Elisha Vision – Commentary

Here is a great story of an Israeli Messianic Pastor near Tiberias. Pastor Daniel Yahav has long been recognized by the Messianic community in the Land, but this new honor is extraordinary. However, now he has been chosen as the Citizen of the Year in his home town in Israel. Daniel Yahav, pastor of the Tiberias-area Messianic congregation Peniel, has received this year’s Honorary Citizen Award in his hometown of Yavne’el, which is a real testimony given the Orthodox Jewish character of the Galilee community. There were times in the nineties when the Orthodox threatened to stone his people at a hillside meeting. There were also later threats to burn down the building they were renting. (Because of the threats they moved out of the building and yet it was still burned down the next month).

So it makes this more than wonderful that his town has honored him, because his town is heavily Orthodox. Thank you, Lord for favor! Let us continue to pray for Pastor Yahav and the Peniel Congregation.
