Jerusalem: Target… or Prize!

13 03 2018

Israel forever

My last blog was a Messianic view of no more war in the song: “One Day”. Unfortunately, we must wait a bit longer for that glorious time. Today we see wars and rumors of wars abounding. Jerusalem is at the center of it all, both good and bad, but Jerusalem is not the target, it is the prize. Everybody wants a piece of Jerusalem. The Jews have it, the Muslims demand it, the Christians claim it and the United Nations wants to internationalize it. Yet, it will remain the city of God.

My speaking tour in Florida ends tomorrow night at Gulf Coast Church in Largo. The theme of this trip has been Jerusalem, the Prize.

We do not know all that will unfold in the months and years ahead, but I strongly believe Israel is a key player in whatever is to come. On December 6, 2017 President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and began to move our embassy there. That historic pronouncement ranks right up there with the Balfour Declaration. Yehovah God will bless the US because of it, but the world is united against us. It is a monumental prophetic turning point of history training the world’s focus on Jerusalem. Make no mistake, Jerusalem is the issue. Jerusalem is not the target, it is the prize. (Excerpt from Speak to the Dirt!, my new Kindle book available here.)

Jerusalem belongs to Yehovah God, and He has called it His city. There is not another city on earth that has been claimed by God for Himself.

And to his son I will give one tribe, that My servant David may always have a lamp before Me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Myself, to put My name there. 1 Kings 11:36

“This is what Yehovah says: You have said, ‘This is a desolate land where people and animals have all disappeared.’ Yet in the empty streets of Jerusalem and Judah’s other towns, there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to Yehovah. They will sing, ‘Give thanks to Yehovahh of Heaven’s Armies, for Yehovah is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says Yehovah. Jeremiah 33:10-11 NLT

Make no mistake, though all the nations oppose and threaten Jerusalem, they will fail and Jerusalem will remain the eternal capital of the Israel, the apple of God’s eye.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain in the time of latter rain.

(Why  do I use God’s literal covenant Name: Yehovah? Here is a link to the best simple explanation I know, from my friend, Keith Johnson. Also, here is a link to my book which explains it in detail, The Hebrew God Who Has No Name.)
