LORD or YEHOVAH?

YEHOVAH

One of the most profound prayers in the Bible for both Jews and Christians is the high priestly prayer, benediction, and blessing in Number 6. Today I want to share the simple but critical necessity of using God’s name in the prayer. Custom dictates using the generic LORD (in all caps), instead of His actual name, Yehovah, which is clear in the Hebrew text. But, does it matter? Yes indeed! The necessity of using His name is revealed in the last verse of Numbers 6, which is never quoted along with the prayer. Notice first, both the added intimacy and power of using the name of Yehovah. Secondly, notice the virtually unknown intent of Yehovah Himself for declaring the blessing and protection of placing His name over us.

And YEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

“YEHOVAH bless you and keep you; YEHOVAH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;

YEHOVAH lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ’

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:22-27

Don’t you think it is time to invoke His real name over His people and receive His promised blessing?

God Will Bless the U.S. x3

Some things are so obvious, so simple, that most people can’t see it right in front of their eyes. Here are three foundational reasons that Yehovah God will bless America. Many naysayers see terrible judgement coming for the United States. They are wrong. We have been talking about sheep and goat nations and we are choosing the righteous path of a sheep nation. I know we are not righteous, but we are on the right path. Here’s why.

Cast your bread – God is faithful to reward the sending forth of the Gospel to the four corners of the earth from this nation. There has never been a country or a people who have sent “the bread of life” out to nations (the waters) as the U.S. has. It is impossible to calculate the money, the missionaries, the equipment, the medicine and doctors that have been cast on the waters. They have sown the love of Yehovah even at the cost of their lives.

Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Ecclesiastes 11:1

Yet 7,000 – We underestimate the power of God in the remnant of believers who have stayed faithful to Yeshua even in the overwhelming evil darkness around us. Yehovah is never concerned about numbers, but faithfulness to Him. If you have one room filled with darkness and the next with just one candle, what happens when you open the door between the rooms? Does the darkness flood in and block out the candle? No, just the opposite, the light floods the room that was dark. It only takes one person of light to challenge the darkness. Yehovah will always use those who are true to Him, and He knows who they are.

“Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:18

Trump/Israel – The third reason that God will bless the United States is for our standing with Israel. We have a strong leader as President who is determined to help support, defend, and bless the nation and the people and the holy land of Israel.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

“Certainly Yehovah does not forsake his people; he does not abandon the nation that belongs to him. Psalm 94: 14-15 NET

“Yehovah loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; they are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.” Psalm 37:28

Yehovah God: #1 Zionist

Let’s start with the heart. God loves Israel and we are in a new day prophetically regarding Israel as a nation. Later I will explain more about the Holocaust, but three years after that horrific event, God turned a page of history from judging Israel to blessing, favoring and restoring Israel. Understanding why He did this is to understand His love for Zion. Most people, even Christians, don’t have a clue about Zion. It has been obscured and maligned. Yet, Zion is a key to grasping God’s choice of Israel.

A hundred years ago, the word Zion was a positive word sung in many of our hymns, like: “We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion; we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.” They named churches, schools, towns, and even a national park after Zion, but not so much anymore. The meaning of the word has been sullied and made into a curse word. Anti-Israel propaganda has changed the public perception of the word. No wonder, when it is now used like this: Dirty Zionist, Zionist pigs, Zionist apes, Zionist liars, Zionist occupiers, imperialist Zionists, and racist Zionists. Whew! With this avalanche of epithets, no wonder the average person is confused. Even within Israel there is confusion. In the 2015 election two liberal parties joined together with a new name: The Zionist Camp. The problem is that they were the party in favor of dividing the land and giving it to Palestinians. A true Zionist knows the land cannot be divided. What a shame that they twisted the meaning of Zionist to gain votes. Fortunately, the Israeli people were not fooled and the real Zionists won in a landslide. We really need to know God’s definition.

Yehovah also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; But Yehovah will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. “So you shall know that I am Yehovah your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.” Joel 3:16-17a

Who is Fair?

Here is a little something to ponder as you unplug from work this weekend.

While raising our three daughters, the question of fairness came up occasionally. Children can be quick to conclude they are being treated unfairly, usually because they don’t get their way. But fairness is not so much a question of what, but of who.

When a parent defends his judgement “…because I say so!” it can fall short, because we are imperfect and can be wrong. However when God defines fairness, He is 100% right, since it issues out from His perfect character of righteousness and truth. If you have an argument with God, the solution is simple; admit that you are wrong and He is right. Turn from you wrong-doing and line up with His will. “Turn (repent) and Live!” is His advice.

“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!” Ezekiel 18:25-32

God has no pleasure in death. Many will die in sin, but it grieves the Father God. He has given us the choice to turn to Him or refuse. He does not force us to repent. That is on us. He provided the way out for us by sacrificing His Son, the Messiah Yeshua to die for us and thus satisfy Yehovah’s righteousness. Therefore turn and live!

Netanyahu to Iranian People

This minute and a half video says it all. Israel’s quarrel with Iran has nothing to do with the people, only the radical religious leaders. The Ayatollah regularly calls for the complete genocide of Israel and the Jews.

Prime Minister Netanyahu touches the perfect tone in this amazing video. We need to pray for the liberation of the people of Iran so they can resume to historic good relationship with Israel.

Within the Iranian backed Gaza terrorists, the call is likewise the genocide of the Jews. Even today, the call is out for more violence against Israeli citizens to commemorate the defeat of the Arabs in the Six Day War. There seems to be no end to the “Days of Rage” for one date or another. In fact, they also have rage on no particular occasion at all, just to give vent to their demonic hatred of the Jews.

In only the last two weeks, over 180 rockets were fired from Gaza at Israeli citizens with the intent to murder. That is 180 attempted murders. Just because they failed does not absolve them of the crime.

How amazing that Yehovah God keeps watching over Israel and protecting them from the satanic intentions of the terrorists. Thank you, Jesus.

“And it shall come to pass that just as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear, let your hands be strong.” For thus says Yehovah of hosts: “‘Just as I determined to punish you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath,” Says Yehovah of hosts, “And I would not relent, so again in these days I am determined to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear.” Zechariah 8:13-15

Lost in Translation…

For some time now I have listened to the voice of Yehovah God regarding a bombshell controversy in the Bible translation business. Here is the issue in a nutshell. Three major translators today are substituting the name of the god of Islam for Yehovah in Bibles intended for Muslim countries in their own languages. Their rationale is to make it more acceptable to their readers. On the surface, it may sound like a good evangelistic plan.

However, if you trick people into reading the Bible by deceiving them about the nature of God, you confuse rather than convert. Many moderns think Islam is some great complex religion, impossible to grasp. Allow me to simplify. The god of Islam is not a father and does not have a son, according to all their holy books and writings. This is indisputable from their own sources. The God of the Bible is a father and has a son revealed in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

What does this conclude? The god of Islam is a different god. Period. Full stop. Selah.

Therefore, we do not “all worship the same god” no matter how many people, how high their place (including pastors and presidents) say otherwise. It really is that simple. You need go no further. You do not need 20 hours of comparative religion classes to “understand” Islam. You need to read your Bible. What part of: “You shall have no other gods before me” don’t you get? Exodus 20:3

The translation deception is only possible, because for millenia translators have refused to translate the name of God, Yehovah, conforming instead to Jewish rabbinic tradition. They substitute the generic LORD (in all caps) for His name. Yehovah is His personal name, mentioned 6,828 times in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. Try reversing the substitution in your own reading. Say Yehovah every time it says LORD. You will open up an artesian well of revelation through Scripture.

Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know? Proverbs 30:4

I will declare the decree: Yehovah has said to Me, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” Psalm 2:7

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. Psalm 2:12

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

What God Did Not Do

John 3:16 is arguably the most famous verse in the New Testament. But why don’t we hear about the next verse? Both reveal God’s desire to save us (and the whole world) from our self-willed selves, from the devil, and from hell. His love is the amazing root of His grace, yet we overlook the profound statement in verse 17.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17

If the doctor diagnoses you with terminal cancer, is he condemning you to death or is the cancer responsible? Likewise, when God offers His Son to die in our place, He is not condemning us to hell. The cancer of our own sin and rebellion condemn us. Jesus came to save us, to give us life. He is the Messiah, the Lamb of God, sent to bear our sin that we could live. He is not the cancer, He is the cure!

In my recent book, Blessing Israel, I made a similar declaration about Israel. Yehovah God did not choose Israel as a means of rejecting the rest of the world, but as His means of saving the Gentiles. From the beginning, His promise has been that those who bless Israel will be blessed. That salvation offer was first spoken in Genesis.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

All the families of the earth! But the nations rejected God and His promised Messiah, and therefore rejected Israel. They became jealous of God’s chosen ones and began a long history of trying to kill the chosen people. Yet, the very reason they were chosen was to bless the nations. How ironic that this was misunderstood and rejected.

Now in this last generation, Yehovah God is restoring Israel to favor and great blessing. Once again Gentile nations have a choice to embrace God’s blessing or reject Him again. It is the dividing of the sheep and goat nations.

All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:32

Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the nations. One cannot accept Jesus and reject Israel or accept Israel and reject Yeshua. The merger has begun.

Glory Hallelu-YAH!

President Donald J. Trump was inaugurated today. Glory Hallelu-YAH! I say that not to honor him but to honor Yehovah God. The six prayers spoken by five Christian leaders and one Jewish Rabbi, were the most ever at a Presidential Inauguration.

Fireworks on the eve of the swearing-in were accompanied by a powerful chorale singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Here is a LINK to the video in case you missed it. Here are two of the stanzas that moved me to tears:

Mine eyes have seen the glory
of the coming of the lord,
He is trampling out the vintage
where the grapes of wrath are stored,
He hath loosed his fateful lightning
of His terrible swift sword,

In the beauty of the lilies

The international (Hebrew) word of praise to the Almighty God, Hallelujah, contains the short form of God’s personal covenant name. Jah, or Yah, is short for Yehovah, which occurs 6,828 times in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament (Tanach). Few know His name because it is nearly always mistranslated as LORD (all caps). It is my sincere belief that Yehovah is restoring His name to His people, both Christians and Jews. Even the Talmud says it will be use again in the Messianic Age. I was also moved to tears by the prayer of Rabbi Hier highlighting the importance of Jerusalem.

The first orthodox Rabbi to give benediction at a US presidential inauguration cited a psalm highlighting Jerusalem at Friday’s ceremony.

Rabbi Marvin Hier — the 77-year-old founder and dean of the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center — said in his prayer for President Donald Trump: “Bless all of our allies around the world who share our beliefs, ‘By the rivers of Babylon, we wept as we remember Zion…If I forget you O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill’ (Psalm 137).” Algemeiner.com

Chief Rabbi: We have God

chief-rabbi-sephardic Last week saw a United States double betrayal of Israel, with the UN abstention and the Kerry speech. Here is the response from the Israel’s Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef:

Israel Chief Rabbi: We Don’t Need America, We Have God Israel’s Sephardic chief rabbi, Yitzhak Yosef, gave a divine response to the Obama Administration’s gross betrayal of the Jewish state last week. “Sometimes, we need to be reminded from above that we can count on no one but our Father who art in heaven,” Yosef told a gathering at the Western Wall. “Even America… forsook us last week at the UN.”

There is a definite move toward God in Israel. Atheism is on the wane, many secular Israelis are turning back to the God of Israel, and some even to Yeshua as Messiah. Even the Orthodox leaders (as the Chief Rabbi above) are declaring God “our Father in heaven” is their foundation and refuge.

We rejoice together for our hope in God. Even here in America, despite the strongest efforts of the outgoing Administration, this nation is poised on the threshold of an historic third great awakening. As we move forward in prayer for 2017, we all should echo the call of the Rabbi to count on no man, but “our Father who art in heaven.”

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Yehovah our God. Psalm 20:7

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek Yehovah! Isaiah 31:1

Jerusalem Embassy Controversy

The United States has Embassies in 167 countries, but in only one country is our embassy NOT in that country’s capital city. Israel is the only one that the United States refuses an embassy in their capital. Our embassy is in Tel Aviv, not Jerusalem. Israel named Jerusalem as its capital in 1950, not to overlook that King David made it his capital over 3,000 years ago. All Jews have considered Jerusalem their capital for 3,000 years, whether they are in the land or scattered among the nations.

The US Congress passed a law in 1995 requiring our embassy be moved by 1999. However, a six month waiver included, allowed the President to waive the mandate. Each President has signed the waiver every six months for over sixteen years. But this year is different. President-Elect Trump insists that he will move our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Most Israelis rejoice with the prospect. Yet, extreme leftists and most nations are in a panic about the move. David Friedman’s nomination as US Ambassador to Israel further confirms Trump’s intention to follow through.

I maintain that the near future will see Israel annexing Judea and Samaria (the entire West Bank). This is the only option for peace. The two-state plan is dead. Hamas is gaining influence over the Palestinian Authority and Israel simply will not allow Hamas to take over the area.

Prophecy is clear that Israel will win the Psalm 83 War as their enemies fight one another. It is the same as the Midianites in Gideon’s day yielding total victory for Israel. Prophecy is also clear about the status of Jerusalem, which is why it is so important for us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This is what the sovereign God of Israel says:

This message concerning the fate of Israel came from Yehovah: “This message is from Yehovah, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. I will make Jerusalem like an intoxicating drink that makes the nearby nations stagger when they send their armies to besiege Jerusalem and Judah. On that day I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock. All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves. Zechariah 12:2 NLT

Is the End Near?

Miracle Message: This amazing picture is from Dollywood in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Terrible forest fires burned thousands of acres in the Southeast with over 14 deaths. At about the same time many major fires burned throughout Israel. In both cases, arson was a cause.

The miracle message is in the photo above. Just one page from the Bible was found near Dollywood burned around the edges, leaving these verses readable.

Joel 1:15
The day of the LORD is near, the day when destruction comes from the Almighty. How terrible that day will be!

Joel 1:19
To you, LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the pastures in the wilderness and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.

Joel 1:20
Even the beasts of the field pant for you because the water brooks are dried up,
and fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

Joel 2:1
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.

Here is the last verse again in the New Living Translation:

Sound the alarm in Jerusalem! Raise the battle cry on my holy mountain! Let everyone tremble in fear because the day of Yehovah is upon us. Joel 2:1

Jesus prophesied many signs would precede the coming of the Messiah. We are seeing such on almost a daily basis. The burned Bible page indicates that the day of God’s judgements are now here. The end is not yet, but is very close. We are fast approaching the end of days and the glorious kingdom of Messiah Jesus, Yeshua ben Yehovah, Jesus the Son of God.

Come quickly, Lord Jesus! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Israel…Is…Real

Once upon a time we could assume that a Jew would naturally support the survival of the Jewish State. Once upon a time we suspected all Christians of being secret antisemites. Well, those days are gone forever! Here’s hoping that President Trump appoints a dedicated Zionist to the post of Ambassador to Israel, and that does not necessarily mean a Jew. (comments by Yaachov Kirschen, Israeli cartoonist who has drawn Dry Bones since 1973)

I have enjoyed the Dry Bones cartoons almost from the beginning. It is such a joy for me to see Mr Kirschen recognizing the major change in evangelical Christendom from replacement theology to openly Zionist. I have never met him, but consider him a true friend, due to the common bond of Zionism. He knows that all Christians are not Zionists, and that it is also true that not all Jews are Zionists. I applaud him for his honesty. Keep up the great work!

On a related point, consider the hypocrisy of one of Israel’s main political parties. They have changed their name from Labor to the Zionist Party; yet, they are anti-Zionist. They are in favor of dividing the land for a two-state solution. (By the way… been there – done that! The land dedicated by Britain for a Jewish state was already divided to create a Palestinian state. That is how we got Jordan. Now they want to divide the land again for another Palestinian state!) The “Zionist Party” is just the opposite. They are co-opting the term to confuse things.

My view is clear. The only solution that will bring peace is annexation of Judea and Samaria (West Bank). As I wrote in a recent blog, if you want your prayers answered, pray what Yehovah God has already said He is going to do.

“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.” Joel 3:1-2

Hashtag ‘Israel is burning’ — used primarily to rejoice in the flames — soars to third most popular worldwide: As brush fires raged throughout central and northern Israel on Thursday, forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate from their homes, an Arabic Twitter hashtag largely rejoicing in the flames soared to become the third most popular worldwide.

Black Friday Means Something Else This Year in Israel While the rest of the world is taking advantage of Black Friday sales, Israelis are trying to keep their country from turning black.

Some reports say that over 600 fires have been started in Israel, more than half by arson. Haifa, a city of 300,000 people, has seen 80,000 evacuated. Other nations have brought in fire fighting planes and equipment to help Israel. Yet, celebration is the response from the Arab world. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Ofir Gendelman, slammed the celebrations on Arabic social media as “despicable fanatic hatred.” The Arabic hashtag “Israel is burning,” which was utilized primarily to express joy over the wildfires that threatened property and life across the Jewish state, was used in over 128,000 tweets as of Thursday afternoon. The most popular hashtag in Cairo was “the Zionist entity is burning.”

A Saudi imam with 16.1 million followers and a Kuwati preacher with 11.6 million followers were rejoicing and saying it was “Allah’s judgment on Israel for the ban on mosque loudspeakers” (see my last post).

What demonic demogogery! How does Israel deal with such unhinged hate? Demagoguery: an appeal to people that plays on their emotions and prejudices rather than on their rational side.

Keep in mind that the demonic darkness of fanatical Islam considers Israel only the “little Satan,” the US is the “big Satan.” As we pray for Israel, remember that we, too, are targets.

Some Arabs Rejoice Over Israel Fires, Others Shelter Victims But worrying to many Israelis is that if indeed the fires represent a new form of Muslim terror, it may be difficult, if not impossible, to fully bring an end to the blazes without a tremendous amount of rainfall. And all predictions are that this will be a very dry winter.

We must pray for rain! For years, I have been appealing to believers to pray for rain in Israel based on God’s promise of restoration. Please pick up the burden to ask for rain. The enemy is now using the drought as a perverse indication that their god is greater than Yehovah. This is one of those prayers that Yehovah will answer, because we are praying according to His Promise.

Ask Yehovah for rain in the time of the latter rain. Yehovah will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

Act of War?

Here is an odd little story to spice up your holiday.

‘Muezzin Law is a declaration of war’ The Palestinian Authority is warning that Israel’s law to ban loudspeakers for the Muslim call to prayer (5 times daily) is an “act of war.” Really? “The Palestinian Authority leadership blasted a proposed law to ban the use of loudspeakers to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer from mosques across Israel, warning that if passed the law would spark a new war.”

Turkey has also weighed in: Turkey: ‘Muezzin Law’ is an insult “Turkish Deputy Prime Minister says law prohibiting mosques from using loudspeakers is an insult to the history of Jerusalem.”

What is wrong with this picture? Well, for starters, many nations already have a loudspeaker ban in place. This includes Muslim nations such as Egypt, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

Secondly, Jerusalem has been Israel’s capital for over 3,000 years. Islam has been around less than half that time.

If I forget you, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget its skill! If I do not remember you, Let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth— If I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy. Psalm 137:5-6

Thirdly, why the double standard? If other countries ban loudspeakers under decibel rules, why can’t Israel?

Other Countries Muffle Mosques, But Israel Cannot? (This a great article from Israel Today, my favorite Messianic site.) “Quite the controversy is raging over Israel’s proposed legislation aimed at muffling the five daily Muslim calls to prayer from local mosques. In recent decades, the call of the muezzin has been amplified by multiple loudspeakers, resulting in tremendous noise pollution starting at 4:30 AM every morning.”

Of course the issue is not the new law, it is an excuse for another accusation against Israel. Her enemies continue to demand the elimination of Israel.

I Voted

I Voted With Stars Clipart

I prayed.

I studied.

I prayed.

I listened.

I prayed.

I debated.

I prayed.

And then, I voted.

I rejoice that Yehovah God is sovereign, and that He is a good, good Father. But, I am not a fatalist. Christians have a responsibility. This is because God created us with the ability to respond. We are accountable to Him for our response.

Fatalism says God does everything and we do not affect the outcome. I beg to differ. My choices directly affect my future. I chose to believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah and God has counted it to me for righteousness. I have made myriads of bad choices and suffered the consequences. My vote is not the end of the world, but at the end of the world I want my choices to line up with God’s will.

Therefore, after due diligence, I voted. Please vote tomorrow if you have not yet voted. The result is certainly in God’s hands, but He expects us to do our part. We will all experience the consequences together.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

Dates and Numbers from God?

Christians are always trying to guess when Jesus is coming. Even Jews are trying to figure when the Messiah comes. Most agree that it is soon. But today I want to share a few historical dates that project profound events for 2017 and 5777, the Jewish year.

500 years ago Martin Luther started the Protestant Reformation in 1517. He was originally convinced that God was favoring and restoring the Jews. (Later, when they did not convert to Christianity, he was so disappointed that he became a serious anti-Semite, (but that is another story).

150 years ago the Jews of Austria and Hungary were emancipated signalling a change that would spread around the world.

100 years ago Great Britain set in motion the legal rebirth of the State of Israel with the Balfour Declaration of 1917.

50 years ago Israel regained sovereignty over the Old City of Jerusalem during the Six Day War of 1967, for the first time since 70 AD.

What about 2017? So we have 1517, 1867, 1917, and 1967. What do you think about 2017? Is it reasonable to guess that Yehovah may be about to do something big for Israel? We just observed the start of 5777 in the Jewish calendar. Some say this is a year of Jubilee. I can’t confirm that, but each of the 50 year points we have mentioned have surely made history.

The United Muslim Nations (sometimes called the UN) is threatening to declare a Palestinian state without Israel’s agreement. Will God allow it? I don’t think so. The nations have already divided the land in fulfillment of prophecy. Now is the time for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

UN Revisionism

UNESCO backs resolution ignoring Jewish link to Temple Mount You can’t make this stuff up. Now the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has voted to make the Temple Mount in Jerusalem a Muslim holy site exclusively. The decision effectively denies 3,000 years of Jerusalem as the Jewish Capitol. It also claims that the Western Wall is Muslim. What foolishness. The tragedy is that much of the world will believe it. The anti-Semitic anti-Israel propaganda has reached new lows for blatant lies and revisionist history.

Prime Minister Netanyahu understandably reacted strongly. Netanyahu called the decision “absurd,” while President Reuven Rivlin called it an “embarrassment” for UNESCO… “To say that Israel has no link to the Temple Mount is like saying that China has no link to the Great Wall or that Egypt has no connection to the Pyramids,” Netanyahu said, adding that “with this absurd decision UNESCO has lost what little legitimacy it still had.” He also said UNESCO was ignorant regarding the Bible, and accused the body of taking part in a “Theater of the Absurd.” What’s next? A UNESCO decision denying the connection between peanut butter and jelly? Batman and Robin? Rock and roll?

Happy 5777 New Year!

Jewish New Year 5777 began Sunday night with the sounding of the trumpets around the world. What will the coming year hold for this planet? With the Jewish year started and 2017 only three months away, storm clouds seems to be everywhere. From Hurricane Matthew, to the US break with Russia over Syria, to the economic crisis, to the major US presidential elections, foreboding signs abound.

But it is not all gloom and doom if you believe in Yehovah God and Jesus, His Messiah Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah. My preference to gloom and doom is doom and va-voom! Zionist Christians along with Jews are observing Trumpets, Yom Kippur and the Feast of Tabernacles. Prophetically, this is the time for repentance, reflection and hope. This is the very season that the Messiah comes, at the sounding of the trumpets (Yom Teruah).

So, don’t lose faith. Don’t look down, but look up. Our redemption is drawing near. Yes, there are clearly predicted prophetic events yet to unfold, but Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. God said He would tabernacle among us! Run to the Rock of Yehovah to find refuge!

Policy or Personality?

“If you want to make America great again, seek the One who made America great the first time.” (Pastor Ken Lawrence),

My brother is pastor of River of Life Church in Sandpoint, Idaho. His statement sums up the heart of Christians everywhere. Our future is bigger than the candidates in the election. Typical politics make it about personality when it is always really about policy. Folks who opposed the leftist policy agenda of President Obama were accused of racism. The same agenda now touted by Hillary draws accusations of sexism. My prayer is that America will wake up to the “wrong track” reality of that agenda.

Democrats will win and democracy will lose, if we are distracted from’ policy. I challenge every believer reading this to consider the stated goals of the party platforms. One is rooted in Biblical values and the other has moved far left. As a Christian Zionist, Israel policy is at the top of my list. On Israel, the Republican Platform is the most pro-Israel in history, while the Democratic Platform is the most anti-Israel in history. But that is only one issue. YES! Pray, pray, pray, but VOTE! It is your Christian duty in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave! Many have fought and died for our voting privilege. Don’t squander it.

The Holy Spirit gave me a verse in February that I first thought was “exposing” Trump. It speaks of pride, arrogance, evil and a perverse mouth. However, I now believe it exposed at a far more insidious evil revealed by the full-throated policy of the Democratic Party. If you are a believer, and you have seriously studied the above chart; can you really vote for their platform? Are you voting for the person or the policy?

Loving Death More than Life

Middle East terrorists boast that they will win because they love death more than life. What a perverse demonic bondage! Pray for their deliverance from the death cult. (Here is another excerpt from my newest book: The Hebrew God Who Has No Name).

Israel’s enemies have no regard for life. Their objective is to completely destroy Israel; they have no concern for their safety, nor the protection of their people. They pursue death. They boast about loving death more than life!

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Deuteronomy 30:19

Yehovah even pleads that they choose life. Yet, they choose death. He gives them the liberty to choose. Yehovah’s longsuffering allows them space to repent. Such is the deep love of Yehovah; and such is the insanity of the enemies of Yehovah who choose death. Walk in the prophetic and choose life.

There are consequences to your choices. Yehovah has promised protection and salvation to those who love Him. Notice that Yehovah does not promise the protection and salvation to all He loves, but only to those who love Him. Some of His promises are conditional on our response. You demonstrate your love for Him by choosing life and keeping His commandments. His love never fails. He loves the worst sinner, and He grieves when they refuse to repent and end up in Hell. Yet, there is a reason for hope. Repent, (which means: “turn around”), Choose life.

Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!” Ezekiel 18:31-32

Wow! This reveals the truth of God’s character. He has no pleasure in death! Yehovah is the God of grace and mercy, the faithful God of love. What a contrast to the god of war and death that is breaking out of the Middle East and threatening the entire world.

Yet, we know that life will win over death, no matter the boasts of the deceived. Jesus is the resurrection and the Life. All who turn from their wickedness will find life abundantly.

Yehovah vs. the god of Islam

There is a prophetic context and timing to restoring God’s Name. We are living in the day of the rise of Islam. The name of the god of Islam is shouted every time a suicide bomber attacks innocent civilians. Although presidents and media pretend we all worship the same god, it is a lie from the pit of hell. The God of the Bible is a Father who gave His Son, Jesus, to die in our place, for our sins. The god of Islam is not a father, and demands that his followers give their sons to die for his evil cause. You will see a stark contrast between the God of Israel and the god of Islam when you start using Yehovah’s Name.

This distinction is obscured without understanding the personal names involved. This was seen in the political realm where the Obama administration for eight years refused to name the terrorist enemy as radical Islam. The resulting confusion effectively hamstrung our defensive and offensive efforts to defeat the Islamist threat. Names matter. If we should name our enemy, how much more should we know the Name of Yehovah God, our Creator and Protector?

Furthermore, why would God’s first commandment warn us about “other gods” if we all worship the same God? Please seriously consider the importance of using the personal Name of Yehovah, the living God of the Bible.

My salvation testimony for many years was meeting Jesus as “my own personal savior”. Now, in recent years, I have also come to know Yehovah as “my personal Father” in a deeper, more intimate way. That is my desire for you as well.

Here is Yeshua (Jesus) in His own words declaring this intimacy with the Father for each of us. He also declares the link between the Father’s Name and His love in us.

“…that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me… And I have declared to them Your Name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:21, 26

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the restoration of Israel.

The Hebrew God Who Has No Name

Revival of Ottoman Empire?

500 Year Anniversary! For several months (here and here), we watched the seismic changes in Turkey. Now a new line has been crossed. This Wednesday (8-24-16) Turkish tanks invaded Syria. This was 500 years to the day, of the Ottoman Turks’ conquest of the Middle East. This led to 400 years of Ottoman rule through the Caliphate based in Turkey.

RecepTayyipErdoğan_(cropped) Ok, so maybe my title is a little too cute? But my topic is quite sober. The rise of Islamism in Turkey this summer and the feeble “coup” attempt has secured Erdogan as the Supreme Leader of the Muslim world.

Early Christendom Ban

Even though almost all original believers in Yeshua as Messiah were Jews, a deadly separation opened up between Jews and Christians. By the time Constantine was Emperor, the animosity against Jews was legalized by decree of the Empire.

Constantine was reportedly quite anti-Jewish. Edicts kept coming from Council after Council for hundreds of years starting around 325 AD. This major separation from Judaism coincided with Constantine simply declaring that the Empire was now Christian. His subjects went to bed one night as pagans and awoke the next morning as Christians! Yet not one of them was born again through repentance and the shed blood of Jesus. The mixture of unbelievers with true believers in Christendom persists until today and is the precursor to the great apostasy (“falling away”).

Eventually, Islam conquered Constantinople and changed the name to Istanbul. The Hagia Sophia Church had been the pride of Christendom for a thousand years from 537-1520 A.D. It was the largest cathedral in the world. The Muslim Ottoman Turks converted it to a mosque until 1931, when secularized Turkey made it into a museum. However, Erdogan has his eyes set on turning it back into a mosque, as part of his Islamization plan.

Islamism Rising in Turkey

The resurgence of Islamic radicalism is now clear in Turkey. The Jerusalem Post predicted this in 2010. It means that the revival of the Ottoman Empire and the restored Caliphate is just around the corner. It is my opinion that ISIS is a premature attempt to revive a Caliphate. If Erdogan were to somehow get credit for solving the ISIS problem, he would be a hero. He could become the real Caliph of most of Islam. Prophetic events are happening at an almost daily pace. Keep your eyes on Turkey. Ezekiel 38 features Turkey and cities in Turkey as the leader of the final great battle of Gog and Magog.

However, Yehovah, God of Israel will again fight for Israel and win.

“And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord Yehovah, “that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am Yehovah.” ’ Ezekiel 38:18-22

The Democrat Bible

Israeli_flag-burning_m Every four years the Democratic Platform becomes more anti-Israel. Why is this? It is a natural result of leftist liberal ideology. It is very clear in liberal churches, which deny the literal authority of Scripture. Once you reject the authority of the Bible, you are on the slippery slope to apostasy. The Bible clearly speaks of Yehovah’s favor on Israel, not only in ancient times, but especially today in the miraculous restoration of modern Israel.

Yet, at this week’s Democratic Convention in Philadelphia we have seen Palestinian flags, and the burning of the Israeli flag outside the arena. Did you see this covered in the media? Probably not. Pay very close attention to both presidential candidates regarding Israel.

Liberal Jewish rabbis have also spoken at the convention, and at interfaith gatherings this week with Muslim imams. Here is an astonishing quote from Reform Rabbi Jonah Pesner, who manages to contradict Scripture 18o degrees, with a statement blaming the historic hatred of Israel from the Amalekites, not on their pagan evil death cult, but on Israel.

“The core teaching is that it wasn’t Amalek who was at fault, it was us, because we, the community allowed there to be stragglers to fall behind at the rear,” Pesner said.

Wow! Isn’t that liberalism in a nutshell? Just to refresh your memory, God judged Amalek to be so evil that they were to be utterly destroyed.

Then Yehovah said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” And Moses built an altar and called its name, Yehovah-Is-My-Banner; for he said, “Because Yehovah has sworn: Yehovah will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:14-16

King Saul’s failure to destroy Amalek left the spirit of Amalek alive to torment Israel ever since. King Saul lost his throne because of the disobedience.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Yehovah, He also has rejected you from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23

Therefore it is critical that we hear, listen and do the word of Yehovah. We need to follow the Holy Spirit now more than ever and we must recognize Jesus/Yeshua as the Son of God and Messiah.

Muslim Scholars declare post-coup Erdogan SUPREME LEADER for the ENTIRE Muslim World

Don’t miss this! While our attention has been on the election and murders of police, an event of Biblical importance was announced in the Muslim world. Turkey’s President Erdogan has been recognized by all Muslim scholars globally. This has just happened this week. Here is the report from Walid Shoebat, an ex-Muslim radical who now preaches Jesus.

After the failed coup in Turkey, a crucial letter of allegiance granted to Erdogan by all Muslim scholars globally was sent from none other than Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, president of the World Federation of Muslim Scholars.

Qaradawi represents all Sunni Muslim scholars globally. He even tweeted some of its contents. The excerpts from this letter was shared in every media in the Middle East. From the Arab world to Turkey, every Arabic speaking media covered it with zero mention in the West. It consists of what many viewed as a direct command from heaven itself to Erdogan declaring that “Allah” including “the angelic host” and “the saints” appointed Erdogan to be given allegiance by all Muslims including all Muslim scholars from all four corners of the globe:

“Allah is with you and all Arab and Muslim nations are with you including all freedom loving people are with you. We, all the Muslim scholars, in the four corners of the globe, are with you. The Angel Gabriel and the righteous one [in heaven] are with you. And after that the angels will be revealed.”

Many commentators believe that Erdogan himself may have faked the coup, in order to impose Sharia in Turkey. But this development seems far more sinister. I have said for several years that this verse in Revelation may apply to Turkey and the “decapitated” Caliphate from the 400 year Ottoman Empire after the first World War. Has the head wound been healed?

And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. Revelation 13:3
Whatever this means, it certainly bears watching and praying. One of the consequences of the failed “coup” is that Erdogan has closed down the airbase that the US uses in Turkey for the bombing of Isis in Syria. This is complicated by the fact that the US has tactical nukes at the location which could fall into the hands of Turkey.

Remember that God is in control and all is right on His schedule. We do not need to fear. Trust in Yehovah God and His Messiah and Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah.

Beautiful New England

IMG_20130905_130046_848 After an enjoyable train ride from North Carolina, we have arrived in Maine for three weeks of ministry including New Hampshire and Connecticut. We are delighted to speak in four churches with 7 or 8 meetings. We are based with our friends Rob & Ruth Brown whose Hospitality begins with a capital H.

The main message the Lord has given me is for faith over fear. The word I received in my May Idaho trip is more needed every day. I preached it last week at New Path Church in Raleigh, NC with the title: “Have You Taken the Mark Yet?”

The Dallas Police murders followed by the Nice, France terrorist slaughter are only the most recent examples of a terrible release of the demonic spirit of fear from the pit of hell. Yet, the Bible is crystal clear:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2Timothy 1:7

Notice that fear is a “spirit,” and it is not from God! Most of the talk this election year has been about anger. But the Lord showed me that anger is only the tip of the iceberg. Underneath the anger is a deep personal visceral fear of what is coming upon us. Believers should not give in to fear, but rather encourage one another in our faith. We are not under the devil’s power. Yehovah God and His Son, Jesus, Yeshua ben Yehovah has all authority and we need only fear Him. Our times are in His hands and the devil cannot kill us without a “hunting permit.” Through the blood of Jesus, the Messiah, we are part of the family of God.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

Does that mean we cannot be martyred? No, it means that if we die, we know we will be raised back to eternal life. Death itself has been defeated! We will live again, just as Jesus died and yet lives!

Declare the life of Yehovah and resist the temptation to fear. Put your trust in Jesus. He never fails.

Pray for One Another

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 NLT

A new phenomenon has emerged in Christian relationships with non-Christians. We are offering to pray for them when they share a need or a hurt. God responds by touching them in such a way that they know He did. It may be healing or they may feel “electricity” or heat or fire in their body. It is a reversal of traditional “witnessing” where we started with their sin and their “lostness” rather than their pain.

This is patterned after the Luke 10 model of first blessing, then fellowship, then sharing their hurts and then prayer. It is at this point, after God acts, that we can share the Kingdom of God.

Speak peace (blessing) – “But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ Luke 10:5

Eat and fellowship – “And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give,” Luke 10:6

Heal the hurts – “And heal the sick there,” Luke 10:9a

Share the Gospel – “say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” Luke 10:9b

A friend in our home group has been praying for people out in the marketplace for several months with supernatural healing testimonies every week. Another friend is spending the summer in Germany sharing Jesus with Muslim refugees and also seeing supernatural results. He has talked to several who have a story of “a man in white” in their dreams, leading to salvation and baptism. Some even experience severe persecutions from other Muslims and their own families.

The key is to pray with them. We all need to offer to pray for anyone who shares their pain and need with us. It is what allows Yehovah God the Father to touch them through Jesus and the Holy Spirit; in a way that opens their heart to His Kingdom.

For King Jesus and for His Kingdom!

Islamophobia-Phobia

Islamophobia-Phobia is a greater threat to freedom than fear of Islam. Without faith in Yehovah, God of the Bible, an ordinary citizen should certainly have a healthy fear of Islam, a sober respect for the danger posed to Western Judeo/Christian civilization by Islamic supremacism. Don’t be deceived. The fundamental doctrine of Islam declared by the Koran, the Hadith and the Sunnah is world domination and conquest. Fundamentalist Muslims really do hate us and want to kill us (if we refuse to convert).

A 2007 world Gallup Poll of Muslims in 35 countries found that a least 7 per cent were totally radical Muslims who justified suicide bombings of infidels. That means of today’s 1.6 billion Muslims, 112 MILLION are “radicalized.”

So, what if you do believe in Yehovah and Yeshua ben Yehovah (Jesus Son of God)? I am not afraid of Islam. Therefore, I am not Islamophobic. My life is under Yehovah’s control. Satan, or Islam, cannot kill me without getting a permit from the God of Israel. My relationship with my Heavenly Father trumps all other considerations.

But there is still a threat from Islamophobia. Who is really acting and making decisions out of fear of Islam? It’s the politically correct crowd. They are AFRAID of offending Muslim sensibilities and thus they cower in fear and submission to the outlandish demands of Sharia compliance. They are truly Islamophobic.

So we may boldly say, Yehovah is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do unto me? Hebrews 13:6

Wisdom starts with the fear of Yehovah and therefore I fear nothing less than His great glory. The fear of the (LORD) is the foundation of all wisdom and peace. And we see this declaration in both the Old and New Testaments. (This verse is quoted directly from Psalm 118:6, therefore we can see that “LORD” is Yehovah.)

Yehovah is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:6

One more lie to expose involves who is the target of most religious persecution. A 2014 Pew study concluded that 58% of incidents were against Jews, followed by Hindus. Attacks on Muslims by other religions is a myth. By far, the worst attacks on Muslims are by fellow Muslims.

Please substitute Yehovah for LORD in the following quote for the true meaning.

Let those who fear the LORD now say, “His mercy endures forever.” I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. Psalm 118:4-9

Still Redacted, Still Deceiving

The Justice Department reversed itself after releasing the Orlando 911 calls, but still deceived Americans with the new version. They still refused to include the most critical word, “Allah”. Why is this so important?

The cornerstone of Islamic propaganda to the West is a lie about words. They (especially the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR) have convinced the gullible West that the name of the God of Islam is not a name at all, but just an Arabic generic word for god. This is a lie from the pit of hell. From this foundational lie comes the more familiar lie: “We all worship the same god.” Muslims know full well the name of their god.

The Orlando mass murderer was heard by everyone present to repeatedly yell the infamous phrase: “Allahu Akbar!” The translation from Arabic is that the god of Islam (by name) is the greatest. It is absolutely not “God is great,” even though the media and the last two Presidents claim that it is. I have detailed all of this in my book, Simple Islam.

Yehovah, the God of the Bible and of Jews and Christians, is a Father. The god of Islam is not. Yehovah, the God of Israel, has a Son. The god of Islam does not. End of story. Most of the confusion about Islam in America comes from this basic lie. We are clearly warned to not allow other gods. The god of Islam is a pagan desert moon god that was promoted to “the only god” by Mohammed. I conclude with my classic question. What part of “no other gods” don’t you get?

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3

“And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth.” Exodus 23:13

Obama’s Unknown Language re: Orlando

“It appears that the shooter was inspired by various extremist information that was disseminated over the internet.” President Obama on the Orlando bloodbath. ABC NEWS 6-13-16

Some speak in generalities by ignorance, others by intention. President Obama intentionally obscures meaning by speaking generalities. He has perfected the “art form” of speaking without saying anything. Consider his explanation of the Orlando shooter’s motive. While this might be an effective tool of discussion in a philosophy class, it is unhelpful from the leader of the free world.

Even lifeless instruments like the flute or the harp must play the notes clearly, or no one will recognize the melody. And if the bugler doesn’t sound a clear call, how will the soldiers know they are being called to battle? It’s the same for you. If you speak to people in words they don’t understand, how will they know what you are saying? You might as well be talking into empty space. 1 Corinthians 14:7-9 NLT

This Scripture is about speaking in tongues without interpretation, but the logic is the same. Where is the clear trumpet sound from our leaders? No wonder the nation is so angry. Recently, I heard the Lord say that anger is on the surface, but the real emotion is a deep visceral fear gripping many. Even President Roosevelt said: “The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.” That was clear and to the point. This President won’t even name the enemy.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT

We should always pray for our leaders, and especially in this election year. Here is the Bible definition of a Holy Spirit leader, referring to the Messiah. Let’s pray for this Spirit for our leaders.

And the Spirit of Yehovah will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yehovah. Isaiah 11:2 NLT

First Fruits of Shavuot

fig This coming Sunday, Jews around the world celebrate Shavuot, which Christians call Pentecost. It occurs exactly 5o days after Passover. What is the embedded meaning in this singular summer feast? With three Spring feasts and three Fall feasts, how is this one unique for both Jews and Christians? Last week Jerusalem Day was celebrated in Israel, marking 49 years since its liberation and reunification through the Six Day War of 1967.

But this week hearts turn to the majestic march of the history of the Jewish nation. It speaks of Yehovah’s choosing and blessing of Israel, as a means to bless all the nations of the earth. Judaism teaches that God gave the Law of Mt. Sinai on Shavuot. The Bible clearly teaches the feast as the first fruits of the wheat harvest. The Book of Ruth is usually read at this time since it took place in the wheat harvest and tells the beautiful love story of Boaz and Ruth. King David was their great-grandson.

Shavuot was also the first day on which people could bring the Bikkurim (first fruits) to the Temple in Jerusalem. The first fruits were brought from the Seven Species for which the Land of Israel is praised: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and dates.

For Yehovah your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless Yehovah your God for the good land which He has given you. Deuteronomy 8:7-10

“And it shall be, when you come into the land which Yehovah your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that Yehovah your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where Yehovah your God chooses to make His name abide. And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, ‘I declare today to Yehovah your God that I have come to the country which Yehovah swore to our fathers to give us.’” Deuteronomy 26:1-3

So, we see that Israel became the first fruit nation of Yehovah at Sinai. But also in His sovereign timing, Shavuot/Pentecost was also the exact day that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the first fruits of the early church. This would lead to the whole world being blessed through the seed of David, the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jesus/Yeshua had to be a descendant of King David to qualify as the Promised Messiah. He Himself was the first fruit from the dead and He poured out the Holy Spirit after ascending to His throne at the Heavenly Father Yehovah’s right hand. Blessed be His holy name forever!

When is a Martyr NOT a Martyr?

FACT #1: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and killed American tourist Taylor Force in Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, Israel on March 8. He also stabbed 11 others including the wife of the murdered American student from Vanderbilt University.

FACT #2: Israeli police shot and killed the terrorist murderer. They refused to return the body to the Palestinian Authority (Israel’s supposed “peace partner”) until the PA agreed to not treat the terrorist attacker as a “martyr.”

FACT #3: The Palestinian Authority did not honor the agreement. Masalha’s funeral was attended by hundreds of chanting mourners, and was given priority coverage by Palestinian Authority TV. During the televised event, the PA TV news anchor praised Masalha as a “martyr” no fewer than 11 times. Israel Today

FACT #4: Here is the Official Palestinian Authority TV video statement.

Official PA TV newsreader: “In Qalqilya, hundreds of citizens accompanied the body of Martyr Bashar Masalha [to his burial]…”
Official PA TV reporter: “After delays by Israel in the transfer of his body, Martyr Bashar Masalha’s family, from the village of Hajja, east of Qalqilya, received their son in the evening… The Martyr Bashar returned from Qalqilya to his village Hajja in a procession… His family, friends, and people of the region took it upon themselves to ensure that this [burial] would be a large national wedding (i.e., to the 72 Virgins in Paradise) befitting of Martyrs… The Martyr was accompanied to his last resting place in the cemetery for Martyrs in Hajja…”

Funeral participant: “Despite the delays by the Israeli side transferring the Martyr’s body… the PA did everything it could and applied national and political pressure to the other side so they would transfer the Martyr’s body. Despite what they (i.e., the Israelis) did, the Palestinian will prevailed and we received the Martyr’s body…”

Official PA TV reporter: “Martyr Bashar Masalha, 22, ascended to Heaven in Jaffa on March 8 [2016] (i.e., he was shot after killing US tourist)… He returned and was embraced by the soil of his homeland as a Martyr.”

When will America wake up to the lying propaganda from the Palestinian Authority? We must continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The true peace will only come when the Messiah Yeshua returns.

So the nations shall fear the name of Yehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. For Yehovah shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, and shall not despise their prayer.

2,500 Year-old Prophecy for Today

The prophet Daniel wrote over 2,500 years ago at the end of the Babylonian Captivity. He heard from God, and the word applies today. The Lord spoke to me this morning from a song written by my old friend, Ron Aldridge, years ago. from Daniel, chapter 2. I can still sing parts of it, although I think he has forgotten it himself. It comes from the King’s dream that only Daniel could interpret. As you know, it was a vision of world history and the great empires.

This part is often overlooked for the dream, but contains great revelation for today. Daniel was thanking God for giving him the answer. Today we are on the verge of the last great prophetic season change.

Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

Daniel answered and said:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,

For wisdom and might are His.

And He changes the times and the seasons;

He removes kings and raises up kings;

He gives wisdom to the wise

And knowledge to those who have understanding.

He reveals deep and secret things;

He knows what is in the darkness,

And light dwells with Him.

I thank You and praise You,

O God of my fathers;

You have given me wisdom and might,

And have now made known to me what we asked of You,

For You have made known to us the king’s demand.” Daniel 2:19-23

There is so much in these verses. First, he blessed God for His wisdom and might. Then Daniel lists seven things God does. Each is so profound it will explode in your spirit if you let them soak into your core. To save space, I underlined each action verb.

Changes Times and Seasons – I believe we are at the final turning point of history. In the United States, if you thought the election has been wild, fasten your seat-belt. Greater turbulence lies ahead. We are entering a new un-chartered season. Yet, we do not fear. Daniel ends his prayer of thanks with an amazing declaration. The attribute of God that Daniel began with is now his! “You have given me wisdom and might.” Wow! If God had not answered, Daniel and all the wise men of Babylon would have been executed.

The season is changing, but God is with us. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. Ask big things. Expect big answers. Yehovah, God of wisdom and might, shares His with us! Might is deadly without wisdom. Make sure to pray for both. Pray for our leaders and this election season, but know that there is a greater season upon us.

Yehovah God is Faithful!

London Buses: Glory to Pagan god

As I leave for an Idaho ministry trip, thought you might find this interesting. London has elected its first Muslim Mayor and critics are calling it Londonstan. Some areas of the city are over 50% Muslim.

Separate from this, but coincidental is a new ad campaign on London buses that say: Glory to A-lh, using the name of the god of Islam, as you can see in the above photo. It is happening faster than you think!

All this while the U.S. is arguing over who can use the ladies restrooms and showers. Maybe there should be a course in our schools about the rise and fall of Rome. We are on the same path. God bless Governor McCrory.

Yet, all is not lost. Jesus is still on the throne. Millions are still coming to the Messiah, including Muslims. Praise the Lord! Keep faithful to Yehovah God and His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah.

Ezekiel’s Dry Bones and the Holocaust

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom haShoah) for Jewish people, and all who hold sacred the memory of Six Million Martyrs to Hitler’s genocide. It is a sober day in Israel and around the world for many. We all should pause and reflect and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Recently, a prominent New York Rabbi called for Jews to leave America and return to Israel for the catastrophe coming to the U.S. (see Wars and Rumors of Wars).

Ezekiel 37 refers to a valley of dry bones that has been seen as pointing to the return of Jews to Israel from exile.But I want to suggest a more literal take on Ezekiel’s dry bones vision. (I have a deeper look at this in my book, Generation LIFE, chapter 11: Holocaust Resurrection.)

3 Questions

Where, geographically, is the valley located that Ezekiel saw? Is the resurrection of the bones literal? What is the purpose of the “exceedingly great army”?

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Ezekiel 37:9-10

Now, the traditional understanding of this passage is to the general last-day return of Israel to the Land. The reference (bolded) of a great army could refer to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). They have become a force to be reckoned with in the Middle East. That surely applies, but what if God were to literally raise the Holocaust victims from the dead, and supernaturally make them an actual physical army for the last battle?

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am Yehovah, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, Yehovah, have spoken it and performed it,” says Yehovah.’ ” Ezekiel 37:11-14

One thing clarified by this second quoted section is that the valley of dry bones was not in Israel. I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. What would be the prophetic timing of such a miracle purpose? We can only speculate, probably at the Second Coming, when Jesus arrives to deal the final defeat of the anti-Messiah forces. What a glorious and victorious battle it will be, especially to those who had suffered such ignoble desecration in their deaths.

I do not insist on this interpretation, but what if….?

The Hebrew God Who Has No Name

The Hebrew God Who Has No Name is the title of a brand new book that I am co-authoring with my good friend John Fisk (available mid 2016). Here is an overview of our goal to help restore the practical usage of God’s covenant Name.

Our title comes from the classic movie, The Ten Commandments, starring Charlton Heston as Moses and Yul Brynner as Pharaoh. The Pharaoh, who worships many gods, mocks Moses as bringing “the Hebrew God who has no name.” However, the opposite is true. Moses was sent to declare the personal name of God as clearly seen at the burning bush, in the Hebrew text.

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘Yehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” Exodus 3:15: ESV

Yet, amazingly, almost no one knows His Name. In practice, He really is the Hebrew God who “has no name”. Christians have many books and even posters that list “the names of God.” However, all those names are descriptions of His character and power. Very few Christians or even Jews know the name, Yehovah. And if they don’t know it and use it, certainly the rest of the world has no clue to His personal name. Does it matter?

The holy personal Name appears in the Hebrew text 6,828 times!The Name is Yehovah, sometimes pronounced with variations such as Jehovah, Yahweh or Yahowah. We will use Yehovah. We explain why in a later chapter. This has been obscured because the translators follow an old Jewish custom of saying LORD instead of the Name. Translators change Yehovah to LORD (all caps). You will be amazed at how Bible revelation opens up as you begin to use His Name. Our aim is to convince you to use His Name in your everyday relationship with Him.

Today, our planet is as lost and enslaved as the Hebrews in Egypt, and once again Yehovah God is revealing, restoring and declaring His name. Please follow along our journey of rediscovery as we find not only the truth of His name, but the purpose of using His name in the 21^st Century.

Israel: Light to the Nations

Here is my vision. This is why I publish commentary on the internet via my blog and my weekly YouTube prophecy update. Jesus is the Light of the world, and He has made us light individually, but He has always purposed that Israel be a light nationally. A main point of my new book, Blessing Israel, is that God chose them to model His Kingdom to the world, to draw the world into relationship with Yehovah God. He did not choose Israel as a means of excluding all the nations, but as the means of saving everyone who believes in Him.
