There’s a lot of talk about light and darkness these days, but did you know you carry the light inside? Many believe that we reflect the light of God. But that is not what the Bible teaches. The light is inside us! One of my favorite revelations is in Isaiah 60. Of course, it literally applies to the last days’ restoration of Israel, but is also true of all true believers in Yeshua, including us former Gentiles who are grafted into Israel spiritually.
Look at the many mentions of various words signalling the LIGHT of God’s glory that dwells inside us as believers. (Emphasis mine.)
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But Yehovah will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:1-5
You will become RADIANT! Not “reflective.” The light is inside! I like to say that when we come into a group of people with unholy, demonic spirits, the demons cower instantly because they see the blinding light of God. It is not visible to the natural eye, but it is real. So, why do we fear? Why are we insecure? The glory of God shines from within us. The devil fears the LIGHT.
Now, read it again and notice the personal pronouns “you” and “yours” packed into just five verses (although it continues in further verses). This is the promise of those who walk with the Living God and His Son, Jesus!
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon you.For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But Yehovah will arise over you,And His glory will be seen upon you.The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you;Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:1-5
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works IN US, Ephesians 3:20

Delivered From Darkness to Kingdom Light
12 04 2023Here are a couple of thoughts today about the nature of Yehovah God contrasted to the empty despair of Satan’s domain. God and Satan are not equal but opposite adversaries. The devil was originally an angel created by God, but he wanted to be God. His selfish ambition brought him down, literally. So, I have two points.
Notice that Satan has authority in the “domain of darkness,” but he does not have a kingdom. The word domain is related to dominion and domination. He rules by fear, force, and intimidation. Our Father God, on the other hand, has delivered us from that domination to the beautiful Kingdom of His beloved Son, Jesus. His is a voluntary Kingdom. He is a servant King. He rules by love and forgiveness and acceptance.
You may not have thought about this, but why is there no shadow of turning with God? A shadow is caused by something blocking a light source. However, God Himself is Light. He is the light source! He will never cast a shadow because He is light Himself.
Now go back to the first verse above. He has “qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” He has delivered us, from the crushing domination of Satan to the shining Kingdom of His Son. We have moved from darkness to His Light. Hallelujah!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and wisdom from above for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Also, pray for rain and thank Him for the late Spring rains the last few days.

Why do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the explanation in my book: The Hebrew God Who Has No Name. And here is a link to a great visual from my friend Keith Johnson.
