America has crossed over a terrible line. Paganism is “cool” now, for many. It’s not over, but we are in a life and death crossroads. We are at a choice faced by the children of Israel when they entered the Promised Land under Joshua. We are given a stark choice. Serve God, or serve evil. But the choice is not some nebulous concept of evil, but specifically other gods. If one does not serve Yehovah God intentionally, then by default we serve the purposes and intent of other gods. This is reduced to serving the devil. Most do not openly choose the devil. I am saying to not serve Yehovah has the effect of falling into evil. There is an excellent teaching out now by Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn called “The Return of the gods.”
“Everything in this book, everything in our world is changing, transforming our children, transforming the media, transforming our schools, transforming everything,” Cahn explained. “What if there was a reason? People who are not even believers are saying this is crazy. What’s going on? What if this went back to what the Bible says? What if the gods are not just mythology?”
We are living in a day when people call good evil and evil good. This is not a theory, it is obvious in our culture today. Isaiah saw this day prophetically in Isaiah 5:2.
Our choice today is the same as Joshua gave to Israel when they crossed over Jordan River. There is no middle ground. We either choose the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, or we choose paganism. What is your choice?
“And if it seems evil to you to serve Yehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve Yehovah.” Joshua 24:15
