Elisha Vision – Commentary

What does it mean to Jewish American to immigrate to Israel. The Hebrew term is “aliyah” which means ascent or going up. In Biblical history Israelis went up to Jerusalem three times a year for the appointed times to meet with Yehovah. No matter where you lived in the country, you had to go up to Jerusalem because it is on a mountain ridge. Today the term is applied to those immigrating to the Glorious Land. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of Yehovah.” Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!
