The Greening of Israel

Why do we pray for rain for Israel? Israel must become green. We pray according to God’s restoration purpose prophesied by prophets of old. If you want your prayers answered, pray what God has already said He will do.

“Listen to me, all who hope for deliverance—all who seek Yehovah! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined. Yes, think about Abraham, your ancestor, and Sarah, who gave birth to your nation. Abraham was only one man when I called him. But when I blessed him, he became a great nation.” Yehovah will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Edenher barren wilderness like the garden of Yehovah. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air. Isaiah 51:1-3 NLT

THE GARDEN OF YEHOVAH – We are now living in the season of the supernatural restoration of Israel, promised by Yehovah God of Israel, through many prophets over 4,000 years! God turned the page in 1948, following the prophesied judgement of the 1,800+ years of scattering to the countries of the world,  and we now see favor and blessing for His Chosen ones.

I will be to Israel like a refreshing dew from heaven. Israel will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon. Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon. My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon. Hosea 14:5-7 NLT

After years of drought the sea of Galilee is beginning to fill up again. It has risen three and a half feet already. Rainfall is “an unusually high amount for this point in the season.” The lake is 13 miles long and 8.1 miles wide covering 64.4 square miles. That’s a lot of rain! Thank you Jesus.

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah  will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.  Zechariah 10:1

Finally, we pray for the restoration of the seasonal rains because God says to, when we are “in the time of latter rain.” The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this generation on “all flesh” means it is time for Israel’s greening! The best part is Israel is included in His Holy Spirit rain.

For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. “And you will live in Israel, the land I gave your ancestors long ago. You will be my people, and I will be your God. … And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! Ezekiel 36:24-28, 35 NLT

Thank God for the rain and pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Not all Israel is Israel. When do you think those to whom you are referring will quit worshipping idols——-before or after the greening?

Correct. The Greening is happening now as the Holy Spirit is now moving on the hearts of Israel’s. Those who love the truth will find that Yeshua is son of God and the Messiah. 2 Thess 2:9-12

All of us who we’re blessed to have traveled to Israel have been able to see these things with our own eyes. We have seen that the wastelands by the Dead Sea are indeed blooming. The Lord is keeping every promise He has made, and much more to come. What an exciting time to be alive!! Viki Johnson

on a hot summer Texas day in 1991 I went  out on the porch to read my Bible.  We were in a drought and needed rain. I was led to Proverbs three.  Proverbs 3:19 ESV “The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding the heavens: 20 by His knowledge the deeps broke open, and the clouds drop down the dew” As I read “the clouds drop down the dew” I felt a conventual Rhema assurance that God would provide me rain (although there was no rain in the forecast and there were no clouds in the sky).
As I sat and watched  the Western Horizon a small cloud appeared.
We had rain barrels under the corners of the roof to catch the runoff and 5 gallon buckets and old ice coolers to catch water from the eaves. I went in the house and asked my sons Kevin and Brian to help me set out the buckets under the eaves. When they asked me why, I told them it was going to rain. They looked puzzled as they helped set out the buckets…
We sat and watched as a line of rain clouds formed clear across the horizon and started moving toward us. We could feel the freshness approaching and then the wind stopped, turned and started moving 90% to the North.  I started singing the song “No other name but the name of Jesus.”
The wind stopped, turned 90% back toward us, and delivered several inches of rain as I kept singing the song.
After the rain the boys went back in the house and God “spoke” to me again.  He said that He would give me 1 year of rain for each day I would fast.  It was not a back and forth nor “lets make a deal” but a silent “mind meld” sort of encounter.  I sensed that He expected an estimate of what I thought I could do right at that moment.  My offering of 3 days was accepted and He blessed my farm with 3 years of rain….
