Words matter. Last week I wrote about “the F-word.” Today my word is Zionism. There are many confusing ideas about Zionism. For antisemites it is an evil thing like the F-word. For others it means total and uncritical support of all things Israel, even the government. For some it is a political movement supporting the Israeli right to exist. But I call myself a Christian Zionist because my foundation is the whole Bible. I am a Biblical Zionist who happens to be a Christian. The genealogy of Jesus dates from the beginning in Genesis where Eve is told that a Savior will come from her seed. Later He extended the promise specifically through the seed of three men, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When Jacob’s name was changed to Israel a nation was born. Israel was formed, not to limit salvation to the Jews, but as the incubator of the Messiah who is Jewish. He is Savior to all who follow Him, both Jew and Gentile. God made many unconditional promises to Israel including that they would be an “everlasting” Kingdom. He would keep His word even when they sinned and failed because God cannot lie. A Biblical Zionist does not worship Israel, but the faithful God who promised. Israel is living proof that Yehovah God keeps His word. Therefore, I trust Him with all the promises of Messiah Yeshua as my personal Savior. If God lied about Israel, how could we trust what He says about Jesus?

For Yehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: “This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” Psalm 132:13-14

“Hear the word of Yehovah, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’ “ Jeremiah 31:10

“Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth—” Isaiah 43:5-6

Tucker Carlson Accuses Christian Zionists of Heresy: ‘I Dislike Them More Than Anybody’ – “Mike Huckabee … and other non-Jewish Republicans among those who believe in Christian Zionism, which he called a church “heresy.” He added that those who believe in it are “seized with some kind of brain virus,” and said, “I am offended by that as a Christian.” Huckabee responded in a post on X, writing, “Wasn’t aware that Tucker despises me. I do get that a lot from people not familiar with the Bible or history. Somehow, I will survive the animosity.” Huckabee also said: ” I was so hurt by Carlson I had to take 1/2 a baby aspirin to sleep that night.”

Tucker Carlson calls Christian Zionism ‘brain virus & heresy’ during interview with avowed antisemite Fuentes – Former Fox News host and analyst Tucker Carlson continued his descent into rank antisemitism on Tuesday, publishing an interview with far-right podcaster Nick Fuentes, who has engaged in open holocaust denial and praised Hitler in the past.

“Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, and the valleys, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, because you have borne the shame of the nations.” Therefore thus says the Lord Yehovah: “I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am Yehovah.” Ezekiel 36:6-11

Are you a Bible believer? Zion occurs 160 times in the Bible. Israel occurs 2,570 times in the Bible.

Hallelujah! God is keeping His word to His people in this time of restoration. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and abundant rains this season.

2020 Zionist Story – Kissing the Ground!

Operation Tsur Israel: First 316 Ethiopian Jews Arrive Home – By February 2021, over 2,000 members of the Falash Mura are expected in Israel. Defense Minister Benny Gantz stated that “we are realizing the Zionist vision in its purest sense – Kibbutz Galuyot [the reconvening of the diaspora]. You, who stand at the gates of this country, carry on your backs a wonderful tradition of thousands of years,”

Kissing the ground, hundreds of Ethiopian immigrants welcomed to Israel – Ethiopia-born Absorption Minister Pnina Tamano-Shato arrives with flight, greeted with fanfare at airport, as plan to bring 2,000 kicks off, with thousands more still waiting. Waving Israeli flags as they came down the steps of the aircraft, over 300 members of Ethiopia’s Jewish community arrived in Israel on Thursday in a special airlift from Gondar. “I will be found by you, says Yehovah, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says Yehovah, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:14

“Listen to this message from Yehovah, you nations of the world; proclaim it in distant coastlands: Yehovah, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock.” Jeremiah 31:10 NLT

“Therefore say, ‘Thus says Yehovah: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 11:17

“This is what the Sovereign Yehovah says: The people of Israel will again live in their own land, the land I gave my servant Jacob. For I will gather them from the distant lands where I have scattered them. I will reveal to the nations of the world my holiness among my people.” Ezekiel 28:25-26 NLT

These Ethiopian Israelis believe they are from the tribe of Dan. Also, there are immigrants from India from the lost tribe of Mannaseh, and immigrants from Nigeria who believe they are descendants of Ephraim.

God is certainly regathering His people from the far corners of the world. Hallelujah! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain in Israel.

Is Zionist a Dirty Word?

Yet, I am honored to call myself a Zionist, a Christian Zionist,a Biblical Zionist. The historical prophetic meaning is made clear in over 150 Bible verses. That is the only way to understand that Yehovah God Himself is the number one Zionist. It is not primarily a political term, but a spiritual fact of God’s love and purpose for the land and people of Israel. Here are just a few verses, if you want to know Yehovah God’s heart for Zion.

King on Zion: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” Psalm 2:6

God dwells in Zion: Sing praises to Yehovah, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people. Psalm 9:11

Captives return to Zion: Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yehovah brings back the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad. Psalm 14:7

Zion joy of whole earth: Great is Yehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge. Psalm 48:1-3

Favor Zion: You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to her dust. So the nations shall fear the name of Yehovah, and all the kings of the earth Your glory. For Yehovah shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His glory. Psalm 102:13-16

God rests in Zion: For Yehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: “This is My resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” Psalm 132:13-14

Salvation in Zion: I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off; My salvation shall not linger. And I will place salvation in Zion, for Israel My glory. Isaiah 46:13

Ransomed return to Zion: So the ransomed of Yehovah shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 51:11

Zeal for Zion: So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yehovah of hosts: “I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal.“ Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says Yehovah of hosts:“My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; Yehovah will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.” Zechariah 1:14, 17

Cornerstone in Zion: Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” 1 Peter 2:6

Pray for favor for Zion and peace for Jerusalem!

Yehovah God: #1 Zionist

Let’s start with the heart. God loves Israel and we are in a new day prophetically regarding Israel as a nation. Later I will explain more about the Holocaust, but three years after that horrific event, God turned a page of history from judging Israel to blessing, favoring and restoring Israel. Understanding why He did this is to understand His love for Zion. Most people, even Christians, don’t have a clue about Zion. It has been obscured and maligned. Yet, Zion is a key to grasping God’s choice of Israel.

A hundred years ago, the word Zion was a positive word sung in many of our hymns, like: “We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion; we’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.” They named churches, schools, towns, and even a national park after Zion, but not so much anymore. The meaning of the word has been sullied and made into a curse word. Anti-Israel propaganda has changed the public perception of the word. No wonder, when it is now used like this: Dirty Zionist, Zionist pigs, Zionist apes, Zionist liars, Zionist occupiers, imperialist Zionists, and racist Zionists. Whew! With this avalanche of epithets, no wonder the average person is confused. Even within Israel there is confusion. In the 2015 election two liberal parties joined together with a new name: The Zionist Camp. The problem is that they were the party in favor of dividing the land and giving it to Palestinians. A true Zionist knows the land cannot be divided. What a shame that they twisted the meaning of Zionist to gain votes. Fortunately, the Israeli people were not fooled and the real Zionists won in a landslide. We really need to know God’s definition.

Yehovah also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; the heavens and earth will shake; But Yehovah will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. “So you shall know that I am Yehovah your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.” Joel 3:16-17a
