What is Useless Faith?

Both Passover and Christian Passion Week culminate in firstfruits. For Jews it is the beginning of the barley harvest. For Christians it the beginning of eternal life and the defeat of death’s power over believers. Yeshua, our Messiah, did not stay in the tomb. He was raised from the dead. He is alive! His resurrection was the absolute vanquishing of Satan’s final trump card. The phrase “useless faith” is self-contradictory, it is an oxymoron. It is no faith at all. There is no more critical foundation of our faith than resurrection from the dead and eternal life with Yehovah God through His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah. Anything less is totally useless faith. It is no faith at all. We don’t follow Jesus because He was a great teacher or did miracles. We serve Him because He paid the price for our sin with His own blood, death, and resurrection. We will live eternally because He lives!

The Resurrection of the Dead – But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. 1 Corinthians 15:12-20 NLT

Hallelujah! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem through Jesus, Prince of Peace: Yeshua Sar Shalom! And pray for rain to fill up the Sea of Galilee this month.

The Ultimate Antidote

THE HINGE OF HISTORY

As humanity battles “the invisible enemy” Coronavirus, a much more deadly disease threatens our eternal destiny. While there is no vaccine yet for the virus, Yehovah has provided the antidote for sin that seeks to block our eternal relationship with our loving Father God. His plan is revealed in the Passover and Resurrection Day. We celebrate both this week. (See: 2020 Passover at Home). Each has three parts revealing God’s purpose of redemption.

Passover’s three parts are unleavened bread, the passing over of the death angel, and firstfruits. Each point to the Lamb Messiah. He was unleavened by sin, He died in our place, and He rose from the dead. The Exodus account is a prophetic look ahead to the actual historic reality of Jesus two thousand years ago. How ironic that Passover 2020 mimics the conditions of the first Passover. They were given the “stay at home order” just as we are today. We too, must apply the blood to the doorposts, not only of our doors but on our hearts.

THE HINGE OF HISTORY – When Yeshua finally came there were also three key elements. I call His “Passion Week” the Hinge of History. Every hinge has three pieces. One piece attaches to the door and one to the doorpost. The third is the pin that connects the two. It is critical that we understand the cross broke the curse and delivered us from death through the shed blood of the Lamb. But redemption would have failed without the other two pieces.

Jesus was tempted to save His own life in the Gethsemane prayer. Three times He asked His Father for another way, yet each time ended with: “Not my will, but your will be done!” Without that prayerful surrender there would have been no cross.

Likewise, when He died, if He had not been raised, Satan would have won. Death would be victorious. But He did not stay in the grave. He lives! Death was defeated for all who embrace Him as the Messiah Lamb of God. (Please read all of 1 Corinthians 15)

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. 1 Corinthians 15:17 NLT

My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. 1 John 2:1-2 NLT

Jesus, the Son of God, or as said in Hebrew: Yeshua ben Yehovah is the antidote!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain to fill the Sea of Galilee.

Notice I do not use the name: Easter. That is the name of a pagan goddess, and should have no association whatsoever to the resurrection of Jesus. The season is called Passover and is rich with deep meaning that ultimately connects believing Jews and Christians as one new man through the Messiah.

God Will Make a Way!

“God will make a way where there seems to be no way!” Doreen and I remember one of our best family vacations was in the mid-eighties. We had a brand new car and took a wonderful road trip from Florida to New England with our three girls. It was notable for two things (in no particular order). My Mom sent along her famous peanut butter fudge, which we sampled each time we crossed a state line (love New England). The other was that every morning we started the day with our favorite song, God Will Make a Way. Watching Pastor Randy & Peggy Morris share that song this morning released tears of worship and thankfulness for God’s faithfulness. Every book I have written has that foundation. God is faithful. Yehovah is faithful.

We learned a new song with the same message while ministering in Kenya. Carol Achieng led the worship and Michael Masambu led the PDA Youth Conference (Purpose, Destiny, Achievement). Here are the lyrics:

“Who has the final say? Yehovah has the final say. Who has the final say? Yehovah has the final say. He turned my life around. He turned my life around. He makes a way where there seems no way. Yehovah has the final say!”

Doreen and I watched as our rental house burned down with all our possessions in 2001. The miraculous presence of the Holy Spirit ministered supernatural peace at that time. That gave rise to my paraphrase: “peace that doesn’t make sense.” Logically we had every right to “freak out” and fall apart. But no, God was faithful. He was right there with us through it. It was real. We still have that peace and never did fall apart, even though some thought we would after the shock wore off. But, rather we have experienced over and over and over that He is faithful. Hallelujah!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.2 Timothy 2:13

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

2020 Passover at Home

Exodus 12:3 describes the original Passover as being held in one house per family. Today it is usually a community event. But originally each family was quarantined in their own home, with blood on the doorposts, until the death angel passed over their family. Our 2020 Passover is more like the original one than ever.

I love the Dry Bones take on current events. Just click on the picture to go to his site. The Israeli cartoonist, Yaachov Kirschen, has a knack for taking the Pharisee religious spirit down a notch or two. In this cartoon he reveals the tension between the global virus threat and observing Passover religiously. The Passover table always has an empty cup for Elijah because of this verse:

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Yehovah. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:5-6

But what are we going to do about Passover? Is it okay to observe it later? Why can’t we do it at home? Both are options. Our local Messianic congregation, Shalom Peniel, has simply postponed their observance till May, “Lord willing”. The other option may be even better. How can you observe Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits at home? Let me share some ideas.

First, I suggest you anoint your doorposts with oil and pray for Yehovah’s protection and healing from the virus, through the blood of the Messiah Yeshua.

Second, rebuke fear and stand in faith. Firstfruits points to the resurrection. Since we have eternal life, we do not fear death. And if you eliminate the devil’s main threat of death, why would you fear anything?

Third, why not experiment with your own family Passover? Here is a link to a free download from a Messianic (believers in Yeshua as the Son of Yehovah) congregation in Israel. Yeshua’s Inheritance is a Messianic congregation in Beer Sheva, in southern Israel.

Remember that we worship in Spirit and Truth, not as a religious obligation. You get no points for doing this, it is about our personal relationship with Yehovah God, through His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah!

Israel Election SHOCK!

Breakthrough! Shock, bombshell, and earthquake are all words that describe the miracle turn of events ending the Israel political deadlock. The leader of the opposition, Benny Gantz, has agreed to join with Netanyahu in an emergency unity government because of the coronavirus. This is good news.

We have prayed for a more than a year against the spirit of Haman and for the rising of an Esther who would courageously declare: “If I perish, I perish.” This is what Gantz has done. His slogan has always been: “Israel, above all else.” By choosing to be a statesman and put country first, he has completely cut off his political future in the left wing. They are already turning on him like vultures, but Netanyahu lives on as Prime Minister. The agreement has Gantz sharing the PM role after Netanyahu serves the first 18 months.

I have always seen Avigdor Lieberman as a Haman. He is now relegated to irrelevance in the opposition. His political coup gambit has failed. In addition Yair Lapid, Gantz’ former partner in the Blue & White party, has been exposed also as a Haman. The road ahead may be rocky, but now Israel can have a fully operating government with PM Netanyahu for the next 18 months. Continue to pray for Yehovah’s blessing on His chosen people.

Defying ruthless, deadlocked politics, Gantz sacrifices everything for stability – With Lapid continuing to maneuver despite the national emergency, Gantz willingly gave up on his political career to ally with Netanyahu in hopes of helping his beleaguered nation.

To place ‘Israel before all else,’ Gantz threw away his insurance policy – Blue and White head no longer has centrist alliance to return to if unity talks with Netanyahu go south, and most of his former Knesset supporters have turned on him.

The Gantz must be crazy: 6 things to know for March 27 – Benny Gantz joins Netanyahu, eliciting indignant anger from his former boosters, and a whole lot of questions from everyone else.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 1:1-2

Notice that we are to pray not only for the leaders, but for all who are in authority. We pray for Netanyahu and for Gantz. We pray for Trump and Pelosi. God can do His work in the heart of anybody that the Holy Spirit chooses. Pray for ALL.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray and thank God for His rain. (Sea of Galilee levels reach 16 year high.)

Corona Virus HOPE

False prophecy, gain-sayers, and media hype all have something in common. It is like bloggers who try to generate clicks. There is an ulterior motive. They want followers, viewers, and readers for their own agendas. This is a particular problem with the present virus pandemic/panic. Today I offer a less apoplectic and less apocalyptic opinion. There is hope in the numbers. What if Trump is right and the W.H.O. is wrong?

It just may be that the terrible numbers in Italy and Europe do not apply to the U.S. Our model seems to hold the same promise as South Korea which has leveled off. Italy has ten times the deaths (to date) as we do, yet with only a small difference in positive cases. Consider this report from yesterday, March 23.

Israeli Expert: Trump Right, World Health Organization Wrong on Coronavirus Death Rate – In the final analysis, mortality rates for coronavirus originally cited by President Donald Trump are going to be proven more accurate than the higher numbers claimed by the World Health Organization, according to an Israeli expert in epidemic modeling.

I know we are all tired of the never ending coverage, but we need to favor hope over panic, faith over fear, and life over death. Of course Satan only came “to steal, kill & destroy;” but Jesus brings life. That is not only eternal life, but life now in the midst of the testing and trials of our earthly existence. Turn to God in these times. Don’t give in to the exaggerated predictions based on exponential formulas. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. Trust Him. Trust Yehovah God and His Holy Spirit. Jesus said:

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:9-10

NOW ABOUT THAT HOPE:

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 10:13-20

Will your anchor hold? Have faith to trust Him. Hold on to His shalom. And pray for the shalom of Jerusalem, along with prayer for rain in Israel. I am praying for a turning point by Passover and Firstfruits.

Invisible Enemy or Test?

President Trump calls this virus pandemic the “invisible enemy.” But is it? Or, is it a test? The virus is indeed invisible, but is there a spiritual component? The familiar message of Ephesians 6:10 NLT declares:

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

That text reminds us of spiritual warfare. Indeed, Satan is certainly out to kill us, and there are specific tactics for our response. If we are attacked by a demonic spirit, we bind and loose in Jesus’ name. Derek Prince used to say: “You can cast out a demon and you can crucify the flesh, but you can’t crucify a demon or cast out the flesh.” So, we first must diagnose the problem.

Is this virus an attack of the devil or is it a test of our flesh from God? Could it be both? How are you responding? If we are rebuking the devil and it doesn’t stop, maybe we should examine our own hearts. This quarantine is the perfect time for having our own little “listening meeting” with the Father. Recently I heard the Lord emphasize Revelation 3:10:

“Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.”

You may say “My God would never do that.” Well maybe you need to grasp how Yehovah works with His people through even bad circumstances. Here is a verse that may shake your world. It the one before that famous one that we are already hearing for this present virus crises.

At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NLT

According to this verse, God Himself may send terrible circumstances our way. It is not my place to argue whether or not God is doing it, but to focus on my response. It is not about accusing God of unrighteousness in the sending, it is about my wickedness that must stop. So how should we behave in quarantine? Is it time to seek our Heavenly Father? Humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and repent; then He will hear, forgive, and restore!

Hallelujah! He is faithful. Call on Him first. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

Tips on Reading EV Commentary

While you have extra time at home during the virus crises, I thought you might appreciate some info and tips about my blog.

The title is Elisha Vision – Commentary. That is because I am offering my take on current events in Israel and the world from a Biblical perspective. It is clear that God wants His people to be up to date with the world around us, and not bury our heads in the sand. Here is the verse that undergirds this site.

From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take. I Chronicles 12:32 NLT

We need to be “sons and daughters of Issachar.” We must not be ignorant of the times. Yehovah God is speaking and moving actively in these perilous times. What should Israel do? What should we do? Jesus expects us to be watching for His return.

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone. Colossians 4:2-6 NLT

My goal is to “have the right response“ to the issues of the day, for my sake and for your use also, as we apply it in our lives.

Walking Through Walls of Fear

Jesus is with us!

Why does the Book of Acts record that the upper room was closed when Jesus entered? You may have heard me talk about this before, but now is the time to share encouragement in the face of fear caused by the virus pandemic. First, consider this great promise:

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 3:10

My faith stands secure on Yehovah’s faithful word. There are certain times when God gives special protection to His true people. The first three plagues of the Exodus account fell on both the Egyptians and Israelites. However, starting with the fourth plague of flies, God made a difference between His people and the Egyptians. So Egypt was swarmed but not God’s people, even though Goshen was in the Nile delta, there were no flies!

“And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am Yehovah in the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.” Exodus 8:22-23

Don’t forget the glorious promises of Psalm 91, especially these verses:

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Psalm 91:5-6

So the Lord answered me when I asked Him why the doors were shut (twice) when He came to the upper room where the disciples were after the resurrection. (See John 20:19, 26.) He said: “I want you to know that you can walk through walls.” This has been priceless for me when speaking to various groups with all manner of doctrinal walls. I walk right through them and deliver the word God has sent me to deliver. Here’s the good news. This also applies to fear. We need not succumb. We can walk right through walls of fear that are placed in our path by demonic forces. Don’t accept fear.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

So please remember this when you hear all the hype, panic, and fear being dispensed continuously from the media. We can safely put our trust in Yehovah God and His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah. It is time to stand up for what we believe. Believe your beliefs and doubt your doubts.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for the rains to continue in Israel.

Israel Election Update

The good news is a landslide victory for Netanyahu’s right wind/nationalist block. The bad news is that they are three seats short of the 61 necessary to form a government. However, there is real hope that several will flip from the other side because everyone wants to avoid a fourth election.

Israel Election Results are Not as Close as They Appear

Netanyahu: Personal Victory, Political Uncertainty

Netanyahu’s personal victory proved that the people want him to continue as Prime Minister even though he is facing trial in two weeks on trumped up charges pushed by his political opponents. He completely denies any wrong doing and declares he will be vindicated. This is so much like the impeachment hoax against President Trump. It seems obvious to me that it is far beyond politics. It is spiritual war in the heavenlies.

Our prayers are required more than ever for Yehovah God’s will to be seen. He is the defender of the falsely accused. It is the time of Israel’s favor, not curse. America will share in the favor because we are blessing Israel through the Trump Administration. This is not politics as usual, it is spiritual.

As we enter the Purim season once again (sundown March 9), we renew our petitions to our Father God. “Bind the deceitful spirit of Haman in both countries, and expose his evil plots!”

The so-called “priestly blessing” is quite appropriate. God speaks directly to Moses as to how to bless Israel. The last verse explains the specific transaction intended by God. Speaking these specific words have the effect of placing God’s name, Yehovah, on His people as the means of blessing them! It is clear that His purpose was not accomplished with the generic word, “‘Lord,” but His name in itself conveys the blessing, protection, and favor.

And Yehovah spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them: “Yehovah bless you and keep you; Yehovah make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’ “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27

It is critical to use the actual name of Yehovah, rather than the generic term which could refer to any random god or human. Please check out my explanation below.

Bible Voting + Israel Virus Vaccine!

ISRAEL NEWS FLASH! Before my thoughts on voting, there is great news from Israel. Scientists have been working for four years on a vaccine for coronavirus in chickens that can be adapted for humans, and they are only weeks away. Praise the Lord! Pray for a total breakthrough. Israel continues to be a blessing for the nations.

The irony is that it was already attacked online before I used it. That’s good, because now I can refute the accusation that “the Bible verses were cherry-picked to confirm my own bias.”

About Bias: It is accepted truth that everyone is biased. The key is to know the bias of your source. My bias is not Republican or Democrat, but the Bible. I don’t start with my party and then “cherry-pick” verses. My Bible knowledge informs my choices. Therefore the above positions flow from the Bible and not vice versa. I could add a number of other issues, and I will this summer when the party platforms are released. For instance, “national borders” was God’s idea (Acts 17:26), not globalism.

What I asks is that you pray about your choices, but especially that you be sure to vote! There were 20 million evangelical Christians who did not vote last time! Imagine the results if we all voted this time. Please pray and vote!

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Cool Israeli Election Ad

This is he best Netanyahu Israeli election campaign ad yet! Only eight days until the third election in a year demands this change of pace ad. In Israel he is widely known by his nickname, Bibi, which is used in this video. Humor, positivity and truth always works best (with a nod to the Beatles). I am praying for a miraculous victory for a strong conservative and godly government for Israel.

Seriously, we need to pray for Israeli election coming just next week (Monday March 2). I favor Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu, but my prayer is for Yehovah God’s choice.

Israel’s Desert Forests

One reason I pray for rain in Israel is because of a promise that applies to Israel’s desert. The Bible says the desert will blossom like a rose.

For Yehovah will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of Yehovah;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:3

Israel’s Negev Desert is the only desert in the world that is shrinking. That is mostly because of Israel’s system of drip irrigation, as they take over more and more of the desert. However, the promise of God is that the desert itself will blossom.

What you may not know, is that the Negev Desert is full of all kinds of seeds. Did you know that it used to be a forest? In the Judgment of Israel spoken of in Ezekiel 20, God refers to the forests of the Negev.

“Son of man, set your face toward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the forest land, the South,” Ezekiel 20:46

The Hebrew word translated South in English is Negev. That is exactly the area that is now desert, but used to be forests! All God needs to do is add water!

Israel’s Future is Now

Land promise

Much remains of the promises to Israel, but much is now happening. Some Christians have been tainted by replacement theology, that the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. That is a grave error. The future promises to Israel are seen in the present. Just consider this one passage (of many):

“Therefore thus says the Lord Yehovah: ‘Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name— after they have borne their shame, and all their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid. When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am Yehovah their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord Yehovah.” Ezekiel 39:25-29

Look at what God will do for them AFTER He brings them back from among the nations. Notice that Yehovah uses both terms, Jacob and Israel. He clearly did not mean the church. We may call ourselves “spiritual Israel,” but not “spiritual Jacob.” He clearly means physical Israel that was scattered to the nations.

They will hallow Him, see Him as Holy, once again.
They will know Him as Yehovah.
They will realize He is the one who sent them into captivity.
They will also know that He is the one who brought them back.
He will leave none of them captive.
He will not hide His face from them anymore.
He will pour out His Spirit on them.

Hallelujah to the faithful God who keeps His covenants even to a thousand generations!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and thank Him for continuing snow and rain.

The Mule on the Go!

Michael MKM Today is a little something different. I am working on writing a biography of my dear friend, Michael Masambu of Kenya. After the great Kenya youth conference headed by him in December, he was physically exhausted. I was honored to speak there to 4,800 youth and was likewise spent. So, today I’m sharing his Facebook comment, posted shortly after the meetings.

Owing to my background – my difficult childhood, I am this person that thinks I must work for the next meal. I worked for the next meal at a very tender age. I worked for the next meal under harsh conditions. I worked for my notebook, for my pensil and for my pen 🖋. I could only move to the next level if I worked. I ate because I had worked. I bought a shirt because I worked for it. My parents didn’t provide much because dad was too old and mom was too poor and over burdened. I worked to pay for my High School and College. I worked as a carpenter. I made beds, I made chairs, I made all manner of furniture. I overworked! I hurt my chest.

I am a pathfinder. I am a ground breaker. This is what life has given me. Today I realize things changed the day He became my Dad. He doesn’t grow old. He is the same Yesterday today and forever. He budgets for His kids. I am His Kid. If His Kid, then all my needs are made! What I have today came from him. What I need tomorrow will come from Him. It is my duty to be found by Him. He is Elshadai! He is Yehovah Yireh! Learn to trust him. Being a mule on the go always is denying that He cares.Yet He truly cares! Rest. Wait upon him. Those who wait upon the Lord shall be Strengthened. Hallelujah. Free at last! Free at last! MKM

I thank God for Michael and his dear wife, Sarah. Let’s pray for them as they continue in the Father’s vineyard.

But those who wait on Yehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Palestinian Confusion

The Trump peace deal has exposed deep differences among Palestinian Arabs in Israel. My last post exposed the lie about “Palestinians.” The above cartoon from my friend Yaakov Kirschen points out the dilemma facing Arab Palestinians in the West Bank. The Bible calls this area Judea and Samaria. Here is more from a recent article.

The Real Reason Arabs In Israel Do Not Want to Live In ‘Palestine’ – The main reason Arabs in Israel are afraid of becoming Palestinian citizens is because they know that the Palestinian state will be anything but democratic. Many Arab citizens of Israel see how Palestinians living under the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip are subject to human rights violations on a daily basis. In Israel, Arab citizens participate in the general elections and have their own representatives in the Knesset. In the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, Palestinians have been deprived of free and fair elections since January 2006.

President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority is now in the 16th year of his four year term. I’m not kidding. He is 84, in failing health, and has named no successor. He has said he will die before giving up any part of “Palestine” which he says is “from the river to the sea.” This is the chant heard on college campuses around the world. Don’t hold your breath waiting for him to make peace with Israel.

We need to pray for the helpless Palestinian people. They need the Messiah Yeshua as much as the rest of us. God is blessing Israel and will increase favor. The best hope for Palestinians is to be granted Israeli citizenship and to worship Yehovah, God of Israel.

“Thus you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel. It shall be that you will divide it by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, and for the strangers who dwell among you and who bear children among you. They shall be to you as native-born among the children of Israel; they shall have an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. And it shall be that in whatever tribe the stranger dwells, there you shall give him his inheritance,” says the Lord Yehovah. Ezekiel 47:21-23

Palestinian History Lesson

This cartoon is totally true. Palestine was a generic term for the land area of Israel imposed by the Romans in the first Century. There has never been an actual country called Palestine at any time in history. The Jerusalem Post newspaper was originally the Palestine Post until Israel became a nation. The Palestine Liberation Org (PLO) under Yasser Arafat co-opted the term in 1964. Before that, residents of Israel were Jews and Arabs. By creating a new group he claimed victimhood for his followers. Even today there are nearly two million Arab citizens of Israel, most of whom are happy to be “Israelis.” They are better off than most Arabs in any Muslim country.

The Arab/Palestinian people would like to make peace with Israel. It is their radical jihadist leaders that prevent every peace plan. When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we are praying for Arabs and Jews alike. Every human being who receives the Messiah Yeshua as the Son of God and Savior is welcomed into the family of God. We continue to pray for the future merger of the “one new man” where we all become one in Him.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galations 3:26-29

For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah. There is neither Yehudi nor Yevanit, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. Finally, the distinctions listed still exist in this world, but the message is that we all have

equal access to relationship with God through His Son, the Messiah Yeshua.

Follow-up to Isaiah 45

This week I posted my commentary on the impeachment, related to the Trump/Cyrus links in Isaiah 45. Please read it if you missed it the first time. But I want to add three particular points from verse 13:

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; he shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward,” says Yehovah of hosts. Isaiah 45: 13

The righteousness here does not refer to Cyrus (or Trump). Cyrus was a pagan king. The prophetic voice of Yehovah God to Isaiah/Israel was pre-empting their natural rejection of God using a Gentile. God was saying that He, Yehovah, is doing this “in righteousness.” It is His own plan fulfilled using Cyrus. King Cyrus’ (or Trump’s) righteousness is not relevant. It is God’s purpose. Yehovah is doing it.
Next, Cyrus will build Jerusalem and free the captives of Babylon. Remember that this prophecy used the name of Cyrus over one hundred years before he was born, thus the extraordinary explanation ahead of time. President Trump’s declaration for Jerusalem is well documented. The American exiled Jews also fit the analogy, though it requires explanation. There are more Jews in Israel than America. This was not true only 20 years ago. God is calling American Jews to Israel. Not all Jews in America will return, but that is another story. (See Ezekiel 20:33-38. This passage reveals that the Jews scattered to the countries will end up in a place called “the wilderness of the peoples” which, given the historical reality, refers to America.)
Finally, Cyrus will do this “not for price or reward.” He did it because God motivated him. He got nothing in return. In fact, he lost many productive citizens of Persia and great wealth carried to Jerusalem. President Trump does not even keep his $400,000 salary. He is doing his job “not for price or reward.” He is mightily opposed by some powerful nations and even within the United States.

My conclusion is that these current global and Middle East geo-political events have their source in God, far above politics or personalities. He is restoring Jerusalem in our time. Yehovah God Himself is doing this today “in righteousness!” Are you with Him or against Him?

Here is a good look at the peace plan from Mike Evans, a #1 New York Times bestselling author with 100 published books. He is the founder of Friends of Zion Museum in Jerusalem of which the late President Shimon Peres, Israel’s ninth president, was the chair. He also serves as a founding member on the Trump Evangelical Faith Initiative and has 70 million Facebook followers on the Jerusalem Prayer Team.

Impeach Isaiah 45

The “Deal of the Century” and impeachment show an amazing convergence of Bible prophecy and geo-political realities. Congresswoman Maxine Waters (Dem-CA) is best known for her slogan: “Impeach 45!” Would you believe that the demand is far deeper than politics? Here is my view of the peace deal.

Yesterday President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the new peace plan which was rejected by the Palestinians before it was even announced. The context of Isaiah 45 is key. Many of us saw the connection between the Cyrus prophecy and Trump before the last election. Yet, I only now made the link to the Maxine slogan. She wants to impeach the 45th President, but there is a deeper demonic agenda to block God’s purpose proclaimed in Isaiah 45. Yehovah used the ancient Cyrus of Persia to release the captive Jews to return to their land and rebuild the Temple and Jerusalem.

The modern day Cyrus has indeed accomplished more for Israel than any other U.S. President, and the devil doesn’t like it. Whatever you think of Trump, he somehow has managed to occupy a profound place in God’s purpose for Israel. So what about the peace deal? There is opposition from the Left and the Right. Is it the anti-Christ peace deal?

I don’t think so. Some worry that it includes a Palestinian state. But that is only if they meet certain staged milestones, and then only after ten years. They have rejected every other offer since 1948, even when promised 97% of the West Bank. This offer is for 70%. There is an old (true) saying that the “Palestinians never miss an opportunity… to miss an opportunity.” This is more than political. It is spiritual. The anti-Israel principality of Islam has never wanted part of Israel. It wants ALL of the land, AND the genocide of the Jews. It will never accept anything less.

Does the new plan offer to divide the land? No, the land is already divided. The plan allows Israel to immediately extend sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and other areas, which actually expands Israel’s borders. The plan is genius. It exposes the absolute intransigence of the Palestinian leaders.

PA President calls Trump ‘Dog, son of a B**ch’– Orders PA security forces not to interfere with ‘clashes’ nor to arrive to conflict zones. “He won’t threaten me. In the time I have left to live I won’t be a traitor. I said no to the Deal of the Century – and I will continue to say no. I have refused to talk to him and I’ll bear the consequences, no matter what they may be,” added Abbas.

President Trump’s timing is not a desperate attempt to distract from the impeachment. The impeachment is a desperate attempt to keep Trump from fulfilling his Isaiah 45 function.

“Thus says Yehovah to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held— To subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, Yehovah, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. For Jacob My servant’s sake, and Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. I am Yehovah, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am Yehovah, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, Yehovah, do all these things.’ … I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; he shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward,” says Yehovah of hosts. Isaiah 45:1-7, 13

6 Million Jews Dead

49 countries, including 41 heads of state, are expected in Jerusalem this week

Half of U.S. adults do not know about this! The murder of six million Jews is one of the darkest moments in world history and yet many American adults are ignorant of the historical facts. No wonder anti-semitism is on the rise.

Survey: Most US adults don’t know 6 million Jews killed in Holocaust – Pew study finds half of US adults don’t know basic facts about the Holocaust, including how Hitler came to power or number of Jewish victims. Those are some of the findings of a new study by the Pew Research Center released on Tuesday, about a week ahead of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The study asked nearly 13,000 respondents, Jewish and non-Jewish adults and teenagers, four questions about the Holocaust.

January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. From Auschwitz to Jerusalem, the Holocaust is remembered so it would never happen again.

Everything you must know about the biggest diplomatic event in Israel’s history – Who’s coming and who’s boycotting the event? Who will be allowed to speak? Will Putin sit next to Pence? What are the leaders doing in their spare time? And what’s on the menu?

The prophetic importance of the Holocaust is even bigger than the tragedy itself. What Satan meant for evil, God has used for good. Only three years later, the world saw the miraculous rebirth of Israel, the Jewish nation. Nothing could have been more impossible in 1945 and yet it happened. The terrible suffering was forseen by the Psalmist is Psalm 102. I call it “The Holocaust Psalm.”

If you have never consider it, please read Psalm 102 right now. The first ten verses are a graphic vision of those demonic concentration camps and the indescribable suffering. But it is more than that, it is a prayer which is answered in verse thirteen:

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. Psalm 102:13

This is one of the most profound prophecies in the Bible. Many last day interpretations require a bit of mental gymnastics, but this is so literally and historically clear. The Psalm that looked to the future is now a record of history and prophecy fulfilled. How can anyone read it in the context of the Holocaust and not see the direct historical connections? The Holocaust happened. Israel was reborn. Israel passed from being tormented and scattered around all the world to experiencing favor, restoration, and blessing from Yehovah, God of Israel. Hallelujah!

Verse eighteen gives us the final clue:

This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise Yehovah. Psalm 102:18

Unfortunately, a mistake in translation obscures the clue. Most versions say either “a generation to come” or “a future generation.” However, the Hebrew text is quite the opposite of some “nebulous” future time. The Hebrew is simply: “this will be written for the last generation.” Psalm 102 could not be literally understood until after the events transpired in history. Now it is clear. This is the time to favor Zion!

Pray for the peace and favor of Jerusalem! Praise Him for the abundant snow and rain the last two weeks.

Planet-wide Birth Pangs

According to the Bible this planet is wearing out, like old clothes. Did you know that? There are an extraordinary number of volcanos and earthquakes right now around the earth. The volcanoes and earthquakes and wildfires and wars and rumors of wars and climate catastrophes like floods and tornadoes and hurricanes and even resistant bacterial epidemics are all prophesied in the Bible. Whew! What does all this mean?

Well, it is the answer to a question Jesus was asked by his disciples in Matthew 24. “How can we know when you are coming back?” His answer was summarized in a curious analogy. It will be at time when all these things listed will converge in something He calls, in verse eight, “the beginning of sorrows”. The literal Greek meaning is travail or birth pangs. The whole earth is now going through these birth pains. His analogy is of a woman about to give birth after many, many days of pregnancy. That is where we are in history.

When the birth is imminent, three things happen. The pains keep increasing in number and intensity, they are closer together, and they last longer. This is where the earth is in history.

THE SHAKING EARTH

“You, Yehovah, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will fold them up, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail.” Hebrews 1:10-12

Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You will endure; Yes, they will all grow old like a garment; like a cloak You will change them, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will have no end. Psalm 102:25-27

THE UNSHAKABLE KINGDOM

When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.” This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain. Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire. Hebrews 12:26-29 NLT

Jerusalem is the only time specific reference in the Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Jesus prophesied its destruction of 70 AD and then its restoration, which we now see fulfilled. This is the generation that will “not pass away.”

So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away tillall things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Luke 21:231-33

The Greening of Israel

Why do we pray for rain for Israel? Israel must become green. We pray according to God’s restoration purpose prophesied by prophets of old. If you want your prayers answered, pray what God has already said He will do.

“Listen to me, all who hope for deliverance—all who seek Yehovah! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined. Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.” Yehovah will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of Yehovah. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air. Isaiah 51:1-3 NLT

THE GARDEN OF YEHOVAH – We are now living in the season of the supernatural restoration of Israel, promised by Yehovah God of Israel, through many prophets over 4,000 years! God turned the page in 1948, following the prophesied judgement of the 1,800+ years of scattering to the countries of the world, and we now see favor and blessing for His Chosen ones.

I will be to Israel like a refreshing dew from heaven. Israel will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon. Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon. My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon. Hosea 14:5-7 NLT

After years of drought the sea of Galilee is beginning to fill up again. It has risen three and a half feet already. Rainfall is “an unusually high amount for this point in the season.” The lake is 13 miles long and 8.1 miles wide covering 64.4 square miles. That’s a lot of rain! Thank you Jesus.

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Finally, we pray for the restoration of the seasonal rains because God says to, when we are “in the time of latter rain.” The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this generation on “all flesh” means it is time for Israel’s greening! The best part is Israel is included in His Holy Spirit rain.

For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. “And you will live in Israel, the land I gave your ancestors long ago. You will be my people, and I will be your God. … And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! Ezekiel 36:24-28, 35 NLT

2020 Zion’s Favor

This new year will see continued restoration of God’s favor toward Israel. The graph of His faithful blessings is still moving steadily upward. There are setbacks along the way, but Yehovah turns them around in the fulfilling of His Plan. The recent flare-up with Iran only confirms what I have been saying for several years. Iran will be diminished in this season. Iran only rises to join the final coalition for the final battle of Gog & Magog: foretold in Ezekiel 38. The primary countries named are Turkey, Iran, Sudan and Libya . (The towns listed are in Turkey and the ancient country names are now Iran/ Persia, Ethiopia/Sudan and Libya). This can only emerge after a time of peace when Israel takes down all of their present walls. Read the conditions listed for yourself.

Therefore, Doreen and I continue to travel to support Israel as we “stay in our lane” proclaiming the restoration of Israel: the land, the people, the Hebrew language, their culture and salvation through the Messiah Yeshua and the restoration of the covenant name of our Father God: YEHOVAH!

Our travel was extensive this year with 2 1/2 weeks in Florida in March and a stop in Chareston, SC on the way home. Patrick Kennedy and I went to Lt. Gov. Dan Forest’s men’s retreat at the Billy Graham Cove in April and also shared in the Shalom Peniel Passover at the Raleigh Hilton. June was our wonderful Israel tour with 30 folks forever changed. In July, Doreen and I were blessed to attend the Christians United for Israel Summit with John Hagee in Washington, DC. August found us at Liberty University for the American Renewal Project promoting Christian pastor and church involvement in the election process. It is time Christians stand up and speak up and VOTE for righteousness in government. Idaho was the location of 2 1/2 weeks of ministry in October in Sandpoint, Challis and Boise. Two weeks ministering in New Hampshire followed throuugh Nov 5. We then left Nov. 27 for Kenya ministry, returning on Dec 11. The PDA youth conference saw over 1,500 saved and over 3,000 baptized in the Holy Spirit. I also spoke to 100 pastors in Nairobi and had several life-changing impartations of my Israel message to key pastors from Zimbabwe and India. Whew! What a wonderful year. Thank you Jesus! 2020 Vision in Prophecy

This cartoon with the sound of “ticking” has prophetic meaning. This is not just another year or decade. Major prophetic pieces are fitting into the puzzle. Hidden plots in the past are now being revealed. Israel is at the center of the world in many respects. The geo-politcal shaking of nations is being overtaken by cosmic contests of war in the heavenlies.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

Elisha Vision Ministries is based on the prayer of Elisha for his servant’s eyes to be opened to see in the spiritual dimension. Elisha’s great declaration was “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 2 Kings 6:16 We see the end of days, and we win in Jesus. Pray for 2020 spiritual vision.

But in the meantime, we are at war in the spiritual plane. Don’t look down at the flesh, look up to the Messiah and Yehovah, the God of angel armies. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken.

Yet I see real victory in 2020. We plan to take two groups to Israel. I see victory for God’s purpose in the elections in both Israel and America. I see a greater harvest of souls for the Kingdom and greater activation of believers to function with authority in a broken world. I see revival in Africa sparked by a greater move of God in Kenya and beyond. I see believers moving into greater faith, not just for healing, but faith to live in health. We are closer than ever to the glorious appearing of the Messiah Yeshua! Here is a word for 2020. Speak, exhort and rebuke with authority.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you. Titus 2:11-15

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for seasonal rain in the Land! May your new year be blessed and effective for the Kingdom of God.

The Answer to: WHY Anti-Semitsm?

With the recent sharp rise in anti-Semitic attacks against Jews, a fundamental question begs an answer. Statistics are abundant, but what is behind the hatred of Jews, not just now, but throughout history? The answer is simple and may surprise you. Jews are not the true object of the hatred. They are substituted for the real hatred. Why them? The answer is in Psalm 83 and Zechariah 2. God’s enemies cannot reach Him, so they go after His chosen people. It will never stop before the Messiah comes.

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You: Psalm 83:1-5

The hatred is against Yehovah God. It issues forth from the very hatred and rebellion of Satan himself against God. The devil cannot touch God, so he goes after God’s beloved people. He orchestrates hatred and violence against Israel trying to get back at Yehovah.

For thus says Yehovah of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. Zechariah 2:8

The devil has been trying to seduce man since the garden of Eden. He has been trying to prevent the Messiah’s salvation since the beginning. Even after seeing Jesus killed, he still lost when the Messiah was resurrected from the dead! Satan hates God. He instills this hatred in all who fall under his influence. The parallels between now and pre-war Nazi Germany are striking.

As long as this present world keeps talking about race or economics or politics to justify or explain anti-Semitism, they will never understand the real source of the evil hatred. It is destined to culminate in the battle of the ages between heaven and hell when the Messiah comes. But as stated, Satan has already lost; because Jesus Himself is the resurrection and the life!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and thank God for the rain and snow this season.

Un-Christianity Today

Last night I read the editorial from Christianity Today magazine. It was a rehash of Democrat talking points cleverly couched in religious and moral superiority. Name-dropping Billy Graham backfired immediately with Franklin Graham’s denunciation of the article, and revelation that Billy Graham voted for Trump, knew him personally and “He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.”

The Bible exposes the self-righteousness of the editorial. Only when one feels morally superior does he forget this fundamental truth. No man knows another man’s heart:

“Judge not, that you be not judged.For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11

President Trump will ultimately be judged on the fruit of his actions, not his words. Of course he offends many with his words, but what does he actually do, not in the past, but in his presidency? I maintain that his policy accomplishments have done more for Biblical standards in our nation than any President since Reagan. Whether it is from his heart or political expediency is not for me to judge or even know. But I do know that when I go into that voting booth in 2020 my vote is for the candidates who stand for pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-family, pro-America (not a globalist), pro legal immigration (not open borders), pro-school choice, pro-jobs and pro-minorities. Is President Trump a flawed human being? Of course! Show me one person without sin (other than Jesus) and I will hand you the stones. Compare the platforms of the parties and vote for the party which most closely lines up with the Bible. No contest.

I agree with Billy (and Franklin) Graham. Donald Trump (like Cyrus of old) is God’s man for this hour in America.

Fruitful Kenya Ministry

Praise God for the wonderfully blessed ministry in Kenya last week. There were nearly 5,000 young people and pastors gathered in Bungoma County in western Kenya. At least 1,500 gave their lives to Jesus and over 3,000 were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

What an honor to speak of God’s faithfulness to Israel and our calling as watchmen to stand on the wall to proclaim comfort to Jerusalem. Kenya has been standing with Israel and a new generation is empowered to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to speak out for Israel.

It was especially significant to share with over 100 pastors. Several from other countries returned to their vineyards with a new authority to preach the restoration of Israel as a necessary stage in the soon coming of the Messiah Yeshua.

As you know it is my “lane” to declare the one new man revelation of the breaking down of the partition between Israel and the Church. Much was accomplished in our two weeks in Africa. Please pray especially for Pastor David from Zimbabwe and Dr. Karpana from India who received real impartation regarding Israel. Also, please pray for our leader, Michael Masambu that he can rest from the heavy responsibility he has carried for months to reach the successful conclusion. Michael is truly a man for Kenya.

Doreen and I, along with Patrick Kennedy, represented North Carolina. We were blessed beyond words in many ways and thank Yehovah God for the privilege and honor of proclaiming the Kingdom. We are now home and recovered from jet-lag. We are still meditating on all the Lord Jesus has done. Hallelujah!

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to Yehovah. Give Yehovah no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth. Yehovah has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength: “I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and new wine. You raised the grain, and you will eat it, praising Yehovah. Within the courtyards of the Temple, you yourselves will drink the wine you have pressed.” Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. Yehovah has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people of Israel, ‘Look, your Savior is coming. see, he brings his reward with him as he comes.’” They will be called “The Holy People” and “The People Redeemed by Yehovah.” and Jerusalem will be known as “The Desirable Place” and “The City No Longer Forsaken.” Isaiah62:6-12 NLT

Kenya Loves Israel

Last year’s PDA Conference: Purpose Destiny Achievement

Doreen and I along with our friend, Patrick Kennedy, are flying out to Kenya in a few hours. It will be my honor to speak for three hours to 100 pastors in Nairobi this Friday. Later in the next week I am speaking to another 100 pastors in Bungoma Town. Both pastors’ meetings are on the subject of Kenya standing with Israel.

Speaking in a church each Sunday is also a blessing. Last year the Lord Jesus really joined us in the Holy Spirit with two church families. The main youth conference has 3,400 youth and young adults registered. Please pray for us that the Gospel of the Kingdom of God will touch many. Also, please pray that the flooding rains in Kenya would stop for the next two weeks during the conference. More than 65 died in floods and landslides last weekend.

My good friend Michael Masambu tells me that ancient Cush included part of Kenya, and that there are Cushites still living in northern Kenya. The nation is 80% Christian and has a record of standing with Israel at key times. Pray for Kenya!

“And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious.” It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and Egypt, from Pathros and Cush,From Elam and Shinar, from Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. Isaiah 11:10-12

Hand of God Defeats Missiles

This is a true report of the recent Israeli cruise missile counter attack on Iranian forces near Damascus, Syria as missiles were fired at Israel.

Hand of God Returns Syrian Missiles to Fall Upon the Enemies of Israel – On Wednesday night, the Syrian army launched missiles at Israel but a video released on Twitter shows that at least one missile changed course after launch, striking inside Syria.

The story goes on to explain that Israel shot them down with “Delilah” cruise missiles with radar-jamming technology. Some of the successful defense was credited to Israeli technology, but part could not be explained. It reminds me of the Gaza rocket that hit a Gaza building instead of the Israeli target two weeks ago. Amnesty International blamed Israel but was contradicted by an eye witness Fox News reporter across the street from the Gaza building. (See Israel Fake News).

It should be noted that this is not the first time the hand of God has sent missiles back to fall upon the enemies of Israel. In 2016, Russia sent the advanced S-300 anti-air system to Iran. The move caused great concern in Israel but Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi, a prominent spiritual leader, reassured his followers that the missiles were not a threat.The rabbi predicted,“These missiles, which can shoot down practically any plane, will get a virus in their computers, and go crazy. They will blow up inside their bunkers. The launcher will blow up underneath them.” A few weeks later, a YouTube video showed precisely what the rabbi had prophesied: a missile shot out of an S-300 launcher but its rocket failed to ignite. The missile dropped back onto its launcher, exploding inside the bunker.Breaking Israel News

They have prepared a net for my steps;

This concept is consistent throughout the Bible. It is the promise of Yehovah God to protect His people as in Psalm 91. That is why I steadfastly pray against the spirit of Haman (Book of Esther). As his evil plot was exposed and all those conspiring were hung on the gallows Haman had built for Mordecai, so too today I pray that those who conspire against God, would fall into their own trap.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray with faith! And pray for rain in season.

Israel Defense Minister’s Prayer

Watch: Defense Minister’s prayer at first General Staff meeting – Naftali Bennett recites prayer for the State of Israel at first General Staff meeting since becoming Defense Minister.

What a great way to start your term in office! Naftali Bennett, Israel’s new Defense Minister started his first General Staff meeting with prayer. It inspires me to pray for Israel. If we pray for Israel’s defense from their enemies, Yehovah God will protect us from our enemies. It is the eternal “quid quo pro” of Scripture.

I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

The name “Naftali” means “my wrestling” or “one who struggles or fights.” He was Jacob’s fifth son. It seems appropriate for the Defense Minister of Israel.

Then Rachel said, “With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and indeed I have prevailed.” So she called his name Naphtali.Genesis 30:8

Israel Fake News

The problem of fake news is not just in America. Israel regularly faces the same issue. Here is just the most recent example.

Fox News reporter in Gaza: Amnesty International lied – Reporter rebuts Amnesty claim Israel hit Gaza building, explaining, “A rocket misfired from Gaza. I was across the street when it happened.” Amnesty International lied yesterday, Tuesday, when it accused Israel of violating international law for bombing the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights building in Gaza, said Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst.

Amnesty International Called Out for Falsely Accusing Israel of Attacking Gaza Building — Which Was Actually Hit by Misfired Palestinian Rocket – Amnesty quickly issued a tweet saying, “We strongly condemn attack on the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights whose office in Gaza was struck by an Israeli missile earlier this morning. Strikes targeting civilian buildings is a violation of international law.”

The irony and hypocrisy of this charge is that Israel always strikes military targets in response to terror attacks while the terrorists target civilians. That is the whole point of terror, to intimidate the civilian population. Don’t be deceived by “media reports,” find out the truth by double-checking the several sources of any story. Amnesty International is notorious for its left-leaning anti-Israel stance.

Pray for truth to come out. I end with my favorite revelation from 2 Thessalonians:

He (Satan) will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:10–12 NLT

Never Means Never

Fear not

Israel has been hit by over 200 rockets in the last 24 hours (now over 360 in 48 hours) after eliminating a top terror commander in Gaza. We pray that this will not escalate into a major invasion. Gaza continues to burn with violence year after year. The very name “Hamas” in Hebrew means violence. Yet rather than be discouraged, we pray for Israel and confess the immutable purpose of Yehovah God:

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says Yehovah, who has mercy on you. Isaiah 54:10 NLT

Here is one example of God’s miracle mercy:

Netivot home hit: ‘Miracle – not sure we’d get to shelter’ – Batsheva Haddad’s home suffers direct rocket hit. She and family entered protected space on time and were saved.

Rockets Rain Down on Israel After Killing of Top Jihadist – Overnight, the Israel Air Force (IAF) had taken out Bahaa Abu al-Ata, a high-ranking Islamic Jihad leader in Gaza. Al-Ata was responsible for numerous attacks on Israel in recent months and years. He is also believed to have been planning further larger attacks against Israeli population centers.

It is Yehovah who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says: “I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!” Jeremiah 31:35-36 NLT

All Christians Pray for Israel’s Return

Every time you pray the Lord’s Prayer you are praying for the regathering of the Jewish exiles from all the countries of the world. The first line implores our heavenly Father to “hallow” or “sanctify” His name. There is only one Bible passage that explains how this can be done.

It has long been understood from the Scriptures that Christian support for Jewish Aliyah (immigration to Israel) is expected, but in the opinion of esteemed theologian Dr Fred Wright, it is absolutely fundamental.

Dr Wright points out that there is only one portion of Scripture that explains how the Lord’s name may be sanctified, and it is found in a passage from Ezekiel chapter 36 (beginning at verse 16) that, in the Hebrew Bible, is headed Kidush ha Shem (The Sanctification of God’s Holy Name).

Jewish exile is a consequence of their rebellion against God whose holy name is constantly profaned while they remain in foreign lands, “for it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land’.” (v20)

So it is out of concern for his holy name, which they have profaned (a word used five times in this short passage) by their exile, that the Lord will bring them back (vv24-26). Israel Today 11-3-19

My book, Speak To the Dirt! explains in detail that Israel’s exile was judgement that contradicted God’s promise to the land and people of Israel. Only their return to the land will hallow or sanctify His name according to Ezekiel. The nations shall know His name at that time. Also remember that His name is not “LORD” but is Yehovah!

And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am Yehovah,” says the Lord Yehovah, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Ezekiel 36:23-24

As Israel celebrates Aliyah Day, 2019 figures point to a peak year – According to official statistics, 28,629 olim arrived in Israel between January and October 2019. Only a decade ago, the number of olim for roughly the same period stood at 17,179. Israel Hayom

Declaration for Israel

Doreen and I made a wonderful discovery in our first New Hampshire weekend. Milton Christian Fellowship uses a great declaration in their prayer time on Sunday mornings. I share it here for you to use however the Lord leads you as we stand for God’s purposes in Israel. Statement of Solidarity

We have been so blessed with the personal hospitality of Pastor Jim and Donna Weeden and the whole church. They love Israel and were an inspiration to Doreen and me.

Will the Nile River Run Dry?

Does the Bible prophesy the Nile River will dry up? Among certain unfulfilled prophesies this one about the Nile is quite troubling. How could such a devastating thing even happen? Is it real? The prediction is found in the prophecy of Isaiah, chapter 19.

The waters of the Nile will fail to rise and flood the fields. The riverbed will be parched and dry. The canals of the Nile will dry up, and the streams of Egypt will stink with rotting reeds and rushes. All the greenery along the riverbank and all the crops along the river will dry up and blow away. Isaiah 19:5-7 NLT

Could this really happen? It is as real as today’s headlines.

Egypt’s options dry up as Nile dam talks break down – Egypt has been holding talks for years with Ethiopia and Sudan, which have long complained about Cairo’s overwhelming share of the river. The Nile supplies more than 90% of Egypt’s fresh water, although Egyptians have one of the lowest per capita shares of water in the world. The latest breakdown in talks with Ethiopia over its construction of a massive upstream Nile dam has left Egypt with dwindling options as it seeks to protect the main source of fresh water for its large and growing population.

Talks collapsed earlier this month over the construction of the $5 billion Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is around 70% complete and promises to provide much-needed electricity to Ethiopia’s 100 million people. But Egypt, with a population of around the same size, fears that the process of filling the reservoir behind the dam could slice into its share of the river, with catastrophic consequences. Pro-government media have cast it as a national security threat that could warrant military action. Israel Hayom

We have been looking at Isaiah 19 for awhile now, and it is a severe judgment in verse 12: “what God plans, what Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies is going to do to Egypt.” Yet, the chapter does not end there, but with great news. The resulting repentance of Egyptians causes them to cry out to the God of Israel!

In that day five of Egypt’s cities will follow Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies. They will even begin to speak Hebrew, the language of Canaan. One of these cities will be Heliopolis, the City of the Sun. In that day there will be an altar to Yehovah in the heart of Egypt, and there will be a monument to Yehovah at its border. It will be a sign and a witness that Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt. When the people cry to Yehovah for help against those who oppress them, he will send them a savior who will rescue them.Yehovah will make himself known to the Egyptians. Yes, they will know Yehovah and will give their sacrifices and offerings to him. They will make a vow to Yehovah and will keep it.Yehovah will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to Yehovah, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them. Isaiah 19:18-22 NLT

Wow! Can you believe it? What a wonderful salvation in the end. Finally, there will also be something similar happening in the area of ancient Assyria which is now Syria and the area where the Kurds now live.

In that day Egypt and Assyria will be connected by a highway. The Egyptians and Assyrians will move freely between their lands, and they will both worship God. And Israel will be their ally. The three will be together, and Israel will be a blessing to them. For Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies will say, “Blessed be Egypt, my people. Blessed be Assyria, the land I have made. Blessed be Israel, my special possession!” Isaiah 19:23-25 NLT

Wow again! Fasten your seat belts, the ride may get a little bumpy in the near future. This is a literal prophecy for our day, soon to be fulfilled. Watch and pray.

Yes, Time to Favor Zion

My sojourn in Idaho has been abundantly blessed with renewed confirmation of Yehovah God’s perfect timing. I see it in the anointed ministry all around this month, but mostly every time I look at the favor on Israel.

I have spoken on Psalm 102 with greater clarity each time. The Holy Spirit confirms over and over the graphic description of the the Holocaust in that Psalm. That is why I call it: The Holocaust Psalm. Yet, the message is not one of despair because it leaps to the fruit of six million seeds of martyrs for their faith. Verse thirteen shouts the glorious news that God turns the page to favor, blessings and restoration. I maintain that the full prophetic meaning of this Psalm could only be grasped after the Holocaust.

A people who did not win a war from 70 AD to 1948, have not lost a war from 1948 to the present. Why? FAVOR! The time to favor Zion has come. We are eyewitnesses to the amazing evidence. They got their nation back, their land back, their language back, their capital city back and more! They are the technology start-up nation. They have made wonderful breakthroughs in medicine and agriculture. They have discovered trillions of cubic feet of natural gas offshore and are energy independent. I could go on.

It is my awesome honor to proclaim the mighty works of God in Israel from city to city, from state to state and in other countries. We are truly living in the Biblical time of restoration. Hallelujah! Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:19-21

Road Trip! Idaho

Michael Masambu and I had a fun road trip through the spectacular mountains of Idaho traveling from Challis to Boise with only one minor wrong turn (one hour). We are now in our third week of ministry in this great part of God’s country.

The Challis ministry at Living Waters Ranch was wonderful with rich worship, fellowship and teaching with other leaders, a gathering of eagles. Now we are staying in the most hospitable lodging in Eagle, Idaho. The Aldous family has been a great blessing hosting us.

Brian Harrison has put together a week-long celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles with multiple speakers and great worship teams. My emphasis on the restoration of Israel has been well received.

Monday I return home for three days and then Doreen and I fly to New Hampshire for two weeks of meetings into November. At the end of November we fly with Patrick Kennedy to 15 days of ministry in Kenya. Wow! What an honor to be used by Yehovah.

Please continue to hold us up in prayer for utterance from above to speak the words of life from Jesus.

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of Yehovah, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7

Idaho Update

Idaho Feast of Tab Conf

Today is Yom Kippur in Idaho. Jews around the world have been repenting and seeking atonement for their sins. How wonderful is the revelation that Yeshua the Messiah gave His own blood as the Lamb of Yehovah to wipe away our sin once and for all who believe! We cannot atone for our own sins, only trust Yeshua’s blood sacrifice. Hallelujah!

Tonight I have my fourth meeting in Sandpoint, Idaho. It has been great so far. One of my favorite spots is always at the Cocalalla Cowboy Church. Tonight is Sandpoint Christian Center and tomorrow I drive nine hours to Challis, Id. to Living Water Ranch with Christopher and Debbie James for a three-day conference. I will be joining there with Michael Masambu of Kenya, and then we go together to Boise for next week’s Feast of Tabernacles One New Man Conference in Meridian.

Please continue to pray for utterance from above as I declare God’s faithfulness to Israel based on two immutable (unchangeable) things: His character and His Word.

For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 16:20

Prayer for Travel

Living Waters Ranch Challis, Idaho

Here is my travel update and request for prayer as I leave today to minister in Idaho, New Hampshire and Kenya. My prayer request is simple:

And for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, Ephesians 6:19

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. Ephesians 6:19 NLT

Notice that I pray as Paul did, not for boldness, but that utterance would be given by God. Anyone can be bold, but we need to hear from God so we speak the right words. God has opened doors for me to speak in seven of the next ten weeks, ending with two weeks in Kenya speaking to 3,000 high school and college age future leaders of Kenya. I have also been scheduled to speak to several dozen pastors in two weekends on the subject of Kenya standing with Israel. Finally, I will speak each Sunday in local churches.

This week is Sandpoint, Idaho, at River of Life Church, Saturday morning and evening. Cocollala Cowboy Church Sunday morning, and Sandpoint Christian Center Wednesday night. The following weekend is Challis, Idaho at Living Waters Ranch. The third week is in Boise at a week long Feast of Tabernacles One New Man Conference in Meridian led by Brian Harrison (details: 208-899-0888).

Doreen and I will be in New England Oct 25-Nov 5 at Milton, NH the first weekend with Pastor Jim Weedon at Milton Christian Fellowship; and then with Pastor Henry Snyder at River Church in Conway, NH the second Sunday.

Doreen is also going to Kenya with me (along with Patrick Kennedy) for two weeks from Nov 27-Dec 11. Michael Masambu leads the Kenya Purpose, Destiny, Achievement Conference. Michael and I will also be together in Challis and Boise. Praise God for His open doors. Your prayers are gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

No Plan B

Was God surprised and taken off guard when Adam and Eve fell into sin? Did that event throw a monkey wrench into God’s “little earth experiment?” Did He wring his hands and worry: “What am I going to do? Oh! What am I going to do now? I wasn’t prepared for this”? Does God have a Plan A and B and perhaps a Plan C or D? Of course it sounds foolish when put this way, but has God ever been surprised by any development of history? This is a very critical and basic issue. This question is pertinent to our whole story. If God just tries a plan “to see if it works” and in fact does not really know whether it will, then He is not the God of the Bible.

“Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass, I have purposed it; I will also do it” Isaiah 46:9-11.

This hardly sounds like one who is ruling at the whims of mankind’s vacillating will. We do have a free will as it affects our personal place in God’s plan, but our choice will neither alter nor thwart God’s purpose. He is the only one who knows the outcome from beginning to end before it happens! There is no Plan B!

“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, “My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,” Isaiah 46:10

Some Christians today are actually being tempted by fleshly pride with the so-called “replacement theology” that says it didn’t work out with Israel, so God raised up the church to replace them. The real danger of this line of thinking is that if God could change His mind about all His promises to Israel, what would keep Him from changing His mind about the church? Most people in the western nations are ignorant of Islam, but Islamic theology teaches precisely that! They say Israel blew it and then God called the church, but they blew it too, so God called Mohammed and the Muslims of Islam. In effect, they teach that Islam is Plan C. This is not true! God does not revise His purpose to fit man, but He revises man to fit His purpose. He has only had one plan from the beginning, and ultimately He will do it, either with us or without us. In the end there will be an Israel in the land fulfilling in exact literal detail every promise of the Bible, in concert with those promises to the church in all nations.

The Old and New Covenants are a progressive revelation of the original blueprint. These testaments are not mutually exclusive or contradictory as some teach but are a beautifully woven tapestry. They reveal the infinite artistry of our loving Creator who is revealed most perfectly in Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega (Hebrew: the Aleph and the Tav), the beginning and the end. Jesus is not only the Omega of the New Testament, but He is also the Alpha of the Old Testament. God has been working on only one plan all along and it is right on schedule. Israel has always been in the plan and still is even at the end. We, the church, can only understand how we fit it by understanding the context of Israel. The church is grafted into Israel, the original planting of the Lord. There is not a new tree! There is no Plan B! (Today’s blog is excerpted from Chapter 3 in my newest book, Speak To The Dirt!)
