness, He is 100% right, since it issues out from His perfect character of righteousness and truth. If you have an argument with God, the solution is simple; admit that you are wrong and He is right. Turn from you wrong-doing and line up with His will. “Turn (repent) and Live!” is His advice.

“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!” Ezekiel 18:25-32

God has no pleasure in death. Many will die in sin, but it grieves the Father God. He has given us the choice to turn to Him or refuse. He does not force us to repent. That is on us. He provided the way out for us by sacrificing His Son, the Messiah Yeshua to die for us and thus satisfy Yehovah’s righteousness. Therefore turn and live!

Fruitful Idaho Ministry

Challis, IdHere is a quick update of our Idaho ministry so far. I have spoken in eight different meetings, seven in Sandpoint and one in Challis. There is an amazing hunger for Israel news. I am finding that in spite of anti-Israel propaganda on media, folks are hearing the voice of Yehovah calling out to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

We met a precious body of believers in Challis, Idaho which is in the central mountains about an eight hour drive from Sandpoint in northern Idaho. You go through Missoula, Montana to get there, which is halfway. The leader of Living Waters Ranch (2700 acres) is Christopher James whom I know from years ago in Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Florida. We had great fellowship with Christopher and Debbie. They raise cattle, fish, vegetables, and strawberries, as well as a beautiful gourmet quality restaurant. You should visit Tea Cup Cafe when you get to Challis.

My brother Ken and good friend Ross Hall and I had three wonderful days together on that trip. The Living Water Ranch vision is to prepare to accommodate over 40,000 refugees. Thank you for praying for our weeks here in the spectacular Pacific Northwest. I have two more engagements to preach at the Sandpoint Assembly of God on Wednesday night and Cocolalla Cowboy Church next Sunday.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. ​​Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. ​​There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.  Psalm 19:1-3

“War Between the Cross and Crescent”

Germany: Keep ‘Door Open’ to Turkey Joining EU

Turkey’s President Erdogan raised the spectre of “war between the cross and crescent” over a dispute in Austria. This reveals a growing boldness by Erdogan to express his radical Sharia brand of Islamic ideology. Pray that Western nations will wake up.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attacked Austria’s impending closure of mosques and consequent expulsion of Turkish-funded imams, saying the move is anti-Islamic while promising a response. “These measures taken by the Austrian prime minister are, I fear, leading the world towards a war between the cross and the crescent,” Erdogan said in a speech in Istanbul covered by AFP.

Austria’s populist government made the announcement on Friday morning at a press conference as part of the governing coalition’s campaign against radical Islamic ideology and the influence of countries like Turkey in the Austrian Islamic community, Kronen Zeitung reports.

Media reports that between 40 and 60 imams, including their families, could be expelled in total. The imams all stand accused of receiving funding from abroad. Official investigations have been launched in 11 cases. Why is this important? Historians remember the critical significance of Vienna, Austria in the earliest attempts of Islam to conquer Europe.

The Siege of Vienna in 1529 was the first attempt by the Ottoman Empire, led by Suleiman the Magnificent, to capture the city of Vienna, Austria. The siege signaled the pinnacle of the Ottoman Empire’s power and the maximum extent of Ottoman expansion in central Europe. The inability of the Ottomans to capture Vienna in 1529 turned the tide against almost a century of conquest throughout eastern and central Europe. It is not coincidental that Erdogan would raise his threat in the present crisis. The world is focused on Singapore and the Trump/Kim summit, but do not miss the intent of Turkey and Erdogan to resurrect the Ottoman Empire. Pray for Europe!

The Ottoman Islamists devastated the Middle East for over 400 years until the British defeated them a hundred years ago. You may know that they taxed every tree in the Holy Land which caused the denuding of the forests. It turned the glorious land into a desert. Only now is Israel replanting at the rate of over three million trees a year, 250 million trees since 1901.

We continue to pray for rain to water all these new trees throughout Israel, but especially in the Negev desert area which use to be forested. The forest is mentioned in a prophetic judgement:

Son of man, set your face toward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the forest land, the South (or Negev). Ezekiel 20:46

The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; ​​It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing. ​​The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. ​​They shall see the glory of Yehovah, the excellency of our God. Isaiah 35:1-2

Idyllic Idaho

Sandpoint IdahoMany who travel to speak around the country tend to tire of the travel schedules, flights, and logistics. I am not one of those. I love it, and consider it a wonderful, privileged honor. Maybe it has a little to do with the primary areas of my travel: Israel, Florida, New England, and Northern Idaho. (Big Smile)

This month is special because Doreen gets to come with me to the glorious Pacific Northwest town of Sandpoint, Idaho. We get to stay with my brother Ken Lawrence and his wife, Mavis. We will be sharing in five churches including multiple meetings, plus smaller groups of pastors, business leaders, and prayer groups for a total of ten meetings if my count is right. We are still waiting to hear from a church in Libby, Montana.

June 10 – Sandpoint Christian Center 10 am

June 15-17 – Sandpoint River of Life 7 pm and 10:30 am

We would much appreciate the prayers of you who cannot join us. If you live in Idaho we would hope to see you at some of the meetings. My heart is full of the great prophetic blessing of God’s restoration of Israel and especially Jerusalem. There is a trickle down effect on our nation as we officially bless Israel. God is moving in our churches, schools, culture, and particularly government.

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

We each have a voice given by Yehovah God to lift up His name and His Son’s name Jesus to a fallen and hurting world. When I say we have a voice, I am not referring to the physical, but to the authority that has been granted to every believer to speak into this society. It is time to wake up, stand up, and speak up for righteousness. We must not submit to the false separation of “church and state”. God is in the government, education, schools, and every corner of our culture. Please pray for Doreen and I this month and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Netanyahu to Iranian People

This minute and a half video says it all. Israel’s quarrel with Iran has nothing to do with the people, only the radical religious leaders. The Ayatollah regularly calls for the complete genocide of Israel and the Jews.

Prime Minister Netanyahu touches the perfect tone in this amazing video. We need to pray for the liberation of the people of Iran so they can resume to historic good relationship with Israel.

Within the Iranian backed Gaza terrorists, the call is likewise the genocide of the Jews. Even today, the call is out for more violence against Israeli citizens to commemorate the defeat of the Arabs in the Six Day War. There seems to be no end to the “Days of Rage” for one date or another. In fact, they also have rage on no particular occasion at all, just to give vent to their demonic hatred of the Jews.

In only the last two weeks, over 180 rockets were fired from Gaza at Israeli citizens with the intent to murder. That is 180 attempted murders. Just because they failed does not absolve them of the crime.

How amazing that Yehovah God keeps watching over Israel and protecting them from the satanic intentions of the terrorists. Thank you, Jesus.

​“And it shall come to pass that just as you were a curse among the nations, ​​O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. ​​Do not fear, let your hands be strong.” For thus says Yehovah of hosts: “‘​Just as I determined to punish you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,” ​​Says Yehovah of hosts, “​And I would not relent, ​​so again in these days ​​I am determined to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. ​​Do not fear.” Zechariah 8:13-15

Prayer Bullseye

BullseyeHere is your intercession target for the next few days. There is a possible prophetic connection to the date of June 6, 2018. The Bible rarely uses dates down to the month and day, but this date has a prominent mention in the Torah, specifically Esther 8:9. What is the connection to this week?

So the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day; and it was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded, to the Jews, the satraps, the governors, and the princes of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, one hundred and twenty-seven provinces in all, to every province in its own script, to every people in their own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language.Esther 8:9

That reckoning is according to the Jewish calendar which used today indicates June 6 this year. Now, the story of the exposure of Haman’s evil plot for genocide of the Jews the entire Persian Empire, is clear in the Book of Esther. We are talking about the date of the proclamation that would lead to the deliverance of the Jews in their day. The subsequent victory was achieved on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, some eight and a half months later. (See verse 12)

America and to some degree Israel, are both embroiled in rather unprecedented attempts to attack, delegitimize, and overthrow the elected administrations. I have been writing about this for months here and here.

My prayer is that the lies and secret plots will be exposed. June 6 could be a pivotal date for this turnaround. Since I started interceding, it was announced that the Inspector General’s report on the Clinton FBI investigation could be released June 6. Therefore, I call for all who bear witness by the Holy Spirit in your own heart to join me this week in sober prophetic intercession. Who knows, perhaps we have been called, as Esther, for this very hour?

A final thought: The victory of Mordecai and Esther’s Jews was assured by the king’s degree that they were allowed to defend themselves. After many months of merciless accusations from “anonymous sources,” repeated ad nauseam by the feckless media, I pray that our nation’s leaders will be allowed to defend themselves in the court of truth. Yehovah God is the King and only His truth will stand the test. Selah.

The Jews had light and gladness, joy and honor. And in every province and city, wherever the king’s command and decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a holiday. Then many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them. Esther 8:16-17

Pray for President Trump and for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for rain. (It is raining this weekend again in Israel.)

100 Rockets from Gaza Today

There is no sign of  a slowdown of projectiles fired from Gaza into Israel today. Israel hit back, hitting 40 Hamas targets after the first 35 rockets and then 25 more targets after a second 35 rockets this evening. (Now, over 100.) “No Sign of Ceasefire…:  Israel Today Live blog

At US behest UN Security Council to hold urgent meeting on Gaza barrages: Nations to convene Wednesday; Haley says council should be ‘outraged’ over rocket, mortar fire at Israeli civilians and ‘Palestinian leadership needs to be held accountable’. “The recent attacks out of Gaza are the largest we have seen since 2014,” US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said in a statement.

Earlier, Hamas and the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad released a joint statement claiming responsibility for the dozens of rockets and mortar shells fired at southern Israel throughout the day. Israel holds Hamas responsible for all violence emanating from the coastal enclave, as it has ruled Gaza since 2007.

As near as I can tell from early reports, there are two Israeli civilians and three soldiers with non life threatening injuries so far. One rocket fell near a kindergarten before school. There are no Israelis living in Gaza since 2007 and no troops stationed there. Yet, the duped world press shouts: “Occupation!”

Top minister warns Israel on cusp of war with Gaza: Israel Katz says neither side wants war but ‘we have a red line’; Steinitz: Israel could be forced to conquer Strip if rocket attacks continue. Israel is the closest its been to war in Gaza since the 2014 war with Hamas, Intelligence Minister Israel Katz told Army Radio Tuesday evening, following a day of intense rocket and mortar fire from the Strip and retaliatory Israeli strikes.

This calls for some serious prayerful intercession. Please join with us in prayer for peace in Israel. Most of the world stands opposed to Israel, but Yehovah God is watching over her and will protect Israel. He turned the page in 1948 after 1900 years of judgement. He is now restoring favor and blessing and prosperity to Israel. Through many wars and rumors of wars He is faithful, and Israel only grows stronger.

My help comes from Yehovah, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Yehovah himself watches over you! Yehovah stands beside you as your protective shade. Psalm 121:2-5 NLT

VP Pence: “Share the Gospel!”

In a last-second surprise appearance before a pastors conference in Washington DC, Vice President Mike Pence outlined how the Trump administration has championed causes important to the evangelical community and implored them to continue to, “share the good news of Jesus Christ.”

“Other than the service of those who wear the uniform of the United States especially our cherished fallen, the ministries that you lead and the prayers that you pray are the greatest consequence in the life of the nation,” the vice-president told those attending the 2018 Watchman on the Wall conference sponsored by the Family Research Council.

“Keep preaching the good news. Keep preaching in season and out of season as the Bible says. Always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that you have,” he continued. At one point, Pence shared his Christian testimony, a life-changing moment that came at a Christian music conference in Wilmore, Kentucky back in 1978 at the end of his freshman year in college.

“Forty years ago this spring, I literally walked down and gave my life to Jesus Christ and so I just want you to continue to share the gospel, share that life-changing message,” he shared.

As we continue to pray for God’s wisdom and favor on President Trump, we need to also thank our Heavenly Father for the clear and unapologetic faith of our Vice President. Hallelujah! He also stands shoulder to shoulder with the President on Israel.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain. Israel still had some showers this weekend. Thank you Lord.
