Back from Israel with Overwhelming Gratitude

Land

Arriving home from Israel is always mixed emotions. The stirring of my spirit by tasting of the “Good Land” moves me to worship the one and only true God. Yehovah is the faithful one who keeps His promises. “Promises made, promises kept” is the perfect description of the unchangeable nature of God. He is the God who keeps His word. Yehovah is not a man that He should lie.

Modern Israel is such a miracle fulfillment that your life is changed forever when you see it with your own eyes. The impossible restoration of Israel shattered the predictions of its total destruction. Those who even now continue to work for the genocide of the Jews are doomed to failure, not because Israel is worthy, but because God swore an oath. Have you ever pictured Him literally raising His hand and swearing an oath?

…that you may enter into covenant with Yehovah your God, and into His oath, which Yehovah your God makes with you today, that He may establish you today as a people for Himself, and that He may be God to you, just as He has spoken to you, and just as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Deuteronomy 29:12-13

Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations,
And set up My standard for the peoples; They shall bring your sons in their arms,
And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders; Isaiah 49:42

“Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yehovah: “On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying, ‘I am Yehovah your God.’ Ezekiel 20:5

“Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, Acts 2:30

Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. Hebrews 6:17

This is the hope derived from seeing Israel raised from the dead, back in their Land, waiting for the Messiah. He, Yeshua, will surely come and save those whose hearts are completely His.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray for rain in the time of latter rain.

(Why  do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the best simple explanation I know, from my friend, Keith Johnson. Also, here is a link to my book which explains it in detail, The Hebrew God Who Has No Name.)
