The Golan Heights in Israel will soon  have a new town named after President Trump.(This Sunday, June 16, 2019)

A new community planned for the Golan Heights in honor of US President Donald Trump will be named Ramat Trump, literally translatable as “Trump Heights,” and will be approved at the next cabinet meeting on Sunday.

The cabinet secretary on Thursday sent to ministers details of the cabinet resolution for approving Ramat Trump, stating that the community will be located close to the existing village of Kela Alon and will be under the jurisdiction of the Golan Regional Council. Times of Israel

This is after the decision to name the new train station in the Old City: Donald J Trump Station. The U.S. President has made several momentous decisions that bless Israel. Here is a partial list:

  1. Stopped the Iran deal.
  2. Moved our Embassy to Jerusalem.
  3. Defunded Palestinian Authority because they pay salaries to terrorists (pay to slay).
  4. Defunded UNRWA, the UN propaganda arm in Gaza.
  5. Recognized Israel’s control of the Golan Heights (annexed by Israel in 1981).
  6. Considering allowing Israel sovereignty in part of Judea & Samaria (West Bank).
  7. Close/positive relationship with PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

The current United States Administration is blessing Israel, the seed of Abraham.  Therefore, on the basis of Genesis 15, we can expect Yehovah God’s blessing on America as a matter of principle and the faithfulness of God’s promise.

I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 15:3

Two big stories from Israel today deserve your prayerful consideration.

  1. Reports: Israel Slated for Early Elections as Netanyahu Coalition Breaks Up – Netanyahu had met the education minister, Naftali Bennett, who wanted the defence ministry post in the right-wing government, but the meeting ended with a decision by cabinet members to hold national polls, which were previously due in November 2019.

  2. Trump Admin Moves Toward Recognizing Israeli Sovereignty Over Golan Heights – For the first time ever, the United States on Friday intended to vote against an annual UN resolution condemning Israel’s annexation of the Golan Heights. Ever since Israel seized control of the strategic plateau on the 1967 Six Day War, the US has abstained when the resolution titled “The Occupied Syrian Golan” was brought to a vote. We rejoice that the US finally took a stand for the Golan in the UN. Pray that we will openly declare our acceptance of Israel’s 1980’s annexation of the Golan Heights. The Golan has been at peace since the 1967 Six Day War. However, every peace agreement leads to violence and war, whereas Israel’s wars end in peace. Remember this when Israel finally decides to re-enter Gaza and establish peace through Israeli control.

On the looming election in the Spring, pray that Yehovah God of Israel will strengthen Netanyahu to hear and do God’s will.

My help comes from Yehovah, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Yehovah himself watches over you! Yehovah stands beside you as your protective shade. Psalm 121:2-5

Save the Druse

Dry Bones DruseMy Israeli friend Yaakov Kirschen (Although we have never met, we think alike), has a great cartoon this week. The plight of the Druse is a true concern. Read on to hear his explanation and appeal.

The emergency is dire but to understand it you’ll have to examine the map.

We are proud to call Israel “the Jewish State”, but ever since our fight for independence we have had a covenant with our Israeli Druze brothers and sisters. They are as “Israeli” as Jews are. On the map I’ve shown the Israeli Golan Heights as blue. When we won control of the Golan from the Syrians we “inherited” these additional (non-Israeli) Syrian Druze. They still live there in peace with us.

Inside Syria I’ve labeled “Jabal Druze” as “the Trapped Druze”. About 750,000 Druze now live there. From 1921 to 1936 it was an independent Druze State (Jabal al-Druze). They are about to be attacked, raped, tortured, and slaughtered by ISIS, the Islamic State.

These trapped Druze need weapons to defend themselves. We are in a position to arm them.

Israel Attacks Hezbollah in Syria .

While America was watching football last Sunday, Israel hit two vehicles on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights in northern Israel. The implication could be grave for the Middle East. It could be the spark that detonates the Psalm 83 War. But there are four aspects to this event of particular interest.

1. First, Hezbollah claims they are not in the Golan Heights at all. Yet, one of their top commanders died, along with several members. You have heard little, if any, news of this attack on Western media because of football and the US President’s State of the Union speech calling for taxes on the rich to create more entitlement program giveaways.

2. Second, a very senior Iranian Revolutionary Guard General was also killed with several of his men. What were they doing on the Israeli border? Some reports suggest they were working on a missile launch site. A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside a strike on Hezbollah 

3. Third, “An Israeli security official said on Tuesday that an alleged Israeli helicopter missile strike on the Syrian side of the Golan earlier this week that killed a top Iranian general was aimed at what was believed to be a caravan of low-ranking Hezbollah fighters.” Why would Israel say that? They are trying to defuse the inevitable response from Hezbollah and Iran.

4. Fourth, the plot thickens: Amid Rising Tensions, IDF Closes Roads Along Lebanon Border : “Tanks join Iron Dome batteries along Israel’s northern border, following airstrike which killed senior Hezbollah, Iranian commanders.” The threat is so serious that the IDF has closed roads, sent Iron Dome (defensive missile) batteries along with IDF tanks. Time to PRAY!
