The EU and the Caliphate

Friday night musings…

International discussions for a decade or so have centered on whether Turkey will be admitted to the European Union. They are already a member of NATO. (The escalation of live fire with Syria implicates NATO.) Turkey sits on the junction of two continents, Europe and Asia, but more importantly is rapidly rising to a place of supremacy in the Muslim world. It was the location of the last caliph during the Ottoman Empire.

Yet, I see a new question that seems more to the point. Will the European Union be admitted to the emerging Islamic Caliphate? Europe is swiftly succumbing to the overwhelming pressure of Islamic migration. I say migration intentionally. It is clearly not immigration, which implies assimilation into the new culture. Islam aims to subjugate the target culture.

Therefore Europe faces the eventuality of merging into the Caliphate. However, there is a third option. Eleven members of the EU are seriously contemplating a federal Europe complete with a standing army. Western prophetic scenarios have for years featured a ten nation anti-Christ confederacy in Europe. More recently, Walid Shoebat, Joel Richardson and others see an entirely Muslim anti-Christ system. What if the proposed European Federal group merges with the Caliphate thus fulfilling both scenarios with one system?

One of my early mentors, Earl Waterman of Dalton Mountain NH, advised me in the 1960’s to consider Daniel’s Image. It had two feet and ten toes. He observed that no single foot has ten toes, so look for two groups of five. He further actually (and prophetically) suggested it may be one foot in Europe and one foot in the Middle East.

One thing is certain. Yehovah God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel will finish His plan for this planet. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold—the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure. Daniel 2:44-45

Red Line!

This is one of those days when I can’t decide on the headline.” Inducement!” was my alternative. I settled on “Red Line!” because it was the most graphic moment of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech today to the United Nations General Assembly. With President Obama reluctant to draw a red line, the PM made a compelling case for its necessity. Iran must be stopped before the last stages (building a nuke) or it will be too late. He explained in simple terms why it can’t wait. He also set a reasonable timetable, reaching the red line as early as next Spring.

Inducement! Though the visual graphic of a bomb was memorable, the best line in his speech was the quote from Bernard Lewis: Mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent, it’s an inducement because that is what they’re hoping for. This is a major point that must be understood. MAD, or mutually assured destruction, worked with the USSR because they didn’t want to die anymore than we do. It does not work with Iran because they want to die for their bloodthirsty pagan god. It is their only guarantee of salvation. (Aren’t you thankful that Jesus died in our place?) They also believe it is necessary to start a catastrophic world war in order for Islamic Sharia to rule the planet. I have maintained for years that communism might have won if it was not based on godless atheism. This reveals the more serious threat of Islam. It has a world conquest ideology plus the passion of religious fervor.

One point I often make in my speaking tours is about the future of the European Union. The question has been raised for years whether Turkey will be admitted to the EU. With the rise of Islamic domination of Europe, the correct question is this. Will the EU be permitted to join the worldwide Islamic Caliphate headquartered in Turkey? Since the Arab Spring, events are unfolding so fast that most observers are way behind. The only way to keep ahead of the developments is to read the Bible prophesies. They are literally being fulfilled day by day. (This is clear just in the last few weeks with Egypt according to Isaiah 19.)

Why are you defending Baal?

The Muslim world is on fire on the pretext of cartoons, a video, and burning Korans. Of course, the real reason is a clash of world views between Islam and the Western Judeo-Christian culture. But let’s stick with the protests for now. Daniel Pipes suggests a cartoon a day till they just wear out.

There is one basic flaw revealed by the radical rioters. If their god really is god, why do they defend him, why doesn’t he defend himself? This seems quite clear in the Biblical account of Gideon tearing down the altar to Baal. The town folk demanded that Gideon’s father turn him over to them.

“Bring out your son,” the men of the town demanded of Joash. “He must die for destroying the altar of Baal and for cutting down the Asherah pole.” But Joash shouted to the mob that confronted him, “Why are you defending Baal? Will you argue his case? Whoever pleads his case will be put to death by morning! If Baal truly is a god, let him defend himself and destroy the one who broke down his altar!” From then on Gideon was called Jerub-baal, which means “Let Baal defend himself,” because he broke down Baal’s altar. Judges 6:30-32 NLT

It seems clear to me that apologizing to Muslims for American free speech is the opposite of this “wisdom of Joash.” I am so thankful that I serve the living God, Yehovah, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is the God of Israel and can defend Himself. Yehovah does not demand we give our sons to die for Him, He gave His Son, Yeshua (Jesus), to die for us. It matters what you believe.

On a personal note, thanks to all who prayed for my Idaho ministry. I spoke seven times in ten days with passionate responses each time. God is faithful!

Secrets Made Known

The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Luke 12:2

TODAY! This is how the Muslim world celebrates America’s great tragedy of 9/11: Protesters destroy an American flag pulled down from the U.S. embassy in Cairo, Egypt, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012. Enough has been spoken and written about the political conventions, but one more observation is fitting. The shocking departure from democracy at the DNC was a major embarrassment for President Obama. Someone noticed the change in platform content from 2008 to 2012. The endorsement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was removed, along with all reference to God. Even though it was duly voted before the convention, it was certain to torpedo the Obama campaign, especially among Jewish and millions more Israel supporters. This led to the reversal that required a floor vote at the convention requiring a two-thirds majority. Though the voice vote was repeated three times, it never passed fifty-fifty which was abundantly clear in the audio recordings. Yet, the chairman declared it had passed with the necessary two-thirds! Finally, his pronouncement was greeted by a raucous chorus of boos. I conclude that the hidden changes were made known by the hand of God.

My commentary on May 5, The President’s Hat, was from a prophecy by Bob Jones detailing his impression that hidden things would be revealed all this year about secret dealings of the President. His “hat” would blow off. This has been true in a number of areas such as Operation Fast and Furious, the White House leaks of classified information, and various lies exposed at the highest levels. Still, the most serious is his dealings with Israel such as the flap at the DNC.

TODAY, it was announced that President Obama cancelled his critical September 27th meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu when the PM is in New York for the United Nations session. The reason given was the President’s busy schedule. How could this conceivably happen when Iran is threatening Israel and the world with a nuclear World War III? The cancellation may have been a reaction to these strong but clear words TODAY from Netanyahu: Those who do not place “red lines” in front of Iran have no moral right to put a “red light” in front of Israel when it comes to military action.

This year’s election will determine the destiny of the United States of America. If we choose to stand against Israel we will most certainly fall. Pray for our beloved country. God has an eternal covenant with the land and the people of Israel that has determined the end of nations and empires for 5,000 years.

Egypt’s Dark Night Begins

While a billion people watched the Olympics, Egypt was plunged headlong into the Muslim Brotherhood  nightmare era. President Morsi accomplished in one week, without firing a single shot, a feat that took Turkey over a decade to achieve. Turkey’s Islamists gradually infiltrated all areas of the society for over a decade finally wresting control from the army secularists.

Western observers may seem clueless, but the Bible predicts Egypt’s night, in Isaiah 19. Let’s review just the last week.

August 5 – Terrorist attack on Egyptian forces on the border of Israel and Gaza killing 16 Egyptian soldiers. Times of Israel

August 8 – Morsi fires Intelligence Chief. Egyptian president fires intelligence chief over militant killings of 16 soldiers in Sinai. Washington Post

August 9 – 60 American made and supplied Egyptian tanks enter Sinai. Egypt reportedly sends 60 tanks, 400 armored vehicles to El Arish in biggest deployment since 1979. Israel National News

August 9 – TV host is taken off-air. Tawfiq Okasha’s Faraeen satellite television channel, which is known for its ultra-nationalist, anti-revolutionaries, anti-Brotherhood stances, ceases transmission on Thursday evening on orders of Egyptian state authorities. AhramOnline

August 11 – An Egyptian court ordered the Saturday editions of a newspaper confiscated over allegations it insulted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi. The paper, a tabloid owned by a Christian businessman, has been fiercely critical of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood while showing strong support for the military council. ABC News International online

August 12 – Islamist takeover complete: Morsi Fires Top Defense Brass – Muslim Brotherhood consolidating power: Defense Minister and Chief of Staff sacked, military shaved of extra powers. – Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi has sacked the entire leadership of the country’s defense establishment. Morsi also ordered the retirement of the commanders of the navy, air defense and air force. Israel National News

So, what does all this mean? It was spelled out clearly some 2500 years ago by the prophet Isaiah. Read Isaiah 19. It reveals the evil darkness overtaking Egypt right now, but ends with the glorious salvation of a remnant of Egyptians who will worship Yehovah, the God of Israel. Even now there is a Cairo church of 40,000 believers who worship Yeshua. Here is a must-see video: Thousands in Egypt shout Yeshua for 10 minutes.

In that day five of Egypt’s cities will follow Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies. They will even begin to speak Hebrew, the language of Canaan. One of these cities will be Heliopolis, the City of the Sun. In that day there will be an altar to Yehovah in the heart of Egypt, and there will be a monument to Yehovah at its border. It will be a sign and a witness that Yehovah of Heaven’s Armies is worshiped in the land of Egypt. When the people cry to Yehovah for help against those who oppress them, he will send them a savior who will rescue them. Yehovah will make himself known to the Egyptians. Yes, they will know Yehovah and will give their sacrifices and offerings to him. They will make a vow to Yehovah and will keep it. Yehovah will strike Egypt, and then he will bring healing. For the Egyptians will turn to Yehovah, and he will listen to their pleas and heal them. Isaiah 19:18-22 NLT (I have changed the generic word “LORD” used in English translations to the Hebrew literal name of God, Yehovah, that occurs in the Hebrew text. This passage is so flat using the generic when it is intended to reveal our Father God’s personal name.)

Olympic Israel Snub

Palestinian Flag Shows Bias 

This was a hard blog to title. In case you missed it, these Olympics are the 40th anniversary of the 1972 Munich Massacre of 11 Israelis. It would seem to have been a no-brainer to offer a moment of silence as requested by Israel during the opening ceremony. Yet, it was ultimately blocked by the Head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Much has been written pro and con, but I wish to share a little known explanation. The biased decision by the IOC Head was not even subtle as you can see from this picture.

 

However, the story does not end there. American gymnast Alexandra Raisman had an appropriate response. By saying her gold medal-winning performance in the floor exercise was in part a memorial to the Israelis who perished long before she was born, Raisman gave us a genuine moment of Jewish pride that places the IOC’s shameful stand in perspective. Jonathan S. In the end, it is not to be expected that the world will support Israel. The Bible is clear that the nations will be against Israel. Only God and God’s people will stand with Israel. I pray that we as a nation will be counted with those who bless Israel.

Peace That Doesn’t Make Sense

For decades we have made deposits in our “faith account” We believe in storing up faith more than anything else for future times of need. There will be times for all of us when we need to “withdraw from our faith account.” April 11, 2001 Doreen and I had finished preparations to travel in a motor home, and preach in support of God’s purposes for Israel. It was the final day of our rental house and we would drive away the next morning. As I positioned the motor home for the last minute loading, it caught fire which jumped to the wooden porch of the home and within minutes the whole house was burning. It was a total loss. As the firemen fought the 40 foot flames, Doreen and I watched (with a hundred of our closest friends and neighbors). Doreen leaned over to me and said: “I’m sure glad I wore my comfortable shoes.” And I was just thinking to myself: “Wow Lord! I didn’t see that coming. What are You going to do now?” Honestly, we had some sort of real supernatural faith withdrawal from the transcendent grace and peace of the Holy Spirit of God.

Some of our friends said we were in shock and it would hit us the next day. When it didn’t, they said it would be the next week or month. Well, it has now been over 11 years and it still hasn’t hit us. Yes I boast, but not in our faith, but in God’s faithfulness. We actually experienced what I call “peace that doesn’t make sense.” We should have been in shock. We should have panicked or collapsed or had any other normal reaction. But we did not. We had peace. Thank you Jesus! The Apostle Paul said it another way:

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Last year, my good friend Doug Walton, shared a gem from the Hebrew text of this verse:

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

One would be right to assume that “peace” here is the Hebrew word “shalom”. What I did not know before Doug shared, was that the word “perfect” is also “shalom” in the Hebrew text. The concept of perfect peace is really shalom-shalom, or shalom squared! So the perfect peace (that doesn’t make sense in the human circumstance) is really a double shalom from our loving Heavenly Father, right at the time we need it most. Hallelujah!

When we face tragedy, reversal, uncertainty or anything unexpected, we stand at that choice again of two roads as mentioned in the introduction of this book. Do we choose LIFE in Jesus or self-will? Do we stick with Him or deny Him in blasphemous rebellion? Joshua said it best for all generations:

And if it seems evil unto you to serve Yehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yehovah. Joshua 24:15

So then, we will walk by faith, live by faith and stand in faith. It takes courage to stand in faith in the face of insurmountable odds. Yet, as someone said: “You and God are not a majority, you have a monopoly.” Paul reminded the Romans that if God was for them, no one could stand against them. I do not diversify my Heavenly hope; my total trust is invested in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel. All my eggs are in one basket. Mohammed Morsi’s Wife

One year and one week ago we learned of the scandal of Rep. Anthony Weiner who is now disgraced and out of office. But the real revelation of that story was about his wife, Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s Chief of Staff. It was the subject of my commentary then and is reprised below for your information.

However, there is breaking news now about a major connection between Huma Abedin’s mother and the new Egyptian President’s wife, Umm Ahmed. Both women are in the top 63 leaders of the Muslim Sisterhood, according to multiple reports. Walid Shoebat broke it first in his blog.

The question then arises as to a type of conflict of interest for Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Watch her proclamations about Egypt. Coupled with President Obama’s insistence that the MB attend his Cairo speech in 2009, no wonder this Administration has embraced the Brotherhood in Egypt. This is one to watch.

I will not comment on the sins of former Congressman Anthony Weiner. The text above is enough said. However, in our sympathy for his new bride expecting their first baby, something has come to light that is not about immorality, but ideology. Walid Shoebat, a Christian ex-Muslim, has just reported that Huma Abedin, the offended wife, is more than simply the loyal “right hand woman of Hillary Clinton”. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was educated in Jedda, Saudi Arabia from age two to eighteen. Her father was an Islamic scholar of Indian descent while her mother is originally from Pakistan.

The plot thickens with the revelation that her mother is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Saudi Arabia, according to Arabic news sources cited by a former Palestinian Liberation Organization operative. Walid Shoebat, an ex-Muslim Brotherhood activist in the Holy Land, translated sources that say Huma Abedin’s mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, a professor of sociology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, belongs to the Sunni movement’s women’s division known as the Muslim Sisterhood. One of the Sisterhoods aims, reportedly, is “to spread the Brotherhood’s ideology by infiltrating universities, schools and homes.”

120 Invisible Rockets

If you have to explain the punchline of a joke, it probably isn’t funny. That is Israel’s second problem when they are attacked with 120+ rockets in three days. The first problem is that the Western media did not cover it. I watched several major news channels in the US over the three days with not even the slightest report. This is how 120 rockets in three days become invisible.

But back to the second problem for Israel. When three days go by without proper news coverage, it is easy to blur the cause of the outbreak. That is where my analogy of needing to explain a joke applies. Hamas is able to claim that Israel is the aggressor simply because there is no timeline established. This week’s attacks started with a terrorist attack over the border from Egypt’s Sinai into Israel that killed one worker in Israel. Only then did Israel defend itself by a counter attack into Gaza. Without proper press coverage, Hamas makes claims that Israel started it, forcing Israel into “explaining the punchline”.

Then, the international media has a field day reporting Israel’s action without context. Now Israel again has to “explain the punchline”. Reuters offers a classic example of my point. After virtually no coverage in the two previous days, they finally have this headline and story on Wednesday: “Israel Kills 2 Gazans as fighting enters third day”. The story tells of Israel killing them as they are riding a motorcycle, as if they were just out for a drive. You have to keep reading five paragraphs into the story to hear that they were the ones who killed the Israeli worker on Monday. The story says 20 rockets were fired on Wednesday when the actual number was 70. They fail to mention the total of 120+ rockets since Monday’s incident provoked Israel’s defensive response, as reported by The Times of Israel site. Another example comes from the BBC, reported in the Israel Hayom news site.

BBC: Hamas admits Gaza child was killed by Palestinian rocket Palestinians first blame Tuesday’s death on Israel Air Force strike, but a Hamas official later attributes incident to Palestinian rocket fire • Despite this credible report, Chinese and French media report child died in “mysterious” blast.

A Hamas official has admitted to the BBC that a Gaza child killed on Tuesday died as a result of Palestinian rocket fire, and not from an Israeli strike. While this is not the first time Gazans have been killed by misfired Palestinian munitions, the admission, made to BBC Gaza and West Bank Correspondent Jon Donnison, is unusual in its rarity.

Since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, terrorists have fired over 8,000 rockets into Israel. Over one million Israelis are currently under threat of rocket attacks. Let us pray this Psalm for Israel’s deliverance in the name the God of Israel, Yehovah, and in the powerful name of Jesus, His Son; Yeshua ben Yehovah!

Egyptians Against Egyptians 2.0

Newsflash: 80 Rockets Fall on Israel in last two days – Hamas unleashed by Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian victory (my comments later this week)

Chaos is engulfing Egypt following the presidential election won by Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Although the military candidate, Shafiq, also claims victory most reports agree that Morsi won. Last week the courts disbanded the new MB dominated parliament which was confirmed Sunday by the military leaders. Some called the actions a military coup by the military. No matter who is officially declared the winner tomorrow, the other side will likely riot in the streets. We truly have reached the prophesied point of God’s Isaiah 19 actions.

Behold, Yehovah rides on a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt; the idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, and the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; everyone will fight against his brother,  and everyone against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.the spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel,  and they will consult the idols and the charmers, the mediums and the sorcerers. and the Egyptians I will give into the hand of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” Says the Lord, Yehovah of hosts.The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and dried up. They are willing to sacrifice the Arab Muslims for the advance of Islam.

February 1, 2011  – The Heart of Egypt Will Melt with Fear

Egypt has entered meltdown. It cannot be reversed. There are certain prophetic events which when once started will follow through to their inevitable end. Jesus spoke of the events in play at His Second Coming as similar to the birth pangs of childbirth. They have begun all over the earth, but especially in the Middle East. Only two weeks ago I wrote of dominoes falling. Little did I know in my intellect what was about to break out in Egypt. It is always about hatred of God at the bottom line. It will come back against Israel. Satan needs Egypt in his big Psalm 83 push against Israel. Their peace treaty must be broken to prepare for the destined Psalm 83 war. Yet the plans of man and devil will melt away before the presence of Yehovah.

February 19, 2011 – The Muslim Caliphate and The Psalm 83 War: The Domino Theory Ends Here

We are now seeing the dominoes falling at a dizzying pace. Where will it lead? Where will it stop? The final result will be the resurrection of the Islamic Caliphate. The entire Islamic Empire will be revived from Indonesia to Morocco, and from Turkey and the “stans” to the Sudan and Somalia. This will transpire in just a few years.

Radical Islam is above all else a spiritual movement. By this I mean that it is a political ideology on steroids. If Communism was not godless it may have conquered the world. Ideas are not enough. But ideas with fanatical allegiance to an apocalyptic deity will indeed threaten the entire world.

July 3, 2011 – Radicals Rising Leads to Sunset Over Cairo

Entire generations of young Muslims have been taught from pre-school to hate and kill Jews and Christians. That is when they were radicalized, not between weeks four and five of the Egyptian revolution (or fill in any other Muslim revolt). Koranic basic doctrine teaches that chaos and destruction are the means of overthrowing the infidels or as in Egypt’s case, the apostate Westernized Muslim states. The fundamental Islamic prophecy of the last days requires chaos and destruction to usher in the final Caliph and conquest of the whole world.

Lovers of Death

For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from Yehovah; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death. Proverbs 8:35-36

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

What a contrast between life and death is presented in the Bible. Could there be real people today who hate God so much that they love death? The answer, sadly, is yes. My point is clearly made by Hamas, in the Gaza Strip. Hamas speaks for all fundamentalist Islam in the following quote from Hamas leader, Fathi Hammad, in this speech:

“The enemies of All-h do not know that the Palestinian people has developed its methods of death and death-seeking. For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel, and so do all the people living on this land. The elderly excel at this, and so do the mujahideen and the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children, the elderly, and the mujahideen, in order to challenge the Zionist bombing machine. It is as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: “We desire death like you desire life.” (Click for video)

This is the product of the Hamas culture of death. It is the opposite of the heart of the God of Israel.

For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!”  Ezekiel 18:32

Egypt Descends

Three weeks from now Egypt will elect the Muslim Brotherhood candidate for President. This completes the descent of Egypt from a functional member of the international community of nations to a pariah nation lined up for the Biblical prophecy fulfillment of Psalm 83. They will participate in that regional war in which Israel expands from the river of Egypt (the Nile) to the great river Euphrates in northeastern Syria.

Who is Mohammad Mursi? The MB presidential candidate, and predicted winner of next month’s election, is totally committed to the Muslim Brotherhood whose motto is:

– All-h is our objective.
– The Prophet is our leader.
– Qur’an is our law.
– Jihad is our way.
– Dying in the way of All-h is our highest hope.

Mursi is committed to Sharia Law in Egypt. Mursi is reported to have answered a question about freedom of religion: “People have the right to leave Islam and we have the right to kill them.”

Egyptian cleric Safwat Higazi introduced Mursi at his May 1 campaign rally: Mursi will restore the “United States of the Arabs” with Jerusalem as its capital. Millions of martyrs march toward Jerusalem.

As someone said, the “Arab Spring” doesn’t lead to democracy, it leads to Jerusalem.

Mohammed Mursi’s view of the peace treaty with Israel: underlined the necessity for his country’s rapprochement with Iran and other Muslim states, stressing that Egypt will no more be an Israeli ally.

What does this mean for Egypt’s future? The entire chapter of Isaiah 19 is now coming into fulfillment. We need to be aware of this passage. Yehovah, God of Israel, will set Egyptians against each other, brother against brother. The destruction of Egypt under “a cruel master” will be complete. Even the Nile River will dry up!

“And the Egyptians I will give into the hand of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, Yehovah of hosts. The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and dried up. The rivers will turn foul; The brooks of defense will be emptied and dried up; The reeds and rushes will wither. Isaiah 19:4-6

In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of Yehovah of hosts, which He waves over it. And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of Yehovah of hosts which He has determined against it. Isaiah 19:16-17

Yet, there is good news for Egypt’s future beyond this horrible time. Egyptians will turn to the God of Israel and be saved!

In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by Yehovah of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction. In that day there will be an altar to Yehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Yehovah at its border. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to Yehovah because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. Then Yehovah will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know Yehovah in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to Yehovah and perform it. And Yehovah will strike Egypt, He will strike and heal it; they will return to Yehovah, and He will be entreated by them and heal them. In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, whom Yehovah of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” Isaiah 19:18-25

(By the way, look how nebulous this passage is with the generic “LORD” instead of His real name, Yehovah, as distinguished from all other gods.)

The President’s Hat

(Today’s guest post is from Bob Jones, a respected prophetic voice. This word resonates with me in our earnest prayers for mercy on our land.)

The President’s Hat Blows Away

The wind of the Holy Spirit will cause the hat of the President to blow away. The cover of the president and his administration will be blown. Then all things done in secret will be cast down and will not stand.

For they sow the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind. (Hosea 8:7a)

The truth is coming forth by the Spirit of God. It is the only thing that will have answers for this nation. It will come forth when we repent like Daniel did for the sins of his nation. The sins of our government will be revealed so repentance can be made and the Lord can release mercy to this nation. America is a great nation and God desires for her to survive. She can only survive when the truth is revealed to the people. This is the year the people will know the truth. If they seek the truth they will find it and the truth will set this nation free.

Nothing is [so closely] covered up that it will not be revealed, or hidden that it will not be known. (Luke 12:2)

The canopy of God is love and this nation must return to its first love. America must repent and return to her first love. When she does God will release His canopy of love to her.

To this I add my own observation that we are fast approaching the great time of decision for America’s Jewish community according to Ezekiel 20.

“As I live,” says the Lord Yehovah, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says the Lord Yehovah.

 “I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am Yehovah.” Ezekiel 20:33-38

Jordan On the Brink

Jordan has banned the Muslim Brotherhood in the Kingdom as a political party. The King is also trying to forge a separation between Jordanians and Palestinians. Psalm 83 comes into sharper focus with Jordan’s latest moves. King Abdullah II is feeling the heat of the Arab Spring. After maintaining a low profile in the year since the Arab Spring blossomed and then exploded in the Middle East, Jordan is now in the cross-hairs of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Jordanian Parliament did not ban the MB by name, but banned all political parties based on religion. This shrewd move cuts off the method of using a different name for the party as the Muslim Brotherhood did in Egypt, naming themselves the “Freedom and Justice Party”. In Gaza, the offshoot slowly became Hamas.

Some 70% of Jordan’s citizens are Palestinians, complicating the King’s dilemna. “In a surprise move, Jordan has decided to revoke the Jordanian citizenship of Palestinian Authority and PLO officials, sources in Amman disclosed Wednesday.” Will the Palestinian flag fly over Jordan?

In 2009, Amman quietly began revoking the Jordanian citizenship of thousands of Palestinians, triggering strong protests from human rights organizations and pro-Palestinian groups around the world. Over the past year, Jordan has witnessed increased demands for reforms and democracy. The “Arab Spring” that has been sweeping the Arab world has prompted thousands of Jordanians to take to the streets every week to demand real changes and freedoms. (Jerusalem Post)

Psalm 83 lists the countries attacking Israel in the next war, including Jordan. Since the King is pro-Western, something will happen to line up Jordan with the confederacy against Israel. This is another step in that direction. The King will do all he can to avoid it, but the Brotherhood will not take this ban easily. Expect more protests and increasing violence against the Kingdom of Jordan in the very near future. Pray for the safety and protection of King Abdullah and his family. He has been a good friend to the West.

In the end, however, it is Yehovah God and His plan that will prevail, as Daniel reminds us:

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness,and light dwells with Him. Daniel 2:20-22

Is G-D L-RD?

First I was ignorant, then I became annoyed. Now I am alarmed. Why do many Jews and some Christians put a dash in the place of the vowels in English words that refer to the God of the Bible? Why do they substitute generic terms such LORD in place of His knowable personal name?

The earthly reason is history. Jews, before Jesus, believed pronouncing the name of God could become blasphemy, so it was banned. I respect their intent and believe they will come around to using His name in the fulness of time, which is soon! (This is actually predicted in the Talmud.) Later, institutionalized Christendom gladly picked up the man-made tradition, intentionally obscuring the Hebrew roots of the faith.

The “under earth” motive is from satan’s wish to defeat Yehovah God and take His throne. He has opportunistically seized the moment today for further confusion through the rise of the false god of Islam. The name of that god is more well-known today than the name of Yehovah. I challenge you to notice the multitude of prophetic references to God “making His Name known” throughout the Bible. If He wants to make His name known, how come so few know His name?

Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name—and his son’s name? Tell me if you know! Proverbs 30:4 NLT

Thirdly, the Heavenly plan seems to be the judgment of God. He has allowed His name to be obscured until now in the appointed last generation. His name has four Hebrew letters expressed in English as YHVH. This personal name of God is used 6,828 times in the Hebrew text. Yet, Jews will not utter it and Christians miss-translate it.

Most Bibles have His holy name simply as the generic terms, GOD and LORD. This is code for YHVH (explained in the Preface of most Bibles) from the translators who must think we cannot handle His real name. These mere titles are written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, and we are supposed to know it is His name. I have an idea. Why not actually use His name? Yehovah! It makes your Bible reading come alive. (I will not quibble with the correct way to say it, Yehovah, Jehovah, or Yahweh. Click here for more.)

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11

If we heard Paul say those names out loud in Hebrew, I believe it would be this: Yeshua ha Meshiach is Yehovah. Jesus, the Messiah, is Yehovah.

Finally, back to G-D and L-ORD. It is time folks! It is time for all Bible believers to start using His personal name. I call for all to prayerfully consider this appeal. Islam is the direct opposing force. What a surprise when folks find out that “the great satan” turns out to be the god of Islam. Choose this day where you will stand. The great cosmic  rebellion from eternity is about to end. We have read the end of the Book and we win! Satan is futilely pulling out all the stops to defeat Yehovah, but has already lost. It was over when Jesus died and rose from grave. His blood satisfied the price demanded by a just God. Jesus’ submission to His Father overcame the self-will model perpetrated by the devil.

The Hebrew Scriptures don’t say “praise the LORD”, they say Praise Yehovah! (Praise Yah!) There are many lords and many gods, but only one true Yehovah. Choose you this day which one you will serve. As for me and my family, we choose to serve Yehovah and Yeshua ben Yehovah who we know as Yehovah the Father and Jesus the Son of Yehovah.

Changing the Subject

Seeing with Elisha’s eyes is the theme and the name of our ministry, Elisha Vision. Man always looks at the outward  while God looks at the heart. We are transitioning from the days of Elijah to the days of Elisha, as explained in my book, Generation LIGHT.

Satan, on the other hand, always changes the subject. Today in America one such example is the great healthcare debate over the Obamacare law, focused on insurance, medicine and money, and government control of each. But, seeing the spiritual scene is the real focus of the believer. What does Yehovah God want us to see?

One of my mentors, Arthur Burt of Wales, turns 100 years old next month. He still travels the world preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He carries a vision for health. Let me explain. Man is looking at healthcare. Christians look at healing, but God is revealing a vision for health.

Do we need healthcare when sick? Sure. Do we believe Jesus can heal us? Yes, we do. But, what if our faith would expand as we grow from “faith to faith” to the degree that we walk in health? What if we could see our way through Yeshua haMashiach (Jesus, the Messiah), to simply be healthy and not even get sick? What a concept!

My prayer is that believers set our sights on the highest vision. Man is three parts: body, soul, and spirit. Most of the attention is on the body and soul, but God gives us eyes to see something far better. I am talking about this life. Of course we will all be healthy in heaven, but God gives us faith for today. Are you with me? It is time to mature our faith.

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then Yehovah answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. “Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:1-4

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17

I see in this last generation, an explosion of faith in true believers. Yes, the world is sinking into a great darkness, but we are arising in the light of the glory of God. Candles are for dark places. The world needs to see light. Both Jew and Gentile will see the light of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The blind must open their eyes in this hour. Wake up! Stand up! Speak up! The Kingdom of God is at hand.

Global March on Jerusalem

Ok, so all the news from Israel is about the Global March to Jerusalem. Prayer vigils were held in the Holy City tonight for the onslaught expected tomorrow, March 30. There are calls from Hamas, Hezbollah, the PLO, most Arab countries, most Muslim countries and many more sympathetic countries and groups around the world. They are calling for one million people to simple walk across the Israel borders, all the way to Jerusalem. About 1500 are even staging a fly in flotilla. What could possibly go wrong? This has been planned for months as in the graphic (seen here) of a poster that is all over the Arabic speaking world.

Some of those are calling for non-violence, but some are for violence. Attempted last year, it ended in a fizzle. We are praying the same happens this time. Israel has made extensive preparations to minimize trouble, but will it be enough? The same old accusations are the basis of the march, which can be reduced to the desire to see Israel disappear.

In a case of interesting timing, this week the Obama Administration refused to call Jerusalem, Israel’s Capital. Was is co-incidental timing or subtle encouragement to the marchers?

How does this fit into prophecy? Surprise, surprise! It comes right out of Psalm 83, both the “tumult” and “that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” But, don’t forget, that the hatred is against Yehovah. They can’t get to God, so they attack the apple of His eye. If you want to know how to pray, then just open up your Bible to Psalm 83 and pray that Psalm! We normally read for devotion, or doctrine, or information; but the best way to read the Scriptures is as an intercessor. Pray for the exact outcome that God has already declared. What a concept!

Fort Hood Double Standard

It has been two and  a half years after the Fort Hood murders of 14 US soldiers and civilians (including a baby in its mother’s womb), and the wounding of 29 in Killeen, Texas. There has been no trial and they are still trying to decide if Major Hasan is sane. Meanwhile, a couple of weeks ago, a US solider snapped in the Afghanistan war zone killing 17 civilians and he is charged with the death penalty. This weekend our government has already paid $50,000.00 for each death which fulfills the requirement of Sharia Law.

What is wrong with this picture? The Muslim psychiatrist in Texas openly called for jihad against America and shouted A–ah Akbar as he systematically shot and killed unarmed people. Meanwhile, Sgt Bales who had a brain injury suffered in earlier combat has been tried, convicted and sentenced by the media in only weeks.

Make no mistake, I am not defending the actions of Sgt. Bales. But where is the justice in comparing the two situations? Isaiah 59 is quite to the point. The whole chapter is good, but here are a few selected quotes.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity. (3-4).

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.Then Yehovah saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; (14-16).

According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; the coastlands He will fully repay. So shall they fear the name of Yehovah from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of Yehovah will lift up a standard against him. “The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” says Yehovah. (18-20).

Israeli Spring

Over 300 rockets and mortars rained down on Israel last week. Why isn’t this news in the Western media? With an on again, off again cease-fire, Gaza is again spreading terror in southern Israel. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Turkey incredibly says: Israel must stop ‘massacre’ of Palestinians in Gaza. We live in an upside down world, where evil is good and good is evil. Yet, Gaza in clearly in God’s focus. There is some unfinished business for Gaza in prophecy.

Thus says Yehovah: “For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7

An important key to understanding Gaza is given in Zephaniah 2:1-7:

Seek Yehovah, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of Yehovah’s anger.

The timing of this prophecy is repeated in verse 2 and 3, as “the day of Yehovah’s anger.” I have often proposed a response to the New Age bumper sticker: “Visualize World Peace.” My alternative bumper sticker is: “Visualize the Wrath of God!” This is not a mean-spirited or fleshly idea, but rather the real order of things. Before we will see true world peace, we will see the judgment of God against violence and evil. Israel will only know true peace when they recognize that Jesus (Yeshua Sar Shalom) is the only real prince of peace. They will surely one day say to Him: “Baruch ha ba hashem Yehovah! – Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yehovah.

Zephaniah 2:5, which identifies Gazans as “Cherethites” is literally: executioners, or assassins! It would seem a simple step to understanding this reference as an ancient way of describing the suicide/homicide bombers of today’s Hamas in Gaza. Remember that “hamas” is not only the acronym for Hamas, but is also the Hebrew word for violence.

Finally, Zephaniah pictures Gaza after the judgment as a place where shepherds tend their sheep and a place for the remnant of the house of Judah.

Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Yehovah is against you, O Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you; so there shall be no inhabitant. The seacoast shall be pastures, with shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; They shall feed their flocks there; in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For Yehovah their God will intervene for them, and return their captives.  Zephaniah 2:5-7

Israel faces a very threatening Spring this year. We speak often about the Psalm 83 War. The judgement on Gaza is very likely a major component. We need to be faithful watchmen on the wall, calling on God to defend Israel His chosen as He fulfills His prophetic word.

Lost In Translation

For some time now I have listened to the voice of Yehovah God regarding a bombshell controversy in the Bible translation business. Here is the issue in a nutshell. Three major translators today are substituting the name of the god of Islam for Yehovah in Bibles intended for Muslim countries in their own languages. Their rationale is to make it more acceptable to their readers. On the surface, it may sound like a good evangelistic plan.

However, if you trick people into reading the Bible by deceiving them about the nature of God, you confuse rather than convert. Many moderns think Islam is some great complex religion, impossible to grasp. Allow me to simplify. The god of Islam is not a father and does not have a son, according to all their holy books and writings. This is indisputable from their own sources. The God of the Bible is a father and has a son revealed in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

What does this conclude? The god of Islam is a different god. Period. Full stop. Selah.

Therefore, we do not “all worship the same god” no matter how many people, how high their place (including pastors and presidents) say otherwise. It really is that simple. You need go no further. You do not need 20 hours of comparative religion classes to “understand” Islam. You need to read your Bible. What part of: “You shall have no other gods before me” don’t you get? Exodus 20:3

The translation deception is only possible, because for millenia translators have refused to translate the name of God, Yehovah, conforming instead to Jewish rabbinic tradition. They substitute the generic LORD (in all caps) for His name. Yehovah is His personal name, mentioned 6,828 times in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. Try reversing the substitution in your own reading. Say Yehovah every time it says LORD. You will open up an artesian well of revelation through Scripture.

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

I will declare the decree: Yehovah has said to Me, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” Psalm 2:7

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:12

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Assad’s Boast

The billboard in the 2006 photo above says: Al–h (the god of Islam) will protect Syria. So there is no mistake about the intent, it is on the old city wall of Damascus. I beg to differ. What we have here is a direct affront to the living God of Israel. The banner includes the picture of Assad, the dictator of Syria. Even dictators get religion when the chips are down. Yet, Yehovah made it quite clear in Isaiah 17 that the time will come when no one will save Damascus, it will cease from being a city!

This message came to me concerning Damascus: “Look, the city of Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins.” Isaiah 17:1 NLT

Assad is not the first arrogant dictator to lose a challenge to the living God Yehovah. At the end of the Age….it comes down to Yehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the living God of Israel against all false gods and philosophies of men. According to the immutable Word of the living God, we will soon see if the god of Islam can protect Damascus. Yehovah is a jealous God and He will have no other gods before Him. Period.

Not unto us, O Yehovah, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. Why should the Gentiles say, “So where is their God?” But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; they have ears, but they do not hear; noses they have, but they do not smell. They have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them. Psalm 115: 1-8

Exercise: For a deeper view of using the name of Yehovah, the one true God, please read Psalm 135 and notice that in only twenty-one verses, the personal name, Yehovah, is used nineteen times. (Of course, it is hidden because it says LORD in all caps, not honestly translating the actual name, Yehovah.) This is nineteen of the 6,828 times His personal name appears in the Hebrew text, but is diluted, obscured and hidden by using the vague terms LORD or GOD which could apply to any god. It is time to use His name again! Yehovah is the name of our God! It is amazing how the Bible comes alive when you make this slight correction in your reading. We do not all worship the same God. Don’t be deceived, brothers and sisters.

No Other Gods!

Most Christians and Jews completely understand and respect the first commandment to have “no other gods” before Yehovah. Yet, many in the Western nations, including America, have opened up their thinking to other gods in the name of tolerance. This makes me want to ask, “What part of ‘no other gods’ don’t you get?”

It is only recently that I have found a more specific prohibition on the subject. You may have noticed by now that I refuse to say or write the name of the god of Islam. It is because the Bible prohibits it! What if we in America or at least believers were to obey the following four scriptures? Notice how the Holy Spirit progressively adds another component to the prohibition with each verse.

Here is the prohibition repeated in FOUR SCRIPTURES!

First, in Exodus: And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth   (Exodus 23:13).

Then, secondly, Joshua adds three more conditions.

You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them, but you shall hold fast to Yehovah your God, as you have done to this day  (Joshua 23:7).

The way a person converts to Islam is by standing in a public place and swearing allegiance to the god of Islam and his messenger, Mohammed. The next step is to serve that god and bow down to it. You have seen many examples of Muslims doing that even in public five times a day. I am ashamed to say that (in April 2009) in a widely publicized picture, President Obama, who professes Christianity, bowed down 90 degrees from the waist to the King of Saudi Arabia, who is the religious custodian/keeper of Mecca.

The third scripture introduces another aspect, blood,  which especially applies to Islam. This blood thirsty death cult delights in the shedding of blood in the name of their god. Hence, we hear the perverse oath proclaimed by every suicide bomber before detonation, that his god is the greatest.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips   (Psalm 16:4).

Fourth, Hosea adds a final point. Not only will we not speak their names, but eventually their names will not even be remembered.

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more   (Hosea 2:17).

Psalm 83:4 highlights an amazing contrast: They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”  Satan does not have an original creative thought in his head. He can only twist and pervert what God says or does. So his plan to remove the remembrance of Israel is nothing more than a copycat idea from the truth that satan and all his false gods face in eternity.

 Now therefore, fear Yehovah, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve Yehovah!    (Joshua 24:14)

Super Bowl Analogy Revisited

My last (guest) post matched the previous highs of visits to this blog commentary site. Such interest deserves this follow-up. Again, I thank Melinda Fuschetto for her article. I have had good comments both pro and con to the analogy, by phone, email and two good ones on the article comment section. What is your opinion? Please comment at the end of this post.

Now the game is history, won by the Giants. The broad picture of the teams and colors and previous game context made an intriguing meditation. If her vision was about the game, the “wrong” team won. However, if the real purpose was to wake up people to the major challenge of this election; then it was quite profound.

One friend emailed a link to the many reports quoting the wife of the losing quarterback in a shameful and profane rant against other NE Patriot team members. The lesson of her outburst is that true American Patriots during this election need to stand in righteousness. The tiny issue of the game is dwarfed by the sober reality of the choice that will soon be made by this nation.

Many voices are saying that this election is the most important in our lifetime. We better get right with God. Believers actually will decide the outcome in two ways.

First, we must once again repent before God (as we did in the late ’70s): If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Notice both the call and the promise are for God’s people to act, to do something!

The end of the Carter Presidency nearly ruined our nation, but for the mercy of God. This year we are facing an even more desperate national condition. We are staring over a precipice that could be the end of the Untied States of America. Socialist, Marxist, Communist and even worse, Islamist forces are clamoring at the gates. Some have already embedded in the highest positions of power in government, media and academia. PRAY! REPENT! and then STAND for righteousness.

Second, God’s people must vote. If we all listen for God’s voice by the Holy Spirit, and then obey His leading in the voting booth; His choices will be elected all up and down the line. When a king rules a nation, that entire nation is judged by the king’s decisions, as in ancient Israel. However, we are not in a monarchy, but a republic. Our decisions combined determine our national destiny.

Finally, of course, the outcome is in Yehovah God’s Hand. We are fast-moving toward the greatest monarchy of Jesus, Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah!

The prophet Daniel got it right:

Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.” Daniel 2:20-21

May God have mercy on our land. What do you think?

Prophetic Super Bowl?

1.  COLORS

I see a battle for our nation.  Both the Patriots and the Giants wear variations of RED, WHITE, and BLUE uniforms.  I also see a political significance in this presidential election year.

2. BATTLE:  PATRIOTS vs. GIANTS

Patriot: 1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion. 2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, especially of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government.

The Israelite “patriots” took their land of promise through battle against the GIANTS in the land!  By defeating the giants, those patriots won their NATION’S inheritance!

David took out Goliath with a stone and cut off the GIANT’S head — a victory for the NATION.  A giant victory for this Israelite patriot, a man after God’s own heart.

The USA has giants that need to be defeated by those who love our country.  We need the army of God to arise in prayer!  Our victory will be determined by whether or not we are men after God’s own heart.  LORD, make us so!

3.  REMATCH

This 2012 Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Giants is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII.  FOUR YEARS AGO, THE GIANTS WON. So in election year 2008, the Patriots lost to the Giants. Obama (giant government) won the election that year…the underdog Giants upset the undefeated Patriots. Likewise, Obama came out of nowhere to win the election.

This 2012 Super Bowl has the same quarterbacks and same coaches, on both teams, as in 2008. And the same political and spiritual/moral battle is being fought again in our nation.

Sadly in July the Patriots’ owner, Robert Kraft, lost his wife to cancer. The players are each wearing a patch with Myra’s initials. Myra means fragrant, as coming from myrrh.  It’s like the Patriots have anointed themselves with myrrh by wearing the patch.  Myrrh = bitter, Biblically: used as incense on the Golden Altar (altar of incense and prayer to Yehovah, located in the Tabernacle Holy Place); used as medicine (related to Balm of Gilead); a spice used in embalming; Magi gift to infant Jesus (the great Intercessor and Healer), and used for PURIFICATION of the bride, Esther :12. The picture we are to see is a fragrance to the LORD, even of the Bride, through PURIFICATION.

Sports commentators call the Giants “late-bloomers” this season. Current political polls show a closer race than expected against Barack Obama.

4.  LOCATION

This year’s Super Bowl will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium, in Indianapolis.  When I see the word, OIL, I think of the anointing.

Lucas means arising to Him.  I personally see the significance of the stadium name, Lucas Oil, as anointing, arising to God.  The imagery of an altar fire reminds us of myrrh and the Golden Altar.

The word “altar” literally means the place of slaughter or sacrifice.  (I have nothing against the Giants football team, but if this is a prophetic picture of the battle for our nation, then I sure hope the Super Bowl sees the giants in our land slaughtered!)

5.  DATE: FEBRUARY 5, 2012

The date is significant also. 5 is the number of grace. 12 is the number of G-d’s government (02/5/2012 = 2+5+2+1+2=12) February means PURIFICATION. Remember, myrrh was used for purification of the bride.  Esther 2:12 It would be His grace and would purify us, too, to have G-d’s government.

6.  SUPER BOWL 46

The number ten (4+6=10) marks the culmination of what came before it and a new beginning. This marks the end of one season and the beginning of another. I confess that I would like to see the Patriots win, as an encouraging sign for the coming elections and for God’s government to be established in the White House.

Will our next season be better, or worse?

The last time the Giants and Patriots met was Super Bowl 42.  4+2=6. Six is the number of man.  I WANT OUR NEXT SEASON TO BE GOD’S GOVERNMENT!

PRAY! It has been TEN years since the terror attacks of 9/11/2001. Are we entering a new season? Many consider 9/11 to have been America’s wake-up call; that the judgment of God was on our doorstep. It was the loud, shaking call to REPENT.  Have we?

Prophetic voices continue to warn of judgment coming to the USA.  Repentance from our wicked ways is in no way complete.  In the past, I have heard Yehovah say: Judgment must still come. Even so, I believe that our nation’s REPENTANCE can lessen the judgment.

And if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.  Jeremiah 18:8 ESV

So are we about to face more widespread and greater judgment?  Or are the prayers of the remnant being heard and answered? It may be both.

As painful as judgment is, it could very well be the answer to our prayers for the nation to return to God.  Even in judgment against a nation, God’s people can be blessed, protected and spared; and even increased.

I pray for GODLY LEADERSHIP for our nation.  I pray for REVIVAL.  I pray MERCY.  But no matter what else I pray, I want the WILL OF GOD above all things — His WILL, HIS WAY, HIS TIMING.

I confess that I would like to see the Patriots win, because I would see it as a sign and would be encouraged for the coming elections and for God’s government to be established in the White House and in the Capitol.

Elisha’s Eyes

There is a major transition underway in the Church. For several decades the emphasis has been on the Elijah anointing of struggle against false gods, and the restoration of Fatherhood. Today, however, we have moved into an era of seeing more clearly in the Holy Spirit dimension, just as Elisha’s servant saw God’s answer in the chariots of fire surrounding the Syrian army. Read the story in 2 Kings 6. My latest book, Generation LIGHT, examines the transition from Elijah to Elisha: seeing what God sees.

Book One the GENERATION Series, was Generation LAST, on why we are now in the last generation of history as we know it. The conclusion expounded Isaiah 60 and the glory of Yehovah given to His people at one of the darkest hours of world history. Glory is expressed some 15 times in the first five verses of Isaiah 60 as arise, shine, glory seen, and even the word light.

Perhaps the most important key word is radiant, found in verse 5. We do not simply reflect God’s glory, we radiate His glory: Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart will swell with joy; Isaiah 60:5.

Jesus is the light of the world. Generation LIGHT reveals His glorious light expressed in supernatural power enabling us to swim against the rising tide of the enemy of our souls. The result is not only survival, but also an overcoming authority: to heal, to save, and to set captives free. This is the day of resurrection power as exemplified first in Elisha, then Jesus, and finally in the last generation, through Israel and the Church. While this book accentuates “seeing” as the prerequisite LIGHT, the GENERATION Series concludes with Book Three, declaring the resurrection power released in this last generation. Generation LIFE is coming this Spring (Lord willing).

Exploits!

Yehovah God let the prophet Daniel see today’s news, over 2,500 years ago. What was Daniel’s revelation about the 21st Century? He was not seeing only destruction, but victory. Many Christians have heard at least something about the great vision of history that God gave to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. It was interpreted by Daniel. God revealed the major kingdoms of history, even including the kings of the last generation. But just look at the result: God’s King and Kingdom fill the whole earth!

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Daniel 2:44

That gives us the big picture, but what about the personal view? How will each believer act in the end times? We have already talked about being children of light, not surprised as the world will be, when Jesus returns as a thief in the night. But Daniel gives us another piece. When the antichrist is in power, He will deceive many by his flattery. Yet this will not be the case for believers who know God.

Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Daniel 11:32

The Hebrew word translated great exploits means function or do. In other words, believers will be able to function when the world becomes dysfunctional with fear and panic at the unfolding events. That is certainly good news and a reason for our hope. We will be watching, sober, awake and functioning even at the worst of times. We have read the end of the Book. Jesus wins! And He lives in us! Christ living in us is our hope of glory.

I am praying that we all see what God sees with “Elisha Eyes” and radiate His glory and His joy! This is the only way to function effectively in today’s dysfunctional world.

The Right to be a Human Shield

Look closely at this cartoon by Dana Summers of the Orlando Sentinel. Notice the terrorist hiding under the burka of the woman. This is an accurate caricature of the actual policy of Hamas in Gaza as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. You can also see it throughout the Muslim world from Egypt to Iran and Pakistan. Muslim terrorists take human shields to a whole new level. There have even been multiple instances of men homicide bombers dressing in burkas to get through checkpoints.

In this country, we worry that gasoline may reach five dollars a gallon. In Muslim lands under Sharia Law, people fear for their lives. Women have virtually no rights or freedoms. My commentary today titled: The Right to be a Human Shield, is because I want to highlight the plight of women in those countries. A second point cries out, however. Where are the feminists speaking out about this women’s rights issue? Liberals and this Administration attack Israel for building houses in their capital city, but are silent about life and death women’s issues in Hamas ruled Gaza and other Muslim areas.

God speaks clearly His judgment of such wickedness:

And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness Against sorcerers, Against adulterers, Against perjurers, Against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, And against those who turn away an alien–Because they do not fear Me,” Says Yehovah of hosts. Malachi 3:5

This is such a contrast with the Christian view:

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Pray for the salvation of many in Islam, that they may see Jesus as the Son of God.

Drill Baby Drill: Now More Than Ever

  1. We have enough oil (as well as natural gas and coal) to become nationally debt free. Consider Steven Moore’s Wall Street Journal interview with Harold Hamm, the Oklahoma-based founder and CEO of Continental Resources, the 14th-largest oil company in America: Mr. Hamm calculates that if Washington would allow more drilling permits for oil and natural gas on federal lands and federal waters, “I truly believe the federal government could over time raise $18 trillion in royalties.” That’s more than the U.S. national debt, I say. He smiles. This was also featured in The Blaze.
  2. We know about offshore and Alaska oil, but the greatest new find is in North Dakota, Montana and Saskatchewan. Although the total amount of oil contained in the Bakken shale could be several hundred billion barrels, the oil is trapped within the shale itself, and is consequently hard to extract.
  3. Environmentalists are doing everything they can to block US drilling. Their agenda is another story, but they are totally dominating the present administration. Part of the solution is to work passionately to elect a President and Congress willing to tap our abundant resources to completely solve both our jobs and debt problems.
  4. The practical solution hinges on the discovery of a new method of extracting oil from shale developed in Israel that is different from the controversial “fracking”  now used. According to Dr. Harold Vinegar, Chief Scientist of Israel Energy Initiatives (“IEI”), the company in charge of the project, Israel may possess as much as 250 billion barrels of oil, nearly equaling the 260 billion barrel Saudi reserves…Vinegar stressed that IEI’s approach to shale oil production is designed to protect the environment and does not involve “fracking” at all, the method most often used today to extract fossil oil and gas from shale.Harold Vinegar, 63, who was chief scientist at Royal Dutch Shell until 2008 explains that he has helped develop a cleaner method of extracting oil shale that is less polluting. This method consists of extracting the oil shale using heat rather than huge quantities of water and chemical which is involved in ‘fracking’. The company hopes to start a pilot by the end of the year to demonstrate that Vinegar’s heating method works and has ‘no negative effects on the environment’. The article adds that the ‘process is not supposed to release any poisonous gases, and the oil produced will be very easy to refine.’
  5. Biblical prophecy predicts Israel will ultimately gain great wealth through the blessings of God. This is seen already with huge reserves of natural gas offshore, and now oil. This explains the motive for the great invasion of Ezekiel’s prophecy:
    Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:  You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’— to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Perspective

This is what Yehovah says —  Yehovah who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is Yehovah: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. For this is what Yehovah the God of Israel, says: You have torn down the houses of this city and even the king’s palace to get materials to strengthen the walls against the siege ramps and swords of the enemy. You expect to fight the Babylonians, but the men of this city are already as good as dead,  for I have determined to destroy them in my terrible anger. I have abandoned them because of all their wickedness.

“Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Jerusalem’s wounds and give it prosperity and true peace. I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel and rebuild their towns. I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion. Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.

“This is what Yehovah says: You have said, ‘This is a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.’ Yet in the empty streets of Jerusalem and Judah’s other towns, there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and laughter. Why Hanukkah?

Happy Hanukkah!

… TO … all my Jewish friends and to all my Christian friends. So, why should Christians celebrate this Jewish holiday? Is it given to us like all the Biblical feasts of Yehovah in Leviticus 23? No, actually it is not. Why then, should we celebrate?

I know two good reasons. First, it has genuine historic significance that changed the course of nations and fulfilled prophecy. My wife, Doreen, wrote a children’s story book called How Hanukkah saved Christmas. Had the Greeks under Antiochus succeeded in killing all the Jews and destroying the temple, Jesus could not have come. You see, He must be born a Jew, a descendant of King David. No Jews left; no Messiah. He also had to come into the temple. No temple; no fulfilled prophecy.

The second reason to celebrate has to do with the traditional miracle oil that was enough to light the temple menorah for one day, but lasted eight days, allowing time to sanctify (or dedicate) new oil. Thus the references to Hanukkah as the Festival of Lights, and Feast of Dedication.

Now it was the Feast of Dedication, and it was winter   (John 10:22).

At Jesus’ last visit to Jerusalem before His death He announced several times, leading up to the Festival of Lights, that He was the Light of the World. That generation and that Jewish culture could make no mistake about what He claimed. That is one reason He was charged with blasphemy. They knew exactly what He meant. He claimed to be the Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah!

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

Finally, today’s Israelis celebrate with nine candles instead of  a regular seven candle menorah. Why nine? Eight makes sense because of the eight-day miracle. But why nine? The ninth one is usually offset a bit and is called the shamash, or, servant/attendant candle. Its purpose is to light the other candles. What a great object lesson for the purpose of Jesus as the Light of the World. He brings the Light of His Father, Yehovah to all who receive Him.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Miracle Baby

An unprecedented event changing the entire course of history occurred in the otherwise simple birth of a miracle baby to the young bride of a common tradesman. The birth was in a small Middle Eastern town with little widespread notice. Nothing before or since that birth compares to the impact on the society and culture of the entire planet. Most of humankind even restarted marking time and calendars. Even though it was nearly 4,000 years from creation, the clock restarted at year one in recognition of this miracle baby.

What was so profound about this birth? Contrary to the common view, it was not all about the later life of that child. The miracle was that this child was the Creator of the Universe formed as an infant and submitting to the indignity and complete helplessness and dependence of living in His mother’s womb for His first nine months on planet Earth. It continued to the inglorious transition through the mother’s birth canal to emerge as an even more helpless newborn with no ability to survive without the loving care and nourishment of motherhood and fatherhood. As He grew physically, He learned the carpenter’s trade from His adoptive father who trained the young apprentice to functionality as a man. Adopted children in our day learn that He was adopted, too. In a sense, all we who believe in Him are adopted as well, into the eternal family of our Heavenly Father Yehovah God.

This is the miracle of Christmas. How did God the Father Yehovah manage to transform His eternal Son into that tiny seed placed in the willing young woman’s womb? That, indeed, is the mystery of God becoming man. It is the incarnation, God becoming flesh. We know more about why He did it than how He did it. In this traditional time of year to remember His birth, we should pause and let the real miracle part of His birth sink into to our inner consciousness, the spiritual part of our being. Take a break from the hectic external pace of this over-commercialized season and just say “Thank you, Jesus, I am very glad you came.”      Selah.

This miracle baby was the Son of God, Yeshua ben Yehovah. He came  for us broken and corrupt sinners, to make the Way to the Father. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the only God Who is a Father. All other gods are impotent imposters.

May you be blessed and thankful as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Messiah during this season and throughout the year.

Israel’s Grape Harvest

Topic One: Grape Harvest There is a great story in Israel Today Magazine for December 5, 2011. Some 250 Christian volunteers wrapped up three months of hard labor in the vineyards of Samaria last week and headed to their home countries to raise enough support to come to the aid of Jewish farmers again next year. The HaYovel Ministry team helped local farmers in communities across Samaria harvest no less than 304 tons of grapes. The assistance is a huge boon to “settler” farmers who regularly see their produce boycotted by a hostile international community.

This is a great example of “getting dirty” to stand with the Israeli pioneers who plant vineyards in Biblical Samaria (called the West Bank by biased media). This is an annual event for seven years now. What a great way to show tangible solidarity with Israel. The volunteers raise their own money to go to Israel for three months to help with the summer grape harvest. God bless them as they participate in the restoration of the land of Israel according to Bible prophecy.

Yehovah has appeared of old to me, saying: ​​“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you. ​​Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt, ​​O virgin of Israel! ​​You shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice. ​​You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria; ​​the planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food. ​​For there shall be a day when the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim, ​‘​Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to Yehovah our God.’ ” Jeremiah 31:3-6

Loose Lips Sink Ratings

The new report out today (from the G-20 meeting November 3) is shameful and embarrassing for President Obama and French President Sarkozy. It highlights the arrogant anti-Semitism of this US administration. It is yet another example of why Obama’s approval ratings are so low in both the US and in Israel.

“I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar,” Sarkozy told Obama, unaware that the microphones in their meeting room had been switched on, enabling reporters in a separate location to listen in to a simultaneous translation.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you,” Obama replied, according to the French interpreter. Yahoo News 11-08-11

There are two shocking observations here. The first is the obvious gut level disrespect for the Prime Minister of Israel. This was not for public consumption, but actual personal opinions of Netanyahu. It is not surprising given the public disrespect shown toward him by our President. However, there is something visceral and unsettling to hear it from his heart, so to speak.

The second shock, as you dig deeper into the story, involves the attempt to muzzle the media. All the reporters who overheard the remarks were asked and consented to signing an agreement to not release the details. Every one of those “journalists” should be fired immediately. Why do they even exist if not to  report the news. Does anyone seriously believe it was not “newsworthy”? They were muzzled because of the “sensitive nature” of the remarks. Hello? Does the attitude of two leaders of the free world matter? When overwhelming pressure is applied for Israeli concessions, is this news? You betcha!

Pray that Israel will wise up and recognize that their so-called allies are only out for their own best interests, not Israel’s. We have read the end of the Book. We know that all the nations are going to come against Israel. It has begun.

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Joel 3:2

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith Yehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. 45 Rockets Hit Israel in 3 Days

What if the headline and story was like this, instead?

45 Rockets Hit El Paso in 3 Days – Rockets fired from Juarez, Mexico land across the river in El Paso Texas with a father of four killed. Drug cartel takes credit. UN, EU and Russia demand the US pull out of El Paso and give up the city  to Mexico as a gesture of peace.

The real story was in Israel, of course, over the past weekend. But what if that scenario broke out on our Mexican border? How would our government respond? It is less clear than in the past. We should put ourselves in Israel’s shoes more often to get a grip on the real human suffering. Civilians die and are wounded, simply because they are Jews. Children and adults suffer trauma more serious than the physical wounds. Israel must stand up to the threat despite international condemnation. In the end Israel will stand alone, especially if the US Administration continues its anti-Israel pressures.

There is some good news however. UNESCO this week voted to admit “Palestine” as a full member. This is ridiculous on the face, simply because there is no country called Palestine. But the good news is that the US State Department is following US Law and de-funding UNESCO at $60 Million, 22% of its budget. Meanwhile, the UN Security Council is now scheduled to vote on Palestinian statehood on November 11. However, they may not have the votes they need. Biblical Zionists need to fervently pray defeat of this new attempt to divide God’s Land.

This is how it looks from Heaven’s viewpoint.

Christian Zionism

What is a Christian Zionist? Since I bill myself as a Voice of Christian Zionists, allow me to expand on what that means. Also, how do Messianic believers fit into the picture? There are sure to be other definitions, but here is mine. As a Christian Zionist, I am a believer that Jesus (Yeshua) is the promised Messiah of the Hebrew scriptures and that God is literally restoring His covenant people, Israel, to their own land in its historic geographical location. I have a literal view of the Bible which says Christians are adopted into Israel. I used to trace my roots back 2,000 years to Jesus. Now I realize my roots go all the way back to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; all the way to Adam at least 6,000 years! The Old Testament is for me, too!

A recent email asked how a person could believe in Jesus and be a Torah observer. It is a valid stand and speaks of someone who takes his faith seriously and is not “sleeping” through life, like many today.

There are two points to make. First, most of Christendom believes the law was done away with. However, that is a misinterpretation. Romans  10:4 is the basis for this error: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Most put a period after law, but Yeshua did not end the law, it still exists and is in full force. It will be the standard by which all are judged at the last Day. The Apostle Paul’s point was not the end of the law, but the end of obtaining righteousness through the keeping of the law. (renewed annually with a blood sacrifice)  Torah observers in Yeshua  keep the feasts and dietary stipulations now, voluntarily, by personal choice. It does not earn them righteousness. But the depth and wealth of revelation of the Torah is now greatly appreciated by sincere believers. By the way, Torah never was limited to “legal codes”, but embraces the heart of God, the love of God, the intent of God to bless His  people.

Secondly, we see the revelation of the name of God to be Yahweh (or Yehovah, as I now prefer). There is a great site by my friend Keith Johnson. Here is the site: http://hishallowedname.com/ The discovery of the Leningrad manuscripts in the 90’s produced manuscripts with about 50 times out of 6,828 uses of the Name where the original vowel points still exist, confirming Y’hovah as the pronunciation. But I digress.) Nehemiah Gordon, a Karaite (scripture believing) Jew, worked closely with Keith. Nehemiah was a prominent scholar working on the Dead Sea Scrolls. He and Keith also have a book proposing that Matthew’s Gospel was originally written in Hebrew.

Finally, I agree with Nehemiah that Rabbinic Judaism errs when they elevate the oral law (and traditions) above the scripture. A Christian Zionist takes the Bible literally wherever possible and hold scripture above man’s opinions. My mission is to call people to wake up, stand up, and speak up. God is restoring His name in our day, to be read and spoken. This is in direct contrast with the rise of Islam’s god who is not a father and has no son; which means the Isa of the Koran is a different Jesus than Paul preached. Israel is being restored in covenant mercy by Yehovah, the ultimate promise keeper. Former gentiles who find Messiah Yeshua will merge with believing Jews (Romans 11) as one new man (Ephesians 2). The return of Jesus is very soon when all will recognize Him in His fullness as Yeshua ben Yehovah (Philippians 2).

And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? Romans 11:23-24

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Ephesians 2:14-18

Last Jew Out of Gaza

Is there a parallel with Gilad Shalit released from Gaza and the Biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah? Some will instantly think I’m crazy, but hear me out. In the Genesis story, God would not destroy Sodom because of one righteous family. His wrath on the wickedness of the city only fell after He had rescued Lot’s family.

The angels said to Lot: “For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of Yehovah, and Yehovah has sent us to destroy it.”    Then Yehovah rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Yehovah out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. Genesis 19:13 & 24-25

So today we celebrate Gilad’s freedom after five years of captivity in Gaza. Hamas brags about their great “victory” and declares the freed prisoners will rejoin the fight. One Israeli is swapped for 1,000 prisoners. What great value Israel places on one life!

But where is God in all of this? Amos, the same prophet who said God would do nothing in the earth without revealing it to His prophetic servants, had this profound word about Gaza:

Thus says Yehovah: ​​“For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, ​​I will not turn away its punishment,​​ because they took captive the whole captivity to deliver them up to Edom. But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, which shall devour its palaces.” Amos 1:6-7

The act of taking captive one Israeli could be the last straw for God’s wrath to be fulfilled on Gaza. Now that Gilad is free there are no Jews left in Gaza. Think about it. If Israel values life at a thousand to one, how much more does the Father of creation value “the apple of His eye?” To those who say God is not like that anymore, simply read Malachi 3:6 For I am Yehovah, I do not change; and also consider: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Ancient Hatred

Contemporary analysis of Islamic hatred of Israel ignores historical context. Pundits seize upon Israel’s “occupation and oppression” of innocent Palestinian “victims” or they opine about the poverty in the Muslim world as the reason for anti-semitic violence. Rarely do they admit the unrelenting history of hatred directed at the Jewish people. Consider this verse expressing God’s final judgement of the Edomites who descended from Esau, brother of Jacob (Israel). This region today is part Jordan and part Saudi Arabia.Another name for Edom was Mt Seir.

A Message for Edom: Again a message came to me from Yehovah: “Son of man, turn and face Mount Seir, and prophesy against its people. Give them this message from the Sovereign Yehovah: “I am your enemy, O Mount Seir, and I will raise my fist against you to destroy you completely. I will demolish your cities and make you desolate. Then you will know that I am Yehovah. “Your eternal hatred for the people of Israel led you to butcher them when they were helpless, when I had already punished them for all their sins.” Ezekiel 35:1-5 NLT

This ancient hatred is evident in an unreported statement by Abbas Zaki, a senior leader of the Palestinian Authority this week. He was caught on video tape speaking in Arabic exposing the true goal of the PA to utterly destroy Israel. A video clip of Zaki’s remarks was translated by MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute, a media watchdog organization that monitors Arabic-language media.

Israel claims that Abbas and numerous other PA Arab officials have made it clear in many ways that the “greater” and ultimate goal has been and continues to be the elimination of the State of Israel altogether, but this was an outright statement to that effect. Zaki made his remarks during an interview on the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera satellite television channel, which reaches millions of Arabs worldwide. He noted that reaching the “greater goal” would be impossible initially, and that revealing it would not be smart: “If we say that we want to wipe Israel out… C’mon, it’s too difficult. It’s not [acceptable] policy to say so. Don’t say these things to the world,” he warned. “Keep it to yourself.” Arutz Sheva, Israel National News. Click for video.

20,000 Missing Missiles

20,000 Heat-Seeking Missiles Reportedly Feared Missing From Libyan Warehouse (Fox News) While you were sleeping, a waking nightmare began. “Matching up a terrorist with a shoulder-fired missile, that’s our worst nightmare,” Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., told ABCNews.com. One of the inevitable effects of deposing Gaddafi in Libya was the loosing of multiple thousands of weapons from his arsenal. These weapons are now finding their way into terrorist hands throughout the Middle East. This even includes Hamas in Gaza as reported by DEBKAfile: Egypt uncovers Libyan SA-24 anti-air missiles and sea mines bound for Gaza.

 The missiles, (link to ABC Nightline video), four to six-feet long and Russian-made, can weigh just 55 pounds with launcher. They lock on to the heat generated by the engines of aircraft, can be fired from a vehicle or from a combatant’s shoulder, and are accurate and deadly at a range of more than two miles.

Meanwhile, back in the Arab Spring, an ominous warning was just issued by the Military leader of the rebels in Tripoli, Libya. Libya’s Islamist groups “will not allow” secular politicians to exclude or marginalise them in the intensifying battle for power in the post-Gaddafi era, the country’s most powerful Islamist leader has said. Abdel Hakim Belhaj, head of the Tripoli Military Council and founder of a jihadi group that was later disbanded, appears to be firing a shot across the bows of liberal, western-backed rivals after negotiations over broadening the rebel administration foundered. Libyan Islamists must have share in power, warns leader.

Naturally, with this ominous development, you would expect the Obama Administration to be all over it. But what is the big warning coming out of the State Department this week? Israel is building 1,100 new homes in their Capital and the US calls it: “counterproductive” and “deeply disappointing.” Yes, that is much more disturbing than 20,000 shoulder fired missiles on the loose. Those “impudent” Israeli’s are trying to build more homes in Jerusalem! Why won’t they do what the Obama Administration demands? Pray courage for Prime Minister Netanyahu to withstand the pressure.

Therefore, shall we trust God or shall we fear? It is our choice. The Bible is full of wonderful promises of His protection. We must pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of God’s people who love the truth. We know that the truth is a person, Yeshua ben Yehovah; Jesus, Son of God. Here is one of my favorite promise passages.

Yehovah is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? Yehovah is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. The one thing I ask of Yehovah—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of Yehovah all the days of my life, delighting in Yehovah’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Psalm 27:1-5 NLT

UN Dance of Futility

You start with 57 Muslim nations voting on any issue against one Jewish nation. Add to that the nations intimidated by Islam. No wonder, as Israeli PM Netanyahu pointed out in his UN address yesterday, Israel is always disproportionately condemned. “And it’s here, year after year that Israel is unjustly singled out for condemnation. It’s singled out for condemnation more often than all the nations of the world combined. Twenty-one out of the 27 General Assembly resolutions condemn Israel – the one true democracy in the Middle East.”

Allow me to clarify the issue highlighting key words. First, Chairman Abbas spoke for the Palestinian Authority demanding unilateral recognition as a state without negotiations. The standard he has always maintained for negotiations involved preconditions to which Israel must agree that threaten the very existence of Israel. Netanyahu offered to meet immediately right there in New York with no preconditions.

Later in the day, the Quartet (UN, US, EU and Russia) called for negotiations to resume in one month with no preconditions. Today, the PA has already rejected the Quartet’s plan, demanding the same preconditions. Yet, remarkably, Israel continued to be singled out by the world for being responsible for the failed peace talks.

Folks, this is not that complicated. The bottom line is clear. Israel wants peace. The PA wants Israel to cease to exist. That is the reason nothing Israel gives up for peace is ever enough. Benjamin Netanyahu once famously stated: “if the Arabs lay down their arms there will be no more war, but if Israel lays down its weapons there would be no more Israel.

Yesterday Netanyahu gave a stark reminder of the threat. “Israel’s small dimensions create huge security problems. America can be crossed by jet airplane in six hours. To fly across Israel, it takes three minutes. So is Israel’s tiny airspace to be chopped in half and given to a Palestinian state not at peace with Israel?”

The following scripture sums up it quite well.

Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise Yehovah, the source of Israel’s life. Look, the little tribe of Benjamin leads the way. Then comes a great throng of rulers from Judah and all the rulers of Zebulun and Naphtali. Summon your might, O God. Display your power, O God, as you have in the past. The kings of the earth are bringing tribute to your Temple in Jerusalem. Rebuke these enemy nations—these wild animals lurking in the reeds, this herd of bulls among the weaker calves. Make them bring bars of silver in humble tribute. Scatter the nations that delight in war. Let Egypt come with gifts of precious metals; let Ethiopia bow in submission to God. Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the Lord. Psalms 68:26-32

All Nations Gather

Today is the opening of the United Nations session in New York. All the nations of the earth gather to verbally attack Israel, creating a state that will be free of Jews. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas insists that the UN unilaterally declare the Palestinian state ignoring Israel and all previous agreements. Israel has appeased and conceded for years based on the Oslo accords of 1993 which are now being totally ignored by the Abbas application for statehood. Prominently featured by the Abbas campaign is a mother of seven terrorists convicted of murdering Israelis. So much for the peace process.

Additionally, the Durban III Conference on Racism is also convening in New York with a similar anti-Israel goal. President Obama indicated he will veto the Abbas effort, but on 9-11 his speech bemoaned countries suffering terrorism without including Israel in his list. believers need to pray that all deception will be exposed before the whole world. Pray for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he speaks to the General Assembly.

I have predicted an inevitable outbreak of violence against Israel, in earlier columns, as a direct consequence of these UN meetings. Either way the votes go, violence will potentially escalate to the Psalm 83 War.

Yet, while the nations gather to oppose Israel, Yehovah God is right on schedule with His purpose to restore Israel in mercy and favor. There will be another gathering of nations to Jerusalem for final judgment according to Joel 3:1-2: “At the time of those events,” says Yehovah, “when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather the armies of the world into the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will judge them for harming my people, my special possession, for scattering my people among the nations, and for dividing up my land.

When the dust settles and the Messiah Jesus comes there will be a permanent gathering of nations spoken of by Jeremiah over 2,500 years ago.

At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of Yehovah, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Yehovah, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. Jeremiah 3:17

Palestine, the State?

Once again, let’s review the historical truth. There has never been a state called Palestine. Palestinians are Arabs, same as Jordan and 22 Arab states. There has never been any nation at any time in history with Jerusalem as its capital, except Israel. Jerusalem has been Israel’s capital for over 3,000 years, even when they were stateless. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the Bible, ZERO in the Koran. The land of Israel has been divided several times. The British Mandate and the San Remo Conference were the original “two state solution” creating Trans Jordan (now Jordan) with 78% of the Mandated Jewish Homeland, as the homeland for the Arabs. Now the United Nations is about to do it again, with a September 23 application by the Palestinian Authority to the UN for a unilateral declaration of statehood. The plot thickens.
