100 Rockets from Gaza Today

There is no sign of  a slowdown of projectiles fired from Gaza into Israel today. Israel hit back, hitting 40 Hamas targets after the first 35 rockets and then 25 more targets after a second 35 rockets this evening. (Now, over 100.) “No Sign of Ceasefire…:  Israel Today Live blog

At US behest UN Security Council to hold urgent meeting on Gaza barragesNations to convene Wednesday; Haley says council should be ‘outraged’ over rocket, mortar fire at Israeli civilians and ‘Palestinian leadership needs to be held accountable’. “The recent attacks out of Gaza are the largest we have seen since 2014,” US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said in a statement.

Earlier, Hamas and the Iran-backed Islamic Jihad released a joint statement claiming responsibility for the dozens of rockets and mortar shells fired at southern Israel throughout the day. Israel holds Hamas responsible for all violence emanating from the coastal enclave, as it has ruled Gaza since 2007.

As near as I can tell from early reports, there are two Israeli civilians and three soldiers with non life threatening injuries so far. One rocket fell near a kindergarten before school. There are no Israelis living in Gaza since 2007 and no troops stationed there. Yet, the duped world press shouts: “Occupation!”

Top minister warns Israel on cusp of war with Gaza: Israel Katz says neither side wants war but ‘we have a red line’; Steinitz: Israel could be forced to conquer Strip if rocket attacks continue. Israel is the closest its been to war in Gaza since the 2014 war with Hamas, Intelligence Minister Israel Katz told Army Radio Tuesday evening, following a day of intense rocket and mortar fire from the Strip and retaliatory Israeli strikes.

This calls for some serious prayerful intercession. Please join with us in prayer for peace in Israel. Most of the world stands opposed to Israel, but Yehovah God is watching over her and will protect Israel. He turned the page in 1948 after 1900 years of judgement. He is now restoring favor and blessing and prosperity to Israel. Through many wars and rumors of wars He is faithful, and Israel only grows stronger.

My help comes from Yehovah, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Yehovah himself watches over you! Yehovah stands beside you as your protective shade. Psalm 121:2-5 NLT

VP Pence: “Share the Gospel!”

26 05 2018

Pence

Excerpts from an Exclusive report from CBNHere are some thoughts from Vice President Mike Pence. (For the video link click here.)

In a last-second surprise appearance before a pastors conference in Washington DC, Vice President Mike Pence outlined how the Trump administration has championed causes important to the evangelical community and implored them to continue to, “share the good news of Jesus Christ.”

“Other than the service of those who wear the uniform of the United States especially our cherished fallen, the ministries that you lead and the prayers that you pray are the greatest consequence in the life of the nation,” the vice-president told those attending the 2018 Watchman on the Wall conference sponsored by the Family Research Council.

“Keep preaching the good news. Keep preaching in season and out of season as the Bible says. Always be prepared to give a reason for the hope that you have,” he continued. At one point, Pence shared his Christian testimony, a life-changing moment that came at a Christian music conference in Wilmore, Kentucky back in 1978 at the end of his freshman year in college.

“Forty years ago this spring, I literally walked down and gave my life to Jesus Christ and so I just want you to continue to share the gospel, share that life-changing message,” he shared.

As we continue to pray for God’s wisdom and favor on President Trump, we need to also thank our Heavenly Father for the clear and unapologetic faith of our Vice President. Hallelujah! He also stands shoulder to shoulder with the President on Israel.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain. Israel still had some showers this weekend. Thank you Lord.

The Right Prayer for Israel and the World

21 05 2018

ISRAEL LIVES! John Hagee prayed the official benediction last week at the dedication of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel. His was a prophetic voice that proclaimed the spiritual importance of the move. Since it was ignored by most Western media, I offer it here for your inspiration, as we join our voices in prayer and praise to Yehovah God, for the Biblical covenant restoration of His land and His people.

For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. Psalm 102:13

Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; Isaiah 40:2

At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of Yehovah, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Yehovah, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. Jeremiah 3:17

Thus says Yehovah: “Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound.” Jeremiah 30:18

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

What is Shavuot?

18 05 2018

Dry Bones Shavuot 2018Christians celebrate Pentecost Sunday this week. Do you know why? Yes, it is the anniversary of the Holy Spirit outpouring in Acts 2. But why did that great event occur on that day in the First Century? Most Christians are ignorant of the roots of Pentecost, but what about Shavuot?

Do you know that the first syllable “pente” means fifty? So what? Well actually, it is very important. The Acts 2 event was precisely 50 days after Passover. After the resurrection, Jesus told His disciples to wait in the upper room in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit power.

“And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.” Luke 24:49 NLT

But what about Shavuot? Jews also celebrate the same day (although they start at sundown Saturday). Shavuot literally means “weeks”, and refers to the seven weeks after Passover (49 days) leading on Day 50 to the great Biblical Feast of Weeks found in Leviticus 23:15-22. Jews believe that date is when Yehovah God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and the Torah. It is timed to celebrated the first fruits of the wheat harvest.

An interesting difference from Passover is the bread eaten. For Passover it must be unleavened bread. For Shavuot it must be leavened bread. Why is this? Christians understand the amazing symbolism. Unleavened bread speaks of Yeshua who was unleavened by sin. But Pentecost/Shavuot uses leavened bread which speaks of the leavening of sin in His people; that is washed away by the blood of the Lamb/Messiah Yeshua. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit leavening the whole lump with grace and forgiveness for the individual believer and for the entire body of Messiah believers.

Finally, for this Feast, Jews read and reflect on the deeply moving Book of Ruth, which is the Biblical story of love and covenant.

But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. Yehovah do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.” Ruth 1:16-17

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Israel Is-Real

16 05 2018

Dry Bones Pal kids

Let’s Get Real! That could be the slogan for moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem, the only capital city the Jews have looked to, for over 3,000 years. NO. OTHER. COUNTRY. HAS. EVER. MADE JERUSALEM. ITS. CAPITAL. CITY.

Reality also needs to be invoked in the Gaza uprising that has consumed most of the media. The nations are ignoring the real history and slamming Israel for the deaths in the Hamas attacks on the Gaza border. They again accuse Israel of killing women and children. Yet, even though Hamas did everything it could, to put women and children in harm’s way, the reality contradicts the propaganda.

Hamas official: 50 of the 62 Gazans killed in border violence were our members – Salah Bardawil’s confirmation means number of acknowledged members of terror groups who died on Monday and Tuesday is now 53 Israel National News

Our local NBC affiliate in Raleigh, NC at 11 PM Monday only showed video of the rioting, but no pictures of the Embassy opening ceremony. Hamas has aimed to destroy Israel for years, nothing new here. But moving our Embassy was a truly historic event, not deemed of any significance at all to WRAL-TV. The only mention was as the motive for Hamas attacking the sovereign border of Israel. Shame on WRAL.

Hamas will fail to destroy the Jews and disappear from history, just as the empires of the Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans and every other empire up to now. This includes the Nazis, Soviets and inevitably Islam. This is not because the Jews are any better people, but because Yehovah God, the God who is a father, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob made eternal, unconditional promises to Israel. Their very existence after 3,000 years is a miracle testament to God’s faithfulness to His own word.

“Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Yehovah: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations.” Ezekiel 36:22

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

Trump 1-1, Israel 1-1, Iran 0-2

11 05 2018

God bless Trump - Embassy

Not a bad week for the good guys. President Trump rejected the phony Iran deal. Israel dealt a massive blow to Iran’s plans in Syria by destroying over 50 Iranian military targets after they fired 20 rockets at Israel.

Add to that, the US Embassy moving to Jerusalem this coming Monday. Lots of good news for Israel. Also, the more we stand with Israel, the more blessings will come to our nation.

For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land. Joel 3:1-2

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. Zechariah 12:2-3

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain.

US Embassy: Banner to the Nations

7 05 2018

jerusalem-embassy-road-signs-01

He will set up a banner for the nations,
And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth. Isaiah 11:12

Next Monday, the Jerusalem United States Embassy will officially open. The following day, Israel will celebrate its 70th Independence Day. Then, on Wednesday, Guatemala opens its Jerusalem embassy. The list of other nation announcing or considering the move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem continues to grow. Paraguay, Honduras, Romania, the Czech Republic are a few of the dozen or so that are hearing the call.

This is the work of Yehovah, God of Israel. Seventy years ago He turned the page from judgement and Diaspora (the Scattering) to favor, restoration, blessing and prosperity. The Jewish people never won a war from 70 A.D. to the Holocaust, but from 1948 to now they have not lost a war. It is more than the might of Israel, it is the blessing of God.

As we watch the Israeli preparations and the enemies plans of resistance this week, remember that there is a higher purpose at work here. For the Arabs, Israel’s independence has always been viewed as a catastrophe, hence the Arab name for that day: Nakba, which means catastrophe. Every year, the Palestinians riot and protest, but this year there is a well-planned attempt to create violence and even to break through the Gaza border into Israel. We must pray God’s protection.

At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of Yehovah, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of Yehovah, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. Jeremiah 3:17

It becomes more and more important to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for rain. They have had rain each of the last three weeks, even though it is past the rainy season. Thank you, Lord!

Miracle Sign of the Messiah

2 05 2018

318189_385200644856014_100000982451242_1074244_222476338_nJews and Christians are both eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come soon. One of the most astounding signs is already revealed. Israel is alive! Am Yisrael Chai! Yet, many Jews and most Christians don’t get it. After nearly 1900 years of no national state, a miracle happened. Israel was reborn, on May 15, 1948. This year we celebrate 70 years as a modern state.

For believing Jews, it the first coming of the Messiah. For Messianic Jews and Christians, it is His second coming. That distinction is the major issue. There is a greater distinction between believing Jews and non-believing Jews. The same is true for Christians. Many Jews and Christians are not actually believing in the Messiah. They are just nominally following a religion. But there are millions of Jews who know the God of Israel, worship Him from the heart, and are waiting expectantly for the Messiah.

The same is true in “Christendom”. Many are Christian in name only and don’t know Jesus. They do not believe He is coming soon. Yet, millions of Christians know the God of Israel and the Bible. They eagerly look for the Messiah Jesus to return. I submit that the believing Jews and Christians have more in common than their un-believing brothers and sisters.

What motivates Yehovah? Did God bring Jews back to Israel from all over the world to just destroy them? No, that is the mantra of Iran. Did God originally choose Israel as a means to reject the world? No, His motive was to pave the way for all the nations to be blessed through Israel. Did God later choose the Church so He could find a way to completely and permanently reject Israel? No! He never gave up on them. He vowed to restore them and we have seen it in our lifetimes. (See Romans 11 for the full explanation.) Blessing Israel

The miracle resurrection of Israel is a great sign that the end of the age in near. Add to that the restoration of the people to the land, the resurrection of the Hebrew language, the liberation of Jerusalem, and even the restoration of the personal name of the covenant God of Israel: Yehovah! What a day to be alive. What a day to be His child!

If God raised a nation from the dead, don’t you think He can handle your problems? If you have not believed, isn’t it about time? Put all your eggs in one basket. Trust in God and His promised Messiah. This is the season of His appearing.

Who has heard such a thing?
Who has seen such things?
Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once?
For as soon as Zion was in labor,
She gave birth to her children. Isaiah 66:8

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of Yehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Isaiah 2:2

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:9-10

Pray for the coming of the Messiah and pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
