Government corruption is a moral problem. It stems from the unrepentant heart of wicked men. The only remedy is to remove them from access to power. This is first a Biblical concept. There is a great example in the book of Proverbs using the process of purifying silver. In its natural state silver has impurities that cancel it value. These impurities are called “dross.” Silver has to be heated to at least 1,640 degrees in order to remove the impurities (dross).
“Take away the dross from silver, and it will go to the silversmith for jewelry.” Proverbs 25:4
Who knew the Bible understood silver smelting for jewelry? Yet the next verse is a direct extension of the analogy. It reveals that the wisdom of Solomon is not for jewelry but for the government of his kingdom. He gives us the answer for corruption in government. Remove the wicked corrupt people!
“Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness. “Proverbs 25:5”For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.” Romans 13:3-4
Whatever you think about the second Trump presidency, he is certainly following the wisdom of Solomon in Proverbs. It is our responsibility as citizens to stand with him in that goal. Amazing corruption is being uncovered at this time and he is “removing the dross.” We should pray for righteousness to be established in our government. This applies to Israel as well, if not more so. I believe Yehovah God has raised up both Trump and Netanyahu, not because they are pure, but because they are purifiers. Pray for them!

“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:20-21
