Elisha Vision – Commentary

Israel will be never again uprooted. (See my last post.) But what about Lebanon? Their future is to be part of Israel. What does this say about the imminent Lebanon war?  Israel will win and Jews will live there. It also speaks of the “one new man” of Jew and Gentile united in Messiah Yeshua. (See Ephesians 2:14-16.) Amos spoke of the regathering of Israel from all over the world, but here is a prophecy saying they will expand to Lebanon.

“I will whistle for them and gather them, For I will redeem them; and they shall increase as they once increased. I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries; they shall live, together with their  children, and they shall return. I will also bring them back from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, until no more room is found for them.”  Zechariah 10:8-10

They come out of nations and come in to Lebanon and Gilead, which is in present Jordan. Since this is future, Hezbollah must be eliminated, thus the coming war. Also, Iran must be de-fanged as well for prophesied peace of Ezekiel 38 before the Gog and Magog war.

Notice the map showing the area between the Nile river (near Cairo) and Euphrates river (just above the name of Syria). Yehovah promised Abraham this would be the future inheritance. Lebanon and Gilead are part of this and will be necessary to make room for the regathered exiles.

“On the same day Yehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates”  Genesis 15:18

This not some last minute thought of God. He has planned it before the foundations of the earth. He has said it and He will do it!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for His protection and purpose for this next Lebanon war.
