There’s a lot of talk about light and darkness these days, but did you know you carry the light inside? Many believe that we reflect the light of God. But that is not what the Bible teaches. The light is inside us! One of my favorite revelations is in Isaiah 60. Of course, it literally applies to the last days’ restoration of Israel, but is also true of all true believers in Yeshua, including us former Gentiles who are grafted into Israel spiritually.
Look at the many mentions of various words signalling the LIGHT of God’s glory that dwells inside us as believers. (Emphasis mine.)
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But Yehovah will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:1-5
You will become RADIANT! Not “reflective.” The light is inside! I like to say that when we come into a group of people with unholy, demonic spirits, the demons cower instantly because they see the blinding light of God. It is not visible to the natural eye, but it is real. So, why do we fear? Why are we insecure? The glory of God shines from within us. The devil fears the LIGHT.
Now, read it again and notice the personal pronouns “you” and “yours” packed into just five verses (although it continues in further verses). This is the promise of those who walk with the Living God and His Son, Jesus!
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon you.For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But Yehovah will arise over you,And His glory will be seen upon you.The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you;Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isaiah 60:1-5
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works IN US, Ephesians 3:20

Preaching at Home This Week!
12 11 2021After a wonderful time in Idaho speaking four times, it is good to be home. This Sunday at 11am it is my honor to speak at Wake Forest Grace Assembly of God. Last Sunday I spoke at Cocolalla Cowboy Church on the subject of the Abraham Accords and Elisha the prophet of God. We need to see with the eyes of the Holy Spirit and not succumb to fear. If God is for us, who can be against us?
I will share a modified version of the same message this week. If you are in the Raleigh area, I invite you to join us. Doreen and I have been blessed to be part of the fellowship at Grace Assembly of God when not traveling or ministering in other local churches. The Lord Jesus has been especially moving in life, healing, salvation, and encouragement there this summer and fall. Pastor John and Sherry Thrift radiate the light of God’s glory. This is God’s end time purpose for every believer.
This is the literal promise to Israel, but we who have been grafted in through the blood of Jesus share in the promises. Hallelujah!
I am also excited to announce that Michael Masambu of Kenya will be in the area from Nov. 27-Dec. 6 and will speak, Lord willing, at New Path Church in Raleigh and Grace Assembly in Wake Forest, as well as smaller groups through the week. Please be in prayer for the moving of the Holy Spirit in all of these gatherings. Thank you.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for rain as Israel enters the rainy season.

Why do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the explanation in my book: The Hebrew God Who Has No Name. And here is a link to a great visual from my friend Keith Johnson.
