Elisha Vision – Commentary

Looking back a few months we can clearly see that the Arab Spring has turned to Fall. Governments are falling like… like… dominoes! It has been getting steadily worse, but the worst is still ahead. Just today there were multiple terrorist attacks against Israel from Egypt proving that the Egyptian military has lost control of the Sinai. The gas pipeline from Egypt has been blown up five times this summer. Also today, the US called for Bashar Assad, the dictator of Syria, to step down and let the people choose their government. This too, is destined to lead to disaster. Jordan will not be far behind in an overthrow of their King.

All of this points yet again to Psalm 83 and the next Middle East war as we have repeatedly documented. Much of this drama is missed by most Americans because of our “debt ceiling crisis,” Wall Street roller coaster, unemployment, and our general economic mess. (Not to mention the start of the 2012 political season.)

Every Sunday night I lead The Issachar Forum: A Prophetic Think Tank,  based on the Biblical tribe: From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take. 2 Chronicles 12:32 If we know our Bible and listen to God’s voice, we can understand the times we live in and know what God’s people should do.

September also happens to be when the “don’t ask, don’t tell” restrictions will be officially lifted in our military and homosexuals will get the special, privileged status they have sought after for so long. How will God view that? The potential (if not inevitable) explosion of the Middle East seems imminent. I don’t have the space to expand on the ten points, but pray and listen to the Holy Spirit. Ask Him what you should do about it.

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
