Charlie Kirk – One Kernel of Wheat

11 09 2025

The one Bible verse that speaks to the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk was spoken by Jesus concerning His own pending death. Martyrdom for the faith is part of every generation since. Satan did not stop with killing the Messiah, he continues to attack believers. Most of us never face physical martyrdom but have made the choice to lay down our lives for the Savior. It is the “way” of discipleship. We are called to follow Jesus. Charlie Kirk was a follower of Jesus, but became a leader of a generation. My prayer is that his one kernel of wheat will produce literally millions of Jesus people.

“I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. Those who love their life in this world will lose it. Those who care nothing for their life in this world will keep it for eternity. Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.”  John 12:24-26 NLT

From the first New Testament martyr Stephen, to yesterday’s martyr Charlie Kirk, the Gospel message is reproducing. Death for believers always ends with resurrection. Jesus was raised and sits at the right hand of Yehovah God. Charlie has joined Him. But the fruit that will come, cannot be counted yet.

I pray that a supernatural phenomena will sweep over TikTok and all social media. Millions of young internet addicts are hearing of Charlie Kirk for the first time. I pray that because of curiosity they will find Charlie’s videos and start binge watching to the point of conversion to faith in the Messiah Yeshua!

What action can we take? We are compelled by the Holy Spirit to speak up. This is not the way of cowards. Do you think believers will slink back in this hour? I think not!

  1. Pray for Charlie’s family and followers.
  2. Ask the Holy Spirit what you should do.
  3. Look for opportunities to speak truth in love.
  4. Talk to your family about Jesus.
  5. Engage with your neighbors, friends, and colleagues.
  6. Volunteer at church or for any godly cause.
  7. Activate your faith!

No more sitting on the sidelines. Get up and join the fight!

“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.”  Ephesians 6:10-13 NLT

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the United States!

Delivered From the Violent Man

1 08 2024

300 days

The Middle East is on fire! Exactly 300 days ago the head of Hamas was thanking his pagan god for the massacre that day from Gaza into Israel. Today is his funeral in Iran! Earthshaking events are now almost daily. Political, military, and even physical earthquakes have roiled the region. Assassinations and funerals are followed by loud threats of revenge. Israel recently had major success taking out enemy leaders including the #1 of Hamas, #3 of Hamas, #2 of Hezbollah, and several lower commanders. The actions were in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Yemen. Israel has moved from defense to offense. Major revenge attacks are expected that could lead to a wider war to the north. Even here in America there is a sense of growing threats of terrorism because of our open border and impotent administration. So, where shall we stand? Should we submit to fear and terror; or should we turn upwards and call upon our Deliverer?

“For who is God, except Yehovah? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; your right hand has held me up. Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip. I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.”  Psalm 18:31-37

The nations always pressure Israel to restrain, hold back, cease fire, and compromise. However, we are at a turning point. Israel is rising to push back the aggressors whose aim is the genocide of the Jewish people and nation. We must fervently pray for victory and wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Our loyalty is not to man but to the God whose unconditional promises will be fulfilled.

“Yehovah lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted. It is God who avenges me, and subdues the peoples under me; He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore, I will give thanks to You, O Yehovah, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name.”  Psalm 18:46-49

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Pray for Messiah Yeshua to protect His people. Pray for hearts turning to call on the living God for His salvation. Jesus is coming!

God’s Curious Warning

18 07 2024

Trump-Biden-reportedly-had-‘good-conversation-after-assassination-attempt-4110601374

When does man get in the way of God’s justice? Two presidents are going on two different paths. We are watching historic events with the attempted assassination of President Trump and the possible removal of President Biden. Of course we should be praying, but this may be a time to keep our hands off what God is doing. Notice the warning in this verse:

“Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Lest Yehovah see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him.”  Proverbs 24:17-18

We are warned against a certain type of gloating or glee when our enemy falls. God may be upset with our attitude and back away from judging our enemy because of our wrong response. I base this on another verse where even God Himself does not rejoice in His own judgement.

“Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord Yehovah, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?”  Ezekiel 18:23

“For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord Yehovah. “Therefore turn and live!”  Ezekiel 18:32

God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked because He grieves over their rebellious failure to turn to Him and live. We must conform our attitude to His. Yes, we are glad that we are free from the enemy attack, but restrain our response with sober recognition of their eternal damnation. Their end is tragic.

“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says Yehovah.”  Romans 12:19

Finally, this last verse warns not to exact our own revenge, but leave that to God. It even suggests that if we try to do it, God may step back and withhold His vengeance. The idea of giving “place” for wrath indicates it is His place to avenge us, not our place. Stay in your place and let God do His perfect work.

Historic changes are taking place right before our eyes. Watch, pray, and wait on God. Jesus is moving on the hearts of men by the Holy Spirit. There is virtually universal acknowledgement of “Divine intervention” in the failed assassination of Donald Trump. The name of Jesus is being heard this week more than any political convention I can remember.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and courage for PM Netanyahu to finish the fight.

Why  do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the explanation in my book: The Hebrew God Who Has No Name. And here is a link to a great visual from my friend Keith Johnson.
