London Buses: Glory to Pagan god

As I leave for an Idaho ministry trip, thought you might find this interesting. London has elected its first Muslim Mayor and critics are calling it Londonstan. Some areas of the city are over 50% Muslim.

Separate from this, but coincidental is a new ad campaign on London buses that say: Glory to A-lh, using the name of the god of Islam, as you can see in the above photo. It is happening faster than you think!

All this while the U.S. is arguing over who can use the ladies restrooms and showers. Maybe there should be a course in our schools about the rise and fall of Rome. We are on the same path. God bless Governor McCrory.

Yet, all is not lost. Jesus is still on the throne. Millions are still coming to the Messiah, including Muslims. Praise the Lord! Keep faithful to Yehovah God and His Son, Yeshua ben Yehovah.

Ezekiel’s Dry Bones and the Holocaust

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom haShoah) for Jewish people, and all who hold sacred the memory of Six Million Martyrs to Hitler’s genocide. It is a sober day in Israel and around the world for many. We all should pause and reflect and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Recently, a prominent New York Rabbi called for Jews to leave America and return to Israel for the catastrophe coming to the U.S. (see Wars and Rumors of Wars).

Ezekiel 37 refers to a valley of dry bones that has been seen as pointing to the return of Jews to Israel from exile.But I want to suggest a more literal take on Ezekiel’s dry bones vision. (I have a deeper look at this in my book, Generation LIFE, chapter 11: Holocaust Resurrection.)

3 Questions

Where, geographically, is the valley located that Ezekiel saw? Is the resurrection of the bones literal? What is the purpose of the “exceedingly great army”?

Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ’ ” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Ezekiel 37:9-10

Now, the traditional understanding of this passage is to the general last-day return of Israel to the Land. The reference (bolded) of a great army could refer to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces). They have become a force to be reckoned with in the Middle East. That surely applies, but what if God were to literally raise the Holocaust victims from the dead, and supernaturally make them an actual physical army for the last battle?

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am Yehovah, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, Yehovah, have spoken it and performed it,” says Yehovah.’ ” Ezekiel 37:11-14

One thing clarified by this second quoted section is that the valley of dry bones was not in Israel. I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. What would be the prophetic timing of such a miracle purpose? We can only speculate, probably at the Second Coming, when Jesus arrives to deal the final defeat of the anti-Messiah forces. What a glorious and victorious battle it will be, especially to those who had suffered such ignoble desecration in their deaths.

I do not insist on this interpretation, but what if….?

The Hebrew God Who Has No Name

The Hebrew God Who Has No Name is the title of a brand new book that I am co-authoring with my good friend John Fisk (available mid 2016). Here is an overview of our goal to help restore the practical usage of God’s covenant Name.

Our title comes from the classic movie, The Ten Commandments, starring Charlton Heston as Moses and Yul Brynner as Pharaoh. The Pharaoh, who worships many gods, mocks Moses as bringing “the Hebrew God who has no name.” However, the opposite is true. Moses was sent to declare the personal name of God as clearly seen at the burning bush, in the Hebrew text.

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘Yehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” Exodus 3:15: ESV

Yet, amazingly, almost no one knows His Name. In practice, He really is the Hebrew God who “has no name”. Christians have many books and even posters that list “the names of God.” However, all those names are descriptions of His character and power. Very few Christians or even Jews know the name, Yehovah. And if they don’t know it and use it, certainly the rest of the world has no clue to His personal name. Does it matter?

The holy personal Name appears in the Hebrew text 6,828 times!The Name is Yehovah, sometimes pronounced with variations such as Jehovah, Yahweh or Yahowah. We will use Yehovah. We explain why in a later chapter. This has been obscured because the translators follow an old Jewish custom of saying LORD instead of the Name. Translators change Yehovah to LORD (all caps). You will be amazed at how Bible revelation opens up as you begin to use His Name. Our aim is to convince you to use His Name in your everyday relationship with Him.

Today, our planet is as lost and enslaved as the Hebrews in Egypt, and once again Yehovah God is revealing, restoring and declaring His name. Please follow along our journey of rediscovery as we find not only the truth of His name, but the purpose of using His name in the 21^st Century.

Israel: Light to the Nations

Here is my vision. This is why I publish commentary on the internet via my blog and my weekly YouTube prophecy update. Jesus is the Light of the world, and He has made us light individually, but He has always purposed that Israel be a light nationally. A main point of my new book, Blessing Israel, is that God chose them to model His Kingdom to the world, to draw the world into relationship with Yehovah God. He did not choose Israel as a means of excluding all the nations, but as the means of saving everyone who believes in Him.

Passover: Life or Death?

Passover 101 Tonight, millions of Jews and Christians all around the world begin celebrating seven days of Passover, remembering a critical turning point of history. After 400 years of Egyptian slavery, God’s chosen people were freed to establish the nation of Israel in the Land chosen by Yehovah God.

The story of their deliverance and the ten plagues will be detailed in each Passover meal this week, but I want to focus on the macro view. Yehovah revealed how He planned to deal with sin. Ever since the Fall of Adam and Eve, we all were born with a sinful, selfish nature. One way to satisfy God’s justice was destroy all the wicked and start over.

Original sin: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

The wonderful news is that He had a better way to satisfy the justice demand of a death for a death. He first gave an animal sacrifice in blood to cover our sin, one year at a time, renewable on the annual Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. However, this only covered our sin. The permanent solution was to offer His only begotten Son, as the “Lamb” of Yehovah God. This blood sacrifice was so pure, so Holy, it washes us clean, and holy, and righteous: blameless before God! Hallelujah!

We tend to think of the death of the firstborn in Egypt as the main message of the Exodus story, but I submit to you that the main point is the LIFE that was given to the Hebrew slaves. Any Hebrew family that put the lamb’s blood on their doorpost was spared. But if any Egyptian family believed what Moses said from God, they also would be spared. But, Pharaoh hardened his heart and refused God’s offer. The salvation from death was for all who believed. The same is true today. Any single person who believes in Jesus as the Lamb of God will have his or her sins forgiven and granted eternal life in fellowship with Father God and His Son, Yeshua the Messiah!

As I said in my newest book, Blessing Israel, God did not choose Israel as a means of excluding all the nations, but as the means of saving everyone who believes in Him. So, is the main theme of Passover, death? Or, is it life? The choice is yours.

UN Vote Friday to Condemn Israel

We are now at a critical crossroad in the US/Israel relationship. This week two profound and very negative choices face the Obama administration. One is the Golan issue on the Israel/Syria border. The other is at the United Nations.

This Friday the Palestinian Authority is pushing a vote in the UN Security Council against Israel. They last tried in December 2014 and could not get the nine yes votes to pass it. This time they have the votes. The only way to defeat it is with a US veto; and President Obama is threatening and intimidating Israel with the suggestion that he may not veto the resolution.

Judgement Day – Will The US Turn It’s Back On Israel At Friday’s UN Vote? This week the Obama Administration joined with Russia in a plan to force Israel to give up the Golan Heights to Syria. Israel annexed the Golan in 1981 because Syria used it to fire rockets down on northern Israel. This is an ominous development that exposes the sinister Obama hidden agenda to punish Israel for Prime Minister Netanyahu’s refusal to knuckle under US pressure to force a two-state solution.

Netanyahu: We Will Never Surrender Golan Heights Israel’s Cabinet convened its weekly meeting atop the Golan Heights on Sunday so that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could pointedly inform the world that, in light of the current situation in the region, there is no chance Israel will ever return the strategic plateau to Syrian control. United States ‘doesn’t consider the Golan a part of Israel‘ State Department spokesperson rejects Netanyahu’s comments that the Golan will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty. US and Russia Team up to Seek Israel Pullback from Golan DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources and its sources in Moscow report exclusively that Israel’s top political leaders and military commanders were stunned and shocked last weekend when they found out that US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to support the return of the Golan to Syria. The two presidents gave their top diplomats, Secretary of State John Kerry and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the green light to include such a clause in a proposal being drafted at the Geneva conference on ending the Syrian civil war. Good News Update

End of the Book – We Win!

“At the end of the day…” is an overused expression designed to close an argument. However, there is a much greater expression for believers: “I have read the end of the Book, and we win!” But, if someone asked you to show them the verses that settle the eternity question, what would you quote? The truth is that there are many verses that speak of our final victory from Genesis to Revelation. I offer this one from the Book of Daniel as a little change of pace encouragement for your day today. I have taken out the parts about the anti-Christ to emphasize the great and glorious news that follows the ultimate defeat of the enemy.

I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. (v-9-10)

I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed. (v-13-14

I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. (v-21-22)

But the court shall be seated, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it forever. Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him. (v-26-27) Daniel 7

Baal Worship in NYC and London

Today is a serious subject: the rise of Baal worship around the world.

When ISIS destroyed the pagan temple of Baal in Palmyra, Syria, it was viewed as the destruction of “world heritage.” I get that, but something unexpected resulted from that event. A major demonic principality seized the opportunity to go global. In a consequence comparable to opening Pandora’s Box, something very evil is emerging. Now don’t misunderstand me, we should not fear, but find the position of faith and prayer war to resist and counter what Satan intends to do.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

The seemingly innocuous story was announced in the New York Times on March 19, 2016:

NEXT month, the Temple of Baal will come to Times Square. Reproductions of the 50-foot arch that formed the temple’s entrance are to be installed in New York and in London, a tribute to the 2,000-year-old structure that the Islamic State destroyed last year in the Syrian town of Palmyra.

The Institute of Digital Archaeology is the organization behind this effort, and the display of these two arches is intended to be the highlight of UNESCO’s World Heritage Week late next month. Charisma News

It has also been characterised as a gesture of defiance against religious extremists’ attempts to erase evidence of the Middle East’s pre-Islamic history. The Guardian

The plot thickens when you learn the date the arch will rise in NYC and London. April 19 just happens to be the beginning of one of the most important occult/pagan holidays of the year:

April 19 is the first day of the 13-day Satanic ritual days relating to fire, the fire god, Baal, or Molech/Nimrod (the Sun God), also known as the Roman god, Saturn (Satan/Devil). This day is a major human sacrifice day, demanding fire sacrifice with an emphasis on children. This day is one of the most important human sacrifice days, and as such, has had some very important historic events occur on this day.” Prophecy News Watch

I appeal to you to read the full details at the links provided. This no small matter. As I said at the top, we do not fear. We are responsible to pray and stand against the schemes of the devil. An arch is a gateway; and the devil is trying to claim admittance to our land. We must resist. The earth belongs only to Yehovah and to Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). The plan is to plant hundreds more of these arches in major cities all over the world! Please take this soberly and pray resistance.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore… Ephesians 6:10-14a NKJV

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground… Ephesians 6:10-14a NLT

The Cheeky Candidate

Today we have a “words are fun” segment. I was trying to think of a word to describe a certain candidate for President. I will not mention his name. See if you can guess. One word jumped out, so I looked up the meaning and found it became a thread connecting two other words that also seemed to capture the spirit of this candidate.

CHEEKY: rude and showing a lack of respect

insolently bold: impudent

IMPUDENT: failing to show proper respect and courtesy: very rude

lacking modesty
marked by contemptuous or cocky boldness or disregard of others: insolent

INSOLENT: rude or impolite: having or showing a lack of respect for other people

insultingly contemptuous in speech or conduct: overbearing
exhibiting boldness or effrontery

(This string of definitions are from Merriam-Webster).

Many Christians are being deceived by this candidate whom they celebrate for his “cheeky” words. In fact he is praised for “punching back” when he is offended. I simply ask you this. Is that the Christian, or even civil way to communicate with one another? Both the Old and New Testaments agree on a better way.

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

Jesus said: You have heard that it was said, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. Matthew 5:38-39

Global Jihad and Esther: Serious Analysis

Dozens dead today in Brussels. At least 34 dead as explosions rock Brussels airport, metro Terrorists again attacked innocent civilians, this time in Brussels, Belgium. A news analyst opined that civilian targets were chosen because military targets are harder to attack “because they are hardened” and soft targets are easier. This is not why. Civilians are attacked because the goal is terror, not military conquest.

The Esther Solution: This week, Jews all over the world celebrate Purim, the great victory over their enemies in the Book of Esther. The basis of their win was simple: self-defense. The King had issued a law allowing the execution of all Jews. Esther’s famous story “for such a time as this” and “if I perish, I perish,” resulted not in reversing the law, but in a new degree allowing the Jews to defend themselves. What a concept!

Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king’s command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them. The Jews gathered together in their cities throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus to lay hands on those who sought their harm. And no one could withstand them, because fear of them fell upon all people. And all the officials of the provinces, the satraps, the governors, and all those doing the king’s work, helped the Jews, because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them. Esther 9:1-3 (You should read this short Book of Esther this week for Purim.)

What does this have to do with global jihad? Europe is one big “gun-free zone.” Citizens are not allowed to defend themselves. Believe it or not, the solution is not simply a 2^nd Amendment argument. This Esther principle is the global solution for nations. Israel (as usual) is the classic example. Their correct justification for military action is that they have a national right and a personal right to defend themselves. Their enemies also attack civilian soft targets. The difference in Israel, is that they fight back. In the United States we still have the 2^nd Amendment, although it is seriously undermined, but Europe is defenseless.

The goal of Haman in Esther was the death of every Jew. That is the same demonic principality unleashed today. Only now, it includes Christians, and by extension, the Western free world. Are you willing to stand up for Israel today? We are in this together, make no mistake.

Time to Annex Judea & Samaria (aka West Bank)

There is a time for everything under the sun, according to King Solomon:

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

It is time to annex Judea and Samaria which the world calls the West Bank. The Oslo accords have failed. The two-state plan has failed. The Middle East is on fire with the Muslim Brotherhood taking over another state every few months. Arab citizens of Israel are the only Arabs enjoying freedom, peace and liberty. Most Palestinians would be far better off as citizens of Israel. The fumbling obstinate dictatorship of Abbas is no solution. And if he achieved Palestinian statehood, he would be immediately overthrown by Hamas. It is time for Israel to act proactively. Many Israeli’s are ready for a bold solution. Even leaders in the government and the Knesset are speaking openly about annexation.

Deputy Transportation Minister MK Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) said on Sunday that it was time that the Israeli government take steps to annex Judea and Samaria, even if it comes with the price of giving citizenship to Arabs residing in these areas. Speaking to Arutz Sheva, Hotovely said that offering citizenship to Palestinian Authority Arabs would be a small price pay for ending the status quo which brings international criticism of Israel, viewed as an “occupier” in Judea and Samaria. Bayit Yehudi head, Economics Minister Naftali Bennett, said Monday that the idea of establishing a Palestinian state has reached a dead-end and should be forsaken. “Never in the history of Israel has so much energy been invested in something so pointless,” Bennett said at a conference on the Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria and their depiction in the media. (INN 6/17/2013,)

Op-Ed: Annexation: Should Israel Make Her Move Now? by Ron Jager in Israel National News. In recent weeks and months, public leaders and leading journalists affiliated with the settlement movement have called for annexing and incorporating all of Judea and Samaria into Israel. In response to the chaos and weakness of the Arab nations surrounding Israel and the preoccupation of the Western world with the ongoing genocide in Syria, they claim that now is the time to be proactive and go on the offensive and do what will be inevitably done anyway probably under less favorable conditions for Israel. At the same time as these discussions President Bill Clinton visited Israel this week in what I can only call a flashback to 1993. He is lost in the past of his dream of the Oslo accords. Under the headline: Clinton: Israel Must Make Peace or Disappear,Breitbart.com reported: In a speech that will no doubt incentivize Palestinians to continue their campaign of terror and warfare against Israel, former President Bill Clinton told Israel that it would have to make peace with the Palestinians if it wanted to remain Jewish and democratic. (See Palestinian reaction here.)

Even as far back as April 2011, the idea of annexation was gaining momentum as seen in this story about two members of Knesset and a bill proposing annexation.

MK Danon preparing bills to annex West Bank, repeal Oslo Accords; move intended to convince EU to stop UN vote on Palestinian statehood. Ideas about annexing parts of the West Bank that until recently were considered extreme have been gaining traction in the Knesset in recent weeks as the Palestinian Authority continues threatening to declare a state unilaterally in September. National Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau raised the idea at Israel Beiteinu’s convention in Jerusalem two weeks ago. (Jerusalem Post 4/26/2011)

It is time for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria politically, demographically and most important prophetically.

And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. Ezekiel 37:22

I wrote this article June 24, 2013, almost three years ago! Then, there was a trickle of interest in annexation. Today, the idea is catching on throughout Israel. Even liberals are now seriously considering the idea. The two-state plan is dead. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Ancient Perpetual Hatred of Israel

This week Iran fired two test missiles with the words (in Hebrew) “Israel Should be Wiped Off the Earth” painted on the sides of the missiles. Is this new or unique to history? Of course not! Hitler used similar language, even comparing the annihilation of the Jews as “exterminating rodents”. But it certainly did not start with Hitler, either. Consider this verse written by Ezekiel over 2,700 years ago. Notice that he considered it “ancient hatred” even then!

“Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to an end, therefore, as I live,” says the Lord Yehovah, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue you.Ezekiel 35:5-6

The King James version calls it “perpetual hatred.” So what is the source of this relentless quest to destroy God’s beloved Israel? It is Satan himself. He hates Yehovah, but cannot touch Him, so He attacks the apple of God’s eye, Israel. This is clear in Psalm 83.

Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Psalm 83:1-4

Satan’s goal is that Israel be forgotten. Where did he get that idea? I have said many times that the devil is not creative. He does not originate, he can only pervert what already exists. Here is where he got the idea to wipe Israel off the map.

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more. Hosea 2:17

Through Hosea, God was telling Israel’s future, that their worship of false gods would end. They would return to the living God of Israel, and the pagan gods’ names would be forgotten. Satan stole the idea of “wiping from memory” from Hosea’s prophecy. Satan didn’t have a new idea, he just perverted the eternal plan of Yehovah God.

So therefore, I don’t put much stake in Iran’s threats. They are just another in a long list of attempts to destroy Israel that will fail. I choose to stick with the faithful promise of Yehovah’s word.

Thus says Yehovah, Who gives the sun for a light by day, the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, and its waves roar (Yehovah of hosts is His name): “If those ordinances depart

from before Me, says Yehovah, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.” Jeremiah 31:36:37

Voting Guide for Believers

I am not impressed so far with the so-called evangelical voters. They are all over the map and quite confused. What is the source of their decisions in this primary season? How about you? It is decision time in many states with early voting (as my state of North Carolina). I have prayed earnestly for wisdom from above.

An Election Self-test for Bible Believers.

Do you pray before you vote? Or: Separation of church and voting booth? Invite Jesus into your voting booth. Really. Ask God for whom you should vote.
Are you motivated by the flesh or the Holy Spirit? Look at the occasion of Jesus rejected by the Samaritans: And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” Luke 9:54-56
What is in your heart? The question is not like the commercial: “What is in your wallet?” But, what is in your heart?
Are you voting for David or Saul? When Saul was King, man was King. When David was King, God was King. He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” Acts 13:22
What would Jesus do? WWJD Jesus is the servant king (like David). Does your candidate have a servant’s heart?
Beware the leaven of the Pharisees and of Herod This is a longer teaching, so let me summarize. Pharisees had a religious spirit which was self-righteousness. Herod had a political spirit which was self-interest. Both are very bad, don’t go there with your vote.
Are you for justice or mercy? Be careful how you answer. There is a great clamoring for justice today. Do you understand what our nation justly deserves: immorality, corruption, blasphemy, killing our own babies? Put it this way: Do you want God to give you exactly what you deserve? Or do you choose mercy and grace? Pray for mercy and vote accordingly. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:6-7

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2

When someone tells me they saw a good movie, I ask them: “Do you mean good, in the sense of Godly?” So if you tell me you have a good candidate, I simply ask: “Do you mean good, in the sense of Godly? Pray for wisdom from above!

David’s Sling – Israel’s New Missile

End the Unjust Occupation JPEG You have to love the name of Israel’s new defensive missile shield: David’s Sling. Modern Muslim propaganda tries to paint Israel as Goliath and Islam as David. This, in spite of the simple demographic reality seen in the map pictured here.

So, what is David’s sling? You may be familiar with the Iron Dome system which has proved 90% effective in shooting down short-range rockets and missiles. David’s sling is a mid-range defense.

The David’s Sling System is the middle tier of Israel’s multi-layer defense layer. The lowest layer is the Iron Dome system, capable of intercepting short-range missiles. David’s Sling is intended to engage missiles with a range of 70-250 kilometers; and the Arrow-2 (operational) and Arrow-3 (under development) are intended to engage long-range missiles.

“After a series of concluding trials of the David’s Sling aerial defense system, Israel’s Missile Defense Organization at the Defense Ministry, together with the US Missile Defense Agency, began delivering major components of the system to the Israeli Air Force,” the ministry said in a statement.

“David’s Sling will allow Israel to more effectively defend against the wide range of current and future threats to its civilians,” the ministry added. Times of Israel March 1, 2016

Netanyahu: Palestinian terrorism not motivated by despair Prime minister says Arabs’ frustration caused not by their inability to build but their inability to destroy Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said attempts to explain Palestinian terrorism as motivated by despair were “incorrect.” Terror attacks, he said, “don’t come because of their despair and the frustration over the inability to build. They come because of their despair and the frustration over inability to destroy.”

He took issue with the desperation claim, saying it “exonerates the Palestinians from being responsible for their actions.” He noted that Arabs had attacked Jews in Israel “before the state was founded and afterwards, before there were territories and settlements and afterwards, when there was a peace process and when there wasn’t one.” Times of Israel February 29, 2016

I love how Netanyahu always manages to speak with such moral clarity. As the US slogs through a shameful political election season debating spray-on sun tans and insults, Israel has no time for such frivolity. Its very existence is at stake. He is spot on to say frustration is not the Palestinian motive. The reason he is clear is because he is a Bible student. Here is how the Bible describes the terrorists’ motive.

Fabric Found from King David Era

Once in a while, archaeologists find something that both confirms the Bible and is simply fascinating in its own right. Such a find is the priceless collection of fabrics from King Solomon’s mines. Here is an excerpt from the Tel Aviv University team:

This is the first time textiles from that period have been discovered, and they are expected to provide information on the clothes and fashion that were used by ancient Israelites, as well as the neighboring Edomites…. “No textiles have ever been found at excavation sites like Jerusalem, Megiddo and Hazor, so this provides a unique window into an entire aspect of life from which we’ve never had physical evidence before,” Dr. Ben-Yosef said.

TAU masters student Vanessa Workman elaborated: “We found linen, which was not produced locally. It was most likely from the Jordan Valley or Northern Israel. The majority of the fabrics were made of sheep’s wool, a cloth that is seldom found in this ancient period. This tells us how developed and sophisticated both their textile craft and trade networks must have been.”

In addition to the fabric, archaeologists discovered well-preserved seeds, leather and other rare artifacts. “This is the first time seeds from this period have been found uncharred and in such large quantities,” said Dr. Ben-Yosef. “With the advancement of modern science, we now enjoy research options that were unthinkable a few decades ago. We can reconstruct wine typical of King David’s era, for example, and understand the cultivation and domestication processes that have been preserved in the DNA of the seed.” Israel National News

Yehovah, God of Israel is revealing His glory in Israel. I don’t need archaeology to confirm the Bible truth, but it is certainly exciting to see God’s favor and restoration in the Land! He has turned the page from judgement to restoration for Israel. It is the dawn of the new day in prophetic history.

To Scarf or not to Scarf?

Last week I wrote on World Scarf Day. This week we need to dig a little deeper. Really, why are naïve Westerners joining the Islamic propaganda machine by calling for women to wear the Islamic head scarf, the hijab?

This Dry Bones cartoon highlights the confusion. While their own citizens are murdered for refusing to wear it, the capital city of Ottawa, Canada calls for Canadians to wear the scarf. This ignorant duplicity must be exposed. Here is a great excerpt from an article published by The Gatestone Institute.

This Thursday, February 25, 2016, the city of Ottawa will be holding a public event celebrating the hijab, Islam’s physical repression of women.

The outrage is that Hijab Solidarity Day will be taking place under the auspices of the City of Ottawa, the capital of Canada. It is not the role of a democratic government to celebrate religious symbols or to help religions proselytize.
The government’s acceptance of an Ottawa Hijab Solidarity Day amounts to accepting a radical legal system that is completely contrary to Canada’s democratic values, and crosses the line that separates Church and State. Endorsing the hijab is endorsing the first step of an extremist ideology that leads to and condones honor killings, female genital mutilation (FGM) and the oppression of women.
In 2007, Aqsa Parvez, a 16-year-old Pakistani Muslim living in Toronto, was strangled to death by her father. Her crime was that, as a free woman in Canada, she chose not to wear a hijab. In another case in Canada, in 2012, four Muslim women were murdered by their own family for refusing to wear a hijab and preferring Western clothing. What Is Canada Doing Celebrating Hijab Day?

Last week I emphasized the Biblical name of God, Yehovah. Here is an excerpt from my book, Simple Islam, which takes it a step further. Judeo/Christian nations need to heed the four Bible prohibitions listed here.

Chapter 11 – Stop Saying the Names of other gods

Most God-fearing Christians and Jews completely understand and respect the first commandment to have “no other gods” before Yehovah. Yet, in the Western nations, including America, many have opened up their thinking to other gods in the name of tolerance. This makes me want to ask them: “What part of ‘no other gods’ don’t you understand?”

It is only recently that I have found a more specific prohibition on the subject. You may have noticed by now that I am reluctant to say or write the name of the god of Islam. It is because the Bible prohibits it! What if we in America or at least believers were to practice the following four scriptures? Notice how the Holy Spirit progressively adds another component to the prohibition with each verse.

Here is the prohibition

And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth. (Exodus 23:13).

Then Joshua adds three more conditions.

You shall not make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause anyone to swear by them; you shall not serve them nor bow down to them, but you shall hold fast to Yehovah your God, as you have done to this day. (Joshua 23:7).

The way a person converts to Islam is by standing in a public place and swearing allegiance three times to the god of Islam and his messenger, Muhammad. The next step is to serve that god and bow down to it. You have seen many examples of Muslims doing that even in public five times a day. I am ashamed to say that in a widely publicized picture, President Obama, who professes Christianity, bowed down 90 degrees from the waist to the King of Saudi Arabia, who is the religious custodian/keeper of Mecca.

The third scripture introduces another aspect, blood, which especially applies to Islam. This blood thirsty death cult delights in the shedding of blood in the name of their god. Hence, we hear the perverse oath proclaimed by every suicide bomber before detonation, that his god is the greatest.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips. (Psalm 16:4).

Fourth, Hosea adds a final point. Not only will we not speak their names, but eventually their names will not even be remembered.

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, and they shall be remembered by their name no more. (Hosea 2:17).

Words matter. It is time to re-think our terminology and our naïve embracing of other religions.

World Scarf Day

Actually, it is called World Hijab Day. It is one of the most dangerous tools of Islam to deceive the West. Their narrative is that it is a wonderful way to choose modesty. In point of fact, however, it is used in radical Muslim theocracies to imprison women and to mark those who refuse as apostates. Don’t believe the lying propaganda.

The history of modern Turkey illustrates my point. As a consequence of losing World War I, the Ottoman Empire was required to abolish the Caliphate headquartered in Turkey. Turkey was legally secularized and the hijab faced a widespread ban in most circles. After 80 years, a new leader arose in Turkey (Erdogan) who legalized the hijab once again. This has directly contributed to the new radicalization of modern Turkey. His plea was for “democratic freedom” to wear it. However, once it became legal, husbands and male authorities were able to persecute any who refused it. Thus we see it increasing every year as women are once again enslaved by this totally sexist religion.

World Hijab Day is now invading American schools as a way of experiencing and learning about Islam. Here is a quote from a school principal who endorsed it for her school in Rochester, New York, followed by comments from the Clarion Project:

“We are an experiential school; we engage kids in all kinds of activities and projects all of the time, so the perspective of being able to learn what a hijab is, why some women choose to wear it and why some women don’t choose to wear it, and we provide the opportunity to experience it; it is well within protocol of experiential learning.”

Unfortunately, learning about “why some women don’t choose to wear it” – or more pointedly, what happens to women in certain Muslim countries and societies who have no choice whether or not to wear it — was not part of the program.

As prominent Muslim human rights activist Asra Nomani writes in the Washington Post, events such as these are a “painful reminder of the well-financed effort by conservative Muslims to dominate modern Muslim societies”.

I highly recommend The Clarion Project as an excellent source. Of course, I also invite you to read my book, Simple Islam. I explain how Islam and the Bible are irreconcilable. We need to know the personal name of God. Yehovah is the God Israel and the Bible. Islam’s god has a different name and a very different character.

And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am Yehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, Yehovah your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:1-6

We are living in perilous times. Make sure you know your Bible and know how to hear from the Holy Spirit. That is especially necessary for this Presidential Election. (But that is a blog for another day.)

Great News for Israeli Christians

Most Christians in Israel are not Arabs. This is a little known fact. The Palestinian Arab population came with the Muslim conquest hundreds of years after Jesus walked the Land. But there was another people group during that period called Arameans. Jesus Himself spoke Aramaic as well as Hebrew.

Today, most of the so-called Arab Christians are actually Arameans. The great news is that Israel has now recognized them as a separate ethnic identity among Israeli citizens. I have written of this previously, (Israeli Christian Citizens in the IDF?) but this is a further update. Here is the new article:

Israeli Christians Officially Recognized as Arameans, Not Arabs Earlier this year, Israel took the first step in recognizing the nation’s Christians as an independent minority. Now, local Israeli Christians can register as a distinct ethnicity, as well. Lumped together with the Arab population for centuries, Israel’s Population, Immigration and Border Authority (PIBA) has been instructed to now recognize the bulk of the country’s Christians as Aramaeans, the actual ethnicity of most of the region’s Christians prior to the Arab Muslim conquest. “The existence of the Aramean nationality is clear and obvious,” wrote Interior Minister Gideon Saar in his official directive to the PIBA. Saar noted that local Aramean Christians have a distinct “historical heritage, religion, culture, descent and language” – all the conditions necessary to be recognized as a national or ethnic group. The change in the national registry will be by request for those Christians born into Christian families or clans and who can speak Aramaic. Financial Spots

This decision will liberate the Aramaic Christians from being under the thumb of the Muslims. Already, these Christians are loyal citizens of Israel, serving in the Israel Defense Forces with distinction. They are clearly pro-Israel. I praise God for this wonderful news. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East where Christians are valued equally. Most Muslim countries officially discriminate against Christians at the least, and commit genocide at the worst. We need to pray for persecuted Christians and rejoice at the recognition they now have in Israel.

3 Palestinians killed as daily violence grinds on – CBS

We have been talking a lot lately about media coverage of Palestinian terror attacks lately. Over 30 Israelis have been killed individually in the last four months by the ongoing “knife intifada”. This week it escalated to the use of semi-automatic weapons when three terrorists intended to murder many at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem. A nineteen year old female Israeli guard was killed and another wounded, but the killers were killed.

Yet, CBS used the above headline on their initial story! Here is a reprint of an excellent article from Israel Today Magazine (which I highly recommend).

The mainstream international media on Wednesday again demonstrated its outrageous bias against Israel in reporting on the terrorist attack near the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City.

The culprit this time around was the American television network CBS, whose news website headlined its report of the incident “3 Palestinians killed as daily violence grinds on”.

It’s fairly simple to ascertain the goal of such an elusive headline.

The initial impression most readers would get is that the three Palestinians in question were the victims. And since so many news consumers these days merely scan headlines, they would have walked away believing that.

The problem is that the Palestinians were in fact the perpetrators.

An online outcry resulted in CBS later changing the headline to “Israeli police kill 3 alleged Palestinian attackers”. It was subsequently altered again to “Palestinians kill Israeli officer, wound another before being killed”.

At no point did CBS publicly apologize or clarify its change.

Israeli media officials called for all Israelis to denounce CBS’s blatant bias as loudly as possible, while Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon called the fraudulent headline “unprecedented chutzpah.”

This debacle has provided an opportunity to again highlight why it is so important to find a reliable source of news from Israel.

The news must be read with a critical eye, knowing that important elements were probably omitted, perhaps purposefully so. Tailwind for Terror

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon showed his bias and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned his words this week in a heated exchange.

Netanyahu blasts UN’s Ban: “Your remarks are a tailwind for terror“ Speaking to the UN Security Council in a session on the current situation in the Middle East, Ban condemns terror wave, but says it is ‘human nature to react to occupation’… Netanyahu accused UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday of supporting Palestinian terrorism.

“It is human nature to react to occupation, which often serves as a potent incubator of hate and extremism,” Ban had told a Security Council meeting in New York.

In what became a war of words, Netanyahu shot back: “The secretary-general’s remarks provide a tailwind for terrorism. There is no justification for terrorism. Those Palestinians who murder do not want to build a state, they want to destroy a state and they say this openly.”

Ban made his remarks on the same day that terrorist victim Shlomit Krigman, 23, was buried in Jerusalem. The young woman was fatally stabbed on Monday evening by two Palestinian terrorists. Jerusalem Post 1-26-16

Ban Ki-Moon later tried to walk back his remarks, but the damage was done. By using the excuse of “human nature” to describe the Palestinian terror attacks, he indeed justifies the terror. He links resistance to “occupation” with human nature. The problem is that the specific type of resistance employed by terrorist is not human, it is demonic. It is not “natural” to send 13-year-old boys and girls to stab women while they are simply shopping. Shlomit Krigman was buried the same day as Ban’s remarks. The 23-year-old was grocery shopping when stabbed to death by two Palestinians, one of which was 17 years old. Stabbing innocent civilians is not legitimate “resistance to occupation.”

Update: Terrorist murderer’s mother and sister throw candy celebrating his “martyrdom.”

This is not only an Israel problem. This perverse form of rationalizing is spreading everywhere. It is part of prophesied “last days.”

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. Breathtaking Boycott

There has been a growing anti-Israel, anti-Semitic boycott of Jewish products for several years. However it has now sunk to unprecedented depths of depravity. The BDS (boycott, divest and sanction) movement has been mainly on university campuses and some church denominations tainted by the error of replacement theology.

Now, 343 scholars from the United Kingdom called on their peers to boycott Israeli academic institutions in an ad they published in The Guardian. In the text of the petition, which is called “a commitment by UK scholars to the rights of Palestinians,” the academics pledged not to publicly cooperate with universities and colleges in the Jewish state, although they said they would continue to communicate with individual Israeli scholars. Jerusalem Post 10-27-15

Israel is working to overcome “an upcoming vote by the American Anthropological Association in which its 12,000 members will vote on whether to adopt a boycott and refrain from formal collaborations with Israeli academic institutions.” Jerusalem Post 1-20-16

But even worse, 71 doctors from the United Kingdom have now called for a boycott: The Knesset panel also heard from Dr. Zeev Feldman, chairman of the Israeli Medical Association World Fellowship and president of the Israeli Neurosurgical Society, who revealed that the latest boycott call comes from a group of 71 British doctors … Feldman said the doctors penned a letter last week to the World Medical Association seeking to expel the Israeli Medical Association, claiming that Israeli doctors carried out “medical torture” on Palestinian patients. This is lunacy. Consider the record of Jews winning Nobel prizes. Nobel Prizes have been awarded to over 850 individuals, of whom at least 170 individuals (20%) were Jews, although Jews comprise less than 0.2% of the world’s population. Wikipedia

Meanwhile, Muslims comprise over 23% of world population and have had 12 Nobel Prizes. (One of these was a Peace Prize given to Yasser Arafat, the infamous Palestinian terrorist): As of 2015, twelve Nobel Prize winners have been Muslims. More than half of the twelve Muslim Nobel laureates were awarded the prize in the 21st century. Seven of the twelve winners have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, including a controversial award to Yasser Arafat. Wikipedia

Jews have found cures for many diseases. Do the British doctors also want to refuse this medicine? Here is a partial list: Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Heart Disease, Headaches, Typhus, Diabetes, Mental Disorders, Polio, Convulsions and Tuberculosis.

We can only pray to God for mercy for Israel, His chosen ones. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

God’s Choice

Israel was chosen by Yehovah God for a reason. It was His choice. To question the choice is to challenge God. Here is the shocker. He chose Israel as His means of blessing all the other nations of the earth. God did not choose them as a way of excluding the nations, but as His method of inclusion. How did the nations react? They were jealous, resentful and covetous of the blessing. He did not choose them because they were better, they were better because He chose them.

Yet God’s original plan is clearly spoken in Genesis.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

“Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.“ Genesis 28:14

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of Yehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Isaiah 2:2

What motivates Yehovah? Did God bring Jews back to Israel from all over the world to just destroy them? No, that is the mantra of Iran. Did God originally choose Israel as a means to reject the world? No, His motive was to pave the way for all the nations to be blessed through Israel. Did God later choose the Church so He could find a way to completely and permanently reject Israel? No! He never gave up on them. He vowed to restore them and we have seen it in our lifetimes. Blessing Israel Ch. 13

After the fall, God kept His promised seed of the Messiah passing from generation to generation from Adam through Seth and on to Noah. However, the rest of mankind had become so wicked that the flood took them all away except righteous Noah and his family. After the flood, God singled out Abraham who was in the chosen lineage. Yehovah blessed him and narrowed the favor to Abraham’s son Isaac and his son Jacob (whose name was changed to Israel). He even narrowed it further by declaring the seed would come through David’s lineage.

It is at this point in God’s redemptive story, that an interesting phenomenon surfaces. As God chooses Israel for special blessing, the other nations become resentful and jealous. Never mind that in God’s heart Israel would become the salvation of the nations. The Gentiles could not see that far down the road and began attacking Israel to destroy her, an intent that continues into the 21^st Century! Remember John 3:16 tells us God loved the world so much that He gave His Son.

Rather than God’s choice of Israel eliminating salvation for the other nations, in God’s heart it was the means of saving them. He intended to bless all nations through Israel! Blessing Israel Ch. 3

God’s End Game

We have reached the climax of the ages. It is crunch time. I mean that in the clearest possible prophetic declaration. This is not symbolic. We are living in the last generation. I believe it with all of my heart and explained where the Bible teaches it in my book, Generation Last. This is no shameless plug, I am serious.

Through history God has been building up His Plan and preparing His people for their roles. Abraham was ready. Moses was ready. David was ready. Jesus was ready. This is our time, and we are ready! God is with us, God is for us. We are important in our places as He establishes Zion. This is not just another century, or just another millennium. This is the End Game. Fasten your spiritual seatbelt.

We can absolutely trust God to do His part. YEHOVAH GOD IS READY! He is advancing us forward into our pre-selected positions. This is the day for the glory of God to shine in us.

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of Yehovah is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

Terror Child Abuse – PA Style

Today we celebrate our grandson’s sixteenth birthday. We are going to see the new Star Wars movie in IMAX 3D. Yet, in Bethlehem, a completely different celebration was recently held. It was a birthday of sorts. It celebrated 51 years since the Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) first terror attack. This Bethlehem parade was sponsored by the Palestinian Authority (PA), Israel’s “peace partner” for the failed “two-state solution.”

Palestinian children holding axes, either real or fake guns and wearing mock suicide belts joined a large rally adjacent to Bethlehem last week, celebrating the 51st anniversary of the first terrorist attack by Fatah, the party led by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. The reception of the all-out festivity stood in marked contrast to the request issued to Christians just a month earlier by the Palestinian Authority asking them to tone down their Christmas celebrations in the town of Jesus’ birth. It was notable that while the Bethlehem-based Palestinian news agency Ma’an covered the parade extensively on its Arabic-language website, the story was completely missing from its English-language website, which is widely followed by the international press. Yet another example of the Palestinians sending out completely different messages in Arabic and English, just as the parade itself was further evidence that Israel has no Palestinian peace partner at the governmental level. This is clearly the worst form of child abuse. It is genocidal. Kids are raised to be murderers. They have no noble purpose or redeeming value. Their goal is simply to kill Jews, to destroy Israel. And the world remains silent, just as the Hitler Youth of the 1930’s. Nothing good can come of this in the natural. Only Yehovah God can redeem. It will end with the complete restoration and blessing of Israel even as all the demons of hell are rallied against her. We have “read the end of the Book,” God wins! His Messiah will come right on schedule with salvation for all who will believe in Him.

So, what should we do? Speak up for Israel and God’s plan, of course. But pray for the salvation of Palestinians, especially the children who are being brainwashed as we speak.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. Jude 20-23

Devout Muslim Shoots Cop in the Name of Islam

The police news conference was crystal clear. This devout Muslim (according to his own mother), tried to execute a Philadelphia police officer in the name of Islam and the Quran in support of ISIS. This was by his own video confession. This attempted execution was Friday night and left the heroic policeman in need of multiple surgeries to save his arm.

Commissioner Ross says the suspect has given a full confession, saying he did it in the name of Islam. “According to him, police bend laws that are contrary to the teachings of the Quran.” Sources say the suspect’s full confession of the alleged attack was written down and recorded on video. CBS Philly

However, in the very same news conference, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny (D) perversely contradicted his own Police Commissioner. The Mayor tried to defend Islam in a cowardly “politically correct” denial of the stipulated truth. Here is his statement:

“In no way, shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teachings of Islam have anything to do with what you’ve seen on that screen,” Kenney said. “That is abhorrent. It’s just terrible, and it does not represent the religion in any way, shape or form or any of its teachings. This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers,” he added. “[It] has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.” (Click here for the video statement.)

Who made the Mayor an expert on Islam? There are millions of radical Muslims who base their entire religious ideology squarely on the Quran and Islam. What audacity for the Mayor to claim such omnipotent knowledge of Islam! We are at the point in prophetic history where official leaders blatantly lie publicly to deceive gullible people.

So, what does the Bible say? I submit two references for your consideration.

#1 – The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

#2 – But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 1 John 2:20-23

Israel Needs God Now More than Ever

New Mossad chief: Israel still needs God’s help In synagogue Torah speech days after appointment, Yossi Cohen says Israel needs God now just as it did at its foundation. The Prime MInister’s National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen, who on Monday was named as the next head of the Mossad, gave a particularly powerful speech at his synagogue on Saturday, noting how Israel was established with God’s help and needs His help today just as much.

“Without siyata de’shamaya (‘Heavenly aid’ in Aramaic – ed.) the state of Israel would not have been established,” Cohen said in a Biblical exegesis at the synagogue this Shabbat, That was true then – and today too, we need siyata de’shamaya. ‘Where there is no wise direction, a people falls; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety,‘” concluded Cohen, quoting Proverbs 11:14, which was taken as the slogan of the Mossad.

Two Points:

#1. The Mossad is the Israeli equivalent to our CIA. Wouldn’t it be great if the head of the CIA stated that we need God as much now, as at our beginnings?

#2. Wouldn’t it be great if the slogan of the CIA was Proverbs 11:14?

My takeaway from this story confirms the point in my newest book: Blessing Israel. As the nations rage all around, Yehovah God is restoring Israel. This is true on a physical level, but more profoundly on the spiritual level. God is calling Israelis and touching them in their heart, the very core of their being.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and specifically that all Israel will hear the Voice of Yehovah God Almighty.

The god who is Not a Father

A tenured professorship at a Bible college, and a Doctorate, do not guarantee protection from ignorance. The sad story of the Wheaton College professor confirms my point. She declared on Facebook that Christians and Muslims all worship the same god. She even quoted the Pope as her authority. I am glad for this controversy because it raise the discussion to the top priority: Who is God and what is His nature?

It started when Dr. Larycia Hawkins, a political science professor at Wheaton College, chose to wear a hijab (headscarf) in solidarity with Muslims whom she perceived to be misunderstood. It not about the hijab, it is a free country. Anyone can wear it. However, it one thing to wear it by choice as she and many Muslim women do. But in many other parts of Islam, it is not a choice but a command. Women and girls are killed for failing to wear it. This has even happened in Texas.

The answer to the ignorance is so simple, it mystifies me, that people cannot see it. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments emphatically teach that Yehovah God is a Father. Look at Psalm 2, “kiss the Son,” and Proverbs 30:4, “What is His name and His Son’s name if you know?” Of course the Gospels are based on God loving the whole world so much that He sent His Son to die for us. John 3:16

The Quran, however, adamantly defines Islam’s god as not a father. It is a blasphemous concept in the Quran. I have detailed this point in my book, Simple Islam, including quotes from the Quran.

4. And the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) differed not until after there came to them clear evidence. (i.e. Prophet Muhammad and whatever was revealed to him). 5. And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Al-h, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the right religion. 6. Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. (Quran Sura 98:4-6 click on 98)

Folks always like to get into the weeds and confuse the issue with complex religious arguments. But it is not complicated. If the God of the Bible is a Father, He is not the god described in the Quran. If you define your faith by anything other than the Bible, then you pick and choose anything you want to believe. The Quran and the Bible are irreconcilable. They are as different as night and day or, more precisely as different as the Moon god and the Creator God Yehovah.

To be clear, God loves Muslims and all people. He has called all to receive the promised Messiah, Yeshua. There is only one way to the Father:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority;but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.” John 14:6-11

Christmas Terror Tree

When you thought they couldn’t stoop any lower… How about a Christmas tree decorated with picture ornaments to honor the killers and stabbers of Israelis? That is just what this tree (pictured) is all about. Notice the “Christian” clergyman standing next to it. This has gained international attention thanks to a Twitter user name Rachel Steinmetz. Here is what she wrote in her Tweet: “Faces of dead #Palestinian terrorists used as ornaments on #Christmas tree in #Gaza, where #Terrorists grow on trees.”

I especially like her last comment: “Gaza, where Terrorists grow on trees.”

This is a new variation on a common concept practiced by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority for years. They name soccer fields after murderers. They name streets after suicide bombers. The sick cult of death knows no boundaries in their depravity. They even claim that Jesus was a Palestinian. Yet, if He was to walk into Gaza today, they would kill Jesus because He is a Jew.

Will the world ever wake up to the breathtaking hypocrisy? I think not. It is destined to get worse. The amazing thing is that God is not surprised, He sees that they do not love truth. Have you ever considered the following verse?

It cannot be clearer. One who does not receive the love of the truth will be lost. It is on our own head if we reject the truth. You may not like it that God sends strong delusion, but it is true. Pray that you can recognize the truth when you see it. Learn to LOVE the truth, even if it hurts. There are some who read this verse and reject God because they don’t want a God who would do such a thing. They love their own ideals over the truth.

Receive it! Receive the love of truth. God is offering it to all, no exceptions. He loved the world so much He gave His Son. So receive His love and receive His truth. I wrote in my newest book, Blessing Israel, that the secret to understanding God is to “stand under” Him. See Him as the perfect truth and conform your views and ideals to His truth. Fall in love with the God who is Truth and live!
